we need to get over this special forces fascination

C 130s are for special forces, Chinooks are for SF etc

there are lots of other needs and plans for these equipment and the SF will be just one of the users

whats this nonsense about the Brits becoming Nazis?

They were worse than Nazis to begin with -- Late Victorian holocausts anyone?

the brits were just inhuman beasts, so completly devoid of any humanity, or empathy, that genocidal mass murder of the brown and yellow humans just did not register.

problem is where will this new joint company get its human resources
we are not exactly overflowing right now and HAL and other DRDO are having tough enough time retaining existing resources

they will raid HAL

and the LCA will suffer

Re: Indian Missiles and Munitions Discussion - June'14

Shouldn't the army be more concerned with lack of SPH for its strike corps than mobile SAMs?

On one hand per Akshay and others its depending a lot more on IAF for fire support and then its wanting SAMs.

I would first get SPHs, wheeled AFVs etc before looking for "mobile" SAMs
