Nice Pic. What different functions do the right/left joysticks do? Obviously only one controls the aircraft.

The two look different so its not the same function. Is one for the canards and the other for the main controls?

Nice article that explains how the thrust of the EJ200 will increase to 27-28klbf as a MLU feature. Also check out the sophisticated TVC nozzle being built by ITP, Spain also part of the MLU Tranche3 package. Plz check the section titled "Future of the EJ200" http://www.eurofighter-typhoon...

If the pre-req for the MRCA plane is an AESA Rafale and Typhoon get booted isn't it? Rafale F3 is going to fly only early next year and F3 doesn't have the AESA. Its only in 2011 that F4 with AESA will enter production ....

I agree with Shankar on the APG79 part ..... The APG 79 has some well documented problems that reduce its effectiveness. Its just that no one knows about this. And we shouldn't be in a situation where we find out the APG79 is not all that great after we purchase it.

Supposedly, The AAD is supposed to be equivalent to the Patriot/PAC3 or better. The PAD is supposed to be equivalent to the Arrow or better. :!: How can PAD be compared to Arrow. I agree that we must keep MIRV technology in mind as the final frontier for our BMD evolutionary process. Since it is confirmed that boost phase intercepts are very difficult we need to track each of the warheads in a MIRV missile warhead and destroy it before it hits the target. But as Dileep menti...

saty don't change the topic .... by talking about air or space based detection platforms. Let us now confine ourselves to a land based radar. Just for simplicity sake. Its also realistic. The fact that it is AXO means that most of the interceptions will be within earth's atmosphere. The variation is height is not important. What is important is the time taken to detect and track the BM. Now thats what the Radar does. The AXO system is not just the interceptor but the radar components...

Hi Johann ... summarizing what you just said .... It is impossible for any country to guarantee that India won't strike back against her attacker. The NFU policy amplifies that belief. The repercussions of nuclear conflict are so enormous its not worth considering a nuclear war.
