Was just looking at export to GDP ratio of various countries. Germany and Korea are about 45%. China and India about 20%. So enormous scope for catching up with the front runners.

It seems BJP has no idea who its CM face will be in Delhi. Kejriwal is no longer at the peak of his popularity. A good CM candidate would have won the state. Now it is a toss-up. The media has already started its anti-BJP campaign around CAA-NRC and the economy to appeal to the urban Delhi voters.

Yeddi's was a special case as he was removed from office and Fadnavis actually won. Shivraj may get a look in as he won 3 consecutive terms and lost narrowly (won in terms of votes obtained).

The NBFC crisis is far from over. It seems govt has not been on the ball on the economy one year prior to elections. Otherwise early measures could have been taken.

BJP political leadership is misreading the voters. They think the 50-60% vote for Modi means it is vote for BJP. If they had maintained the alliance with AJSU they would have swept the Jharkhand election.

Not to mention Hindus turning and voting saffron in large numbers. That is getting their goat. Only about 15% of the 80% Hindus are voting for them currently. Nearly 45% are voting for NDA and the rest for regional non-BIF parties.

Everything will have to be linked to an ancestor who lived in India on or before the cut-off date. It can be linked to any number of documents e.g. Adhaar. But without the former it is a meaningless excercise. So saying Adhaar is enough is not saying it wholly.
