Jagan, according to the BR IAF site, IAF is supposed to have 84 IS and 16 IM versions, for a total of 90. Even excluding the reservers, it amounts to 66. So, does it mean others were mothballed/cannibalized ?

Over the years, IAF, HAL and other industries related to IA and IN too would have experienced problems and would have come up with indigenous solutions just like the one for Jaguar. If anyone else has articles related to any such efforts, please post them here.

You are right Harry. I remember him mentioning that Indian pilots flew the czeck L-29s there and were familiar with that aircraft.

Is T-90S the exclusive version of T-90 for India? Did India go in Isreali/French/Indian electronic package for T-90 or was it the standard Russian configuration that was purchased?

Kamdev, From the interview, it appears to be atleast 3-4 years old. Is the previous general that he is mentioning Gen BC Joshi? Can you tell me when and where the interview was published?

Report from CNN says that the navy SEAL's gun jammed and then he was killed. What is the standard issue for a US navy SEAL ?
