I agree there should be no blocking by Indian authorities. rather they should sit and solve the problem together with Nepalese authorities. Otherwise goodwill will be frittered away and drive them away from India. Nepal is our brother, blood relation. Ties are stronger than one can imagine.

Yes, I think he indicated clearly HAL has firm 160 A/Cs of 8Sqrdns size with 20 A/cs in each.He also talked about progressive improvements as HAL themselves promised. Not particular about nomenclature but ready to take 120 Tejas conforming to specifications .

The only difference I see is that FOC seems to be kicked out of the way, if true. MK2 will be next iteration of LCA Mk1 and MK1.5. Incremental approach, as BRF suggested. HAL could be thinking from engineering perspective rather than research and development perspective.
