Well.... looks like there is some truth that the French are after the SSN deal. If they are willing to provide the reactor tech might be worth considering. Wonder how good the barracuda is with respect to Russian subs though. I guess as far as nuke subs go, Russian tech is next to only the Americans...

I am not a US fan boy and I advocate not putting too many eggs in the US basket but at the moment the F-35 is the only 5th gen aircraft out there. Well if we buy the antique that the F-16 is then we deserve all that we get. Having said that I have full faith in our babus to drag this well into the next decade :D

Why don't they just buy a cpl of sqns of F-35's off the shelf if they want to keep uncle sam happy and just ramp up LCA production. :(
