Re: Is the AMCA a pipe dream that will become a dead Albatro

With the J-20 already in the air, I would be happy if I see less in opensource and more in actual development than other way round. I hope they have done considerable work already on the AMCA and they go parallel on LCA Mk2 and AMCA. I would like India to pull off something parallel to Arihant in te...

Not a crack. An expansion joint. It is part of the design. If and when the article encounters high temperatures, the article needs to expand. Just curious - are these features consistent with stealth? The american 5th gen birds look like they are built with much better tolerances and surface finish.

Without question, there is overwhelming evidence to support superiority of Arjun over the tincans. Though we need to provide the best tech and weapon systems for IA to fight their wars, it is very important we design and develop them here. There needs to be change in thought process within IA to emb...

The building of the domistic MIC was not really the core focus of the armed forces. If it was, it would be a bonus. You need to look at the political context in which the armed forces exist, in order to have an accurate understanding of why the domestic MIS has not been build in the country since 1...

All aspects of transfer of license for production of TRDD-50MT are under study by FSVTS, which may not give its nod because of New Delhi's plans to develop a cruise missile with the range of 600 km and capable of carrying 350 kg payload on the basis of Lakshy So these DDMs are discussing either new...

Exports will just be a welcome byproduct, if it ever materializes. MK1 might not be good enough for IAF, but will be more than enough for less fortunate friends in Africa and Asia. Even as second hand fighters, this would sell better than Bundars, older gripens. With more MK1 there is sure value in terms of amortization of cost on imports (engines, radars etc). Ope...
