Re: Flight Safety

Wow 4 crashes of 4 different airframes in a short period. Its not like the saras where the aircraft was still under development and therefore the likelihood of problems occurring were higher. These 4 aircraft that have crashed are proven airframes. The An-32 crash is especially devastating losing so...

Re: Indian Interests

Regional variation is a huge problem in India. Comparing a state like Gujarat against a state like Uttar Pradesh is like comparing Taiwan to Zimbabwe. Such is the gap in economic development. This again is another factor in fuelling naxalism as the gaps between haves and have nots in society widens.

Re: Internal Security Watch

Bad News, Maoism seems to be ramping up in India. There have been 50+ security personnel killed in the last week alone. This is a war folks, we need an effective counterisurgency campaign soon otherwise i dont even want to think about the consequences.

Interesting. Seem the Sun is going into a mauder minimmum, last time this happened in the 17th century, there was an Ice Age. Hopefully this will happen again. India needs cooling down by a few degrees. :D 'Still Sun' baffling astronomers The Sun is the dimmest it has been for nearly a century. Ther...

Re: Chandrayan-1 moon mission

And youd think that if it were a hoax they wouldnt be so stupid to not put in any stars in the sky. It just goes to prove that the mission was real. Honestly some of these conspiracy theories like moon landings and 9/11 belong in the nut case category.

Re: Internal Security Watch

With regard to naxals India has to take a composite approach. Fighting them will not be enough. We have to deal with the underlying cause of the symptoms of naxalism. This include things like poverty, discrimination and ignorance by government machinery. Many of these naxals are adavasis or tribals ...

Re: Future strategic scenario for the Indian Subcontinent

Howevery alluring what brihaspati writes it is unfortunately a pipe dream. Its like suddenly expecting all african countires to give up conflict for peace- its simply not going to happen. Brihaspati its better for you to know this to save you years if not decades of dissappointment. There is close t...

India's politico-beuro-legal-police nexus once actually served the interests of India's people. Not any longer now it is choking them.

Re: Future strategic scenario for the Indian Subcontinent

You guys have WAY to high expectations of the Indian State. We will continue as before to do nothing and continue to suffer from terrorist attacks every couple of months. Do you guys really think that MMS is really ready to go to war with Pakistan? Answer: HELL NO. :((

Re: Future strategic scenario for the Indian Subcontinent

Just to juxtapose my previous post, i will ask the question what problems does an advanced state like Australia face? They include things like -obesity -effects of climate change -binge drinking -drug use -mental illness Bascially social factors. Its not like India doesnt suffer from these as well, ...

Re: Future strategic scenario for the Indian Subcontinent

Pakistan is already a failed state. When you cant control your borders and large parts of the country are in militants hands and when the political system is a bad joke, you have a failed state. Coming to the future stragtic scenario of India. Trust me i wish i could say that India is going to be th...

lol nice idea but i dont think NANO can handle much more power than say 50KW. Its very 'tall boy' and balance issues would come to the fore i think.

Re: Indian Autos Thread

Nano is a significant achivement by TATA, from all accounts it is a well put together car that is a lot roomier than its size would suggest. This is due to its 'tall boy' stance that maximises interior space and practicality. There should be MASSIVE exports of this little beauty to the African conti...
