Looks like most regimental centers support 18 infantry units apart from RR and TA units.<P>Anybody knows the logic behind this?

dsandhu, how can that be <P>Sharing of regimental centers is not new.<P>The Kumaun and Naga do it. The Nagas having only 3 battalions being the factor.<P>The Gorkhas do it. A Gorkha regiment having only 5-6 battalions is a factor.

Those two groups will be like our Army Commands I suppose. Well going by PIADS figures of 3 aircraft lost in 1997 and AAKs figures of 1.4 aircraft lost per 10000 Hrs of flying we can conclude that the PAF put in a mere 21428 hrs of flying in 1997. As an aside the soviets found out the hard way in afghanistan that the most effective army weapon system in their armoury in the mountains was the low powered 70+ mm gun mounted on their BMPs.
