I for one am very happy with the baby. Its got dad's dimples and mom's smile and all that.
Suppose one were to say that the baby has to be nurtured in order to develop the characteristics of its mother and eschew the tendencies of the father?

This is funny. TSJones sees that everybody whose argument is opposed to the main line of thinking here is a friend of his and his thoughts. He does not know how Indians debate even inside India. Yes, would admins do us a favor and tell him to go and play on some other thread, since he clearly lacks...

I am by no means condoning the millions of Hindu lives that were brutally masaccered by Muslims and Xtians alike. But I am glad they came to India for the culture it brought. I shudder to think what India would be like without rogan ghosh Smile, Indo-Islamic architecture, the varied languages that ...

Regarding the "point" Sajan is trying to make, I think the problem results from the clueless application of a Western framework to a totally alien context. Politics in the West has traditionally been highly polarized in nature. "Right-wing", "left-wing", "conservat...

Unlike some folks who put God in front of Country before they take on any issue We Indians put Country before anything else. And Marxists put their ideology before everything. Conceptually, it is the same framework! But I know this isn't what you mean. What you probably want to say is that the coun...

Alok_Nji: sure, it's the law. But in a democracy, is it beyond discussion? As far as the national flag is concerned, I agree there is the obvious issue of decorum, but in that case why don't we have such elaborate laws for spitting paan in the street? In the former case, the disrespect is towards a ...

Thousands of lives have been given for the same thing that the flag represents. But this is a subjective sentiment (which I happen to share), nationalistic as it happens and not religious. It is quite similar to religious Abrahamic sentiments. Some object to any representation of their Prophet, oth...

she needs to be in the dock and charged. Why so? Is someone going to slip on the flag and break their bones? Is someone's freedom going to be violated by the flag lying at her feet? Note the dichotomy here: Hindus who won't hesitate to call a respected Hindu "this woman" at the drop of a ...

I think refugees from Pakistan, such as Gujral, MMS, or Advani should not be allowed in the corridors of power. They have too many psychological issues arising from trauma and loss of 'home', which distorts their psyche when it comes to Pakistan. They end up succumbing to a deep inner desire to mak...

Strangely, about a couple of weeks before the conflict, I remember reading a CNN report stating Paki claims of having killed "70 Indian soldiers". There was no such news anywhere else and the story just disappeared.

Also, wrt Paki casualties, what is the real figure? 900? 4000? 2700?

Hi folks, I'm back after a while. This is awesome work. Now, on the suggestions to tone down the movie and make it more politically correct, IMHO please let us not ruin a good piece of work in this manner. The reason I say so is not because I necessarily have an opposing view to those giving the sug...
