This is typical of GoI. Get sucked in to Pak aman asha cycle and when a terror attack happens, Pak blames it on "non-state" actor, which it doesn't have control on  Then some nation acts as a go between and the aman asha cycle repeats. Now I am convinced there was a track 2 going on ...

IAF is thanking for the product support. Any design issue/software issue would have to be resolved by ADA, which spare parts issue by HAL. It is good to see IAF acknowledging that fact product support is good. This is more important than the fighter itself. Otherwise we will end up like Arjun , whic...

If GoI really wants, it has the way and means to increase buying of the firepower mass. Defence service, banks, DPSU all come under GOI. GoI could arrange for a sovereign loan from the banks or a local bond for Indian citizens to fund a major buildup of kit. What we need is numbers from local indust...

F404/414 are a concern, but not an major issue. GE engines are highly reliable, so you just pre-order lots of them. In the worst case scenario, we will have enough numbers to maintain the fighters for a while. When Iran can do it, why can't we.
Needless to say, we must invest in our own engine.

Yes they are. It is given we have similar videos. But then our "whiter than white" attitude to not hurt our enemies feelings means, I have not much hope it will be released.
Regarding the Chini videos, it is part of the game. We need to learn to provide counter narratives.

So PL-15 is around 10cm longer than Astra, but much of larger diagram. With Astra2 increase in diameter and dual pulse, it has probably managed achieving a similar range of around 150KM.
Also the talk about better propellant to increase launch speed of Astra, it will get more refined.
