What's the radar the LCA will finally have? Last I heard it was between EL 2032 and Kopyo? Although I think the IAF went for the former with LRDE developing "indigenous" antenna ? I hope better sense prevails and they go for a radar that is not restricted to WVR and doesn't hamper other fu...

This is why I have said time and again, that the GI's don't have adequate NV devices to battle Insurgency and Maoists. Anthony should step up and cancel the contract with BEL and go to BECIL and fund them for additional R&D if the need be but ensure that the products they offer are 100% up to th...

So, even in this case, there might be Yehudi angle but expect the DRDO to have chipped in with great deal of inhouse expertise. Exactly! As long as all the SW code was written & verified inhouse to ensure that no bugs or back door entries were left uncheck this should be a welcome move for the ...

Don't go by those numbers. 1000 missiles per regiment is an absurd number. Negative! If each target is allocated 2 missiles each, that brings it down to 500 per regiment with a higher kill probability(98.5% as opppose to 88%). So unless one knows the opertaional scenarios of how each target is bein...

Subtle weaknesses could rule out some of the contenders. Boeing's F18 is huge and the IAF isn't keen on planes that heavy. I think it is an exaggeration to say that "everything is unmanned these days". It would not be difficult to have a remote controlled 12.7 mm gun but 99% of 12.7 mm (0.5 in) guns in the world are manned because they are heavy enough to engage "medium" targets more than 2 km away ...
