Re: ABM/Missile Defense Discussion

One question - my understanding is that the main radar (of S400 or our own BMD) isn't always on. They get switched on only when the early warning radars - which are on 24/7 - detect something. How long does a sophisticated radar take to switch on or come online. My experience with everyday use home...

A noobie question. How will a ASAT missile be used in an actual event. If ever there is a need to use ASAT on an enemy sat, we will not have the luxury of limiting the debris cloud or the chain reaction that will be triggered once the debris creates further debris on hitting other Sats. Our experime...

If the RISAT was indeed disabled by enemy action, it just reinforces the point that we should stop tom-toming about the military satellites that we launch. All our spy satellites are launched with much publicity.

Even if there is a miracle geo-fence built in to a weapon, the next complexity would be whether the supplier (USA) considers Kashmir to be part of India or not.

They can always play the stance that geofence in Kashmir is a gray area.

It’s just naive of us to be knowingly misled.

Read somewhere that IAF dropped 6 bombs.
