Re: Indian Economy News & Discussion - Aug 26 2015

I think after Rajiv Gandhi, no Indian PM has systematically tried to absorb high tech manufacturing in India. He made efforts in Telecom ie CDOT, Fertilizer through L&T, LCA, ALH, Dornier, Arjun, Bofors, HDW, TATRA. He was following China model which China continued but we gave up for cheap impo...

Long term QE will always be a failure because it freezes economic development by driving up asset prices. The benefit of low interest rates is less than the hike in, say, home prices, which sub dues economic activity. Add the fact that China has access to 1.5 Billion slave labour, western world is g...

I agree that Fed MUST intervene in short term to prevent any market PANIC induced collapse but Fed should not take over long term economic policy. If stimulus is to delivered then fiscal deficit should be used with approval of legislature.

After reading the posts of the experts, it seems that :- Fiscal deficit is Govt borrowing money from the market, banks or the Central Bank by issuing bonds. If borrowings are from market then it will depress liquidity and raise interest rates therefore Fed has to buy bonds by printing money. The bud...

It seems there is also a Naval Gun FCR which is equivalent ( offshoot?) of ADFCR. If we already deployed L, S, C band radars and are working on three X band radars then it seems we have covered almost full range of radars.

Indira Gandhi wanted to free Balochistan but 1977 put paid to that. Setting up such huge mechanised arm of Indian Army and 1974 was part of plan. About Narismha Rao, he never overtly threatened Pakistan with attack or dismemberment but ran a very effective covert action plan against them.
