We should ask for meteor integration on LCA Mk1 for the extra rafale order. Otherwise, there is only a period of 5 years or so when these extra rafales will matter. By then LCA Mk2/desi rafale will be productionised along with the SFDR Astra 3.

About ~$50 million per gun. Not that expensive. I suppose these were chosen for future longer range 'smart rounds' that would increase the effectiveness of the gun in the air defense role.

When the Sivalik class/P17 (16.9 meters beam) has two choppers, why will the larger Nilgiri class/P17A (17.8 meters beam) have just one? It makes no sense. Look at the model again, once the rotor blades are folded, two sea kings can fit in that hanger.

J10 is an LCA Mk2 analogue. PAF doesnt have the money to operate a two seat fighter like J11. So its logical that their next acquisition will be the J10 or second hand F16s if they can swing it.

India should consider putting LMT on a blacklist for two-five years if they sell or support F16s for Pak.
