Finally I see a negative number. May be it is too early to celebrate but looking at the past 10 days the trend of active cases is down. Confirmed cases - Recoveries is NEGATIVE today. 329379-355745 = NEGATIVE 26,366

I have been taking baby aspirin (81mg) for years now and have felt no side effects. I am diabetic but well controlled sugar levels. Only time I was asked to stop taking it is when I had to undergo some procedure like knee surgery etc. So I guess every bit helps and this baby aspirin might help too.

Has anyone seen this video - kids packing swabs in the most unhygienic way. These things are supposed to be sterile, are they not? How can the results be accurate if this is the way they are doing it?

400k cases today. the numbers are not going down :( Infection numbers is not a good parameter to gauge the trend. Look for positive rates. We are doing more than 2 million tests per day. More the test, more the numbers. Positive rates, stress on hospitals, rate of death. That should show the trend....

Even though the case numbers seem to be increasing the recovery numbers are keeping in step and actually increasing. During the past five days the INCREASE in active cases is trending DOWN - 125919,126333,121461,117310,113341. At this rate we may see wave peaking around May 15.

What is happening with Remidisivir? There seems to be huge black market. My brother in law's wife is in the hospital Guntur, AP and they can not get it. Someone has quoted 25k per injection (1.25 lakhs for five) and we have to arrange a car to get it from Hyderabad (180 km away).

UK is mostly dependent on AZ vaccine. We have to check its rates for AZ effectiveness. It ordered 100 mil az and only 40 mil Pfizer and 17 mil Moderna.

How much do these private hospitals get paid for administering the vaccine? (My sis and BiL got their shots in HYD at a private hospital and paid only Rs 150 each. Dont know if the Private hospitals get their vaccine dose free from the govt.
