Pakistan does not have a third armd div. They have in the last 3 years raised 2 more indep armmd bdes. But an armd div ? Indep arms bdes are more their style nowadays.

The Field Coys were part of the Madras, Bengal or Bombay Engineers not the Bengal Lancers which were part of the Cavalry/Armoured Corps. <p>[This message has been edited by Mandeep Bajwa (edited 02-07-2001).]

Any discussion of the Pak ORBAT must take into consideration their para military forces which are much more effective than ours, better led, better trained and better motivated. What can one expect from our police-officer led forces like the BSF and the ITBP?

Raising 2 new field armies would entail raising HQs,communications, logistics at the very least. Re: PA Corps and Commanders - II

I've learnt from reliable sources that the PA has recently raised 2 new indep armd bdes, namely 11&13. There have been no new raisings of armd regts but withdrawal of some units from over-strength bdes like 3 at lahore has enabled the PA to utilise these for the new bdes.
