Re: Wuhan Coronavirus Resource Thread
Disha ji, ...The mask issue has been largely blown out of proportion IMO. In many East Asian countries, people have been routinely wearing masks when they have a cold or flu since decades. Its out of simple courtesy to avoid exposing other people to something you are carrying that you know is conta...

We need to improve our rocket's thrust quickly. How long will it take for us to reach Venus If we use the slingshot method? Aditya l1 takes 109 days to cross 1.5 million km, Venus is 61 million km away. 😂😂 The central government should, first of all, assign funds for NGLV. Then why is ISRO going wi...

... Last week, I was discussing about a hypothesis if the lander could hop to another location where sunlight is available. Isro proved me partially correct, however, it will need a lot of fuel which will increase its weight. As the moon's gravity is 1.62 m/s² and with no atmosphere available on th...

^ BharatP, since Moon is orbiting around Earth, a moon year is the same as complete revolution around Earth. Which is ~27 days. At the same time Moon being tidally locked, does a rotation on its own axis which again is ~27 days. So assuming Earth as a center, the moon year is same as moon month whic...

Vivek Ramaswamy gives me a very "Chatur Ramalingam" vibe...all the intense sucking up to Trump and every "good ole boy" tradition. Another fast-talking lawyer with no real accomplishments, in the mold of Obamudu (who did manage to take USA for a ride for 8 years). In particular,...

Coming back to needing a "sane" president....Ramaswamy is young in his 30s, and his views are, well....much younger than him. :rotfl: They are what I would expect from a hormone-loaded teenager. E.g., he says there are two genders and talks about X and Y chromosomes. Doesn't understand th...

Entering back to earth, how much thrust ratio needed compared to escaping the earth's gravity, my understanding is h...
