What I really hope we get is S400 integration with Su30. Bars doing the TWS, sending data across too S400 and the missile is then cued using the datalink.

Something what F35 does with SM6.

You could have a S400 missile coming at you, even if one thinks they are not being tracked by one!

We do have a GaN based radar in use. The QRSAM 4 panel radars on those truck are all GaN based. The S band radar created for A330 AWACS India was GaN based. Mk2 is not going anywhere. If we don't have money to buy 124 Rafale costing 150M each, would IAF have the money to buy 250 AMCA costing 150M each? That too with a 1 ton internal load out? The same problem will apply when Su30 needs to be replaced. How can you replace a jet costing 65M with 6.5 tonne...

Ukraine deployed UCAV to knock off artillery guns which killed a Ukrainian soldier. Imagine if we do this to PA on LC. No need to send in UAV, just invest in tech to pinpoint and use PGM. GOI is not being open about the poonch ops. It doesn't seem to want to escalate things and as usual the young men in the army will pay for this decision.

It could either be to divert us from an Chini op on lac/macmohan line or keep us away from Afghanistan.

Wonder why ADE went with a 2 engine design, when Rustom 1 was the a single engine design. They could have built a larger Rustom 1.

Also looks like Army Aviation guys are already involved in the Rustom 2 project. Hopefully this should expedite user trails.

For the PLA, given the open space they would prefer a SPH. However the drawback is exactly that: open space, easy to target by counter battery. It covers this drawback by using the truck to scoot after firing.

The difference in the type of artillery used by IA versus PLA is dependent on the area of deployment. M777 is shorted ranged than 52 caliber cannon, however it can be deployed in places where a truck or SPH artillery cannot go. You can deploy it closer to the LAC, while a SPH would be further back, ...
