China's Economy Will Surpass Japan's This Year http://blog.newsweek.com/blogs/wealthofnations/archive/2009/08/04/china-s-economy-will-surpass-japan-s-this-year.aspx The rise of China wasn’t new, either, of course. But the speed at which the shift is taking place, and the fact that China has remained...

Re: India-China News and Discussions
^^^ This fact is not highlighted often, but China is aging fast. Their median age is already 32+ which is quite high for a developing country. India, in contrast has a median age of 26. So, if the Chinese are to wait for another few decades, not only will the sex ratio hurt their demographics, but ...

Re: Perspectives on the global economic meltdown
X post. Good arguments from boths sides of whether China's growth is sustainable http://www.nationalinterest.org/Article.aspx?id=20952 All this talk of China being the preeminant economy is nonsense. China is seriously overbuilt for it`s 250 mil middle class now, and is on it`s way to being ludicrou...

China Showing Signs of Recovery? It is risky indeed for someone like me, on the other side of the world, commenting on a country with spotty economic data ( a function of size and maturity of its information gathering apparatus, as well as possible intent to put lipstick on pigs  ) to take is...

Re: China Military Watch
Hmmm clean config and maybe half a tank. Not bad for a chinese plane but nothing to write home about. Comparision with F-22 is hilarious. F-16A/B more like it. I do think the J-10 is a decent upgrade from J-7. But probably that's about it. I wouldn't put it in the same level of F-16A/B. n63WWYU4KIU
