Re: Armoured Vehicles Discussion Thread

Bhai log, between cms and meters, there is also another measurement called sq foot. That could be 20X20 sq feet board. 20'x20' still seems high. I would've though it would be closer to 2m x 2m. Look at it from a distance of, say, 1000 mts. It would look not so big. But yes, it still is bigger for m...

We already have Agni as a name for a missile series. Our already confused DDM's won't be able to make the difference. Nirbhay - We have it already for a cruise missile under development. Achyut & Arindam - Even though their meaning is suitable, they are not sounding ferocious. Rudra - Don't know...

How about Prachanda

Not as Pushpa Kumar Dhamal, but as Prachanda = Fierce in Sanskrit.

This will actually be a correct name for a naval destroyer. Just imagine INS Prachanda. Fearsome, isn't it? Also not bad for an attack chopper either.

^^^ Think its not a pilot error. The pilot actually started reheating the engine even before it came near the deck arrester wires(0.8 seconds in the video), as if some one has asked him to abort the landing in the last moment.

No, Shaurya and Dhanush has no relation at all. Dhanush, as you said, is essentially a ship launched Prithvi and is ballistic. Shaurya, OTOH, is a hypersonic cruise missile. It never leaves the atmosphere in its flight and is not based on Prithvi. Lot of buzz is happening here on BR about shaurya. Y...
