sanctity doesn't really matter if the opposition is on a single point agenda and hell bent on shutting down parliament to derail the entire session without any business being transacted.

The bills get passed with or without; the choice is to be made entirely and only by the opposition

things that gleaned from the interview that are very important.

Anchor (A)
Jagath Gaspar Raj (JGR)

A: Rahul Gandhi has given an important statement, I see it as something that should become a topic of discussion at the national level. He has said that RSS agents in Congress should be weeded out/removed. Has Rahul Gandhi realized this just now?

JGA: Just as you said, within Congress, there has always been a very powerful 'RSS-force' or RSS-thought process. People with a 'Sanatana' thought process [Sanatana is dog whistle for Hindu] are dominant within Congress. Even Mahatma Gandhi, whom you all adore, was a 'Sanatani'. Many of his activities, be it the Poona Pact, be it making religion a Centre list subject, in many many issues, he was a 'Sanatani'. Gandhi was soft-RSS; he knew that with Pakistan and Bangladesh (and their Muslim majority population) a future soft-RSS government in India will not be likely.

At that time, the foreign-educated Congress leaders, leaders who were barristers/lawyers, were of the view that the post-partition government of India should be a liberal, progressive, modern democratic government. Nevertheless, sections of the Congress inner circle has always had a soft-RSS standpoint.

I say this usually, it (the RSS) puts up an elaborate front, but it is actually an organization that is against humanity itself, not just against the nation. It has expansionist ambitions...it is in league with Sinhalese majoritarianism, it has absorbed in the Buddhism of Myanmar and Thailand. It wants to dabble in geopolitics in this way. It even tries to coerce Facebook to remove everything related to the Tamil Eelam issue. Linguistic memories, ethno-nationalism...it tries to inject these into the future Empires. By future Empires, I do not mean BJP or Congress, DMK or ADMK. The future empires are going to be Google, etc. The RSS is scheming now to a part of this Empire.

A: The current BJP government is attacking these empires now (Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)

JGR: Those attacking are not those Empires (Google etc.) The attacking party is what we call Renaissance. Today, the Church is irrelevant in the European landmass, honestly speaking. People attend them for namesake, merely as a cultural memory. Like festivals in our place.

->Christianity has transformed itself into a progressive, modern vision for humanity.

Who is behind this Renaissance? They are the ones who rebelled against the erstwhile Church hegemony. They are the same forces responsible for modern European democracy. If you ask me, whether American or European democracy is more promising for humanity, I certainly think it is European democracy.

-> Because the forces behind European democracy are the ones that made human rights a fundamental right.

-> What you have in Europe is the fruits of a Renaissance caused by a forward-thinking/progressive Christian thought. So, the attack on BJP/RSS is from this line of thought (the liberal, progressive Christianity of Europe). Take Amnesty International - Facebook did not pin down NSO, the Israeli firm involved in the Pegasus scandal. It was Amnesty that exposed this whole episode of illegal spying. Amnnesty International is an arm of Liberal Democracy. So you should not see it that way (as Google/Facebook attacking BJP/RSS).

-> Today, actually, in Covid issue, be it Washington Post, Le Monde or Guardian and other Western papers, the forces uniting against Modi today are Renaissance forces, the Liberal democratic progressive forces. It is difficult for people from here (India) to defeat Modi.

-> But, liberal democratic global forces will defeat him! They will fix him, you wait and see.
They (BJP and RSS) will call it a conspiracy by foreign forces against India. (To BJP and RSS): say the conspiracy is against you, not against India. It is a conspiracy against the havoc you made. But, basically it is liberal democratic forces (who are against BJP/RSS and Modi).

A: You see Rahul Gandhi in that mould? (as an usherer in of liberal democracy)

JGR: Yes, I see him as a liberal democrat.

-> JGR: Yes definitely. See, today, when it comes to national unity, the RSS and Congress are on the same page. How is this possible? 'Sanatanam' needs the Indian state. The Tamils don't need it (the Indian state). The Telugus don't need it. The Kannadigas don't need it.

A: Bengalis don't need it too.

-> JGR: Yes, they don't need it. But 'Sanatanam' needs a united India. Many, like the, Menons, Warrier, Namboodris, who are in close relation with RSS may need a united India too. Whereas, the Ezhavas, Pulayars and Paraiyars don't need it.

A: It was, indeed. But do you think Rahul Gandhi is now stepping out of that mindset? In terms of removing subjects from the Centre list to the State [more federalism], etc. As a followup to his resolve of eradicating RSS (elements in Congress).

JGR: There is an existential crisis in the Congress, if Congress as a party will survive. He has an understanding that the Congress needs to make policy-based firm stands on certain issues, to ensure its survival. All these could be reasons for what he said.

As for RSS, why did RSS bring in Kejriwal (to public life)? It is the RSS that brought in Kejriwal. It is to weaken...I am telling you, according to the 'Sanatana' RSS, Congress has outlived its usefulness after setting up a united Indian state.

-> Take the last West Bengal elections, a big share of BJP's votes came from Dalit, Tribal, and Adivasi communities. This has happened in a number of states. It is just co-option. If someone from a community is made a minister, the entire community is happy. Take L. Murugan. Since he has been made a minister there is this feeling that the entire Arundathiyar community's life has been transformed. This is a tactic of the BJP/RSS. Apart from this, the RSS/BJP tries to pervade the subculture of communities with the goal of inducting them into the larger 'Sanatan' or 'Vedic' fold. They want to bring communities within the Vedic agenda and this social engineering is complete.

A: Do you think Rahul Gandhi's statement will strengthen Congress?

JGR: Definitely. Everyone undergoes changes. I feel Rahul Gandhi has also undergone such a change.

A: Do you see his statement as something mature and bold?

JGR: Correct.

In Strategic and Political Analysis, we do not see, track and comment on the third very silent force.

Various babooze who have created baboocrazy in assorted places. We had a rare video of Gadkari chiding babooze publicly on the speed with which they made a building.

In 2014, one of the reform which Modi wanted to bring was to allow private participation on some routes. Babooze put paid to that reform.

https://swarajyamag.com/business/why-in ... tition-out
As a general trend, railways are losing both cargo and passengers to road and air (passenger). Of every rupee spent on passenger movement, 43 paise is lost. Except for chair-car and 3rd AC no other classes make a profit.

According to the World Bank, with the rapid expansion of highways, the road became the lifeline of the nation carrying 60 per cent cargo and 85 per cent passengers. The volume of air passengers doubled from 82 million to 164 million between 2014 and 2018. In contrast, volume traffic (passenger-km) has been stagnant in railways since 2012.

This is a window into the mind and the intentions of the BIF.

Gives a glimpse of the game plan and how it is developing and the various socio, politico religious aspects being brought to bear, and resources of foreign sovereign govts, FFNGOs and amnesty like pointsmen often being covertly deployed using diplomatic and economically coercive media heavy forces that it is refining and weaponizing.

Brexit and the scuttling of trump's election bid are the two overt successes but we may not yet be fully aware of the covert usages and other undeclared successes of these new generation warfare arsenals comprising additionally of the insidious media, and psychological warfare weaponry.

The LTTE project was not so advanced in the utilization of such effective elements of psychological warfare, human hacking, and using socially manipulated mindware for altering cultural persuasion, and focusing deception that can be used for national intimidation and enable the much faster shifting of the Overton window(s).

pappu is not only a joke but also a catspaw, just like the party he is allegedly running and the BIF plans for the civilizational crusade and conquest run back to the decades before independence. pappu's long standing "chowkidar chor hai" playbook and the rafale narrative are ample evidence of a toolkit. There is an inculturation game plan that has run in the background ever since independence that is actively getting metamorphosed and adapting in real time to the changing stimuli.

Between the north east, TN, AP, KER, PUN, j&K, and KAR, the cancer is spreading and in other places, it is being pushed with the mindset of the crusader.

Earlier suspicions about the extraterritorial origins of the LTTE were not only bang on but also confirmation that that project is today, alive and kicking, and the primary objective of zealously spreading its politico-religious influences that would culminate in real territorial gains.

After all, the dravidian gambit was kicked off more than two centuries ago and that game plan has stayed the course and the northeast was comprehensively converted as well as ideologically implanted with separatist dogma in the scorching timeframe of a mere 70-80 years.

With current democratic setup in India I dont see the BIF getting countered effectively. Compare this with Iran and NoKo, they are isolated but still well preserved culturally. The only way these BIFs can be countered is when BJP comes to power in these states (one mentioned above). It will take a good 10-15 years. BIFs tentacles spread much faster than that.

you have no idea.

read or get someone to translate tamil twitter and dravidian facebook and it will make your hair stand on end.

The Indian constitution, as well as, two pillars of the Indian democracy has been successfully suborned, actively weaponized, and ideologically turned against the majority of the country by these forces.

Hindus are the orphans of Secularism.

Ever since Muhammad Bin Qasim set foot on Sindh, 1000 years has been a history of forced conversion of women, temples and cities.

The forced conversion of women at gun point still continues.

Instead of outrage, it is met with silence.

If there's any consolation the last decade has seen BIF and their benefactors consolidate and aggregate their forces , so this is no longer just our problem but a problem facing almost every democracy in the world. The same Soros, Omidyar, Gates foundation etc are busy toppling governments, stealing elections, kicking off riots and protests in many parts of the world now and not just in India or former Soviet Republics. One thing is for sure, the nexus of islamists-church-left-liberal-marxist-globalists' are at their most lethal in functioning democracies, in quasi democracies like Russia or Turkey or even Singapore these forces are far less powerful. And in non-democracies such as Gulf monarchies or commie-capitalist countries like China or Vietnam these guys are completely toothless.

India Proves Critics Wrong on Kashmir

Within progressive policy circles, a derangement syndrome exists toward Narendra Modi that predates his rise to India’s premiership and lies in animosity toward the Bharatiya Janata Party. Certainly, not all of their criticism toward Modi is unfair but that does not mean that every action his administration takes should be subject to automatic condemnation. The revocation of Article 370 was controversial, but it did not occur in a vacuum. While much of the world treated it with opprobrium two years ago, subsequent events show the Indian government’s move was both wise and prescient.

https://swarajyamag.com/economy/the-nex ... h-vouchers
The Next Frontier On Welfare Delivery: How E-RUPI Can Revolutionise Government Subsidies Through Vouchers
Unlike the cash transfers made to the female beneficiaries during the first three months of the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, these e-vouchers will only be valid for the services they are designated for by the government which could include healthcare, education, and an array of services in the future.

The payment for the service providers is ensured after the completion of the service, and given the e-vouchers are prepaid, the service provider does not have to wait for long for their payment.

On 13 July, the NPCI had issued the guidelines for the UPI platform, stating that e-vouchers can be issued to mobile phone holders without any app or bank account. These vouchers would be useful for one-time payments and would have an OTP authentication mechanism.

For the banks as well, these e-vouchers will aid the reduction in overhead costs, given a prepaid card with a chip costs the bank as much as Rs. 200. This also includes the cost incurred by the bank to transfer the card to the beneficiary amongst other operational expenses.

https://swarajyamag.com/ideas/e-rupi-th ... done-right
E-RUPI: The Panacea That Can Help Create A New India And Win Modi Even A Bigger Victory In 2024, If Done Right
But would one factor suffice? Surely not. The kind of mandate Modi received in 2019 was for much more. The people of India gave him a blank cheque to write his legacy in the most glorious terms, and that would only materialise if he can leave an impact on not just the present but the future of India and a whole generation of Indians.

This is where the e-RUPI platform comes in, which was launched by PM Modi on 2 August.

“The users of this seamless one-time payment mechanism will be able to redeem the voucher without a card, digital payments app or internet banking access, at the merchants accepting e-RUPI. e-RUPI would be shared with the beneficiaries for a specific purpose or activity by organisations or government via SMS or QR code", the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), which has developed this platform on the existing Unified Payments Interface (UPI) explains.

Basically, this is a national e-voucher system which can be used by both the government and the private sector to target beneficiaries for very specific purposes.

Think of any welfare benefit/help a citizen may need, and e-RUPI can be used for that. This is obvious. But there is more to it than meets the eye.

First, it will build immense trust in transactions. Think of a person who needs immediate financial help for his medical needs, and if a crowdfunding platform is collecting money to help him out, they needn’t put so much effort into verification. An e-voucher alone will ensure that the money is used for a specific need at a specific endpoint.
The scope of positive deployment is endless. The whole industry can be changed in a matter of a few years.

e-RUPI’s intervention in all the three areas — education, health and agriculture — will provide tangible benefits to tens of millions, but these will not be run-of-the-mill subsidy schemes but an investment in India’s future and will truly empower citizens like no government welfare programme has ever done.

PM Modi has his task cut out for himself.

Something is cooking!!
PK after quitting JDU ??? planning any TMC moves
He guided Didi to win WB
Was in Tripura trying to set up TMC if one goes by Banerjee's statements and efforts to snare the MLA from there
And now quitting punjab job???
Maybe thinking that infighting between Captain and the 'Turban' will further weaken Cong/Pappu ya Pappini
Didi may not be able to contest by-polls and camp in Delhi
All adds to 2024 with Didi in the forefront with PK micro managing the Kichdi
Pawarful turning the ladle, SP/RJD helping to distribute the Kichdi
Maybe he is going to concentrate on UP(meaning PK) to test the waters and if BJP stumble probably Kichdi Jazoor pakegi for 2024!!

Technical question only - how to prove that a promise was made/not made? Unless it is recorded or in text form.. and proven to be non-doctored or hacked.

Non-technical question only - how to prove that the intention was not to marry right from the beginning.. it could be that differences cropped up at a later stage (as happens in a marriage) resulting in breaking of relationship.

No, PK wants to be "the dynasty" himself. He is clocking miles and stitching alliances for a 3rd front with INC supporting from the outside, and at the right moment he will announce himself as the neutral, acceptable candidate aka 21st century Devegowda.

The blatant misuse of IPC 498a and the number of destroyed lives and families should serve as a reminder why such judgements are bad.

I think we should have a thread for PK watch….

He has come up suddenly in the last 5-7 years. Who is driving him and who funds him? How did he get his initial funding?

Manishji and Ambarji
My feelings exactly.
This judicial activism has gone too far.
Add to this all sorts becoming judges thru' the collegium system and they carry their bias to the office which I feel reflects in their judgements.
Wait for more woke/closet jihadi types to occupy the major seats in the judiciary we will have complete meltdown.
If democracy is by the people for the people yada yada, should the populace have a say in what judges they get??
so called independence of the judiciary how is that affected if the select committee ( Lok sabha/rajya sabha committee) should be the final authority to endorse the appointment after an formal meeting like the American system where every appointment has to be endorsed by a senate sub committee??

ditto questions with khujliwal.

His first few dilli election campaigns were a tad too slick and smooth to be run by anyone from India.

If there were any Indian campaign managers of that caliber, they would have surfaced a lot earlier and got many people elected.

I remember seeing some YouTube videos of new age 'feminists' and woke types SJWs running some rallies in the US demanding the right to withdraw consent, retrospectively.

As in, a female could give her consent to have a sexual encounter but then reserved the right to withdraw it later (after the act)

Agree, these are pretty contentious issues. In a society where female virginity before marriage is considered as important (by both men and women) and contraception is a recent phenomenon and not easily accessible for unmarried girls, what recourse should there be for a girl who agrees to sleep with a man who promises marriage and then reneges on that promise? What if the girl gets pregnant? The consequences can be life destroying for a girl while the man goes scot free. From a moral standpoint is it acceptable?

Court decisions apply not just to educated urban elites (which most of us are) but to all sections of the society.

Re: IPC 498a - I would see news papers reporting dowry deaths all the time in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Some even happened in my neighbourhood. For every 1 dowry death case there would be 1000s of cases of torture and maltreatment by the inlaws family which won't make it to the press. The problem was real and highly disturbing. This legislation was brought to curb this practice and attitude. Perhaps it has become less prevalent thanks to this legislation and with the socio-economic changes that have happened in the last 2-3 decades but has surely not disappeared.

I still haven't seen what the concrete objections are to what the court said.

My questions were purely from the technical POV of the correct and uniformal application of the law, on the basis of irrefutable evidence of intentional wrong doing.

In India there is a perception (maybe my own) that the law is not uniformly applied. Be it cause of enough leeway given to individual Judges or/and lack of quick and easy tools for comparing earlier similar cases (and the judgements) or maybe other factors...

Coming back to this particular matter, the judge observes that - 'a prolonged relationship gives a strong inference of consentual sex'.

So my question is has the law defined the time period for 'a prolonged relationship' - is it 1 month, 1 year, 10 years ? If it has not so far, then will it do so. Or will that be left to the arbitrary judgement of the presiding judge?

Secondly how does the prolonged relationship square up with the concept of live-in relationship. If a live-in relationship in consensual then the sexual relationship part of it would also be (irrespective of the period)?

Then there is marital rape. It is a consensual relationship by law (except when it is an illegal or forced marriage) but again it could be one day, one week, one year or 10 years old.

By assigning undefined qualifiers like time period, relationship type etc, there is a risk of muddling the core issue and increasing the already laggy litigation queue.

EDIT - Not questioning the requirement of the law. Just raising some queries about some vague undefined or contradictory 'qualifiers' which risk giving a lot of leeway for individual interpretations..

In respect of the penal provisions relating to rape, dowry or even SC ST atrocities cases, the main issue is not false cases but near automatic arrest and jail immediately after filing of the FIR. Once that is removed most of the false cases will go away as there is a no scope of harassments by false cases which are without any evidence. There can be provisions of protection of the witnesses, complainants and so on that will ensure that justice is done.

Faster trial and judgement is of course a must.

My view is from the social fabric of the society!!
At this rate (with such judgements) and the provision of automatic arrest and jail the society will be in the perpetual fear.
Imagine the impact on the psyche of the growing mind!!
two to three generations growing in fear of the courts!!
Plus if the courts start interfering in the everyday activities it would be worse than an autocratic/single party/communist/yada yada type of governance

Courts and Judges were political instruments from time immemorial. The separation of judiciary from the ruling class was brought about by British for their own purpose. It has many good aspects and has worked well.

In my view at present Judiciary is being employed as a political tool to keep the balance between opposing forces in the society, at the cost of further evolution of Indian society.

We are facing following issues:
1. Anti Majoritarian system: Being fueled by foreign funding to Politicos, BIF and unethical media. This is contrary to democratic values where proportional representation has to be valued

2. Selective Anti Minority system : Reserved for so called upper class Hindus to deny them equal opportunities via reservation schemes, and having a policy of not extending government scheme benefits to them

3. Demographic changes being brought about by : Infiltration, conversions and high breeding rate of certain communities

4. Super Slow Justice system: If hizzonors were turtle, a common litigant's great great grandson would have to attend his great great grandfather's divorce's final judgement

5. Sense of entitlement and corruption among judiciary, police and politicos

What is required a Judiciary reform to allow further evolution of country and society to tackle these issue. The million dollar question is that can it be included in the manifesto of any political party and will they do it?

Did anyone look at CJI Ramana's remarks on Pegasus pétition by N Ram & Kapil Sibbal ?

Its easy to paint anyone or anything with a broad generalisation based on selective memory. Instead of discussing the issue we get into name calling which doesnt help

Courts and fear of courts are the reason for progress and quality of life in West. If I am following the law, I have nothing to fear. If I damage someone's property,I pay. If I hit or beat somebody , I pay. If I litter public place or my my neighborhood, I pay. If have traffic violation I pay. If I cheat, I pay. If I insult someone, I pay. Parliament makes law and courts assure that law was inforced. Everything is written. There is somebody responsible. No one can escape by slapping police. Politicians are extremely polite . Public can not be fooled by free gifts. Let me give you an example. An old lady slips in rain in front of my retail out let. She was taken to Hospital. My insurance hD to pay for her treatment. Thus was because i was obliged to have an insurance for accidents in front of my outlet. Law must be followed at any cost. Because of feR of courts and heavy fine , people do not do silly thing.
Notation of living in fear of court is absurd. And i am very polite saying thus.
