PM Modi's visit will result in Transforming relationship was the words used by Israeli diplomat at Stan event. The enthusiasm about collaboration in agriculture was matching with that of in defense, high tech sector. I got the feeling that there is something ( may be Nuclear) which they need from India in high tech, security arena but can't pin point.

INS Trishul a frigate, INS Aditya a repair and replenishment ship and INS Mumbai a guided missile destroyer slipped quietly into Haifa port last Thursday to begin a goodwill visit to Israel. They had just finished anti-piracy duties off the Somali coast.

India-Israel relationship discussion on Israeli-TV. Nothing those following this thread don't know, but good for Israeli perspective.

One of the panelists, Oshrit Birvadker, may well have a Maharashtrian Jewish father or grandfather... going by the surname.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Trip to Israel Next Month:First Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel

http://www.india-aware.com/prime-minist ... it-israel/
Modi will on July 5 address the Indians in Israel who have launched a website for his trip. About 80,000 Indian Jews belonging to four different communities – Bene Israel, Cochinis, Baghdadis and Bnei Menashe, live in Israel.

India Israel relations refer to the bilateral ties between the Republic of India and the State of Israel. The two countries enjoy an extensive economic, military, and strategic relationship. India is the largest buyer of Israeli military equipment and Israel is the second largest defence supplier to India after Russia. The two countries registered bilateral trade of about USD 4.5 billion last year.

In 1999 to 2009, the military business between the two nations was worth around $9 billion. Military and strategic ties between the two nations extend to intelligence sharing on terrorist groups and joint military training.

Direct flight is sold out most of the time. Other option is to come via Istanbul...some one I know had this problem.

BTW...you have to give a quasi technical interview to the security in Mumbai explaining your job in Israel. They even go into chip level of details.

Aside from the direct thrice weekly El Al 767-200, Royal Jordanian's via Amman flight was also a popular mode however, RJ pulled out of BOM a year ago so it's now mostly El Al, TK, ET & Egyptair.

With Jet Airways new Amsterdam hub, that's another transit point for Israeli destinations.

Modi is in israel, welcoming ceremony ongoing.

Netanyahu to Modi: Prime Minister Modi, aapka swagat hai, mera dost!!! with the namaste greeting Indian style. It is clear from right here, that this visit is going to be a special one. Incredible positiveness from Premier Netanyahu.

He is speaking in English, and has already referred to Modi as "my friend" about half a dozen times.

Modi has finished his speech, also very warm and referred to Entebbe and Netanyahu's brother Yonatan who was killed there. Referred to Netanyahu as Bibi (which is his nickname).

The Israelis are clearly very pleased about all this. It's not a put on. It seems very genuine.

Watching it live on Republic, hence the updates.

Of the "friends" NM has, Netanyahu and Abe seem to be the closest. The very two countries that we need the most. Nice to hear NM speaking about Op Entebbe. I'd recommend to watch this:

No direct flight from Delhi! This should be one of the essential items on the list.
It's going to be a landmark visit in more ways than one can outwardly discern and let relations flower "full speed ahead".

^^Above is from the Pakistani article right? If you read it carefully (and you should, always, when it is from Pakistan), it becomes clear that Khamen'i said nothing of the sort today or yesterday. It was a general comment to Iran's parliament I think on highlighting the plight of Muslims oppressed in various countries. The Pak newspaper took that general comment, and linked it to a more specific comment he made a few days ago about Palestine, Kashmir and Yemen if my memory serves, and conflated both statements to wrench this latest report out of its rectum.

Pakistan's intention was to link that to Modi's trip to Israel, no doubt.

Of course, it is another matter that a few days ago Khameni did mention Kashmir along with Yemen and Palestine. The last time he did it, GoI made an official protest. I think this time we will just ignore it. When the time is right, we will slap the fellow down.

On the other hand, if there is an actual mention made again of Kashmir today/yesterday - please link it.

One thing is not going to be said by anyone on this most important trip of the prime minister Modi,s trip(some would say the most important trip of his rule as people of Jewish origin control US ). History of Jews, their suffering at the hands of the gentiles over millenia. Only one country in the world and it,s dominant people will welcome Jews without reservation as of today that country is not USA but India. In case of another catastrophe in the future Jews are making sure they have a place to go to and that place is India. They have pulled out all the stops to welcome the leader of India . There lies the true significance of this trip from the Jewish perspective but this point will not be said by anyone , you heard it here first on BRF.

WION TV has been unambiguously saying this today saar. Not to take away from your valid points, but I am just happy to see some media channels start to change the narrative about ourselves. I'll try to post a link if and when they publish it online.

If one sees the Netanyahu reception of Modi ji video right to the end, you would see Bibi introducing his cabinet to Modi and then Modi introducing his delegation to Bibi. The first person introduced from Indian side was Pigeon. And what was interesting, Netanyahu telling Doval Ji, "You had to lot to do with this(visit)". I don't know why but it gives me great pleasure to know, that a true Indian like Doval ji is working so much to build alliances for our country.
