China will likely try to build up a quasi military alliance with BD, and Pakiland to put military pressure across all of India's land borders.

Sheikh Haseena is our only hope. The current drive to enmesh BD economically and logistically in India Road and ELectrical Grid networks is the way to go.

In Bangladesh, however, the state has voluntarily ceded the service-provision monopoly to the nongovernmental sector. BRAC and a number of other now-famous NGOs have played a major role in providing health care, schools, and financial services, and in leading public-health campaigns to deliver oral rehydration therapy and immunization. Despite the NGO sector’s outsize presence, Bangladeshi leaders have not perceived its activities as a usurpation of the state’s authority.

As such, Bangladesh offers a fascinating study in political economy. Normally, democratic states aim to ensure popular support by providing the services that citizens need. Most are loath to cede that function lest they lose power and legitimacy (not to mention opportunities for rent-seeking and corruption). The more effective that non-state actors become in delivering services, the more threatened most states feel. But Bangladesh has escaped this dynamic.

A partial explanation is that Bangladesh was so poor and lacking in state capacity in its early years that public service delivery suffered, creating a vacuum for other actors to fill. Those who seized the opportunity then enjoyed access to vast inflows of foreign aid, which averaged (in net terms) 5% of GDP for 25 years until the turn of the century.

But deeper factors could also be at play. Given that Bangladesh has a relatively low tax-to-GDP ratio of less than 10%, one can infer that the state implicitly chose to cede its monopoly on service provision to avoid exercising the politically costlier monopoly of taxation.
BRAC is the largest non-governmental development organisation in the world, in terms of number of employees as of September 2016.

Established by Sir Fazle Hasan Abed in 1972 after the independence of Bangladesh, BRAC is present in all 64 districts of Bangladesh as well as 11 other countries in Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

He was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (KCMG) in the 2010 New Year Honours for services in tackling poverty and empowering the poor in Bangladesh and globally.
https://www.3blmedia.com/News/BRAC-Larg ... Its-Secret
BRAC is one of the extraordinary organizations that is funded by the Omidyar Network (ON) [/quote]
https://www.theguardian.com/society/200 ... bangladesh
n the chaotic heart of downtown Dhaka, the 19-story Brac building - home toone of the world's largest NGOs, the Bangladesh Rehabilitation Assistance Committee, an organisation so powerful that it is commonly termed Bangladesh's second government - casts a shadow over one of the city's largest slums. From the top floor, the slum looks like a ramshackle maze of corrugated iron and tarpaulin. But a short boat ride across the river reveals a neighbourhood of neat interlocking streets dotted with open shopfronts, selling everything from firewood to hot cakes, and with centres providing health and education programmes to its 300,000 inhabitants.

Most of the small enterprises here have been funded by Brac micro-finance loans. The slum's school is run by Brac-trained teachers using Brac textbooks. More than 200 Brac-trained health volunteers dispense medical services. Down the road is the Brac University, and a Brac bank sign is just visible across the street.
"Brac is an incredibly effective organisation, but it is at the stage where it is basically unchallenged," says Khushi Kabir, one of Brac's first employees and now the head of Nijera Kori, an anti-poverty NGO. "Government dependency on its services has grown to the extent that they almost can't run the country without it."

the cheeni hooks are already in.

It's only a matter of time before the economic clasp grows fonder and tighter.

The cheeni have settled in very close to the chicken neck region on the beedi side of the border and that is the land that they are greedily eyeing.

Embezzlement charges: China withdraws from financing three infra projects in Bangladesh.
These three projects were approved on a Government-to-Government (GTG) basis. China itself employs Chinese contractors and there was no opportunity to hire contractors for the projects through international tenders. Moreover, these companies increase the amount of expenditure by repeatedly extending the duration of the project on various pretexts, according to Dhaka-based sources. But the Chinese manipulations were revealed and the Bangladesh PMO also conducted a probe.

Can I ask a question:
Bangaldeshi infiltrators : are bulk of them Bengali speaking and settling in Bengal and NorthWest regions??
What about the Jinnoh's leftovers meaning the Urdu speaking left overs?? ask they speak Urdu and features resemble Bihar/UP so they can easily mingle all over India
Are there any data regarding this??

The "Bihari Bangladeshi Muslims" are infiltrating in India in large numbers. Their preferred infiltration are is south and north Dinajpur districts (look at the West Bengal map), and they straight head for Bihar's Katihar, Kishenganj, Purnia districts. The second preferred destination is Kolkata's ghetto area near the port - Mominpur, Khiddirpore, Baj baj areas where it's a no go area for the police personnel.

Lately there has been a dangerous trend. In Diamond Harbor area (the seat of the good for nothing 'nephew') illegal Bangladeshis have set up colonies where giant-size african muslim preachers, probably from north Nigeria) are making rounds. It has caught the attention of local populace.

What has happened to Brites? No discussion on Violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. it is clear that BD opposition is following incitements from developments in Afganistan.
Pakis are responsible for (directly or indirectly)

Sadly, this is only until she gets her way on what she is demanding, a foolish IWT like settlement on the river waters flowing from India.

with that in her kitty and a few other things that she wants, her true ummah colors will start to shine brightly.

Her sell-by date is fast approaching as she is quite old and after her departure, it will be "après nous, le déluge"

the beedi army has already demonstrated its virtuosity with the gun as applied to matters of "democracy", just like their pakjabi cousins

the beedis, abdools and ayeshas included, are very hostile to India.

they are dark skinned carbon copies of their incestuous paki cousins, the very same cancerous ummah mentality, as seen very recently when they attacked and killed the Hindus and destroyed many temples all over beediland

These piddly little buggers see India as their legitimate lebensraum, as per the demented ravings of many of their so called "intellectuals"

From the link
Advocate Gobinda Chandra posted on Twitter “Muslims have demolished 9 Durga mandapas and idols in Comilla, Bangladesh. Hundreds of radical Muslims attacked this morning. The attack is still going on.”
Comilla is in Chittagong district and just about 56 km from Agartala. A district that ideally should have been part of India.

X-post from cigetartS thread:
Yahoo news is reporting (not going to give a link) that the violence against Hindus in BDesh is because the Hindus deliberately placed a copy of the K book at the feet of their idol. Basically blame the Hindus for the whole thing. I'm amazed at how ingenious these people are, at justifying violence and equating victim with aggressor.

Indira Gandhi had the option of solving a couple of problems back in '71 - '72. I'm actually glad she didn't try to solve them, because her "solution" would have probably involved giving Agartala to BD.

The revelation is part of the Al Jazeera investigation All the Prime Minister’s Men, which exposes the close relationship between a powerful Bangladeshi crime family, which the country’s head of the army belongs to, and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The investigation reveals that a key figure in the procurement of military equipment is Haris Ahmed, a convicted criminal and brother of the head of the Bangladesh army, Aziz Ahmed. Haris, who has now returned to Bangladesh, resettled in Hungary in 2015 using a fake passport when he was under an Interpol red notice and wanted in Bangladesh for a murder committed in 1996

You just like typing anything that comes in your mind? Or do you stop to think before you hit your keyboard? What is the connection between the items you state and Indian diplomacy or the LOC?

India needs to clearly state for the benefit of the Muslim nations that the reality is persecution of Hindus in their countries. I’d we don’t tell our side of the story, how will they know of it?

Mayapur is in WB and Sylet is in BD but under Mamta-TMC I guess WB is also like BD.

Actually I think with respect to India what the World and Left(INC, CPI-CPI(M), DMK, TMC, SAD and supporting media) mean by Secularism is a Post Hindu India where Hindus are seen as Sub Humans like how the Germans (Nazis) saw the Soviets and Jews during WW2 and do not believe Hindus have a right to exist. That is why in their worldview crimes against Hindus are hidden away.

Because

1) We lack ideological clarity on who we are: a Hindu/Dharmic civilizational state
2) We are unwilling to name the enemy, i.e. Islam

we have 2 bit neighbors killing our own and we can at best gripe on social media & BRF.

CAA tried to address both (1) and (2), but we lacked the conviction to explain "why CAA?" and follow-through with it in all our might. At the 1st sign of resistance from the liberal-jihadi-black-nightie nexus, we capitulated.

Ideally CAA should've been followed by NRC, deportations & interventions (armed, covert etc) in countries where Hindus aren't safe.

Our goal should be to make the world safe for Dharma. All actions should emanate from that core belief.

Dhaka [Bangladesh], October 18 (ANI): As communal violence escalates in Bangladesh, a group of people attacked houses of the Hindu community at a village in Rangpur's Pirganj Upazila over a post on social media that allegedly dishonoured religion.
So earlier it was Comilla and now in Rangpur, Hindus getting targetted. Looks co-ordinated using rumours as excuse.
Srinagar 1990 redux planned looks like.
Stage being set to shake Hasina (no pun intended) from the pedestal. Larger plan being to open a third front from east just in time before 2024.
Just like Sardar Patel correctly identified an independant Hyderabad state as undigested lump in India's belly, an independant Bangladesh should be seen as Maggots infesting India's Armpits.

In the near term, I would recommend annexing Rangpur to eliminate chicken neck problem.

Bangladesh drifting into communal anarchy
The combine of radical Islamist organisations along with the BNP/JeI and certain external forces would want to see a change in the present government and return to a more conservative political set-up that would cater enough space for the radicals in terms of governance.
IANS | Dhaka/New Delhi | October 18, 2021

Bangladesh has traditionally had a highly sensitive politico-religious fabric, where any developments within the country or in the Islamic world has had implications on the politics and religious contours of the Bangladeshi society.
The balance between those influenced by radical Islamic ideology and those from liberal democratic background in Bangladesh is a very fine line, which often gets blurred at a mere flash of an incident hinging on religious differences.
The latest incident of attacks by radical Muslim groups on various Durga puja sites in Bangladesh, starting from Comilla on October 13 and thereafter spreading to other areas, was a clear indication of rejuvenated radical sentiments taking over the conservative sections of the society.
One witnessed such strong radical Islamic sentiments in Bangladesh soon after the takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban. The fact that a picture showing a copy of the Quran placed with the idols at one of the Durga Puja sites in Comilla could lead radical elements go on a rampage across the country portends serious dangers for the Bangladeshi society.
Significantly, even though the attacks appeared an abrupt reaction to the developments, the manner in which they were carried out indicated a well-planned strategy by the perpetrators, who were mostly students and teachers of madrasas from across the country. The ‘criminals’ coordinated their activities at different locations, including Chandpur, Feni, Noakhali, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet.
In the eastern districts of Bangladesh, which happen to be the stronghold of Hefazat-e-Islam (HeI), concentrated attacks were witnessed in an organised manner, thereby indicative of a role by the HeI. The HeI has been under pressure from the government due to detention of several of its leaders and has been waiting on the sidelines looking for an opportunity to undertake such an action.

Police: Comilla resident Iqbal placed the Quran on a Puja idol
A man named Iqbal Hossain, 35, son of Nur Ahmed Alam from Sujanagar area of the city, had kept the Holy Quran at Nanua Dighir Par puja mandap in Comilla on October 13.
In the CCTV footage, it was seen that Iqbal took the Quran from a mosque and walked to the Puja venue. He was later seen walking away with the Hindu God Hanuman’s club in his hand.
Police arrested another person Md Foyez Ahmed, 41, on October 13 and got him on remand to quiz him. He posted a Facebook live from the Puja venue on that day that went viral.
Based on allegations of defamation of the Holy Quran at a puja mandap, violence broke out at several districts in Bangladesh during the Durga Puja celebrations last week.
At least seven people were killed over the incident in different parts of the country. Police arrested over 450 people and filed 72 cases till now over the communal violence.
Hundreds of Hindus lost their homes, businesses while many temples and puja venues were vandalized following the Comilla incident.

Four Including An Imam Arrested In Bangladesh For Vandalising Hindu Temple
According to the police, the arrested persons — Mamunur Rashid, 22, two teenagers aged 15 and 16 and Kafil Uddin, a 50-year-old village doctor — admitted to their crimes on Saturday.
The miscreants entered the temple, vandalised five idols and fled.
At least four persons have been killed and 70 others injured in the incidents of violence including attacks on Hindu temples across the country in the last three days.
The radical attackers vandalised, torched, and looted more than 70 puja venues, 30 homes, and 50 shops of the minorities, according to Rana Dasgupta, General Secretary of Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council (BHBCUC).
About time the minorities in Bangladesh asked for a separate state.

CAA rules have yet to be notified, last I heard, so this will feel like unobtanium but hey, hope springs eternal only.

CAA must extend to all non-muslim Bangladeshi nationals, pronto, period. Any BD Hindu or Buddhist can apply for refugee status in India via some online form. These hapless folks must know that if they run towards India seeking shelter, they will NOT be turned away. Only.

^^ Better to extend CAA only to those whose grandparents were born Hindus. Otherwise, a million BD Muslims will convert to Hinduism overnight in sham conversion, and migrate to India as a strategy. There is a very strong urge in Muslims for Hijrah (strategic migration of Muslims to infiltrate non-Islamic lands to plant the flag of Islam). This migration is slyly encouraged by Muslims countries who keep deflecting Muslim refugees to Western countries for settlement. This strategic migration you can currently see happening in Uttarakhand where Muslims from UP are making a beeline to the hill state, buying land from Middle Eastern money and building mosques.
