I think the Malegoan blasts and the Mumbai attack are converging by a series of interviews in Times Now. Will cross post some of the tweets.

This is very BIG! Lt Colonel Purohit coming out innocent from this case will drive the final nail in Congress's coffin. I've a very strong feeling that Chidambram is going to get squeezed between the money laundering and this case. He's going to jail or will sing like 'performers' in the famous Heera Mandi of La-Whore.

Do watch this.

A lot of folks say what is the big deal we knew all along that it was a setup.

They are wrong its not about just setting up Lt. Col Purohit but the debasement of the entire ruling systems by motivated coterie of individuals.

Lt. Col Purohit case is India's Drefyuss case where an Army officer is made a criminal for serving an agenda.

The entire system connived in this criminality: Indian Army top brass, Ministry of Defence Officials, Home Ministry, NSA MK Neroynan and SS Menon, politicians like Chidamabaram, and Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi and not to forget the judiciary which still holds Purhit in jail despite many please by NIA that they have no evidence. And the press like Shekhar Gupta and his ilk.

While whining about coups, Congress subverted and launched a coup on the Indian Army with will stool pigeon Generals who were busy in Adharsh Scam type of crimes.

I want an Inquiry Commission to unravel what happened and let the facts come out.
Its not just about setting Lt Col Purohit free.
Its about India and the failure of the Constitution to protect individuals when all connive to defame Hindus.

This can happen to any other religion too.
So need to find out what happened and fix it.

X-Posting something that triggerd my mind...

Since that fateful day at Sharm-el-Sheik, a decade back, when our normally taciturn PM suddenly found at a wrong time that he could in fact speak and said what he should not have said, Pakistan has been on a mission to paint India with the same brush that the rest of the world paints it with, terrorism-sponsor.

Ehsanullah Ehsan, the nom-de-guerre for all 'bad Taliban' spokesperson, is expected to mouth what the ISI has tutored him. In fact, it most probably is not any 'Ehsanullah Ehsan' at all; may be some Pashtun or even a fictitious character. Do we remember that the ISI engineered to send some inmate of a prison as a Taliban representative for talks with the Kabul Government? The US Marines even securely transported this cheat to Kabul from Peshawar and back !! Another such impersonator, once again sent by the ISI, assassinated Burhanuddin Rabbani, the Chairman of the High Peace Council.

Soon, China would say that Masood Azhar cannot be singled out for terrorism because both India and the US are at each other. This would be the logical progress in China's stance against India in the UNSC 1267 Committee. The dossiers are all being built up.

I think MMS is part of the "Saffron Terror" conspiracy. This articulation at Sharm-el-sheikh was to give cover to the plan being prepared by Congress to create the "saffron Terror' bogey to put away Hindus.

It just doesn't make sense for MMS to make this claim without any regard to the truth.
And SSM of the 'drafting error' fame was brought in as NSA after MKN was shifted out as he is part of the deep cover story.

I am sure that MMS was a puppet in the hands of His Master and other loyalists were drafted in by INC such as PC, Sushilkumar Shinde, Diggy Raja, Jyanthi Natarajan et al. I believe that the plot goes beyond our borders and INC was (and continues to be) a willing accomplice. Because the Mumbai terror attack happened during the INC regime, no 'inconvenient questions' were asked; otherwise, there would have been all sorts of wild allegations implicating the government itself in the terror act or even 'justifying' cross border urban warfare because of right-wing Hindutva etc.

Pakistan rejects India's demand for re-investigating 26/11 case - PTI
Pakistan has told India that a re-investigation of the Mumbai attack case was "not possible" as the trial was at an advanced stage and , the mastermind of 26/11 assault.

In reply to India's demand to re-investigate the 2008 case and put on trial Jamaat-ud Dawah chief Saeed, "Pakistan said the case has already been at an advanced stage," a senior interior ministry official, who is privy to the correspondence between the two countries over the matter, told PTI on Thursday.

"All proceedings (in the case) have been finalised except recording of 24 Indian witnesses' statements. At this stage, re-investigation is not possible. If India wants conclusion of the case, it should send its witnesses to Pakistan to record their statements," the official said.

Saeed, who carries a bounty of USD 10 million on his head for his role in terror activities announced by the US, and his four aides are under house arrest in Lahore since January 30 under Pakistan's anti-terrorism law.

The JUD chief was put under house arrest previously after the terror attack in Mumbai in which 166 people were killed by 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba men, but he was freed by a court in 2009 due to a lack of evidence against him.

On putting him on trial in that case, Pakistan has sought "concrete" evidence from India.

"India had only mentioned in its dossier that Ajmal Kasab (the lone gunman captured alive) had once met Hafiz Saeed. Thousands of people meet him (Saeed). That doesn't prove anything. Pakistan is willing to try Saeed in the 26/11 case provided India gives us solid evidence against him in this regard," the official quoted Pakistan government's response.

He said Pakistan has also made it clear to India that the Mumbai attack case may not reach its logical conclusion without India's cooperation. "India must send its 24 witnesses to Pakistan to testify in the case for its conclusion," he said.

The trial in the Mumbai attack case has been pending for the past seven years. India has urged Pakistan to complete the trial at the earliest. It has said that enough evidence has been shared with Pakistan to prosecute the accused.

But no proceeding in the case has been held on Wednesdays, the day fixed for hearing in the case, recently at the Adiala Jail Rawalpindi by an anti-terrorism court.

The trial court has already completed recording of the statements of all witnesses here and their cross examination and other relevant record has also been presented before it.

Another mastermind of the attack, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, and Abdul Wajid, Mazhar Iqbal, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Shahid Jameel Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Younis Anjum face charges of abetment to murder, attempted murder, planning and executing the attack.

Lakhvi was freed two years ago after he secured bail in the case. He lives at an undisclosed location since then.

The other six suspects are in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi.

Of the 10 LeT men who unleashed terror in Mumbai on November 26 in 2008, only Kasab was captured alive and later executed after a court found him guilty and handed down the death sentence.

India to snub Pakistan court on examining 26/11 attack witnesses - ToI
Following incessant delays owing mostly to the lackadaisical manner in which Islamabad handled it, the ongoing Mumbai attacks trial in Pakistan seems to have reached a dead end.

The Pakistani court seems to have decided that progress can't be made in the trial until the 24 Indian witnesses in the case are examined by Pakistani authorities.

India, however, is unlikely to agree to send the witnesses to Pakistan as it is not convinced Islamabad is serious about taking the trial to its logical conclusion.

In its joint statement with the EU on terrorism last week, the government reiterated that the accused in the attacks, commonly known as 26/11, be brought to justice soon.

"Hafiz Saeed was one of the masterminds of 26/11 and look how he continues to flourish under state patronage despite the evidence provided to Pakistan about his involvement," an Indian official said.

While India could consider examining of the witnesses through video conferencing, no such proposal has yet been made by Pakistan.

The Pakistani court conducting the trial of the seven suspects, including LeT commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, late last month ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to appoint a "focal person" to press for getting the Indian witnesses to Pakistan to record their statements in the case.

Apart from Lakhvi, Abdul Wajid, Mazhar Iqbal, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Shahid Jameel Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Younis Anjum have been facing charges of abetment to murder, attempted murder, planning and executing the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

The court took the decision to press for examination of Indian witnesses after the prosecution claimed that this was necessary to conclude the trial.

India, however, has repeatedly said that all evidence against the accused has already been provided and that it is enough to bring to justice the perpetrators of one of the worst terror attacks on Indian soil.

One reason why India is not convinced about Pakistan's intentions is Islamabad's refusal to put Saeed on trial. Pakistan continues to claim that there's not enough evidence against him.

The trial has dragged for over eight years also because of repeated transfer of judges hearing the case. As many as nine judges have heard the case in the past eight years.

A court official was recently quoted as having said that the FIA's focal person will ask Pakistan's foreign and interior ministries to take up the matter with the Indian government to send the Indian witnesses here.

"It appear to be a last effort to bring the Indian witnesses here. Otherwise, like the defence, the prosecution will also request the court to announce the verdict without the statements of Indian witnesses," the official said.

Some of the Las Vegas cops had visited Mumbai to understand the complexities of handling Urban terror

Police officers describe storming the Gunman's Hotel room

"I think they prevented a thousand deaths, and I think it's important for the American public to understand that," Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told CBS' "60 Minutes" on Sunday.

Lombardo had traveled to Mumbai, India, after the November 2008 terrorist attacks on hotels and other sites that left 164 people dead. The sheriff gleaned insight from the trip, he said, and the department now reacts more quickly to such shootings, forming a team to "cease the action'' of the assailant.

"Before we were trained to form a perimeter and hope for the best," Lombardo said. "Now we're trained to gather up and go get it."

The part in red was also stated by a counter terrorism expert that they realized SWAT teams are nice but its the first responders who need to reduce and eliminate the threat.

It seems SWAT teams were created after the Kansas Uty shooting in 1969(?).
Later after Columbine the police realized that first responders need heavy guns to eliminate the threats. But this lesson was reinforced in 26/11 Mumbai attack.

Recall in Pathankot the ATS arrived minus the guns.
In 26/11 the NSG had many delays in arriving in Mumbai.

Compare to Haryana where the police responded to the Dera SS riots and quickly shot the perpetrators.

Hafiz Saeed will be released if evidence not submitted, Lahore court warns Pakistan government - PTI
LAHORE: Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed's house arrest will be set aside if the Pakistan government does not submit evidence against him, a top court here has warned.

Saeed, the Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief, is under house arrest since January 31.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday heard a plea against his detention. The interior secretary was supposed to appear before the court along with complete record of the case related to his detention along with four others.

Irked by the absence of the interior secretary during the proceedings, the LHC observed that "no citizen can be detained for an extended period on the basis of merely press clippings".

"The conduct of the government shows it has no substantial evidence against the petitioners. The detention of the petitioners will be set aside if no concrete evidence is presented before the court," Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi said.

Another official of the interior ministry accompanied by a deputy attorney general told the court that the secretary could not attend the proceedings due to unavoidable official responsibilities in Islamabad. The law officer sought time to file a reply to the petition.

Justice Naqvi regretted that an army of officers was assigned to protect one government personality but not a single officer was available to assist the court.

Lamenting repeated requests for adjournment, the judge said the law officers wanted courts to stop working. The judge adjourned hearing till October 13.

Saeed's advocate AK Dogar argued that the government detained the JuD leaders on the basis of apprehensions and hearsay. He said under the law no presumption and assumption could give rise to any apprehension unless it was supported by evidence.

Punjab government had already told the court that activities of JuD leaders, if released, would pose great threat to public safety and can cause breach of public order.

Saeed and his four aides - Abdullah Ubaid, Malik Zafar Iqbal, Abdul Rehman Abid and Qazi Kashif Hussain - have been placed under house arrest in Lahore under the anti-terrorism act.

On September 25, the house arrest of Saeed and others was extended for another 30 days by the Punjab government.

The JuD has been declared as a foreign terrorist organisation by the United States in June 2014.

The US has announced a $10 million bounty on Saeed's head for his role in terror activities.

I think he should be released taken on prior publicized tour of the LOC, his arrest is more for protection than prosecution.
