The Curious Case of Daood Gilani alias David Headley & co

Postby Prem » 07 Nov 2009 04:40

At least two persons have been arrested in Pakistan on FBI advice, Indian Home Minister P Chidambaram said on Friday, indicating an “obvious Pakistan link” to David Coleman Headley, nabbed by the American agency for plotting a major attack in India at terror group LeT’s behest. “There is a Pakistan link. Dave Headley visited Pakistan a number of times and I think on the advice of the FBI, two or perhaps more people have been arrested in Pakistan,” he told reporters here. He was replying to a question if there was any input on Pakistan link to the plot to attack the prestigious National Defence College in New Delhi in which FBI has arrested Headley and Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Pakistan-born Canadian citizen and a resident of Chicago. “There is an obvious Pakistan link,” he said, referring to the affidavits filed by the FBI in a Chicago court

Headley ran visa agency in Tardeo before 26/11
New Delhi: The two terror suspects arrested in the US for plotting to strike targets in Denmark and India spent significant time in Mumbai before the 26/11 attacks, authoritative sources have told DNA. While one of them operated a visa agency in Mumbai for almost two years until the latter part of 2008, the other suspect spent 10 days in the city just days before the terror strike last November.

This is a very important story. Let us follow it as it develops. Interesting that one of the likely perps of 26/11 is based in the US. Hopefully Amreekis will allow interrogation by IB.

According to the FBI chargesheet, Rashid (Pakistan's consul general in Chicago) and the two accused went to the same military school in a town called Hasan Abdal, 40 km northwest of Rawalpindi in northern Punjab. Rashid is said to have known Headley by his other name, Daood Gilani [...].

The US agency has found that Rashid, Headley and Rana were all Abdalians, as former students of the Cadet College Hasan Abdal school describe themselves. The FBI told the court that postings to a Yahoo group of graduates of the military school suggested that both Headley and Rana were members of the group. They had referred to their attendance in the school.

The FBI said that Rana was in touch with Rashid for arranging Pakistan visa for Headley to facilitate his visit to NWFP where he was scheduled to meet LeT leaders. "On or about September 25, 2009, Rana spoke by telephone with the consul general at the Pakistani consulate in Chicago in an effort to obtain a five-year visa for Headley to travel to Pakistan. It is clear from the email traffic unrelated to terrorist plotting that the consul general knows Rana and Headley personally as all three attended the same high school,'' the FBI stated in its chargesheet filed in a Chicago court.

According to an agency report, the transcripts of phone conversations and emails in FBI's possession showed that LeT was planning to use Headley for attack on an Indian actor named Rahul. Headley is said to have told the FBI that he intended to travel to Pakistan in early October to meet with an unidentified LeT individual and another man named (Ilyas) Kashmiri, an LeT terrorist who was earlier with Pakistan's Special Services Group.

In seeking a visa for Headley, Rana apparently told Rashid that he wished to obtain the visa for a white American named Headley who did not have any Pakistani background at all. "When the consul general suggested that Rana send his friend to the consulate, Rana explained that he had sent his friend elsewhere to take care of some unspecified business so that someone else would visit the consulate. It is clear from the conversation that Rana was attempting to deceive the consul general into granting a visa for Headley without the consul general knowing for whom the visa would be issued,'' the FBI told the court.

Rana told the FBI that he was aware that Headley had been affiliated with LeT, he had received training from them and he had met Kashmiri, leader of Harkat-ul-Jihad-Islami. Rana also said that he was aware that Headley communicated with two LeT Individuals.

One can imagine a US citizen with a name like Headley would not face any trouble going in and out of India. It would be interesting to find out how this Daoud Gilani alias Headley managed to get US Citizenship.

It depends on the procedures in place. Passports have a field for "Place of Birth" and if it is lacking, the consulate can ask for a birth certificate to filter out risky types or refer them to law enforcement for surveillance on their trip. In any case, people born in Pakistan should be treated as Pakistani citizens for all immigration purposes regardless of the papers they hold now.

What's the deal? Just to keep up the denial mode?

Indian intelligence team returns without questioning US LeT man
PTI 10 November 2009, 11:32am IST
WASHINGTON: A team of Indian intelligence officials left the US disappointed after a week-long stay here as they could not question American national David Coleman Headley, arrested by the FBI on charges of plotting a major terror attack in India at the behest of Pakistan-based LeT.

Sources familiar with the visit of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officials termed "bureaucratic" and "procedural" hurdles as the main reason for them not being successful in interrogation of Headley, who is now lodged in a Chicago jail.

49-year-old Headley, according to the FBI chargesheet, was being used by the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) to target among others the National Defence College in New Delhi, the Doon school in Dehradun and Woodstock school in Mussoorie.

The Indian team, names of its members have not been revealed to the media so far, arrived in Washington on November 1 and was scheduled to grill Headley the next day.

However, the Indian team is believed to have spent most of their time in Washington and they could not make their planned trip to Chicago - where Headley and his co-conspirator Tahawwur Hussain Rana are lodged in a jail - to interrogate the duo, both Chicago-residents.

Terrorists may infiltrate West Coast, warns Govt

CNN-IBN

New Delhi: The Central Government issued a terror alert on Wednesday. The Home Ministry has warned that over 100 terrorists may infiltrate the West Coast in the coming days, sources told CNN-IBN.

The advisories have gone to Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Agra. It is believed that the advisories were issued following inputs from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The FBI conveyed the information after its interrogation of David Coleman Headley, an American held in the US for allegedly planning terror attacks in India.

Headley is believed to have had links with the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT).

Home Minister P Chidambaram said that the Government will look into the possible connection between Headley and the terror attacks in Mumbai that claimed about 170 lives.

Chidambaram, however, could not say if there was any link between Headley and the 26/11 attacks.

"Headley visited India several times before 26/11 and, therefore, there's something we have to necessarily look into," said the Home Minister.

"But as of now, I can't say if there was a link or not,” he added.

Headley was arrested at Chicago airport on charges of plotting a major terror attack in India at the behest of LeT.

Information provided earlier by the FBI had revealed that Headley operated a visa agency in Mumbai for almost two years until July 2008 and had travelled to India on business visas nine times between 2006 and 2009.

The prime accused, Daood Gilani aka David Headley, was in touch with Ilyas Kashmiri, a former Pakistan Army commando of Pakistan’s elite Special Services Group. Kashmiri was used by the ISI in the 1980s for training the Afghan mujahideen and in the 1990s for terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir. He escaped after being captured by Indian forces in Poonch in 1994. Interestingly, while Kashmiri was later charged with an attempt to assassinate Gen Pervez Musharraf and for the assassination of a former commander of the SSG, Maj Gen Faisal Alvi in 2008, he was allowed to get away and seek refuge in North Waziristan alongside Afghan Taliban military commander Sirajuddin Haqqani, who Gen Kayani reportedly regards as a ‘strategic asset’ of the ISI.

US covering for ISI links of Headley-Rana

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/worl ... 217328.cms

There is also suspicion in the intelligence analysts' community that Washington is trying to protect its lines of cooperation with Islamabad at the expense of India, in the process obfuscating Pakistan's complicity in terrorism. In the FBI affidavit, US investigators have named Ilyas Kashmiri, one of the Pakistani contacts of the accused Headley and Rana, but left two other contacts unnamed, describing them merely as LeT Member A and Individual A. Suspicion in spook circles is Individual A belongs to the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and the US is trying not to embarrass Pakistan, whose cooperation it needs to carry forward its war on al-Qaida, Taliban and allied extremists.

Headley/Gilani is being tried in the civilian justice system. There is no way an Indian agency was going to be able to interview Gilani.
Heck, even the FBI can't question him without his lawyer present.

Never question its just exchanging views...

But in any case trusting Amrikhans to share information to implicate TS Pakistan is out right dumb and stupid for Indian babus even if they think India is strategic partner of Unkil.

Heck we still dont have answers for the grenedes used in 1993 Mubai Stock exchange bombing.....

just what world are Indians living....

Yes Amrikhans at most share a vague threat of bombing India being planned by Let or one such..
but never ever give access to real info that helps TSP to be in the dock...

Stupid we are since eons and will be so...

Yes the annual Shradha Karma for Mumbai Massacre is just two weeks away.... get ready for Go daan, Bo daan to illegal Bedeshis...

Intel agencies identify mysterious Rahul

The mysterious man mentioned by Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) operative David Coleman Headley by the code name ‘Rahul’ has been identified by the law enforcement agencies. He has been questioned by the intelligence agencies for the alleged link between him and Headley. Rahul is a regular man who Headley met during his stay in Mumbai in the gymnasium that he used to go to.

Doesn't seem likely. Maybe they are trying to protect somebody. Why should casual acqaintances be mentioned in emails sent from US to Pakiland? Also, initial reports mentioned Rahul was an actor.

Daoud Gilani aka David Headley has the potential to unravel the US safe haven for ISI terrorists. What I think is a number of them were parked in massaland for use as needed.

50 Teams hot on Headley chase

BTW, James Hadley Chase was a mystery writer popular in the 70s!

...

David Coleman Headley — the suspected Lashkar operative in the United States — travelled India nine times during 2006 to 2009, visiting different cities in the country including Delhi, Ahmedabad and Lucknow.

Headley’s last visit to India — ostensibly to set up a visa facilitation agency — was in April 2009.

Indian intelligence agencies ....have been able to establish the places where he stayed in the country.

“As of now, the (security) agencies are going through the CCTV footage at hotels where he stayed, where the data is available to see if we can identify the people he met,” a senior government official said on Tuesday.

Nearly 40 to 50 teams of investigators of intelligence agencies — intelligence bureau and special branches of the state police concerned — are currently trying to track back every movement made by Headley alias Dawood Gilani during his visits.

As part of this exercise, investigators have established the hotels where he stayed. “In some places, he did stay in private houses, possibly friends or relatives of people he knew in the United States,” a government official familiar with the investigations said.

So far, investigators have only come across Indians — businessmen, casual acquaintances or otherwise — who knew him as an American in India to set up business. “We have found people of this kind who met him here,” he said.

With his western name, Headley — who had converted to Christianity — had succeeded in obtaining a long-term business visa. “For all we know, he could have even addressed meetings of business lobbies too,” the official said, suggesting that his US passport and western name would have ensured that he did not face scrutiny in India.

A home ministry official said investigators would also look at the possibility of Headley facilitating US visas for Students Islamic Movement of India activists in the country who could become part of Lashkar-e-Tayyeba’s sleeper cell network in the US. :!:

.............................................

The first joint team of the Intelligence Bureau and the Research and Analysis Wing, that spent a week in the US, has returned with some answers. “Since the Indian team could not have interrogated him directly, the team did seek the FBI’s cooperation and handed over some questions to which India wanted the answers,” the officials said.

The FBI had put the questions to Headley and his associate, Tahawwur Hussain Rana and communicated the responses to the visiting Indian team.

Looks like its a major issue. So ISI deployed its recruiting to US to take advantage of less scrutiny.

Information provided by the FBI has revealed that Headley operated a visa agency in Mumbai for almost two years until July 2008 and had travelled to India on business visas nine times between 2006 and 2009.

Intelligence shared by the FBI following the interrogation of Headley revealed that two of India's most prestigious boarding schools - Doon in Dehradun and Woodstock in Mussoorie - and the National Defence College in New Delhi were supposed targets of the LeT.

Shades of Beslan. Wonder if Beslan was planned by TSP's ISI too.

Someone was demanding proof of the Beslan analogy.

Centre to pree the US for Headley's extradition
Senior officials in the Home Ministry claimed that Indian investigators had evidence to show that U.S. national David Headley had links with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and the HuJI, both Pakistan-based terror groups.

They said the government would produce the documents before the U.S. court in January next and press for the extradition of Headley and his accomplice, Tahawwur Hussain Rana, to India.

The National Investigation Agency booked both Headley and Rana, a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin having wide business interests, under Sections 120-B, 121-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). . . . also invoked relevant provisions of the SAARC Convention on Suppressing Terrorism, 1993.

Headley's arrest preempted strikes on India - Praveen Swami
Excerpts
Lashkar-e-Taiba commanders were at an advanced stage of preparation for strikes in India when their plans were pre-empted by the arrests of two key operatives in Bangladesh and the United States, government sources told The Hindu.

Lashkar commanders in Pakistan are thought to have planned anassault on the National Defence College here — or, in the alternative, take hostages at the élite Woodstock and Doon schools.

The physical execution of the attack, the sources said, was assigned to Lahore-based Sheikh Abdul Rehman Saeed, the long-standing commander of the Lashkar networks in Bangladesh that have often been used as staging posts for strikes inside India.

Saeed is believed to have been in close contact with Sajid Mir, the Lashkar’s overall commander for transcontinental operations —and Headley’s controller.

Detectives begin work on mapping Headley's network - Praveen Swami
Excerpts
A growing number of experts in India’s intelligence community believe that Pakistan-born Headley, or his associate Tahawwur Rana, may have generated similar footage from Mumbai and other cities. It may have facilitated the training of the fidayeen who carried out last November’s tragic attacks in Mumbai — and strikes yet to come.

The NIA will be working to locate Headley’s Lashkar contacts in India — a task that will require weeks of painstaking work.

NIA detectives, who have now been assigned charge of the Headley investigation in India, will be focussing on two core issues: his possible role in harvesting footage in Mumbai to assist in the November 26, 2008 Lashkar attack, and the activities of the immigration consultancy he set up in the city.

Based on their initial assessment, though, the investigators suspect that Headley could have been sent to India to replace an enigmatic Lashkar who escaped a botched plot in May 2006, by jumping out of his second-floor apartment window and disappearing into the crowds on Mumbai’s Grant Road.

The investigators say Headley’s front company, the Tardeo-headquartered Immigrant Law Centre, may have provided key Mumbai-based jihadists — among them fugitive Indian Mujahideen commanders Abdul Subhan Qureshi and Riyaz Shahbandri —passports and tickets to escape from India.

I think the fort hood doctor incident happening at same time as headley arrest would help the

it was a chance occurrence but might help get more co-operation out of gotus.

(my take was that it was NOIDA area).

News of the day

The mysterious name, Rahul, mentioned extensively in LeT operative David Coleman Headley’s e-mails to handlers in Pakistan has finally been identified. It’s neither Shah Rukh Khan nor Rahul Gandhi, but the son of famous filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.

It has also come to light that it was Rahul who helped Headley rent a flat near Breach Candy hospital.

If this inshallah turns out to be true, then we have some interesting days ahead.

The two met at a gym where Rahul who at one point weighed 122 kilos, had come to lose weight and get fit.

Rahul Bhatt at that time was supposed to be launched in a film, Suicide Bomber, under his family banner Vishesh Films

Did Mahesh Bhatt's son know LeT agent Headley?
13 Nov 2009, 0853 hrs IST, MUMBAI MIRROR
http://www.timesnow.tv/Did-Bhatts-son-k ... 331964.cms

And nor is Rahul Bhatt, 25, a fitness instructor and a body builder, on the LeT hit list; he is in fact a friend of Headley who was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Chicago last month.

However, investigating agencies, who have already questioned Rahul, have almost given him a clean chit, saying that he appears to be innocent.

An officer privy to the investigations said, “He has admitted to being friends with Headley. But, in all probability, he didn’t know Headley’s actual background and took him to be a foreign national in India on a job. That was exactly the guise Headley had been living under in India between 2006 and 2009.”

It has also come to light that it was Rahul who helped Headley rent a flat near Breach Candy hospital.

The two met at a gym where Rahul who at one point weighed 122 kilos, had come to lose weight and get fit.

Rahul Bhatt at that time was supposed to be launched in a film, Suicide Bomber :rotfl: , under his family banner Vishesh Films, based on the London bombings which was eventually scrapped.

Headley, a US citizen of Pakistani origin who had been arrested by US’s Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) on October 18 with a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin Tahawwur Rana, at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, had told FBI interrogators that Rahul was a prominent Indian actor. Headley had been arrested on the information that he was planning terror attacks in Denmark and India.

The two men became friends and when Headley expressed that he was looking to rent a flat, Rahul even helped him get one near Breach Candy through a property broker. All this while, say investigators, Rahul was not aware that Headley had LeT links.

During his stay in Mumbai, Headley was ostensibly functioning as a consultant for an immigration firm in Tardeo. That was, possibly, the only identity that Rahul knew of Headley. Earlier, there were theories among intelligence agencies that Rahul could be a code word either for Shah Rukh Khan, who has played several character by that name, or even a place that could have been a terror target.

When contacted, Rahul’s father Mahesh Bhatt neither confirmed nor denied that his son had been questioned by the police in connection with the Headley case. He simply said, “This is an issue of national security and not something trivial related to Bollywood. Ask agencies that deal with national security. I will not say anything more.”

All efforts to reach Rahul failed as his phone was switched off. Text messages sent to him did not elicit any reply till the time of going to press.

Investigators also suspect that Headley may be holding dual passports of US and Pakistan (as Pakistan allows it) and thus escaped the scrutiny of immigration officials as he may have travelled to Pakistan using his Pak passport while to India using his US passport.

In a few e-mail conversations with an LeT operative, Headley has mentioned Rahul several times. The FBI affidavit notes: In an e-mail on July 2009, Headley told Lashkar-e-Taiba Member A that “I think when we get a chance we should revisit our last location again and say hi to Rahul.”

A reply from LeT Member A on the same day read: “To see Rahul is a good idea coz have some work for you over there too. Matters are good enough to move forward...”

On July 9, Headley writes again: “When you say ‘move forward’, do you mean in the north direction or towards Rahul...” To this Member A replies: “Towards Rahul.”

On July 10, Headley writes another mail to Member A: “The visit to Rahul’s place, is it for checking real estate property like before, or something different and if so please tell what you can please. Also is it in Rahul’s city or different one?” To this Member A replied: “There are some investment plans with me, not exactly at Rahul’s city but near that. Rest we can decide when meet according to your ease.”

Again we want more people to people contact with purelanders so that its easy to recruit traitors and turn them into bed n breakfast providers to terrorists when they come visiting. Is PM listening?

However, investigating agencies, who have already questioned Rahul, have almost given him a clean chit, saying that he appears to be innocent.

He must have agreed to turn into a double agent. No point in having him arrested under TADA/POTA and turning the trial into a media circus. Wise move by intel.

Breach Candy hospital is very close to the US consulate in Bombay. Wonder if that was the target. Rahul Bhatt should make history..as the first Indian in Gitmo.

Both TADA/POTA have been repealed :( Now only MCOCA and amended UAPA can be used.

BTW there's no point in trying to convert an exposed enemy agent. His handlers know he has been exposed and wont accept him back, therefore no point in being lenient in punishing this traitor.

On the contrary govt should make an example out of him.

This would serve as an example to all jholawallas, fake secularists and piss activists from inviting purelanders to their home and making their cities vulnerable to terrorist attacks. Mumbaikars should ask bhatt and his family to either stop inviting such terrorists to their homes or bhatt should be kicked out of mumbai. Ask him to go live in pureland were there is eternal piss.

X post from TSP thread

LeT's 'Rahul' is Mahesh Bhatt's son

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/ente ... 225569.cms

The mysterious name, Rahul, mentioned extensively in LeT operative David Coleman Headley's e-mails to handlers in Pakistan has finally been identified. It's neither Shah Rukh Khan nor Rahul Gandhi, but the son of famous filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.

And nor is Rahul Bhatt, 25, a fitness instructor and a body builder, on the LeT hit list; he is in fact a friend of Headley who was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Chicago last month.

Bhatt, who otherwise has his views on everything under the moon said "No comments, matter is being investigated" when asked by TV News.

Paul, double agent ? After the cover is blown up ? Rahul might genuinely have been innocent or otherwise, his super secularist father pulled the right strings. However, it appears that the police came too quickly to a conclusion, even if he is genuinely innocent.

^^ Oh, the yindian police have all too quickly declared Sri Rahul Butt innocent only.

Brilliant move. Since the custurd is under khanate legal protection, the best our pandus could do is get the butts of Sri Butt's tsp handlers all itchy and suspicious. Soon have them probing all over Butt's butt - might spill out some gems in intell in the process and also the dirty work of liquidating Sri Butt's butt can be passed onto expert TSPian hands.

exactly, declared innocent in so short a time appears strange.

his super secularist

SS, just a request, calling two-faced hypocrites such as mahesh bhatt secularist only makes it appear as if there's a problem with being secular in the minds of patriotic people. which is not the case. why not call them by the correct terms, p-sec or the more explanatory terrorist apologist ?

Unfortunately, in today's India "secular" means minority appeasement and showing no respect for majority's sentiments/interests. So "secular" and "pseudo secular" are synonymous. There are only two categories: secular and "Hindu fundamentalist".

Rahul, you are right about this p-secs, but I have not used that term in a derogatory manner. I do believe he is a secularist.

No clean chit yet for Rahul Bhatt: Sources
Last updated on: November 13, 2009 16:42 IST
No clean chit has been given to film producer Mahesh Bhatt's son Rahul, whose name has cropped up in investigations relating to terror suspect David Headley, arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for possible links with Lashkar-e-Tayiba

"No one has been given clean chit," a top government source said when asked about reports from Mumbai . that Rahul Bhatt has been cleared by the investigators of any wrong doing following reports that he had met Headley on some occasions.

Earlier reports from Mumbai quoted Rahul's brother and Bollywood producer, Mukesh as saying that the intelligence agencies had given Rahul a "clean chit".

"What I gather is whatever they have spoken, the intelligence people have given him a clean chit absolutely because there is nothing beyond it," Mukesh said.

Asked about reports that Rahul is being questioned by the FBI, Mukesh said, "No, I don't think so at all, he was not questioned. He told them whatever he knew. He just happened to bump into this character (Headley) in a gym just like anybody can bump into anybody."

Director-producer Mahesh Bhatt refused to comment on the reported links between his son Rahul and Headley, but said the onus is on the investigating agencies to provide an answer on the issue.

According to the Mumbai Mirror newspaper, Pakistan-born United States citizen Headley's 'Rahul' was apparently Rahul Bhatt, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's only son.

Headley, who was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Chicago last month, is said to have told his interrorgators that he met Rahul Bhatt during one of his trips to Mumbai.

"I think the onus is on the national security agencies to answer this pointed question (about Rahul). I feel as a responsible citizen, I should not indulge in a game of trivialising such a serious issue," Mahesh Bhatt said.
"It is an issue which is very serious. It concerns not only my security and the security of my family but the security of the nation. The agencies are there to answer these queries. It is not right for me to indulge in small talk about matters like these," he said. [ permanent Loud mouth suddenly finds virtue in silence !!]
Headley -- who was born Daood Gilani -- befriended Rahul at a gymnasium near Breach Candy in south Mumbai, according to the Mirror report -- and told him he was searching for a flat in Mumbai. Earlier reports mentioned that Headley stayed at a friend's mother's home in Breach Candy during trips to Mumbai.

The FBI found Rahul's name mentioned in Headley's e-mails; he had informed his Lashkar minders in Pakistan that Rahul was a Bollywood star and could be a likely target.

___
My reading is that something very interesting will come out of this Rahul link

Two days after Batla, IM men dialled Headley

Lucknow The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad is probing leads that David Coleman Headley, arrested by the FBI for allegedly plotting a terror attack in India at the behest of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, had contacts with Indian Mujahideen (IM) operatives involved in the 2008 serial blasts in Delhi.

ATS officials have found a UP cellphone number in the call details of the phone Headley used during his stay in Mumbai. This UP number was used by one of the two absconding IM operatives from Azamgarh, Dr Shahnawaz and Asadullah Akhtar alias Asadullah Khan, to contact Headley in Mumbai — two days after the Batla House shootout in Delhi on September 19, 2008. ATS sources said the UP cellphone went dead the same day.

Underworld is most likely the common factor in the Rahul-Headley saga.
The reach of the devil is deep and there is willingness from some parts of the society to collaborate.

Me taking with a pinch of salt. After every "breakthrough" all previous paapis and paaps are connected. A lot like after-thought and extra eagerness to crack the case.
