Indeed the judgement felt more like a common-sensical (quasi-judicial) judgement (like a group of elders get together and want to make sure everyone happy/not pissed off at the end). The 5 acres was unnecessary, in my opinion. Feels like they wanted to give a consolation prize to the Muslims. The fact that it is included may suggest that the judges felt the Muslims had a strong claim on the land and this makes me a bit uncomfortable that the destruction of the original temple was given legitimacy by the Supreme Court of India. (One could argue that the 1992 demolition was the same thing...but, I would disagree- the kar sevaks and others had given the legal system tons of time to move and after looking at the glacial pace of the judicial system, they took action. How many decades does one wait). But this judgement will set a precedent. For Mathura and Kashi, the question will be 'how many acres and where'.

There are 25+ 50+ mosques in Ayodhya (per a post in the past), if Muslims want to build a shaandar mosque right within Ayodhya to compete with the Ram temple, this is a good time for them to introspect what their priorities are as a community. They should build a hospital or a modern women's college. Of course, the sunni waqf board will think along predictable lines- 56 mosques is better than 55 mosques + a educational institution. A line of thinking that will perpetuate their current state of affairs.

How some people today must be bitterly regretting not going in for a "negotiated" settlement when that would have produced a stupendously profitable result for them.

and how these very people would be cursing the commies and naxals who wilfully and needlessly delayed the verdict for over three decades.

owasi and the muslim personal law board, a bunch of unofficial and motivated meddling individuals, with no official standing whatsoever have decided to go in appeal against this judgment.

the muslim personal law board has been encouraged by the commies/congis and the naxals to become a disruptive and malevolent influence to sully the atmosphere in the country.

Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Hussain termed the verdict as "shameful, disgusting, illegal and immoral."

Only in Pakistan is a court judgement termed illegal. Peculiar people. :rotfl:

It is a sad day to see the continued failure of UBCN to educate the Faithful at PeeAref. As we had pointed out earlier after deep tapas:

Abrahamic Faiths, in a trend that has only grown over the millennia, generally build monuments and have festivals to mourn and whine and incite the Faithful to violence over "wrongs", perceived or real. The Victimhood memory is what keeps them building momentum. This is one reason why Shri Yeso bin Joseph ul Nazarethi was such an outlier in that He proposed peace and love, not Revenge. That was soon corrected both by the Church of St. Peter and followers thereof, as well as the more advanced Ibrahimic faith and its most recent refinement, ISIS.

Sanatana Dharmis (including and welcoming Buddhists, Sikh and Jains by honor and friendship, no intent to say anything about their beliefs!) build monuments and have festivals to celebrate the struggle and Triumph of the Truth, Knowledge, Peace and Love over falsehood and evil.

The SC accordingly grants the temple premises at Ayodhya to those who shall celebrate Shri Raman.

And 5 acres to One Community to mourn the Defeat of Evil.

Brilliant decision.

It is also a very modern decision, totally in sync with GOI's Swacch Bharat Abhiyan. There will be an average of 100K, with spikes up to 2M, visitors per day at the Ram Mandir. They need pakistans. This will surely require more than 5 acres. Hence the SC dictates that at least 5acres be found in Ayodhya within walking distance.

Seriously, I assume that Ayodhya will now be choked with yindoo pilgrims, and security people to locate the terrorists also coming in. Why? Because people will come and celebrate the Triumph. Of Raman. Of Bharat. Of Truth. Of Civilization.

If you were One Community, why would u go to Ayodhya any longer? To celebrate ..... what again? C above.
But since they are loyal, smart and enterprising Indians, I predict that they will simply buy up the franchises to run the pakistans and all the food shops and flower shops and ornament shops, as well as the real estate and make millions of crores from the yindoos.

Win-Win!

A significant prediction made by Swami Rama Tirtha for future India is quoted in Shiv R. Jhawar's book, Building a Noble World.[10] Rama Tirtha predicted: “After Japan, China will rise and gain prosperity and strength. After China, the sun of prosperity and learning will again smile at India.

Expecting the community to change is way too much optimism sir...But to your important issue : Supreme Court's dismissal of nirmohi akhara's position was based on statute of limitations. We have to find a way and establish precedent that historical wrongs have to be undone. Supreme court repeatedly said we are judging based on legal/title principles - as a way of limiting other similar claims. We have to break that barrier down next...

VHP collected over 1500 crores in 1990's. Even with simple interest it should be over one billion us dollars by now.

Judges went by account of Guru Nanak's Ayodhya darshan

"The visit of Guru Nanak Devji in 1510-11 AD and to have a darshan of Janambhoomi of Lord Ram do support the faith and beliefs of the Hindus," the judge said.

He said it can, therefore, be held that the faith and belief of Hindus regarding location of the birthplace of Lord Ram is from scriptures and sacred religious books including the Valmiki Ramayana and Skanda Purana, and faith and beliefs cannot be held to be groundless.

"Thus, it is found that in the period prior to 1528 AD, there was sufficient religious texts, which led the Hindus to believe the present site of Ram Janambhoomi as the birthplace of Lord Ram," the judge said.

One of the witnesses in the Suit Number 4, during his examination in the Allahabad high court, had referred to several books about Sikh cult and history and he had stated that Guru Nanak Devji, whose birth anniversary falls on November 12, had sought a darshan of Shri Ram Janambhoomi temple at Ayodhya.

The period during which Guru Nanak Devji went to Ayodhya and had darshan stated to be is 1510-1511 AD, he had said.

Along with his statement, he has annexed various Janma Sakhies, which records the visit of Guru Nanak Devji at Ayodhya and the darshan of Ram Janambhoomi.

Beat me to posting the link to shri lka's comment. Ppl, there are some 47 ppl still being prosecuted for doing the nation's job. There needs to be a mass campaign to dismiss those cases. The SC was no help: they went out of their way to gratuitously declare that the 1992 garbage removal was wrong. Obviously it was right, after 50 saal waiting for the 'just is' system to move their bloomin' (never mind).

Owaisi will try to use the verdict to consolidate Muslim vote behind AIMIM. He will tell Muslims that they can't trust even the secular parties any more. This, if it succeeds, will directly lead to "Muslims cannot live under a Hindu majority India". Pakistan 2.0, which will however be a Balkanization.

This problem needs to be nipped in the bud
