Bartji, the real gravy train for Pakistan is the millions of the unwashed working in the Gulf Area, and the money that they send home. Once these countries invest in J&K, their projects there will become untouchable. Any Jehardi attack on them will see the exodus of Paki workers back to their homes.

Who is this RAW agent (or Bafoon) who is making Pakis have some wet dreams that India will rent the Pakis to have access to Central Asia?He said transit trade was extremely important as Central Asia was a big market and India needed access to it. Similarly, Central Asia also needed access to India.

this "strategic location" nonsense has been the paki USP since before independence and he why is he so desperate to play to their strengths, on their pitch, with their bat and ball, and with their referee.
The perceived threat from imperial russia has long since evaporated, burning away the last vestiges of the delusional paki fantasy of their "strategic location" nonsense and yet we push the same fantasy on their behalf.
Transit is a business deal. nothing more, nothing less.
It is neither romantic, nor is it poetic or even subject to any hidden agenda, save the business agenda and the negotiated transit fees is specifically in return for safe, secure, and guaranteed transit
forget the nonsense about borders cannot be barriers, neighbors cannot be changed, and geography is permanent and such woke BS.

Ukraine to clinch first IMF loan to nation at war
"The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says it has reached an agreement with Ukraine on funding worth $15.6bn (£12.8bn).
The organisation's first loan to a country at war is expected to be approved in the coming weeks.
It would also be one of the largest financing packages Ukraine has received since Russia's invasion.
The IMF recently changed a rule to allow loans to countries facing "exceptionally high uncertainty"."

Basically IMF is held up because of two reasons
1) Current dispensation wants leeway in their economic policies to dole out goodies. Look up the latest 100rs subsidy for petrol for motorcycles, but not for cars (what will happen if I take my motor cycle, fill it up, bring it back home and fill my car? What will happen if I say I will split 75-25 the subsidy at the pump to the pump attendant so he can fill up my 4 wheeled "motorcycle" with a steering wheel). The reason for that is Kaptaan is genuinely popular and the awaam hate austerity. IMF on the other hand wants permanent policies to avoid balance of payment crisis
2) Dar went and told IMF that "friendly countries" are standing in queue to do loan rollovers and give fresh loans. IMF wanted letters from them. Turns out "friendly countries" did not say any of it.
Dar cannot go out and admit publicly that he is unwilling or incompetent. So to a question "Why is IMF loan taking so much time" he thundered "Nobody can take Pakistan's missiles and nukes!!!!!!"
He didnt say IMF wanted Pakistan to give up nukes.
IMF denied saying it. Dar downhill Ski-ied.

IMF bailing out the pakis is like subsidizing the cheeni adventures in the paki CPEC, hence all the goras are waiting for the cheenis to loosen their purse strings first. In any case, the goras will give as little as they can possibly get away with, leaving the cheenis to carry the can which the cheenis will not do and sooner or later, the pakis are headed for the septic tank
A paki default will hit the cheenis first and foremost because of their massive CPEC investments and that is no skin off the gora's nose.
The goras want to leave a scorched earth pak for the cheenis and a crazed nuke rogue jehadi state in India's neighborhood. एक तीर से दो शिकार...
Everybody knows exactly what's happening regarding the default. The goras don't need to say anything, the cheenis will not say anything and the pakis have nothing to say.

Inflation-hit consumers struggle to find substitutes for costly cooking ingredients
KARACHI: During the month of Ramazan, people experience price hike in food products every year, particularly of those that are commonly consumed at homes, restaurants, cafes and caterers during this period.
According to data issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the food inflation rate in February, on year-on-year basis, rose to 47 per cent in rural areas, whereas in urban areas it was recorded at 41.9pc.
Dawn asked caterers whether it was possible to use alternatives or substitutes to basic cooking ingredients like cooking oil, onion, and tomatoes.
Hasnain Haider, manager of Burns Road’s famous “Food Centre” said that they could not use any alternative to tomatoes, onions and cooking oil, because any alternative would affect the taste of their dishes.
Similarly, Mohammad Wasim, owner of a Pakwan centre named “Rohaib Pakwan centre” located in North Karachi, said the “costliest ingredient these days is the cooking oil and ghee, for which we are trying our best to save as much as we can”, and to do it we are utilising “ meet that is full of fat”.
“By doing so, the fat of the meet turns into oil and then it helps to have the food cooked nicely, making its smell and taste more enhanced than with normal cooking oil/ghee,” said Wasim, adding that he even suggested to buy fatty meet to those customers who themselves brought meet after buying it from somewhere else.
When asked about what could be used as a substitute to the milk while making desserts that required milk in abundance, he remarked that “dry/powder milk has become our priority in order to save the cost of desserts, especially with Kheer and Cocktail,” he added.

One killed, eight injured in stampede over free flour in Charsadda
One person was killed and eight others injured during a stampede for free flour in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Charsadda on Thursday, the first day of the holy month of Ramazan.
The price of basic food items has rocketed in recent months, with inflation at a near 50 year-high as the country grapples with a balance of payments crisis that has seen it forced back into negotiations with the International Monetary Fund.
"Nine people were trampled and were taken to hospital where one person died," said Muhammad Arif, police chief for Charsadda.
Millions of low-income families across the country are registered under the scheme.
In a nearby district, a man died and four others were injured when a wall they were sitting on collapsed as crowds amassed for free flour.
Authorities told AFP it was not clear why the wall collapsed.

Pakistan has to repay close to $3bn in next quarter
ISLAMABAD: Amid dwindling foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the country’s external debt servicing requirements for repaying principal and mark-up in dollar amounts will be standing at approximately $3 billion in the last quarter (April-June) of the current fiscal year, reported The News.
Pakistan will have to repay close to $3 billion in the last quarter (April-June) of the current fiscal year as part of its external debt obligations. Pakistani authorities will have to devise a plan B if the IMF does not offer the staff-level agreement.
When contacted, an official said, “We would devise a Plan B if Plan A does not work. Plan A is reviving the IMF programme.”
According to details available with The News, Pakistan would have to repay in the shape of principal and mark-up amounts of $316 million in April 2023. This external debt repayment amount would increase up to $753 million in May 2023. In June 2023, the total external debt servicing requirements will jump up to $1.894 billion.
This external debt servicing requirement does not include IMF’s repayments. However, sources said that these were tentative numbers of external debt repayments which might vary due to exchange rate movements.

Yawn - Pakistan’s new fuel subsidy scheme needs to be agreed before deal: IMF
A long-awaited loan agreement between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be signed once a few remaining points, including a proposed fuel pricing scheme, are settled, an IMF official confirmed on Friday.
The latest issue is a plan, announced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif last week, to charge affluent consumers more for fuel, with the money raised used to subsidise prices for the poor, who have been hit hard by inflation, which in February was at its highest in 50 years.
Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik told Reuters on Thursday that his ministry had been given six weeks to work out the pricing plan.
But the IMF’s resident representative in Pakistan, Esther Perez Ruiz, said the government did not consult the fund about the fuel pricing scheme.
Ruiz, in a message to Reuters, confirmed a media report that a staff-level agreement would be signed once a few remaining points, including the fuel scheme, were settled.

Both camels and roos are eaten quite commonly
Many Australian supermarkets now stock various cuts of kangaroo including fillets, steaks, minced meat and 'Kanga Bangas' (kangaroo sausages). Many Australian restaurants serve kangaroo meat. Kangaroo meat has been exported since 1959
The camel is special to Arabs. As a resilient beast of burden that can survive long treks through the desert with little access to water, it enabled the region to develop as a trading hub. Its meat is prized in the Middle East with the best part famously being the hump.
the pakis will eat anything.
camel meat is also fairly easily available in several parts of India too.
In other places like bigger Indian cities, it is commonly sold on their festival days

Yawn - Bank advances to private sector plunge 73 pc
Not even pious sharia-compliant islamic banking seems to be helping ?Bank advances to the private sector plunged by 73 per cent during the first 8 months of the current fiscal year suggesting a painful economic slowdown leading to massive retrenchments in key industrial sectors.
The current financial year started with many troubles and all sectors after one another are facing a severe production slump amid falling demand triggered by unprecedented inflationary pressures pushing up the cost of production to unstainable levels. The record inflation has already created survival risks for all businesses while the high cost of production makes it impossible for the exporters to compete with their rivals on the international markets.
The steep decline in the credit offtake to the private sector indicates that industrial and business activities are slowing down causing massive layoffs across all sectors. The World Bank and IMF do not expect Pakistan to achieve an economic growth rate of even 2 pc in FY23.
However, the Islamic banks’ lending to the private sector was Rs 75bn compared to Rs 127bn in the same period of last year. It also reflects the slowdown of the economy. The total lending in FY22 by the Islamic banks was Rs 239bn.
