Q1. Why does the father have to work for a living abroad even after you have stashed Rs 200 crore bribe money?
Q2. Can't the child join his father in Singapore or are their no schools in Singapore?
Q3. Who is taking care of the children of farmers who committed suicide last year as a result of lack of funds while you were busy collecting Rs 200 crore in bribe money?
Q4. How many malnutrition children would have Rs 200 crore fed?

BJP wants it to be probed like 2G.
Wiki says that the present minister of coal is Shri MMS himself.
read about this in a blog around 1 month ago. Slowly it seems it is coming to mainstream. Have to see when the english DDM picks them up

2G: HC notice to CBI on Kanimozhi bail plea
Adder later, Kanimozhi's argument to care of her school going kid is a typical political mentality from befitting showing a small kid's cause. Next time if she puts up the same argument, honorable HC should ask Kanimozhi's kid to be put in a govt run orphan school till so that kid's needs can be taken care in absence of parents or till Kanimozhi complete her jail term, and that will bring them to their senses.
So Dr. Artiste's daughter had to be govt guest for May 30th. No one can escapes karma. All these years, the script had run according to his own way, but at fag end of life things turned unpleasant and he had to die seeing his lovely daughter to rot in jail, possible split in family, what a heartache and and humiliation, and probably he deserves it to set an example to others who thinks they are the real omnipotent. The Delhi High Court issued a notice to the CBI on jailed DMK MP Kanimozhi's bail plea in the 2G case on Tuesday. The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for May 30.
"Issue notice to the CBI for May 30," Justice Ajit Bharihoke, who on Monday dismissed the bail pleas of five corporate honchos in the case, said.

TN chief minister Jayalalithaa
AIADMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa promises transparency and accountability in the state.
On her very first day in office the new chief minister of Tamil Nadu signed seven files. All were related to her poll promises, particularly those for women and fishermen. J. Jayalalithaa knows all too well the power of the people who have voted her in. "I am grateful to the people. It is the victory of democracy," she said. And added with one of her rare smiles, "People were waiting to shunt out the DMK.
The elections provided a chance for the people to end the misrule. It's also the defeat of money power. This is a victory of the people of Tamil Nadu." Ever since the results were declared on May 13, the 63-year-old AIADMK supremo has been smiling much more than ever before. It gives the reticient Jayalalithaa a softer, almost maternal look; and perhaps is a sign of the kind of regime she plans to run. One of her first announcements was that 20 kg of free rice would be distributed every month to ration card holders and 35 kg to bpl families. Jayalalithaa also announced the distribution of gold mangalsutras to newly wed brides. She is the benevolent Amma, as promised in her manifesto.
But not everyone is invited to the party. Jayalalithaa's swearing-in was attended by leaders cutting across party lines and watched keenly all over India. However, Sun News, the state's largest Tamil news channel, was not given permission to cover the event. It swallowed the snub and aired the ceremony with borrowed footage from Doordarshan. Sun News is owned by DMK leader M. Karunanidhi's grandnephew Kalanidhi Maran. Interestingly, Sun News and Dinakaran, a daily newspaper owned by Maran, have been lauding Jayalalithaa's "great victory", sparking off speculation that Maran's brother Dayanidhi may split the DMK and join the Congress. It's not just the Marans. Even UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi called Jayalalithaa and congratulated her on her win. Everyone loves a winner and no one has got this message clearer than Jayalalithaa's defeated rival, all alone in his deserted home at Gopalapuram in Chennai. All roads lead to Poes Garden.
In the new era, the media is not an enemy. Jayalalithaa has promised an interaction at least once a week. Transparency and accountability, instead of the autocracy that dominated her earlier stints in power, is the underlying message. She wasted no time in setting up a new ministry under trusted aide S. P. Velumani-Special Programme Implemention will concentrate on fulfilling her poll promises.
She has already begun holding reviews of work done by various departments under the DMK regime even though she has been in office just two days. On both days, the meetings stretched to almost three hours. She explained to her ministers what was expected from them, keeping the AIADMK poll manifesto in mind. "She stressed on the need to deliver on promises within the next 18 months" says a source close to her. "Amma has asked us to go to the people and find out what they need. She has instructed us to focus on what we promised in our manifesto," says an AIADMK minister. Her manifesto is the blueprint of her agenda for governance. Her priorities include law and order, checking prices and improving the agriculture sector. "We will solve the problems of the people on various fronts and look into developmental issues," says Jayalalithaa.
One of the biggest challenges facing her is a power shortage of around 3,000 mw every day. The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has restricted power consumption by high tension industries to 70 per cent of their full usage. There is load-shedding for at least an hour daily in Chennai, while the duration in other parts is between two and three hours. In her campaign she had promised that by 2013 another 5,000 mw would be generated.
She has fast learnt the biggest lesson of this election. Corruption was a big no-no for her while choosing her new team. After all, she had just seen a government routed from power for this very reason. Jayalalithaa has said that revenge is not on her mind. But law-breakers would be dealt with sternly, she warned. Her decision to move the seat of government from the new secretariat built by Karunanidhi back to Fort St. George indicates she plans to undo a lot that the last government did. Two days after the results, Chennai's police commissioner, T. Rajendran, who had been appointed by the DMK government, was replaced by J.K. Tripathy. Rajendran was moved to the state intelligence wing as its ADGP. Chief Secretary Malathy, said to be close to the DMK leadership, too was shown the door and replaced by Debenranath Sarangi.
What is worrying DMK's first family is another promise in her manifesto-that her government will clamp down on the monopoly in the cable TV sector and the film industry. "Cable television will be taken over by the government," said the AIADMK manifesto. Sun TV operates a cable tv distribution network via Sun Cable Vision (SCV), which controls 90 per cent of the market in Tamil Nadu. While it is not quite clear how Jayalalithaa will end the monopoly of an enterprise that depends upon market forces, sources say she will relaunch and promote a rival, the government-owned Arasu Cable TV Corporation.
The day Amma took charge, posters hailing her as the saviour of the film industry were pasted all over Chennai. Until now, the Karunanidhi family dominated the Tamil film industry, cornering both distribution and production rights through its various companies. "More than 250 films were canned and stalled because of the monopoly," says Sarath Kumar, president of the Tamil Nadu Actors Association. Immediately after the election results, the President of Tamil Film Producers Association, Rama Narayanan, a DMK sympathiser, quit and was replaced by S.A. Chandrasekhar, an AIADMK man.
Jayalalithaa knows all too well the politics of revenge. In 1996, when the AIADMK was routed, the then chief minister M. Karunanidhi had filed 46 corruption cases against Jayalalithaa and her colleagues. Jayalalithaa was arrested in December 1996 and sent to prison. Eight cases were filed against her alone. She has been acquitted in seven. In 2001, when Jayalalithaa returned to power, she had her revenge. In a midnight swoop on June 29-30, Karunanidhi was arrested from his residence. The state government withdrew the case when he returned to power in 2006. Strangely, Karunanidhi did not file any case against Jayalalithaa in his last tenure. Will she extend the same courtesy to the ageing Kalaignar? One thing is certain: she will ensure the fall of the already shaky DMK empire. Albeit with the gentlest of smiles.

But INC may have maintained how much each party gave bribes and how much money was made in corruption.
This should be good enough to put each group into legal jail for long term
They just waited for things to unravel and find out who will blink first and who will fall fist.

In 2000, India's biggest tax evader, Hassan Ali Khan, gifted a Rs 1.2 crore diamond to Congress politician from Andhra Pradesh, Renuka Chowdhury. Khan was also close to other Andhra Pradesh politicians such as former chief minister Vijay Bhaskar Reddy and Lok Sabha member Jaya Prada. These revelations have been made by Khan's one-time business partner Kashinath Tapuriah, a Kolkata-based industrialist now lodged in Mumbai's Arthur Road jail with Khan in a case of tax evasion. ...
Tapuriah said that he met Chowdhury through Congress leader Jagdish Tytler. Despite repeated attempts by India Today to contact her, Chowdhury was unavailable for comment.

Filming the 2G court
A person was caught while video graphing the 2G scam special court proceedings on mobile camera. What is your name, asked the judge. Hearing the name, the entire court was stunned. The person said his name is Sohail Hindustani. Any way one Delhi Police officer clarified that this man was not the same one, who was caught on Trust Vote Controversy. Allegations are flying thick and fast that this man was filming the procedures of the court for a corporate boss. Some say, one of the high profile witnesses Nira Radia wanted to see the court proceedings in advance for familiarisation. Others alleged that pictures were being taken for a corporate honcho, who may figure in the next chargesheet.

Black money: Baba Ramdev's hunger strike threat has government acting hot and cold
While Union home minister P Chidambaram directed the Delhi Police to refuse permission to Ramdev to hold any dharna at the Ramlila grounds, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee has promised action on his demands. Mukherjee not only met him for more than an hour but also dispatched chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes Sudhir Chandra for further action. Ramdev was reported to be extremely upset with the Income-Tax department for digging up his old house in Narnaul in Haryana in search of black money.
Sudhir Chandra has apologised to the yoga guru.

Re: Two-G (2G) Spectrum Scam Tapes and follow-up
Not related directly to 2G scam, but its of telecom in nature and it deserves to be posted in full.
Minister steals a telephone exchange, loots BSNL
Minister steals a telephone exchange, loots BSNL
Given the right operational freedom, CBI and other investigative agencies can do wonders and we people of India deserves a strong Lokpal bill with its own wing of CBI and CVC for investigative purposes.CHENNAI: Indeed a shocking, daring robbery. A telecom central minister from Tamil Nadu got the BSNL to connect 323 telephone lines to his home, not in Delhi where he had work, but in Chennai where he had none. He got all the 323 home lines listed not in his name but in the name of the Chief General Manager BSNL Chennai. These lines virtually constituted a telephone exchange in the minister’s home. It was exclusively used for his family business by laying 3.4 km long secret cable along public roads to connect the lines to the business premises. This had caused huge loss to BSNL. Who was that enterprising minister? The infamous A Raja? No. It is the famous Dayanidhi Maran; Raja’s predecessor, now the central Textile Minister. The CBI, which probed the fraud, wrote to the Secretary Telecom on 10.9.2007 recommending action against Maran for the fraud.
Dayanidhi Maran was obviously not playing marbles with 323 telephones. He got the BSNL to lay separate and exclusive underground cable from his Boat Club home to the SUN TV office at Anna Arivalayam in Anna Salai and fraudulently linked the 323 home lines to his brother Kalanidhi’s SUN TV network. The first 23 of the 323 lines bore numbers ‘243722 11’ to ‘24372301’ and the next 300 lines bore numbers ‘24371500’ to ‘24371799’. Since the first four digits ‘2437’ were common for all 323 lines, the lines constituted a home telephone exchange. The Dayanidhi home exchange was operational in the SUN TV establishment for at least months from January 2007 through the fraudulent cable connection from Dayanidhi’s Boat Club home. They were no ordinary telephone lines, but costly ISDN lines, which could carry tons and tons of TV news and programmes faster than satellites to any part of the world. These lines, the CBI says in its report, are “normally used by medium to large commercial enterprises to meet special needs such as video conferencing, transmission of huge volume of digital data of audio and video” – precisely the facility that SUN TV would need for its telecasting operations. For this, the SUN TV would have paid huge cost. But it got it all free, at government’s cost.
The Maran home exchange, says the CBI, was “programmed in such a way that no one other than the authorised BSNL staff were aware of the existence of such an Exchange created for his [minister’s] exclusive use”. It added that by linking the minister’s home and SUN TV office by the stealthy cables, “it would appear as if the lines were used in the residence of the former minister, but actually the cables laid facilitated SUN TV network to utilise the services of BSNL provided at his residence”. Google map shows the distance to SUN TV as 3.4 kms along the main artery roads of the area, which were dug up to bury the illegal underground cables from Maran home to SUN TV office! It was not one of those secret White Collar frauds, but a crime committed in the open roads.
What could be the probable loss to the exchequer by this fraud? On “a sample study”, the CBI says, “it is learnt that 48,72,027 units of calls have emanated from [just] one Telephone No 24371515 in the month of March 2007 alone, which is indicative of the massive multimedia transfer in the underlying connections”. Just one of the 323 lines accounted for over 48 lakh call units in March 2007 alone – Yes almost 49 lakh call units in one month, through one of the 323 phones! Assume that each of the 323 connections was put to use as efficiently as Marans had operated the Number 24371515; the total number of call units SUN TV would have unlawfully robbed the BSNL during January 2007 to April 2007 [Maran resigned on May 13] could be as high as 629.5 crore call units. With the prevailing rate of 70 paise per call unit could the loss to BSNL be as high as `440 crore? Only a thorough investigation can reveal the true loot. But, the story does not end here. SUN TV’s print cousin ‘Dinakaran’, too has got its share of the loot. Says the CBI: “It is also learnt that similar service connections with ISDN facilities have been provided at the office of Dinakaran, a Tamil Daily, belonging to the group of SUN TV Network at Madurai, though specific phone numbers are not available”. But how did the CBI get to investigate the fraud and where is its report now? It calls for a brief flash back.
Maran, a grand nephew of Karunanidhi, was the central telecom minister from June 2004 to May 2007. Perhaps the only Hindi knowing family member, Maran was Karunanidhi’s eyes and ears in Delhi and his connect to Sonia Gandhi. The ‘young’ and ‘dynamic’ minister was amongst the most powerful in the UPA government of which the DMK was the most critical partner.
Telecom Ministry sitting on CBI report for over 44 months
Need an illustration for Maran’s reach then? Not only could he threaten Ratan Tata to part with a third of Tata DTH shares, but he also could threaten him not to reveal that he had threatened him! But suddenly, Maran fell from the cliff into the pit, thanks to a costly slip by Dinakaran, a Tamil daily owned by Dayanidhi’s brother Kalanidhi Maran. On 9.5.2007, Dinakaran carried an opinion poll that had trashed Karunanidhi’s son Alagiri as non-entity in Tamil Nadu politics. Alagiri’s angry supporters burnt down the Madurai establishment of Dinakaran on the same day, snuffing out the lives of three innocent staff. Karunanidhi sided with his son Alagiri against his grand nephews, the Marans. Result, Dayanidhi was instantly out of the DMK and the central ministry. It was then that the CBI probed the daring fraud. And now back to the main story.
The CBI had recommended action against Maran as early as in September 2007.
But the CBI letter is obviously sleeping somewhere since then, and for the last 44 months. The CBI letter had specifically asked the Telecom Secretary to bring the matter “to the notice of” Raja. So the case against Maran of DMK was to be approved by Raja also of DMK.
With the 2009 elections approaching, as was expected, warring nephews and sons of Karunanidhi patched up on December 1, 2008, with Karunanidhi saying, “my eyes grew moist and heart was content.” The CBI letter was perhaps used to make Marans fork out generous terms for peace. After the 2009 elections, Dayanidhi, who got elected, attempted again to make it to the Telecom Ministry, but could not.
He became the Textile Minister instead; and he is so even now.
With the family feud subsiding, the CBI letter against Maran began gathering dust somewhere in Telecom Ministry.
Haunted by the 2-G scam, Raja resigned in November 2010 and Kapil Sibal took over. Sibal is sitting on the CBI report since then.
And Maran, as Textile Minister, is sitting in cabinet meetings along with Sibal.
And despite the CBI advice for action against Maran sleeping for over 44 months, now Prime Minister promises to Baba Ramdev that he would tackle corruption with “seriousness” and “without delay”, while he himself is still sitting with Maran in cabinet meetings. It seems as much a comedy as it is a tragedy.

By saying them as buffoons, you are unfortunately trivializing them. A buffoon is meant to be ignored.
These thieves who have stolen our money, should be punished in jail and more importantly the money got back from them along with penal interest.

Dunno what all scam this guy is doing in textile now
Re: Two-G (2G) Spectrum Scam Tapes and follow-up
Really enjoyed few of DIEs(Vinod Mehta, Bachhi Karkaria and Ranjana Kumari) getting hammered on Arnab's show. I will try to post video when link becomes available.

Re: Two-G (2G) Spectrum Scam Tapes and follow-up
Marans were kicked out of the circle and DM had to leave IT minister post. It took a while for reconciliation to happen. The others hate the Marans. Once MK dies, there will be heavy infighting knowing the attitude of Alagiri and co. But the kids may be alright (Alagiri's boy who's pretty young) and reconcile with his generation.ramana wrote:Its now the Marans under the radar.
I may be worng but MK's progeny were jealous of how the Marans parlayed their position in the Center to garner wealth. Hence the MK gang insistence on getting the Telecom ministry for their own minion. The Radia tapes are one window on this Maran-MK struggle.
Another thing is, DM has a good name and has a good circle (all businessmen - he has inner circle (textile dominated, heaad of the circle has airline/textile interests there (those who know the TN area well will know who I am talking about) and outer circle and organised like a royal court).
Once MK dies the party will take a while to come up.
JJ will break all the monopolies of DMK surely.
Re: Two-G (2G) Spectrum Scam Tapes and follow-up
Once MK leaves the scene, the DMK flock will split and eventually join the INC in five-ten years time.
After JJ goes, her flock will also do name change and join BJP as they need to be opposing the other gang.
Again long view.

Re: Two-G (2G) Spectrum Scam Tapes and follow-up
^^ Who will lead will be the big question. Do MK kids have the maturity to reconcile? Unlikely. Stalin is dieing of cancer. Marans and Alagiri's will join INC yes. At the moment they all hate each other. It will be an interesting succession to watch.
Still talk of ADMK - INC alliance in next central elections.
