How can Haqqani network in Af Pak be seen as against India.
It was used aginst the Soviet and it has nothing to do with India.

http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/201 ... -conflict/
For years, Pakistan has refused to root out the Haqqani network, despite repeated U.S. demands and threats to eliminate or reduce billions of dollars of military and economic aid.

The military denies the network even operates inside the country and says it is already stretched too thin fighting local Taliban to open a war on a new front.

Nonetheless, it has cultivated the Haqqani network for almost 40 years as a proxy in Afghanistan, and sees it and its Taliban allies as a hedge against India.

“Pakistan doesn’t trust us with Afghanistan — and from Islamabad’s perspective not without cause,” said Robert Baer, a former case officer in the Middle East for the Central Intelligence Agency and columnist for Time magazine.

“We took a strategic decision to invade a country central to their national-security doctrine without seriously consulting them.”

That is foreign policy of India. It is not internal to India

Now this. How can Pakistan be in the global stage if not supported by global powers.
Admiral Mullen, while refreshingly outspoken, was only voicing the indisputable truth.

The Pakistanis are - and have always been - duplicitous and corrupt Machiavelian players on the global stage. Quick to take billions in American "aid", their allegiance has always been to those who will pay the highest price.

At the end of the day, the Americans will simply add them to the list of other dysfunctional Islamic nations that cannot be trusted.

Pakistani and U.S. officials say an American missile strike near the Afghan border has killed an al-Qaida-linked Pakistani militant commander.

Two Pakistani intelligence officials said Saturday the commander, Haleem Ullah, was among three militants killed in a U.S. missile strike in South Waziristan on Friday.

A U.S. official says Ullah served as deputy to Afghan warlord Maulvi Nazir, who leads a group of militants in the Pakistani tribal region that is closely allied with al-Qaida.

He says the group works with al-Qaida commanders to direct cross-border operations against the U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Pakistan is a multi headed Hydra. You chop off one head two more will crop up. We need to dry off the sustenance. Stop feeding the fiend. Let it come to its begging form and then we can all shoot at once, burn it with gasoline and finish it off.
If not just leave it alone and build our defenses and economy.Prepare for the eventual day and fight it with all the might.
Anything else is just bullshit. Mullens statement on one hand and billion dollars on the other hand is just plain bullshit.

Pakistan, A Demoralized State
Some real gems here:
Pakistan should look towards improving her ties with countries like China, India, Afghanistan and Iran. These countries occupy key places on account of their territorial contiguity with Pakistan. Saudi Arabia and the other Arab states are also important to the interests of Pakistan.

A MIRACLE OF ALLAH!

Post by Pattom »

Astronomers have just reported that if you stare directly at the Sun for 3 minutes, you will clearly see "ALLAH" written in green, Arabic script on the surface of the Sun.

Please pass this on so everybody can experience the miracle for themselves, Inshallah! Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) wants all good Muslims to see this. This is a sure way to reach Jannat (paradise).

Sorry, I did not know where else to post this miraculous finding.

Sorry if (some parts are) already posted, but it is interesting to see some frank back and forth in Q & A period - SOS Clinton's Kumpuris Distinguished Lecture Series... (From state.gov site)

Read the whole for context etc...

Remarks at the Kumpuris Distinguished Lecture Series: Audience Question and Answer Segment

Some excerpts:
QUESTION: But to get to the fun part, my question involves the fact that since 9/11 our country has had a policy where anybody who harbors terrorists is considered a terrorist themselves. And it’s now become pretty evident that Pakistan has been harboring the Haqqani Network for a while, not just harboring them but even helping them.

So my question to you as our chief diplomat is: How do you plan on balancing the pressure that we need to put on Pakistan to stop that with the fact that we also need them as an ally in the war on terror? And thank you again.
Now, I also think it’s important to take a little historical review. If you go on YouTube, you can see Sirajuddin Haqqani with President Reagan at the White House, because during the war against the Soviets in Afghanistan, the United States Government, through the CIA, funded jihadis, funded groups like the Haqqanis to cross the border or to, within Afghanistan, be part of the fight to drive the Soviets out and bring down the Soviet Union.

So when I meet for many hours, as I do, with Pakistani officials, they rightly say, “You’re the ones who told us to cooperate with these people. You’re the one who funded them. You’re the ones who equipped them. You’re the ones who used them to bring down the Soviet Union by driving them out of Afghanistan. And we are now both in a situation that is highly complex and difficult to extricate ourselves from.” That is how they see it.
And they also have used groups in the past to support their ongoing conflict with India over Kashmir. And when I became Secretary of State, they were trying to basically appease the Pakistani Taliban who were attacking them. So they were trying to draw a distinction between the good terrorists and the bad terrorists, because we had funded the good terrorists together.
..That in no way excuses the fact that they are making a serious, grievous, strategic error supporting these groups, because you think that you can keep a wild animal in the backyard and it will only go after your neighbor? We have too many stories where that doesn’t turn out like that.

Pakistan’s exports to India declining
According to official data, Pakistan’s exports to India were 30 per cent of what India exported to Pakistan in 2009 which fell to 24 per cent in 2010 and further shrank to 20 per cent in 2011.

In terms of dollar, exports to India stood at $313 million, $260 million and $286 million in 2009, 2010 and 2011 respectively while Indian exports to Pakistan stood at $1.032 billion, $1.061 billion and $1.445 billion in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Their IT exports are still strong though

Pakistan’s IMF rebuff to be short-lived
Analysts say the government is taking the risky move of choosing short-term political gain over long-term economic stability. If Pakistan later decides to seek a new IMF programme — and most economists think it will — the chances of success could be hurt by a current crisis in bilateral ties with Washington. “It is only a matter of time before we (Pakistan) go back to the IMF because our external position is just not sustainable,” said Sayem Ali, an economist at Standard Chartered Ltd. In 2008, Pakistan averted a balance-of-payments crisis by securing — with help from its ally the United States — the $11bn IMF loan on favourable terms.

At present, Pakistan can pay its bills and a government official said the economy can withstand a break with the IMF. But there are serious doubts about financial viability beyond the fiscal year that ends in June 2012. Pakistan’s economy remains highly vulnerable to widening deficits and the move away from the IMF could later spawn ratings downgrades as well as make other governments and donors reluctant to give loans. “On its own, the government has little financial credibility,” said Asif Qureshi, director of Invisor Securities.

He still doesn't get it. 99.9999% of Pakis don't get this yet.

Pakis are NOT working for US or became lackeys of US or supporting US interests. The Pakis attach themselves to anyone who they think can hurt India. They are like a whore who sleeps with any one free to spite her competitor because she thinks she can destroy her business. Pakis now want to run behind chinese juggernaut because china and US have some tensions and china wants to screw India.

We Had a lecture by Rudy juliani in a conference.

He said in order to succeed every one has to have a goal and come with a plan to achieve the goal. The Paki plan is to screw india not develop their own country. If tomorrow srilanka find 10 trillion worth of oil and becomes a superpower, Pakis will sell themselves to them claiming they helped them while India screwed them.

Sunni Tehreek, which has been advertised by fake liberals in India and elsewhere as 'moderate' has been showing its true colors more openly of late. These are the same mulla-baric animals that praised Qadri and have called for jihad on America..
why Mumtaz Qadri, who he said is hero of Muslim Ummah cannot be released.
The ummah has a lot of such heroes..
thousands of Mumtaz Qadris would emerge
...as if they are not there already..

Nuke these animals en-masse, no other choice..

The fact is that you don't need to look at the sun for three minutes to see the words "Allah" written in green in Arabic. I think that was his objection. One minute should be enough. If you don't know how to read Arabic - it's not a problem - whatever you see written on the sun, you can be sure that you are seeing Allah written on it. In Arabic. From Pakistan. :D

If one is really pious, if one stares for extra one minute, one can also see the directions to the houri house, in bright Green written on the sun in pure arabic symbol, so one can not miss the route to collect 72 raisins. For pure pakis, it is less than 30 seconds.

If looking at the sun can do that kind of miracle, then all the quotes in the book are a person's visual interpretation of the hallucination while lost in the desert and trying to survive the deportation from the nearest human settlements.Everything that followed is nothing more than political upheaval under the guise of a religious doctrine.

Why stare an extra minute? The really pious should use "modern" technology and get the same or better result in less time - use a convex lens and focus the beam on the eye.

Folks there are unfortunately some real issues with living next to a hellhole.

http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes ... olio-cases
ATTARI: Fearing polio virus threat from Pakistan, the ministry of health and family welfare has begun anti-polio vaccination drive at Attari land and rail border. Under this all children between 0 to 5 years, arriving in India from Pakistan are being administered polio drops.

Polio virus importation from Pakistan is a major threat after dengue virus.

"In India the last polio case was detected on January 13, 2011 while 89 polio cases have been detected in Pakistan," said deputy commissioner, immunization, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Dr Pradeep Haldar in Attari on Tuesday.

Amritsar civil surgeon Avtar Singh Jharewal said July to November is the most vulnerable period for the transmission of polio virus so as a preventive measure they were administering polio drops to all the children arriving from Pakistan. "We also fumigate Samjhauta Express and the buses entering India from Pakistan," said Jharewal.

He said a health workers team led by a medical officer was deputed both at the Attari rail and land border to also keep an eye on any passenger arriving from Pakistan with symptoms including fever and body ache. "We have asked for kits to conduct NS 1 test that confirms dengue on the very first day," he said.

A young Pakstani tourist Shadat said dengue had reached epidemic proportions in Pakistan especially in the neighbouring city Lahore so it was right on the part of Indian authorities to take preventive measures. Another Pakistani visitor Afrida Sarfaraz said she was impressed to see all that the Indian government was doing to take care of its people.

What I wrote comes from the Journal of the Islamic World Academy of Sciences (Chief Editor: Prof. Naci M Bor FIAS), so not to be taken lightly.

In the article, many Islamic Scholars (incl Imran N Hosein, Abdul Majeed al-Zindani, Sheikh Haron, et al) confirm what I wrote about Allah (SWT) written on the surface of the Sun. The article stated, further, that those who have seen the miracle are blinded for a few days by the magnificence of that vision, but that they will return to full vision knowing the Almighty.

So, I urge all true believers to act immediately. Choose a clear day, with no clouds and the Sun high up in the sky. Mid-day is a good time. Lie back, take a deep breath and look the Sun in the face. It would be a good idea to ask your friends and companions to accompany you on this holiest of missions. It is said that great things come to pass soon after this sublime experience.

Added later:

You must do Wudu prior to this for it to have an effect.

“Do more” rut continues
Right on the heels of the all parties’ conference President Barack Obama went on the air to assert that his administration would continue to push Pakistan to ‘do more’ to weed out militants having safe havens within its territory. And now if our leaders bow down before this declaration, it would constitute a slap in the face of our entire political leadership that had at the APC held at Islamabad on Thursday decided to go for the peace option rather than pursue the tribal militants with an armed action.
Washington appears to be confused at the sudden turn of events – from the quietly compliant attitude of our ruling circles to a show of defiance – and an American official was cited as saying that there would be no ‘US boots on the soil of Pakistan’. The reaction of the Pakistani public to the threat of invasion of the country’s territory and the increased anti-American sentiment it created might also have contributed to this softening.
As predicted pakis are sseing the softening of stands by US as its weakness. Now that the mangoes have tasted this 'victaree' it will be increasingly difficult for the civilian government or TSPA to do more to comply with demands from US. Why do more when the great satan is scared of us, hainji?

Execution of death sentence on Taseer’s killer to deepen religious sentiments: Baloch
LAHORE, (SANA): The Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary Liaqat Baloch has said that former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer had himself invited death by issuing blasphemous statements and the accused Mumtaz Qadri did not deserve death in this case.

Commenting on the death sentence announced to Mumtaz Qadri by an anti terrorism court, he said that Salman Taseer had belittled the love of our people for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) by holding a joint press conference with the blasphemer woman and promising him clemency which sparked the religious sentiments of the accused and prompted him to take the extreme step.

He said although the accused had made a confessional statement but the rulers should realize if the execution of the death sentence would help improve the situation or further deepen the religious sentiments of the Muslim masses. However, he said the execution of the death sentence won’t be an easy step.

How many people understand this hoax
Only the people who have understood Unkil and Paki dealings in the past understand this hoax. Only difference this time is the stakes are much higher. If there is an attack much bigger than 26/11 on India now, US can getaway saying that US is doing whatever it can. To me,It all appears some kind of "pre-emptive" house cleaning.

I know there are some people who are saying that there is considerable proportion of people in US who are understanding Pakistan's perfidy and distancing Washington from Islamabad, Well I say we have all heard those stories before and we will believe only when US considers a decapitation strike on ISI. Nothing short of that will float here, atleast on BRF where people have absolutely no idea what the heck they are talking about and post just crap!

Looking ahead in Pakistan
Without access to secret intelligence, it’s hard to say whether the aid (which could be replaced by the Pakistanis with aid from China) should be cut, whether the touchy Islamabad government wants to or can control the spy agency, or whether U.S. forces should expand their drone aircraft attacks in defiance of any Pakistan objections.

Prudence demands preparation for any crisis. That means being able to replace supply routes into Afghanistan by heavier use of routes from Central Asia, the extraction of U.S. citizens from Pakistan by fighter-plane protected helicopters if necessary, and the ability to thwart any hostile military moves by Pakistan.

No one wants to lose a valued ally — especially a nuclear-armed one — but that’s assuming they actually are an ally

US “Diplomat” Raymond Davis who shot to death two citizens of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in broad daylight on the streets of Lahore arrested on misdemeanour charges of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct arrested in the US.

Raymond Davis certainly does come across as a violent individual whom the Islamic Republic of Pakistan should have kept locked up rather than connived at releasing from custody:

ATC awards death penalty to Mumtaz Qadri

Whatever happened to his rock solid defence using quoranic verses. Did the Judge committ blasphemy now by sentencing Qadri?

here is the earlier report:
Mumtaz Qadri pleads guilty to killing Salmaan Taseer over 'blasphemous' statements
He said that Qadri had also submitted a written statement of 40 pages, containing verses from the holy Quran, quotations from the life of the Prophet, four decisions of the Caliphs and views of Hanafi, Shafai, Maliki, Hanbali and Jafria schools of thought from the Islamic jurisprudence about blasphemy under section 265-F (5) of the CrPC.

Qadri contended that Taseer had committed blasphemy under these references and, every person who committed such act or supported a blasphemer or doubted that the punishment of blasphemer was unjustified or practically tried to abolish sentence for commission of blasphemy, was liable to death.

The defence lawyer said the prosecution raised no objection to the statement, therefore, the judge admitted the statement and made it a part of the court record.
No matter, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan will a la Raymond Davis force the Taseer family to accept "blood money" and exonerate Qadri. The financial drain of the no doubt hefty ransom that will need to be paid to secure the release of the kidnapped Shahbaz Taseer should put the Taseer family in receptive frame of mind  .
