Pakistan to face travel ban if fails to control polio
With enormous efforts spanning over a decade, we have eliminated polio from our vast country. We want to retain that status at all costs. That is one more important reason why easing travel regulations for Pakistanis is ill-advised. A remorseless terrorist country does not deserve any sympathy and that too putting ourselves in danger.

If the WHO imposes a travel ban on Pakistan due to Polio and India does not honour it, India too will face a ban. Polio is too serious a disease to be taken lightly.

The idiotic article by Asshairaf should earn him a Paki Passport and identity card, ala Jundal, rightaway..

Even if you assume the statement of overflowing love and affection amongst Pakbarics is true (it is completely false as shown by repeated surveys, polls, politicians' stand, suppot for jehadi terror etc), the reason he is attributing to that is strange - it is the same logic used by a guy that murdered his parents and then claimed sympathy because he is an orphan.

There were a huge minority of Hindus and Sikhs etc., in Pakbaric animalistan. Having ethnically cleansed them, forcibly converted and murdered as many as they could, these sewer scums now commission idiots to write article attributing their 'broad minds and generous hearts' to having successfully accomplished that ethnic cleansing.

This is a thoroughly anti-Paki article if you read it carefully as he declares that Pakabric animals are not civilised enough to live with minorities and their hearts will be in the right place only if they do ethnic cleansing, genocide and mass murder. That is true and is there is enough evidence of that. Which is what now they are doing to Shias, Balochs, Hazaras and other minorities.

Perhaps in a few years time, this author or some other idiot will declare that Pakis are so generous with Ahmedis and Shias and Hazaras because they are no longer there and hence there is no need to hate them!.

Is the author suggesting a similar solution for India?

He will not loose sleep over some polio affected Indians no? So how come Terrorists trained by Pakistan are different than Poliovirus? Both are Non-state actors onlee na! India must behave like a mature regional power and encourage people-people contact.
Entire world has a great opportunity to quarantine Pakistan. Lets not blow this.

Growth signs in Pak economy inspiring: Australian Economic Counseller
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's natural and human resource potential was matchless, Economic Counseller of Australian High Commission, Melissa Kelly, said Thursday while declaring some of the recent signs of growth in Pakistan as very inspiring.

Melissa Kelly was talking to a delegation of Federal of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) that included Chairman FPCCI Standing Committee on Diplomatic Affairs, Sheikh Humayun Sayeed and Chairman Media FPCCI, Malik Sohail.

"Despite numerous challenges Pakistan's economy was doing well which is very encouraging," she said and added "all major international investors and companies are making profits despite the security challenges."

The Economic Counsellor said Pakistan is the gateway to energy rich central Asian states, financially liquid Gulf states and economically advanced Far Eastern countries.

Besides, she said that Pakistan has world's second largest salt mine, fifth largest gold mine, fifth largest coal reserves, seventh largest copper mine; great consumer market and fourth largest competent workforce in the world. {All the stuff mentioned here is based on natural resources, nothing creative.}

Melissa Kelly said that an Australian delegation has just completed visit of Pakistan and they have decided to investment in the citrus sector including construction of a juice extraction plant. {All pukis could extract was juice extraction plant..lol}

She said that there is a great scope of cooperation between Pakistan and Australia in different sectors including energy, industry and agriculture.

On the occasion, Sheikh Humayun Sayeed highlighted the salient features of liberal and deregulated trade regime of Pakistan which offered enormous opportunities for foreign investors.

Stressing the promotion of economic links, Sayeed said that the two countries should boost exchange of delegations and expos which will bring business communities together that would lead to more trade in future.

Malik Sohail Hussain appreciated the role of Australian High Commission in promotion of trade and economic relations between the two friendly countries.

He said that Australia can get access to central Asia by USING Pakistan as an economic bridge. {So they agree they are nothing more then c0nd0m}

Malik Sohail said the perception about Pakistan is not what is portrayed as it better than most of the regional countries in case of doing business, strong infrastructure, fast growing middle class.

Australia is the third choice for Pakistan students studying abroad, incentives can help Canberra climb the ladder, he said.

Just an observation .
What I find a little strange by columnists who write about TSP is that they define people they visit by one or two acts of hospitality.
As if that act defines the person in entirety. What are the authors expecting of their hosts? Welcoming them with a grenade in one hand and a Kalashnokiv in the other? Of course, they are going to act as if they are normal people. Does it even occur to them that one can still be supportive of violent means and jihad and can harbour hate against India.
Subsequently, new generations of Pakistanis grew without having the ‘lived experience’ of hatred for Hindus, co-terminus with Indians, thus liberating them from the shackles of history in welcoming the Indian as a long-lost brother or sister whose grandfather was opposed to the creation of Pakistan.
What kind of numb f***in nut writes this. More and more, I see weird concoctions being made to paint of picture of normalcy and just-like-everybody-else. What are these guys thinking? That after reading their article, world + dog will go "Oh really? Didn#t know. Thanks for the exposing the true picture . Off I go to the Paki consulate for my Visa ."

Wonder where all this poison is coming from despite living in "sanitized" and pristine environment for over 60 years now. The writer does not get it because he is a duffer schmuck. Little dated but very relevant and pertinent to the nonsense article.
http://www.islam-watch.org/AbulKasem/De ... -Islam.htm
FP: Fair enough, please expand.

Kasem: There is a secret life of Islam and it may very well lead to the death of Islam. The history of Islam, for instance, tells us that Islam needs blood to thrive. Human blood is the life-line of Islam, violence its hallmark, and hate its foundation. In the beginning, Islam lives on the blood of infidels. When that is unavailable, or becomes difficult, Islam must cannibalize itself. As a car needs gasoline to run, so does Islam need human blood just to run its own course, set by Muhammad, its Prophet.

During the last few decades we have witnessed Islamic cannibalism right, front and center. The most recent event was the Iran-Iraq war, in which millions of Muslims were killed, not by the infidels (kafirs) but by Muslims. Undoubtedly, in not-too-distant a future, we are bound to witness many such events of Islamic cannibalism.
The consequences are obvious and inevitable: Sunnis are free to destroy Shia mosques; the Shias are permitted to destroy Sunni mosques; both these groups are free to destroy Ahmedi or Kurdish mosques, and so on. Within each group there are sub-groups and they are also entitled to commit such atrocities on other groups. This is exactly what is going on in almost all Islamic Paradises.

In Iraq, Sunnis are destroying Shia mosques and murdering them. In Pakistan, Sunnis are killing the Shias and burning their mosques. Then the Shias are avenging this by destroying Sunni mosques. In Bangladesh, both the Sunnis and the Shias are occupying Ahmedi mosques and setting them on fire. This musical chair of mosque-burning and killing is proceeding unabated, each group claiming they are the true Muslims. Each group is adamant they are absolutely following the Qur’an and Sunna (Muhammad’s deeds and examples), the two principal sources of Islam.

Interestingly, this fratricide is unstoppable, as the Islamic Ummah is far from monolithic. No one knows the precise divisions among the Ummah. But Muhammad had predicted that the Muslims will be divided into seventy-two sects, each one killing one another, and together killing the infidels.
FP: Tell us a few major sects and sub-sects of Islam:

Kasem: Here are some of the main ones:

Sunnis: Hanafi, Shafii, Maliki, Hanbal

Sufis

Wahabis

Salafists

Submitters (Qur’an only Muslims)

Khilafites

Deobandis

Shia: Jaffri, Islamilia, Zaidiah, Yazdis

Ashariyahs

Alawis

Qadianis

Ahmedis

Druzes

Dawoodis

Bohras

Kharizis

Kurds

Needless to say, each group (and sub group) thinks they are the true Muslims, and only they have the right to practice Islam. Thus often, they cannibalize one another. There is no tolerance, compromise or truce among these groups.
We can conclude that there is a certain ending to Islam and that those who wish for it do not necessarily need to do anything. All that is needed is to let it run its own course. It is bound to self-destruct, if we are to learn from the lessons of Islamic history. The un-Islamic world just needs to protect itself with strict security measures, never letting the various groups of Islam unite to kill the infidels. Once the infidels learn the secret life of Islam, it is simply a matter to watch how Islam implodes. Once the Islamic oil runs dry, once the world secures a reliable source of energy to replace oil, once the infidels stand together, and once the infidels become iron-resolute to contain Islam in their lands, Islam will die a natural death.

Bottomline, the kafirs need to quarantine the pakis and let them stew in their juices and find paradise as they regularly seem to do it. Godspeed with that. But no need to invite bonhomie with paki animals.

this time they will blame pakistan for the london olympics nuclear attach in which about 1 lack people will die. and as a result they will wage a war against pakistan.
I bet there are fast computers in Langley and Fort Meade that every day are happily adding more and more Pakis to the no-fly list, and numerous other terrorist watch lists. These Pakis who unburden themselves daily on Laal Topi's many social media playgrounds are doing everybody else a good favor.

Women ‘banned’ from shopping alone in Lakki

You might think "So whats new? This is typical taliban behavior". But but...
The police have banned women from shopping in the markets in Serai Naurang tehsil without being accompanied by a male relative in Ramazan. Speaking on the occasion, DSP Sanaullah said women coming out for shopping without a male relative to bazaars would be arrested. He said the decision had been taken keeping in view the sanctity the Ramazan.

Mullah Sandwich plays mean:

Samiul Haq renounces support for polio immunisation
One of Pakistan’s most influential clerics has renounced his previous support for polio immunisation, claiming that the programme was a cover for American spies, dealing a fresh blow to efforts to rid the world of the crippling virus.

Samiul Haq, nicknamed the father of the Taliban for his role in educating many of the Afghan students who rose up to capture Kabul in the 1990s, also offered foreign governments a chilling deal: end American drone strikes or leave children unprotected.

Pakistan is one of three countries where the disease remains endemic.

Bakistan appears again on slashdot
"Can drone strikes rid the world of terror groups? Many have argued that drones/UAVs seem to be a logical weapon of war: ground troops are not needed and strikes can be specifically targeted against terror-cell leaders (so-called 'decapitation strikes). Others have argued that such attacks only fuel more anger towards the United States and the West while also trampling on nations like Pakistan's sovereign rights and territory. Two recent studies published by Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government suggest 'On the basis of comprehensive analyses of data on multiple terrorist and insurgent organizations, these studies conclude that killing or capturing terrorist leaders can reduce the effectiveness of terrorist groups or even cause terrorist organizations to disintegrate.' It seems then drones and UAVs will be a weapon of war for a longtime to come."
The studies referred to are from this article at diplomat

Ascertain if India will allow cross-examination of 26/11 witnesses: Pak court | PTI

Pakistan makes it clear to us at every opportunity it gets that it will not act against the perpetrators of 26/11. How would it? Multiple witnesses, viz., Abu Jundal, David Headley, Ajmal Kasab etc. in different trials have pointed to Pakistani state elements involved in this horrendous act.

The problem that Indian govt. faces is a serious one. To understand that we must recognize that there is a consensus among Indian policymakers that we've to make peace with TSP. This feeling cuts across party lines. Even BJP says that we should talk to TSP after it acts on 26/11 without ever proposing how will it make Pakistan act against terror.

Dr. MMS learnt it the hard way that the stand that "we'll not talk to Pakistan till it acts against terrorists" has only met with partial success. Yes, we've adequately shamed the Pakis internationally but not enough to shame them into some action. Its probably not even possible to shame them into action since the killing of OBL inside their garrison town hasn't prompted them to change their ways, so there is little hope Indian dossiers can do anything better. The Prime Minister's Office, External Affairs Ministry and Home Ministry have all long concluded that the only way forward is to pursue the peace process. Their problem is that there is a strong opinion in India against talking peace with Pakistan as long as it's state sponsors terrorism.

Abu Jundal's revelation that he was sent to Saudi Arabia to recruit young impressionable Indian muslims to conduct terrorist operations in India even before the so called Thimphu bonhomie began is yet another reminder that Pakistan's one and only aim is acquire parity with India by weakening India and then seeking dispute resolution from its strongest position.

Having said that, the Pakistani establishment faces an even grimmer situation. It realizes that Pakistan is becoming increasingly weaker vis-a-vis India. What the Indian policymakers are missing is that this weakness will only reinforce in PA that the only tool available to it to keep reminding India to pay attention to its core issues is terrorism. The assumption that if India grew strong, Pakistan would start behaving sanely is unfounded.

Illegality of drones
RNI ki nishani,Green Snake named Noorani, Namak Khaye Hindustani, Phir be karre yeh Badnami. Sar pei topi lei Islami, Harami Dill hai Pakistani
The New America Foundation claims that 307 drone attacks in Pakistan from June 2004 to June 2012 have killed 1,562 to 2,377 suspected militants with an estimated civilian casualty rate of 16 per cent. And according to a July report in Newsline, the Bureau of Investigation Journalism based in London says there have been 327 drone strikes in Pakistan since 2004 killing between 2,464 and 3,148 people — 482 to 830 of whom were civilians, including 175 children — and injuring around 1,200.Heyns rightly characterised Alston’s report as “trail-blazing work”. Its 29 pages contain a rigorous study of the law and an exposure of its abuse. “Targeted killing is only lawful when the target is a ‘combatant’ or ‘fighter’ or, in the case of a civilian, only for such time as the person ‘directly participates in hostilities,’” Alston writes, quoting international law. “In addition, the killing must be militarily necessary, the use of force must be proportionate so that any anticipated military advantage is considered in light of the expected harm to civilians in the vicinity, and everything feasible must be done to prevent mistakes and minimise harm to civilians. These standards apply regardless of whether the armed conflict is between states (an international armed conflict) or between a state and a non-state armed group (non-international armed conflict), including alleged terrorists. Reprisals or punitive attacks on civilians are prohibited.”

The bloody Punjab partition — I — Ishitiaq Ahmed
http://dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?pa ... 2012_pg3_4
Mr Yasser Latif Hamdani’s comments on my book, The Punjab Bloodied, Partitioned and Cleansed (Oxford University Press, 2012) published in Daily Times on June 16, 2012 belittle and scandalise my work. He writes: “For all his barely concealed contempt for Jinnah, the Muslim League and the Pakistan demand, the central thrust of Ishtiaq Ahmed’s argument is that the tragedy of hundreds of thousands being butchered happened after Congress insisted (my emphasis) — and the Sikhs leaders supported (my emphasis) the Congress on that — on partitioning Punjab.”
A more misleading description of what I have done and demonstrated in my book cannot be imagined. I have argued just the opposite: the Sikhs demanded and the Congress belatedly supported them on the partitioning of Punjab. He has tried to occupy the high pedestal of a devotee of Jinnah, a defender of the Two-Nation Theory, a guardian of Pakistan, as if there is a dearth of Pakistani equivalents of Knight Templars.Through painstaking, unprecedented research, heavily documented by official documents, newspapers and hundreds of eyewitness accounts, I have shown that after the Muslim League demanded the creation of separate Muslim states in its Lahore Resolution of March 23, 1940, the Punjab Sikhs began to demand a partition of Punjab.

On the other hand, the Congress wanted a united India, and struggled for it from December 1929 onwards when it gave such a call in its famous Lahore session. Its leaders and cadres filled British jails for years. The May 1946 Cabinet Mission Plan was fraught with risks the Congress was not willing to take, notably one that every 10 years, the three groups of A, B and C could choose to opt out of the federation or even individual provinces could do so. Two, the fourth group outside them, the princely states could establish direct relations with external powers. It could mean the British being invited to remain with troops in those princely states; thus going out by one door and returning by another. With regard to Punjab, an even more crucial fact to be noted is that the Akali Sikhs and the Indian National Congress were estranged parties in Punjab until as late as 1945. During the Quit India Movement of 1942, their differences became even wider, because while the Congress wanted the British to leave India, the Sikhs who were employed in disproportionally large numbers in the Indian army were against it. The Congress’ support came for the partition of Punjab only on March 8, 1947.Consequently, the research puzzle the book seeks to solve is the following: why did the Sikhs, who were essentially a Punjabi group with their religion and history rooted in Punjab, opt for the partition of the province? What strategic mistakes did the Muslim League and Jinnah commit that the Sikhs did not join forces with them and kept Punjab united? A united Punjab — even if India were partitioned — would have served Sikh interests optimally. These questions I will address in my column next Sunday. In my book, I criticise Gandhi and Nehru where I believe they were in error. I duly acknowledge that Jinnah made a number of attempts to win over the Sikhs but such efforts came too late. I have shown that Sardar Patel was involved in financing bomb factories. He told the Sikhs, “Qatal kar do” (Kill them [Muslims]). He told the Hindus of Jullundur to kill and drive out Muslims, thus reversing Jawaharlal Nehru’s instruction given to them a few days earlier to protect the Muslims. I have quoted Begum Shahnawaz who has asserted that Nehru’s personal intervention in Batala in August-September 1947 prevented a slaughter of Muslims by armed Sikh jathas (groups). Mahatma Gandhi saved thousands of Muslims in Delhi in September 1947. As a scholar, my only responsibility is to conduct open research, devise a replicable method and make theoretical inputs that any other researcher can apply to the source material and decide if what I say is plausible or not. I am not a hagiographer of any idol, icon or saint. Hagiography is reverential homage to a cult figure, irrespective of what he has said and done. Most works of Pakistani authors on Jinnah are hagiographical. Scholarly analysis that looks at his role in history in an analytical manner is necessary to restore him to the world of human beings with all the strengths and weaknesses of human beings.

Pakistani cop kills sister for wearing jeans
LAHORE: A Pakistani policeman in Lahore allegedly shot dead his sister on Friday for wearing jeans, officials said on Saturday. Constable Asad Ali was unhappy with his sister Najma Bibi, 22, for wearing what he considered 'men's clothes', especially jeans.

The siblings often quarrelled over the issue. A few days ago, Ali had warned his sister that he would kill her if she did not stop wearing jeans and trousers. Subsequently, Najma filed a complaint against her brother at the police station in the Shahdara and sought protection. However , the police took no action.

According to the FIR, Ali followed Najma when she left the house on Friday and allegedly fired at her near Shahdara Morr, killing her instantly. Ali managed to escape and police are conducting raids.

WHO: polio worker shot, killed in Pakistan
A WHO local community worker who helped the anti-polio campaign in Pakistan has been shot and killed in Karachi. Immunization activities in Karachi were suspended this week after the previous incident where a UN vihicle was attacked by gunmen.
Looks like pure abduls from khyber to karachi are scared of polio campaigners. Why I ask? They dont want to follow sheikh's footsteps towards 72?

British Pakistani mother denies murdering daughter
A British Pakistani mother accused of suffocating to death her daughter, Shafilea Ahmed, for “defying her parents’ strict Pakistani culture” has denied playing any part in the killing.
Farzana, 49, said her husband Iftikhar, who allegedly held a plastic bag on the 17-year-old’s mouth until she stopped breathing, had been violent towards their daughter in the past. She had assured her eldest daughter that there was no arranged wedding waiting for her in Pakistan, Farzana told a jury at Chester Crown Court yesterday.
She offered her evidence in her native Punjabi, which was translated for the court by an interpreter. She told the jury about how she was brought up in a village in northeastern Pakistan until she was married by arrangement to Iftikhar, now 52, her first cousin, and that it was her husband who decided to move to Britain.
She insisted that it was her husband, a taxi driver, who made all decisions in the household matters – contradicting the evidence from her youngest daughter earlier this week that it was her mother who was in control.
Farzana and her husband both deny murdering Shafilea at the family home in Warrington, Cheshire, on September 11, 2003. They allegedly killed their daughter because they believed the sixth form college student had ashamed the family by hankering after a western lifestyle and refusing an arranged marriage with a distant relative.
However, Farzana changed her defence statement during the trial to suggest that she had come downstairs that night to see her husband beating Shafilea.
In the witness box, she said she knew little about her daughter knowing any boys beyond one incident where her husband intercepted a phone call from a male on Shafilea’s phone. She said he grabbed the phone and asked “Who are you?” Then, she said, her husband slapped Shafilea twice. Mukhtar Hussain, QC, for her defence, asked, “What effect did that have on Shafilea?” “Shafilea became scared,” she replied. She told the court that she knew nothing about any arrangment to marry Shafilea to the son of a distant relative in Pakistan. She also said she overheard one side of a conversation her husband was having with a man called Abdul Razak in Pakistan who wanted his son to marry Shafilea. She said her husband told him that “they were students, they are too young”. There was no subsequent discussion over what she had overheard, she said.
Farzana said that in February the family had planned to travel to Pakistan to visit her mother who had not seen the children for ten years and attend some family weddings. The trip had been postponed when Shafilea went missing for some days, she said. On her return to the family home, she said, she asked Shafilea why she had run away. The girl replied that she feared she was about to be married off in Pakistan, she said.

So long as 'Project Pakistan' exists, such dangerous sub-projects will continue to threaten India.

The Mohammadden holy month of Ramadan / Ramazan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan certainly seems to have started off with the proverbial bang with a string of demonstrations of the IEDology of Pakistan including the IED Mubarak variant.
