Pakistan’s military has rejected a report by Amnesty International accusing it of human rights abuses on the Afghan border (Why limit it to the afghan border), calling the allegations a “pack of lies and part of a sinister propaganda campaign” against the armed forces.
Barbero was discussing his efforts to sit down with the Fatima Group, the Pakistani company that makes the fertilizer that is used to make the explosive found in more than two-thirds of the improvised explosive devices that are the biggest killer of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
Despite repeated requests, Barbero said he has had only one meeting in 14 months with the Fatima Group over possible steps to curb its fertilizer’s flow into Afghanistan.
"More than 60% of U.S. combat casualties in Afghanistan, both killed and wounded in action, are the result of IEDs,” Barbero said. “This year, nearly 1,900 U.S. casualties have been caused by IEDs.”
In Delhi for a three-day visit, Pakistan interior minister Rehman Malik said that he has brought a message of peace to India. Stating that Pakistan has always condemned terrorism, Malik said that Pakistan was a victim of terror too, given that "40,000 innocent Pakistanis lost their lives due to terror".
However, Malik expressed satisfaction that the Indo-Pak ties were better now.
Further, stating that Ajmal Kasab's statement was not enough proof of Pakistan's hand in the Mumbai attacks, Malik said he would act on Hafiz Saeed if there was enough evidence.
Speaking about jawan Saurabh Kalia who was allegedly tortured by Pakistani solders during the Kargil war, he said that while he didn't know whether a Pakistani bullet killed Kalia, it was regrettable and he didn't want such incidents to be repeated. {Ack thoo}

HYDRA BAAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) chief Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi— Pir Pagara— said on Friday that his party supports a united Sindh and a united Pakistan, as he said, they want to see the nation and the country safe and prosperous.Addressing a public rally, Pir Pagara said they had joined the coalition government to resolve problems of people of Sindh. However, he said, when they felt that the government was not sincere in this regard, they decided to leave the coalition setup, adding that it was the matter of principles.This was the first speech of Pir Pagara to any political rally and so far the biggest public meeting of the PML-F against the newly established local government system in Sindh.Criticising the incumbent government, he said the sitting rulers have failed to give any relief to people of the country
Rashidi said, “Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has to live in Sindh and people of Sindh have to live with the MQM.” All people of the province, irrespective of what language they speak, are Sindhis, he said, adding that a political game was being played to compel MQM for sitting on opposition benches.
The PML-F chief also criticised the controversial Kalabagh Dam during his speach.

Lesson to Indian Netas, esp MMS & the likeNever agree to anything that Pakistan alleges.
Here everyone knows that the Pakistanis tortured and killed Maj Kalia and his troops. And everyone knows about Kasab-LET-ISI connection and that, and there is adequate proof of these incidints,
Rehaman Malik refuses to accept anything. Our big hearted PM in his naievity accepted, considered their Balochistan allegation.
In an interview to NDTV, Malik stated he had never compared the demolition of the Babri mosque to the 9/11 attacks or to the Mumbai attacks, adding that, his statements had been misunderstood.
Regarding the case of Saurabh Kalia, an officer in the Indian Army who had died during the Kargil War while being held as a prisoner of war by Pakistani security forces, the minister said he was “willing” to have the case investigated.
