Admission of state sponsored terrorism by Pakistani authorities

see this Der Spigel Interview where Musharraf admits to that.

On 7th Nov in TimesNow Channel, Tasneem Noorani, a former Secretary of the Pakistani Interior Ministry, openly said that.

Kiyani called the Haqqanis as strategic assets.

In Dec. 2008, President Zardari himself admitted to ISI helping LeT. He said,"The links between the Inter-Services Intelligence Agency and the LeT were developed in the old days when dictators used to run the country. After the 9/11 terror attacks in the US, things have changed to a great extent"

In an address to bureaucrats in July 2009, President Zardari said: "Militants and extremists were deliberately created and nurtured as a policy to achieve some short-term tactical objectives. Let us be truthful to ourselves and make a candid admission of the realities. The terrorists of today were the heroes of yesteryears until 9/11 occurred and they began to haunt us as well"

In Nov. 2009, Prime Minister Gilani admitted to the support for terrorism by Musharraf as "running with the hares and hunting with the hounds".

When Bush warned the Pakistanis in August 2008 of their support to Al Qaeda, Afrasiab Khattak, President of Awami National Party (ANP) said this: "The question is why it has taken the Americans so long to see what the ISI is doing. We’ve been telling them for years but they wouldn’t buy it.". See here.

In an interview to the BBC as far back as on Feb. 13, 1994, Benazir Bhutto admitted how she handed over to Rajiv Gandhi the complete list of Sikh activists colluding with the ISI in terrorism in the Punjab. Later, Nawaz Sharif described this interview as a faux pas.

Apart from these, of course, numerous Pakistani commentators, analysts, and editors have openly admitted to terror as a state policy.

Why Did Pakistan's Spy Chief Make a Secret Trip to China?
Quote:
Pasha's China trip has been interpreted by some as a tacit act of defiance—a reminder to his American counterparts that the Pakistanis can always look east to their “all-weather” friend across the Himalayas rather than bend the knee to the will of the U.S.

But it also may be a sign of China's growing disquiet with Pakistan. Another top-ranking Pakistani military officer, Lt. Gen Wahid Arshad, had already conducted a considerable tour of China just weeks ago in a bid to improve ties. A few analysts have suggested that Pasha's trip — couched in vague terms about building a “broad-based strategic dialogue” — may have been less a visit and more of a summons.
Quote:
Chinese officials claimed the attacks in Kashgar were authored by the shadowy East Turkestan Islamic Movement, a jihadist organization of mostly ethnic Uighurs, a Turkic Muslim minority that comprises the majority in the far-western Chinese region of Xinjiang. China routinely invokes the specter of the terrorist threat when cracking down on dissent in the restive region. Yet disturbances there tend to be triggered more often by social discontent — many Uighurs chafe at state policies they deem discriminatory and marginalizing — than militant connivance. Pasha's presence in Beijing may mark Beijing's continued efforts to root out Uighur dissidents and sympathizers beyond China's borders, as it has already done in Kazakhstan.

Bakistan is not a failed state
Pakistan certainly isn’t the only country where, in a span of hours, an infant can be bitten by a rat in a hospital nursery, and 16 people can die from consuming toxic cough medicine. This happened several weeks ago.

Yet, place these individual incidents alongside the unending onslaught of natural disaster, insurgency, terrorism, corruption, poverty, natural resource shortage, and disease. Now you can understand why so many Pakistanis suffer from PTSD, and are driven to desperate measures.

In 2008, in one of the most harrowing pieces of journalism I’ve ever read, Newsline’s Shimaila Matri Dawood wrote of Pakistanis murdering their children, jumping in front of trains, and setting themselves on fire —

Its a question of cost benefit analysis. Let me explain. You always have to remember that in "South Asia", US uses TSP against India and vice versa as the situation demands to get its interests met; and adhering to India TSP equal equal for the most, although the equal equal may be on different trajectores as the erudite Brahma Chellaney observed. Of course more often the former as India doesn't need much from TSP except stoppage of terror. So if a Modi's rise into national prominence creates an itch in TSP's rectum and they impress that on US, then US has enough "useful idiots" that US can bring to the fore in India itself, and they (US) may find it more beneficial to strangle him, than work with him.
[/quote]

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that if we start ignoring pakis they will team up with US and strangle Modi and hence India. I'm not sure why would US do it as even now we are not giving any considerable concessions to pakis - apart from routine pappi-jappi. Also the myth of US's ability to strangle India is blown out of proportion. What can they do? Surely they can't impose sanctions like Iran on us. They did try to do it in the past but we came off better. India'a might is only going to get better in future and US's influence, in best case, is going to remain as is on world arena for the foreseeable future. However they do have a hold on pakis and if they want they can let them loose on India. But then, if the largest democracy of the world has to rely on US for its security then it is not an ideal situation, isn't it? We must change that situation before anything else. ABV did a tremendous job in this regard by doing op Parakram and giving statements like Aar-Paar Ki Ladai. Such strong stance should be enough to deter pak from doing any large scale misadventure. The reason they did Taj was because they saw a weak govt in Dilli which was hell bent to hunt down "saffron terrorists". They hoped to unstable India by this move. But as always, their "masterful tactics" didn't work out. The rest is the history.

Gagan has a point. India might be doing these pappi-jappi as a state policy just to evade terrorism from TSP. What happens when we start ignoring them is a matter of speculation. But I don't think they have stopped exporting terrorism in India because of our policy but it's because of US's pressure on them. US wants them to fight against taliban so they don't want to leave any excuse for TSP to guard against India. Our policy has hardly anything to do with that. And genuine desire for peace with pakis? If that is really the case then some day, ostriches will start giving examples of Indian policy makers. Hell they can't live with lesser pure ones, forget about kaffirs.

IMO the policy should be to ignore TSP. If they do any misadventure then take very aggressive stance. Just look at the military spending of pakis after op Parakram. If one such op can take them to the edge of bankruptcy and subsequently to the edge of civil war (mainly due to military supremacy and lack of development in the country), imagine what would happen if we did another one after 26/11. We need one Parakram every decade to keep pakis into 72-nagar forever.

Sridhar, To my knowledge the ASWJ is not Barelvi but is Deobandi. The ASWJ is the banned Sipah e Sahaba with a new name. The Berelvi umbrella organisation is the Sunni Tehreek.

Meanwhile the ASWJ is blaming the Shia Mohammaddens for this hit:

^^^ So true.

Typical of the Mohammadden Terrorist supporting ways of the Republic of Pakistan that a membe of a banned organisation such as the ASWJ gets a Police escort  :
Attack on ASWJ leader sparks violent protests in Karachi

“At least four policemen, a guard and a driver were killed in firing by unknown gunmen,” senior police official Shahid Hayat told AFP.

Karachi police chief Iqbal Mehmood confirmed the attack and casualties and said that initial investigations showed that the gunmen were on a motorcycle, and the policemen who were killed had been escorting Farooqui.

arun & Rangudu, thanks. Of course, you are right. I was confused by Jama'at Ahl-e-Sunnat (JAS) which is based in Karachi and a Berelvi umbrella organization. OTOH, Ahl-e-Sunnat-wal-Jama'at is the new name for SSP.

The militant wing of JAS is Sunni Tehreek. Their greatest mystical saint is, Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gilani, one of whose direct descendants is ex-Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. Ahle Sunnat-Barelvis usually have names ending with Qadri to show their devotion to the great saint. It was one such Qadri who assassinated Salman Taseer and the Berelvi organization rallied behind him and the other sects allowed the Berelvis to take the lead in supporting and praising the assassin Qadri.

Book - Muslim Zion: Pakistan as a Political Idea
Muslim Zion argues that Pakistan has never been a nation-state, grounded in the historic connections of lands and peoples. Just as Israel is the only Jewish state, Pakistan is the only Muslim state to make religion the sole basis of its nationality. Faisal Devji offers a penetrating critique of founding a state on nothing but the idea of belonging.

Muslim Zion? In fact Pakistan is the anti-Zion.

Where the people abjure the spiritual connection with their ancestral land, abandon their religion and disparage their culture for a self-willed identification with a anti-Zion in the desert.

Indeed. As I said, I boycotted this crap, but did learn from cricinfo that our boys got a sound thrashing (not a bad outcome if people loose interest in this tamasha), and to rub salt to the would, here is a Paki saying more kirket is needed to create "goodwill". And look at his audacity, he holds India's complaints (even the feeble, perfunctory ones from MMS) on 26/11 with TSP complaints that their players are not in IPL. This is the state of affairs

Rehman Malik saheb came here a few days back and equated 26/11 with Babri Mosque destruction. Now, this blogger has gone a few steps ahead and equated IPL with 26/11. Pakis keep expanding the envelope all the time. For example, Ayub Khan believed only in 1:10, but Ms. Bhutto raised it to 1:100. Allah-o-Akbar.

At least if they did the mandatory lungi test, and since no Muslim can kill another Muslim as Islam is a religion of peace, they could have squarely blamed Mossad if he had passed the test. If he had failed the test, that would have been a toss up between CIA and R&AW but since the latter are SDREs onlee and since the dead terrorist was fair complexioned they could have identified it as a CIA operation. Now, they are groping in the dark as to which one of the three actually did this heinous act.

At the risk of sounding conspiratorial, me thinks there could be a CIA haath in this company Teradata investing in Pakistan

http://tribune.com.pk/story/484291/buck ... -pakistan/
KARACHI: Pakistan was not on the radar of global technology companies back in the day when they rushed into India in search of affordable and competent human resources.

But Teradata was an exception. An American company, which provides analytic data solutions like integrated data warehousing, big data analytics and business applications, Teradata invested heavily in Pakistan despite reluctance from within the company, according to Chief Technology Officer Stephen A Brobst.

“I was one of the people pushing for (investing in Pakistan). Everybody was running to India, which is bigger and certainly more advanced technologically. But Pakistanis are more agile with technology compared to Indians,” he told a select group of journalists on Monday.
The first client of Teradata in Pakistan was the government itself. It helped the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) build a repository of data for all citizens, which is now being used for multiple purposes.
With a staff of over 500 people in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, Teradata now maintains a “significant presence” in Pakistan, says Brobst.
Teradata also manages its Afghanistan and Bangladesh operations from Pakistan. “We are focusing on growing Bangladesh now. Sri Lanka is a potential next step. We’re doing some business in Afghanistan already, but it’s not nearly as mature as Pakistan,” he says.

Aditya, not most, I think. But, CIA & ISI have become 'tight buddies' once again, I thought.

This weekend His Holiness Sh. Tahir ul-Qadri addressed a huge rally at Minar e Pakhana-stan, where he practiced the most important magical art of balaaghah (eloquent rhetoric for mass hypnotism) - an essential subject of training of any 'alim and sufi. His disciples, who are everywhere, described this celestial event as follows on the largest Londonistani portal:
Finally a ray of light and hope. The coming days will be tough for Pakistanis, but what happens there now will determine the fate of the rest of the muslim world.

Shaykh Tahir ul Qadri speaking to a crowd of 2 million ppl. A long march of 4 million going to Islamabad in January if a caretaker government is not brought to implement and restore the constitution.

Frustrating to see Indian media ignore news like this -

http://bnchr.com/english/news/13-mashka ... t-two-days
Mashkay under siege for last two days: Hundreds including women and children injured in military offensive.

Occupied Balochistan (25/12/12): Mashkay town of Balochistan is besieged by the Pakistani military for last 48 hours. According to details more than 50 vehicles of Pakistani military have besieged the entire area and started indiscriminate firing. Shelling by the military artillery is continued till the filling of this report. Gunship helicopters are firing upon the civilian settlements. Hundreds of the innocents Baloch have been injured including women and children. Mother of veteran Baloch leader Dr.Allah Nazar Baloch is among the injured too. Entire Mashkay town is cordoned off by the military and medics are not allowed to rescue the innocents.

Military has torched the several houses and almost half the town is turned into ashes.

International media is not given access in the area while Pakistani media is criminally silent upon this deadly episode of Baloch genocide. International community is appealed to take immediate notice of the situation. Urgent steps are needed to save the lives of hundreds of Balochs in Mashkay town.
When will Paki oppression of the people of occupied Balochistan make it to the headlines in Indian media?

It's an orchestrated chorus of voices trying to promote piss and harmomium- Pakistanis trying to get legitimacy and using, who else but India to do it.

There was a report a few days ago that PCB Maulener -In-Chief Zaka Do Taka, now wants a return tour by India next year. To return what, the favour he's done us by landing his XI Mujahids to play cricket in India?

http://www.hindustantimes.com/Cricket/C ... 79487.aspx
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf has sought a meeting with the BCCI officials during the New Delhi ODI in the upcoming series to discuss if India can visit Pakistan for a return series in August next year.
Expect a few more pissfull opinions to flood the media over the coming weeks, culminating in an orgasm of South Asian brotherhood at the end of this series.

By 'restoring the constitution', he means 'implementation of sharia'h. Many people mistakenly think Berelvis in Pakistan are mild-mannered.

Isn't this particular Qadri a Sufi per wiki? How does that reconcile with Barelvi? In any case both are bull cattle per wahabarianism so I guess no need to break our head.... He must have been assigned a soosai or a suitable sun roof lever already
