Also if you see the match fixing allegations against Pakistani players Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir -- they actually went to UK to face a criminal court which sentenced them to Jail and they actually served sentences.

The thing I found quite odd was that why would Pakistani citizens be convicted in a UK court? Also why did they have to show up in court? They could have refused, UK has no extradition treaty with Pakistani (and even if they did, match fixing is quite low in the list of things Pakis are upto in UK). They could have sent their lawyers to answer charges instead of showing up in person.

I have a suspicion that they are in fact UK citizens (or dual citizens), and they went there as the citizenship was probably more important than Jail time.

^^ halaalgoogoling is going to generate halaal patterns in wild wild peacelands of bakistan. Top down approach for beards and peas according to laws of Islam. Guborious lands of bakistan will now surely have only halal information out of bad interwebs.

It is like do what you do and call it either halaal if it's beneficial or blame it on conspiracy and bull cattle as halaal practice only.

Good point, Anujan. So, how long before these Pakis insist on being selected into the Indian team - they already are demanding access to Indian leagues such as IPL.

India confirms Singh-Sharif meeting on sidelines of UNGA

May be He can ask Nawaz to Endorse him for next election

NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in September, Indian foreign office sources said.
The Indian government has begun making preparations for the meeting of the two Prime Ministers, and a confirmation had been given to Nawaz Sharif’s envoy Shaharyar Khan who was in Delhi earlier this week.
Analysts were divided on whether the meeting would result in the revival of the composite dialogue, what structure the dialogue would take and whether the Indian PM would visit before the Indian elections scheduled for May 2014.
Although the India’s Prime Minister Office (PMO) has confirmed a meeting days after Pakistan proposed it, what the dynamics will be are yet to be seen.
The internal and domestic perceptions of such a meeting will be, overall, more important than the international repercussions. The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party is waiting to see how Pakistan will engage India and whether or not to make this an election issue. The Singh-Gandhi team is determined to avoid a defensive appearance in its foreign policy. How the meetings will be structured is still being worked out, and whether Singh will meet US President Barack Obama after his meeting with Nawaz Sharif is not yet known. At his Brunei meeting with Khurshid, Aziz said that India must seize the initiative at its top level to improve relations as he renewed Nawaz Sharif’s invite or Singh to visit Pakistan.Khurshid had responded by saying that it was now time to show ‘specific steps’ for forward movement in Indo-Pak relations.

Enquiring Islamic minds of TSP want to know the responses of halaal googling for random musings like:

1. Islam's position on man woman intercousre
2. How to be gay and happy as a Muslim
3. Animal husbandary and reproduction
4. Mating practises of donkeys
5. Man versus camel encounters
6. Rape punishment for Muslim women
7. Minimum age requirement to have sex according to Islamic traditions
8. Dating Muslim friends with benefits
9. Are Ahmedis non Muslim?
10. How will houris in heaven satisfy needs?
11. Grooming techniques for white British girls
12. Non violence in Islam
13. How long can meat be safely left uncovered?
14. Anti oxidant propeties of wine
15. Blasphemy incidents against Islam and its prophet and burning of the Quran

etc....

Will these questions be blocked or will they be workarounds?

Will Q15 cause the Islamic PRISM to automatically flag it as blasphemy? (Islamic PRISM program is the Peaceful Religion of Islam Social Monitoring)

First, Jinnah claimed that the word 'India' actually belonged to Pakistan after partition. Various claims like that have since been made on land, water, civilization, music, language, and now cricket etc. The idea is either to claim ownership or an entitlement. A debutant Pakistani actress lays claims for Bollywood.

"Our cultural heritage and stories are so deeply rooted that it is only natural to relate to the cinema being made here. . . In fact I would say that Bollywood and Pakistan have an age-old relationship."
Pakistani music has a vast listenership in India.

partha, you are a kafir obviously and therefore let me explain. It was Pakistan that existed before and India was created later. Don't you know about the Indus Valley civilization ? Where do you think it existed ? Where does the Indus river flow ? Who united and ruled this country ? The Moghuls. Who are they ?

In some languages "HaGoo-gele" means going to Bakistan. Very intuitive only.

http://tribune.com.pk/story/573935/search-for-alternatives-pakistan-to-seek-drone-technology-from-us/

The government will soon formally request the United States to transfer drone technology as part of the diplomatic efforts seeking an end to the stalemate over the CIA-led campaign in Pakistan’s tribal areas. A senior government official, who is engaged with the US on the subject, told The Express Tribune that preliminary discussions between the two countries to find alternatives to drone use have already started.

What is the alternative to drone that's being discussed? US alerts Pak security forces about location of terrorists and Pak forces alert the terrorists?

Drones are probably the Paki pound of flesh they want to facilitate Unkil pullout from Afghanistan. Then subsequent drone attacks by Unkil can be passed off as Paki attacks. Pakis will also attack their own bad taliban with their own drones.

Pakis have been demanding US hand over of drone technology since the first drone strike. Pakis were in a better position to blackmail at the height of WoT before Pakis were caught with their pants down when Osama was hunted down. When US didn't give drones then, what makes Pakis believe they will be given now? These renewed demands are just for mango abduls' consumption.

^^^Pakees probably are taking US overtures to facilitate a smooth withdrawal in 2014 as a sign of weakness and want to extract as much as they can before that... US seems to be a lot smarter than before... Even this current IMF loan seems more to facilitate repayment of past loans rather than any new infusion of funds!!! we will have to wait and see... the first test would be the disposal of excess equipment in Afghanistan.

US should gift Pakistan with drone technology as Drone is the national bird of Pakistan.

Besides, US SHOULD also :
1. Transfer stealth helicopter like the ones use in Abottabad
2. Surveillance and listening technology used on the Sheikh
3. NSA PRISM data mining technology.
4. Equip the TSPAF with C17s, B2s, JSF and Chinooks
5. Civil nuclear deal
6. Force India to solve Kashmir per the wishes of the people of Pakistan
7. Nuclear attack submarines to fight terrorists in Peshawar
8. Make Pakistan whole for the $100 B lost due to the WOT
9. Provide SEAL and DELTA forces training for TSPA.
10. Nuclear aircraft carrier

Not providing the above will only strengthen the hands of the extremists. Pakistan is a peaceful, moderate, democracy with a vibrate free media and the only Islamic Nuclear Weapons state, with the fastest growing nuclear arsenal. Pakistan is the major Non-NATO ally of the US in the war on terror.

Coming to a multi-plex near you (in 3D and surround sound): ‘Main houn Afridi’ (I am Afraidi).

A Baki film inspired by the fairytale career of cricket star Shahid Afridi
a heart-warming tale of raw talent
cost around $1 million to make
country's best-loved cricketers
is about a young boy who dreams of becoming as great as the cricket star and chronicles the ordeal he faces
Producer Humayun Saeed, a top actor in Pakistan, initially persuaded Afridi to take the lead role, but the 33-year-old said (in deep echoing voice) it violated the traditions of his tribe
my elders didn't let me act as it is against our traditions

That's right folks. Seen on the big or small screen with a young boy who wants to be like you violates one of the most important tenets of al kitab and pakhtooniyat traditions: "Thou shalt not disclose one of our exalted traditions in public"

will be released in......the Gulf and in India

How can you miss it. Enjoy!

Yep, the same traditions that required him to bite into a cricket ball like a retard(in front of the camera and act as if nothing happened when questioned) and tamper the pitch(again like a retard in front of the cameras)

Osama moved to Pakistan in mid-2002, report says
Osama bin Laden's family had entered into Pakistan way back in October/November 2001, just around 9/11 while the then al-Qaida chief joined them in Peshawar in mid-2002, a media report today said quoting the findings of the Abbottabad Commission Report.

During the search for this man, CIA provided four phone numbers between "2009 to Nov 2010" to Pakistan but without any details as to who they were searching for, a source privy to the report's details was quoted as saying.

The daily reported that that these numbers "most of the time remained off" but while the ISI kept the CIA in the loop it did so "without knowing the context and to whom these numbers belonged".

^ What is new ? Didn't one of his wives say that they had lived [along with Osama] for 9 years in TSP and OBL had four children born to him in TSP hospitals during that productive period ?

This must be the biggest joke. It was the ISI that arranged safe houses (at least 5) during those 9 years and they didn't know to whom those phones belonged ? the ISI arranged for midwives, gynaecologists, nurses, hospitalization and dialysis [for OBL]. Either the Americans are defending the ISI by spinning a story or the Americans were taken for a royal ride or both.

There are many moving part in TSP and which work independently.
One part does not know the other part and society is also split in similar ways. That is how they could hide OBL for so long

ISI has a habit of working in small cells who are delegated a specific task. This is to keep info from leaking. There is no direct oversight or appraisal but they are facilitated through divisional heads, they don't report directly to them though.

Hunting with the hounds and running with the hares

is a wrong metaphor.

The Pakis were taking money from the hounds and protecting the Mad Hatters(hares) with that money.

Rentier state's meddling by Saudi, oil patronage for nuke, 'import' policy
Pakistani authorities were very nervous about these developments, which went on a par with an increasing mutual dependence in the domain of energy, since India has become the fourth-largest customer of the Saudis for oil (after Iran lost ground on the Indian list because of sanctions).(that didn't stop pukis from begging for gas from India)
..
As early as October 2008, a few weeks after the election of Asif Zardari as president, the deputy chief of mission of Pakistan in Riyadh told his opposite number of the American embassy that the Saudi government would not help Pakistan (which eventually got only $300 million of aid in 2008) and would be "waiting for the Zardari government to fall" (US embassy cable dated October 16, 2008 revealed by WikiLeaks). The Saudis had no confidence in Zardari, who, they suspected, was a Shia :rotfl: (ibid April 9, 2009).
..
since the 1970s, as the Saudi ambassador to the US, Adel al-Jubeir, once said, Saudis "are not observers in Pakistan, we are participants". Indeed, Riyadh keeps interceding and mediating not only between the US and Islamabad but also between the Pakistani army and the civilians (everyone meddles in independent pukis' internal affairs)
..
Nawaz has been a creature :rotfl: of Zia-ul-Haq, the man who promoted the rapprochement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia even more than Z.A. Bhutto (who initiated the process though). In the 1980s, Zia armed and trained the mujahideen fighting the Soviets with the financial support of the Saudis (and the US) and launched an Islamisation policy that was implicitly directed against the Shias at a time when Khomeini intended to export the Iranian Revolution.(rentier state ka matlab kyaa?)
..
In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Benazir Bhutto and "her"(why the quotes??) chief of army staff, Mirza Aslam Beg, had somewhat irritated the Saudis, first, by refusing to withdraw the Shia soldiers :rotfl: from the soil of Saudi Arabia where up to 20,000 of them had been stationed so far (as a result, the total number of troops was drastically reduced) and, two, by refusing to take part in the Gulf War against Iraq. Nawaz restored good relations with the Saudis during his second term.(how? By removing Shia soldiers somehow?) While A.Q. Khan, the father of the Pakistani bomb, had dealt with the Iranians — who were already eager to become nuclear — in the 1980s, Nawaz turned to the Saudis. In 1998, Riyadh assured Islamabad that Pakistan would get the support of Saudi Arabia if its nuclear test resulted in international sanctions. According to Abdul Sattar, foreign minister of Pakistan from 1999 to 2002, the Saudis provided 100,000 barrels of oil daily on a deferred payment basis — this assistance amounting to $500 million a year was converted into a grant after five years.(so much for 'international' sanctions on pukis and obviously no sanctions on nuke coveting Saudis) In exchange, Nawaz invited then Saudi defence minister, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, to tour secret nuclear facilities in May 1999 — they visited (together with A.Q. Khan) the Kahuta uranium enrichment plant and an adjacent factory where the Ghauri missile is assembled.
..
Not only do rumours (again propagated by US embassy cables) mention that his daughter got married to a grandson of King Fahd (probably before he died in 2005), but Sharif was "favoured with reserved prayer space in the Prophet's Mosque in Medina". He also received authorisation — and some financial support — to start a business in Jeddah.
..
While several Pakistani (the Amriki author missed terror word here?) organisations, including the Lashkar-e-Toiba(without any 'international' sanctions), raise money primarily in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh expects a clear anti-terrorist policy from Islamabad. That was probably the message the Saudis wanted to convey when they extradited Abu Jundal to India. Nawaz should be in a position to deliver on that front. The fact that he wants to negotiate with the Afghan Taliban should also be to the liking of the Saudis (who, along with Pakistan and the UAE, were the only ones to recognise the Taliban regime in Kabul in 1996).
..
The energy crisis in Pakistan is such that, in his "national energy policy"(there is one - to import for free?) that has just been finalised, Sharif has announced that Pakistan will have to import 1,000 MW of electricity from Iran (as much as from India, by the way). The Saudis may object, saying that Pakistan should help to isolate Iran, and offer an alternative energy package.(how civilized is that, playing Shia Sunni game in the Indian subcontinent) But Pakistan may resist this kind of pressure, and may even continue to promote the idea of an Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline in order to maintain a channel of communication with an important neighbour (especially at a time when the border province of Balochistan is in turmoil) — and also in order to balance one country against another. Pakistan has already played that game in the past with larger powers — the former USSR, the US and China. It can play it between Iran and Saudi Arabia today in an interesting context — the closer to the bomb Iran is, the more Saudi Arabia needs Pakistan. Islamabad, eventually, may be asked by Riyadh to install some of its missiles (possibly with nuclear warheads) on its soil in order to resist the Iranian threat. And such a deployment will not be for free. We knew that Pakistan was a geopolitical rentier state :rotfl: because of its position between Afghanistan (of American interest) and India (of Chinese interest). Now, it may also be a rentier state because of its border with Iran (of Saudi interest).

Indians must think how to not be dependent on Saudis who fund LeT and bankroll nukes of pukis.

Alternative explanations:

a) UK court has jurisdiction because the match fixing happened in UK.

b) They showed up because absconding would mean they could never play international cricket again.

Pak targets Indian soldiers during rescue operation in Kashmir

Doing what they do best , attacking like cowards

Violating the truce, Pakistani troops on Monday fired at Indian soldiers while they were trying to evacuate two porters who were wounded in a blast, triggered by suspected militants, along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

In May, porters were intercepted and assaulted by some Border Action Team (BAT) personnel from across the border who also snatched supplies from them.

Last week, the army had foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of militants who were provided cover fire by Pak troops in Poonch district.

Earlier this month, a Pakistani intruder, trying to cross over to India, was killed when the IED he was carrying went off.

SSridhar wrote:^ What is new ? Didn't one of his wives say that they had lived [along with Osama] for 9 years in TSP and OBL had four children born to him in TSP hospitals during that productive period ?

During the search for this man, CIA provided four phone numbers between "2009 to Nov 2010" to Pakistan but without any details as to who they were searching for, a source privy to the report's details was quoted as saying. The daily reported that that these numbers "most of the time remained off" but while the ISI kept the CIA in the loop it did so "without knowing the context and to whom these numbers belonged".

The drama about Osama reminds of drama about Hafiz Saeed with 10 million bounty for information of his whereabouts!! :-o
