I really like this, a Civvy Yindu dismissing a former Vice Marshal of Shitistan thus:"A false quote attributed to me in a Pakistani newspaper, The News International, by one Shahzad Chaudhry"Brahma Chellaney @Chellaney 13m
Fabrication: A false quote attributed to me in a Pakistani newspaper, The News International, by one Shahzad Chaudhry
Shazad Chaudhary and Shahid Lateef are bother former Vice Marshals and are like Hamid Gul very frustrated for having been bypassed for the top job. These two have nothing better to do these days then to participate on various paki tv talk shows and verbal vomit BS all day long. Both have claimed conspiracy on Puki Talk Shows at not having made Chief Air Marshal. One guy said that he was bypassed as he prevented graft of 250 Million US $ in the purchase of F16's and the other claimed that becuase he was instrumental in having the Thunder Bandar developed he was prevented from becoming Air Chief by lobbies working for Dushman.

This is another propaganda article of lies by a Pakistani. Zia-ul-Haq has been made a convenient peg to hang their Islamist coat on whenever it was required. The idea that these people want to imprint on gullible and willing minds is that the Pakistanis are secular by nature and it was the act of a single mad man that has turned Pakistan into a nightmare that it is today and that the process is reversible. The truth is otherwise. Everyone, from Aga Khan to Raja of Mehmudabad to Nawab of Pataudi to Allama Iqbal to Jinnah to Mawdudi to Shaykh Usmani to ZAB (and others) have contributed to this project. Some more and some a little less, but not very less. Even BB and Nawaz Sharif have done their bits. Of course, each one of the above would give a 'valid' reason why they pandered to Islamism and extremism, but the effect has been the same. It is unfair to others therefore, to only praise Zia leaving out the rest.pankajs wrote:Zia ul-Haq's legacy in Pakistan 'enduring and toxic'
Zia is an obscure figure ? He is eulogized as the architect of the dissolution of the USSR through the Bear Trap.In the West, Zia is an obscure figure . . .
It goes on to say,
Founding laws were secular ? BS. When was the Objectives Resolution passed ? Within six months of Jinnah's death. What kind of arguments were put forward by Shaykh Usmani who proposed and the leaders of non-Muslim minority groups who opposed ?. . . the country’s founding laws are secular, dating back to British rule.

This is all because they want India to help them to take care of Pak istanMurthyB wrote:Uneven Cohen drops his brilliant bits of horse wisdom to a school boy from Tehelka about India-Shitland relations. Around 8:30 he talks about a "dual strategy" that involves strat-e-gy experts at the top, and actual kandle kissers at the bottom to affect change that will enable normalization. Also produces a new insight about India that it has an "inferiority complex" vs Shitland; this is based on his earlier statement that a minority in India sees Pakistan as a failed state and wants nothing to do with them.
But India is not budging.

Paki's are failing in the spin (pun intended) department.Instead of "PCB fails to earn Rs 700m during India ODI series" their press statement should have been Pakistan disallows Evil Bania India to give it Rs 700m.He said that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to share any revenue from the limited over series which was the first bilateral contest between the two nations since 2007 and was held in India.

Pak plant on NTPC agenda
New Delhi, Aug. 26: The government has asked power utility NTPC Ltd to consider a joint venture project in Pakistan on the lines of a plant it is building in Bangladesh.
“We have been asked by the government to consider a power project in Pakistan. We will study the issue and if it works out, set up an electricity plant on the same lines as our projects in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka,” said Arup Roy Choudhury, chairman of NTPC, in an interview to The Telegraph.
Islamabad had earlier tried to buy 500 megawatts and gas from India, sending several delegations to hammer out an agreement.

ISLAMABAD:
In a bid to avoid a potential financial default, Pakistan will seek $12 billion in loans from international financial institutions to retire its previous debts and to try its luck with international and domestic bond markets to finance its mega projects.
Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the fresh loans would be secured over the next three years. The loans would protect the government against international debt obligations for three years, he added.
However, he claimed that the fresh loans would not increase the overall debt stock.
According to the finance ministry, the debt-to-GDP ratio is already nearing 63.5%, far above the legally permissible limit of 60% of GDP. In the past five years, the country obtained loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, Asian Development Bank and Islamic Development Bank.
Finance Minister Dar said Pakistan met all prior actions for a $6.6 billion IMF bailout programme while the last action has been met by half and the rest would be implemented by the State Bank of Pakistan very soon.
The IMF Executive Board will meet on Sept 4 to approve the loan, he added. “In the first year, the IMF will give $2.2 billion to Pakistan while Islamabad is scheduled to pay back over $3 billion,” he added.

ISI promised Dawood Ibrahim protection, shelter if he invested 30% of his earnings to fund terror
Tunda has confirmed Ibrahim's three addresses in Pakistan, including two in Karachi and one in Islamabad.
The two addresses in Karachi include his "White House" -- a Clifton Road mansion -- as reported by Headlines Today last year. The other house of the D-Company boss was located in the highly secured Defence Housing Area at Khayaban Tanzeem.
Dawood has also been provided a shelter in the national capital's Margalla Road area. The Indian intelligence agencies have these three addresses of Ibrahim in Pakistan.
So paklurkers effectively your ISI is a terrorist pimp.Sources also made a startling revelation about the Indian fugitive's link with Pakistani rogue spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). According to them, the ISI promised Ibrahim protection and sanctuary if he invested at least 30 per cent of his earnings to fund terror activities.
The revelations, which come from Tunda's sustained interrogation, belie Pakistan government's repeated denials that Ibrahim has taken shelter there and ISI's direct involvement in terror activities in India.

From here:Sex between men occurs in some very public places - including, surprisingly, Karachi's busiest shrine.
Families go to the Abdullah Shah-Ghazi shrine to honour the holy man buried there and to ask for God's blessings, but it is also Karachi's biggest cruising ground.
Every Thursday evening, as the sun sets, men from across the city gather there. A tightly packed circle is formed and those in the centre of the circle are groped by those on the periphery.
To outsiders it looks like a writhing mass of men huddling around one another. Some even describe it as a "mysterious religious ceremony". For participants, it's anonymous group sex.

In Zia’s defence
All “liberals” from our neck of the woods come together every August 17 in condemnation of a man who enforced Islam in a country that was created in the name of Islam .
Ziaul Haq’s foreign policy was pretty much a continuation of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s diplomatic endeavours. The military intervention under him and the coup d’etat in 1977 was a continuation of the legacy of Iskander Mirza, Ayub Khan and Yahya Khan and the corollary of Pakistan’s status as an “armoured buffer” in a volatile region. His domestic policy and the dictatorial stranglehold over the country which led to political victimisation – courtesy Martial Law Regulation No 53 and Article 58 2(b) of the Constitution – and persecution of journalists and citizens, is a part and parcel of an authoritarian regime. Zia wasn’t the first military nut-head to pulverise democracy in Pakistan, and he wasn’t the last. Most of his schemes had precedents; most of his acts were either continuations from previous legacies or trendsetters for those that followed him and most of his steps bore the quintessence of the brand of government that he put on the table – barring one: Islamisation of Pakistan.
So it wasn’t Muhammad Ali Jinnah the man who used religion – or the religious identity of a particular community, depending which brand of history you read – for a separatist movement who laid the foundation of a religiously bigoted county. Nor was it Allama Iqbal whose Mard-e-Momin was an Islamist to the core or Liaquat Ali Khan whose Objectives Resolution pretty much was the funeral of religious minorities’ hopes in Pakistan. And of course it couldn’t have been Bhutto, the secular, liberal, socialist under whose premiership the Ahmadis were officially declared non-Muslims in 1974. It is Zia, whose religiosity seems to pinch the liberals the most. Zia, the man who put a full-stop to the ideological cherry picking that is the favourite vocation of our liberals, and helped sort out the contradictory mess that his predecessors had created to give Pakistan its only logical identity – that of a true Islamic state.
Let’s suppose that Jinnah did actually strive to create a secular state, and the ensuing massacre on both sides of the Indo-Pak divide was owing to the economic insecurities of the Muslims, it’s still Jinnah’s ostensible word against Allah’s unalterable word as Pakistan continues soul searching for its raison d’etre. Allah quite obviously asks for an Islamic state even if Jinnah might have wanted a secular one. And ladies and gentlemen, the man that that gave precedence to Allah’s unambiguous orders over Jinnah’s apparent desires is being dubbed the bad guy here.

Rescue scheme: Govt to borrow $12 billion to retire previous debts
ISLAMABAD : In a bid to avoid a potential financial default, Pakistan will seek $12 billion in loans from international financial institutions to retire its previous debts and to try its luck with international and domestic bond markets to finance its mega projects.

The IMF Executive Board will meet on Sept 4 to approve the loan, he added. “In the first year, the IMF will give $2.2 billion to Pakistan while Islamabad is scheduled to pay back over $3 billion,” he added.
Showing concerns over the low level of foreign exchange reserves, Dar said the government could not survive on the same reserves as after arranging funds for three years, it would need to find ways to increase the reserves.
Without disclosing the amount, Dar said Pakistan would launch exchangeable bonds in the international market to build reserves.
He said the government was also planning launching ‘infrastructure sovereign bonds’ to raise money for mega development projects. The government has already announced to enlist treasury bonds at the stock market.
The minister vowed that the government would observe financial restraint. In the first month of the new financial year, the government almost remained within the budgetary targets, Dar added.

PPP government budget deficit
Announcing the budget deficit for the fiscal year 2012-13, Dar said the deficit remained at Rs1.835 trillion or 8% of GDP. Against the total income of Rs2.982 trillion, all federal and provincial governments spent Rs4.816 trillion, showing a gap of Rs1.835 trillion.
On the eve of budget, the Pakistan Peoples Party government announced a budget deficit of Rs1.1 trillion or 4.7% of GDP. After taking over the finance ministry, Dar had claimed that the PPP government’s last year budget deficit would surge to Rs2.014 trillion or 8.8% of GDP.
Dar said less development expenditures by federal and provincial governments and Rs54 billion savings by the four provinces resulted in 8% deficit against revised estimates of 8.8%. He said the federal development spending remained at Rs344 billion against allocation of Rs360 billion while the combined development spending by four provinces remained at just Rs371 billion. The finance minister said the federal budget deficit remained at 8.2% of GDP or Rs1,890 against the annual target of 5% of GDP.

Ah, finally get what malsi means. Pretty sure it has been posted here before, but here it is nevertheless. Jinnah's Pakistan
I think this is worth being a part of that first permanent post that decorates every new thread on Pakistan. Why would someone who believed in religious coexistence marry a Parsi woman who had to convert just so she could marry him, and then go onto scream bloody murder when his own daughter married a non-Muslim? ....
Why would he expect the minorities in Pakistan to play a positive role in the newly formed state’s unity, when he had failed to do so himself by leading a separatist movement in United India?
Re: Terrorist Islamic Republic of Pakistan - Aug 21, 2013
^ Many many years back on a Yahoo forum if IIRC i started this Malsi business..i thought it would catch up then. Was surprised when after so many years it surfaced here. I don't know if this is an independent effort..but i know i started that eons back.

The widespread hunger and malnutrition in Pakistan is threatening the future of Pakistan where her children, the most vulnerable in any society, are exposed to severe malnutrition and other challenges that follow. Pakistan National Nutrition Survey for 2011, which was sponsored by UNICEF and conducted by the Agha Khan University, reveal that Pakistan’s state and society has failed miserably to even feed the children. The survey revealed that because of prevalent malnutrition, 44 per cent children under five years old in Pakistan are stunted. These children in the future are unlikely to attain the same height as of the non-stunted children. Thus, fifteen years down the road, almost half of Pakistan’s youth will not even be as tall as youth in other countries. Read India, Ed.

The Pakis today feel they longer need a 2003 type ceasefire mainly agreed due to 1) Operation Parakram casualties suffered by them 2) The pace of growth in Defence production in India and 3) Growth in Indian economy which higher funding for our defense forces.
Our defense preparedness is back to 1998-99 levels which is why these guys are acting up.
