Just good ol' American patriots exercising their Fundamental Right to Bare Arms, carrying their pet baby automatic rifles down an American street on a stroll on a sunny day.

Following is EPIC!! YooS has figured out that they can borrow any amount of money (ok, there is no such thing as money ) without any consequences, SO, why put a debt ceiling? And, then put out a dog and pony show each year to raise the debt ceiling every time it is breached. So the solution is NO LIMITS ON BORROWING. Not for other countries though, just for the land of milk and honey. Not sure the chances of its passing, but one of the reasons benefits to having DT in office is to tear apart all the rulebooks which don't help national interest. The day will come when asking for how much debt nation owes would be crime.

Money for FREE
...
has suggested scrapping the existing debt-limit process and replacing it with one that automatically lifts the borrowing limit every time Congress appropriates future spending. :rotfl:
...

But Indians must always maintain certain phrein currency in reserve, or else....

Added Later: I think Modiji should use his second term to turn all post WWII institutions upside down, anything that put undue constraint on India's growth. Just like how we called China's bluff on Doka La. It is time.

The debt ceiling serves no purpose, raising it merely is saying the US will honor debts **already** incurred.

Anyway,

Not that it would change anything, but very strictly speaking, gov does not "incur" debt. It goes out to spend money it does not have. When it is time to pay for it (i.e. another useless aircraft carrier), gov cashier ain't go no money. So, they borrow (i.e. raise debt). And, when ceiling is hit, it is raised. Debt ceiling served some purpose at one point in time, in a way to control gov's reckless spending, but, today, yes, it is useless.

you do realise that the two camouflaged and armed men are white nationalists who'd like to use those firearms to shoot your brown musharraf, right?

Lol, I am as concerned about US white nationalist shooting my brown musharraf as I am concerned about boko Haram or the Mexican cartel shooting me i.e. not at all.

The American extreme right-wing and Pakistanis share the same paranoia - that the US government can control the weather.
Remember HAARP?
( https://www.memri.org/reports/pakistani ... being-used
from 2010: Pakistani Websites Accuse CIA of Causing Pakistan Flooding: U.S. Research Program 'HAARP is being Used in Pakistan [to Cause Artificial Floods]'; 'They Can't Win a War with Nuclear-Armed Pakistan ... So They Have Other Ways to Do It' )

The Washington Post doesn't name it, but:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the ... 039bf1cb6e
Alex Jones might have something to do with it. The Infowars founder — who has an “amazing” reputation, according to Trump — has for years promoted the notion that the U.S. government possesses the power to conjure and control weather events. Just last week, as Hurricane Harvey battered Texas, Jones devoted part of his show to questioning why the government didn't “use the technologies to kill [the storm] out in the gulf.”

“It is weird how these storms go,” he said, suggesting Harvey might have been manufactured or manipulated. “They just sit over a city.”

Jones's contention is that the government — or, more precisely, the “deep state,” now that Trump is president — uses its “weather weapon” to stoke fear of climate change and promote a liberal agenda.

Jones might be a fringe figure, but he increasingly bleeds into the mainstream, thanks in part to Trump's validation. Witness Limbaugh's monologue about Irma, which echoed some of Jones's conspiracy theory.

Blacks were brought as slaves and many who rebelled physically or intellectually were euthanised. They were bred like race horses to be physically strong in order to work on plantations and farms. This is why they excel at sports. About 1/3 of all black men in their lifetime have been arrested and incarcerated. Consequently black families have suffered and has led to high crime rates. Blacks didn't become free until the civil rights laws of 1965. Even the US military was segregated until 1948.

Because of this black men in the US are more prone to crime. Indians being a soft target have suffered more at the hands of black men in the US. Ask any Indian small business owner in the US to confirm this. Even educated blacks who came from poverty view Indians with jealousy. Obama was an aberration. His mother was white and father African, but his wife's family is American black.

No question about it.

From a pro India perspective, Obama overall was the best POTUS so far, with the sole exception of George W Bush (although Bush also had several negatives w.r.t. India: he massively increased/revitalized US aid to Pakistan, vastly increased the access of US-based international EJ groups to US government funding and diplomatic backing, deferred to TSPA/ISI on keeping India out of Afghanistan, and presided over whatever CIA/DEA ops facilitated David Headley in planning & executing the 26/11 attacks).

Both acted for what they see as US Interests. Nothing more or nothing less. Barring HC type candidate, US leadership now need to look for Indian interests to a greater extent as we become greater power economically and militarily and at the same time when they see a greater threat to them from China. It is only this situation that changes their policies towards us. Nothing else and we expect nothing more or nothing less.

Even then the EJ/NGO activities continue.

Bubba shooting guns at Irma is not unheard of. Florida was part of the south before all the wealthy people moved in to retire there.

Guns have always been a common feature in the US. It is much harder to buy guns today than it was in the past. In the 1960s you could mail order guns. Lee Harvey Oswald bought a $19 high power rifle from a mail order company in 1963 to shoot JFK. You could also buy what were known as "Saturday Night Special" that is a very cheap handgun to commit murder and then throw the gun away. Places like NYC were dangerous until the 1990s. Today Chicago is like NYC of the past. All the major metros in the US are dangerous places for gun violence particularly after sunset.

Check out this mudwrestling between two Big Mohtermas.
Clearly more to it than a decision to close or open the school. For comparison, places much north just closed campuses for 2 days, period. So the original nitwitted incompetence was on the part of the Pres-e-System.

Venezuela's president says Donald Trump is 'the new Hitler'
'We are prepared to take further action if the government of Venezuela persists on its path to impose authoritarian rule on the Venezuelan people,' Mr Trump had said earlier

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has called Donald Trump “the new Hitler” of international politics, responding to the US President's call for world leaders to help restore democracy in the South American country.

Mr Trump had used a portion of his stark address to the United Nations General Assembly to single out Mr Maduro's regime, which the US leader has called a “dictatorship”.

“The magnate thinks he is the owner of the world, but no one threatens Venezuela,” said Mr Maduro, who did not attend the annual gathering of world leaders and diplomats.

Mr Maduro also accused Mr Trump of threatening to assassinate him, even though the US leader did no such thing. :rotfl:
*(how about the innumerable failed attempts against Fidel?)

“The Venezuelan people are starving and their country is collapsing. Their democratic institutions are being destroyed. This situation is completely unacceptable and we cannot stand by and watch,” Mr Trump said. “I ask every country represented here today to be prepared to do more to address this very real crisis.”

Last month, Mr Trump signed an executive order imposing stronger financial sanctions on Venezuela, escalating the US's crackdown on the South American country.

Recession and currency controls in Venezuela have led to declines in local production and imports of foreign goods, resulting in shortages of everything from flour to vaccines and medicines. The crisis is so severe that 75 per cent of the country’s population has lost an average of 19 pounds in weight, a study by three Venezuelen universities has found.

During his speech on Tuesday, Mr Trump threatened to build upon the US's sweeping economic sanctions if Mr Maduro “persists on a path to impose authoritarian rule.”

Trump launches new sanctions against 'dictatorship in Venezuela'
However, he did not repeat his earlier threat to consider military options, a day after dining with leaders of four Latin American countries who made clear they would oppose such action.

“We are fortunate to have incredibly strong and healthy trade relationships with many of the Latin American countries gathered here today,” Mr Trump said in his speech. “Our economic bond forms a critical foundation for advancing peace and prosperity for all of our people and all of our neighbors.”
