Over last 50 yeas gora population is decreasing, crime rate is decreasing and per-capita income is increasing in states where goras are becoming less - in the US of A.

*

Was somewhere near LA to attend a banquet reception, where there were only two non-goras, me and my bosss amongst 250+ goras and goris. To some it was a big PIA. Two black cats amongst white PGNs was big upset -8000+ year old history against 300 years of occupation.

Gus that is an interesting video but it is mainly an indictment of police violence. When I look at Amreeka from the viewpoint of the gun lobby - it is clear that they dominate the narrative, allowing the freedom for everyone to possess guns as a right. By itself this may be fine as long as the US allows freedom for researchers to collect data that may ultimately help police-public relations.

Intuitively it appears like guns can be "more lethal" than knives meaning that if you take 1000 cases of (attempted homicide or suicide) knife injury and 1000 cases of (attempted homicide or suicide)gun injury one would expect that death is more likely from gun injury than knife injury. But this is an assumption . Only hard data can conclusively prove or disprove the idea that guns are "more lethal" than knives. That data is not being collected.

To me it appears like the gun lobby as well as the police intuitively understand the truth of the assumption I have made above. Guns are far more effective in causing quick and lethal injury than anything else commonly available to humans. The police do not and cannot control the gun lobby. They have to do their job and that job is exceedingly dangerous in America. Not justifying racist police killings - but police in America carry guns because policing is that dangerous. And when people carry guns for self defence or law enforcement they are expected to, and will use them.

American weapons fan videos are very informative about which guns are the best to stop a man in his tracks and when those guns must be used by good people. This is like a priest holding up a cross while watching p()rn so that the sin does not enter him. There are "bad people" also watching those videos who learn what there is to learn. There are "bad people" who know how to stop someone in his tracks using a gun and US police have to face these characters. If data is collected it could possibly turn out that the Police are pulling out their guns every time these is an incident with whites or blacks, but they tend to shoot blacks more. But the skin colour of the subject is a digression from the fact that police must carry guns because the population is heavily armed.

gun lobby wants everyone to have a gun. but the 'tough on crime' lobby pushes for criminals (or seen as criminals) to be shot with no accountability needed from police. and everybody is prejudiced or conditioned to look at blacks as criminals.

naturally, a white man can wave a gun at cop and have nothing happen to him, while a black man reaching for his pocket will get shot at. a very messy situation.

The free press is commited to investigative reporting

National Enquirer Shielded Donald Trump From Playboy Model’s Affair Allegation
Tabloid owner American Media agreed to pay $150,000 for story from 1998 Playmate of the Year, but hasn’t published her account

The company that owns the National Enquirer, a backer of Donald Trump, agreed to pay $150,000 to a former Playboy centerfold model for her story of an affair a decade ago with the Republican presidential nominee, but then didn’t publish it, according to documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal and people familiar with the matter.

The tabloid-newspaper publisher reached an agreement in early August with Karen McDougal, the 1998 Playmate of the Year. American Media Inc., which owns the Enquirer, hasn’t published anything about what she has told friends was a consensual romantic relationship she had with Mr. Trump in 2006. At the time, Mr. Trump was married to his current wife, Melania.

Quashing stories that way is known in the tabloid world as “catch and kill.”

Ms. McDougal expected her story about Mr. Trump to be published, people familiar with the matter said. American Media didn’t intend to run it, said another person familiar with the matter. Ms. McDougal didn’t return calls for comment.

Mr. Trump and American Media Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David J. Pecker are longtime friends. Since last year, the Enquirer has supported Mr. Trump’s presidential bid, endorsing him and publishing negative articles about some of his opponents.

In a written statement, Mr. Pecker said that it is no secret that he and Mr. Trump are friends and that he greatly admires him. However, he said, the Enquirer under his management “set the agenda” on Mr. Trump’s affair with Marla Maples when he was married to his first wife. “That in itself speaks volumes about our commitment to investigative reporting,” he said.

A contract reviewed by the Journal gave American Media exclusive rights to Ms. McDougal’s story forever, but didn’t obligate the company to publish it and allowed the company to transfer those rights. It barred her from telling her story elsewhere. The company said it also would give her monthly columns to write and would put her on magazine covers.

Ms. McDougal, who continued modeling after appearing in Playboy, told several of her friends she had a relationship for about 10 months with Mr. Trump, beginning in 2006 and lasting into 2007, according to people familiar with her account. Another friend told the Journal that Ms. McDougal’s relationship with Mr. Trump lasted about a year.

In July, Ms. McDougal was in talks with producers at ABC News to tell her story, but she ultimately agreed to the deal with AMI, guided by her lawyer Keith Davidson, according to two people familiar with the discussions.

“I did indeed represent Ms. McDougal and currently represent Ms. McDougal in her negotiations with American Media Inc. to provide services to them,” Mr. Davidson said.

Mr. Davidson also represented Stephanie Clifford, a former adult-film star whose professional name is Stormy Daniels and who was in discussions with ABC’s “Good Morning America” in recent months to publicly disclose what she said was a past relationship with Mr. Trump, according to people familiar with the talks. Ms. Clifford cut off contact with the network without telling her story. She didn’t respond to requests for comment.

An ABC spokesperson declined to comment on Ms. McDougal or Ms. Clifford.

Mr. Davidson’s work for Ms. McDougal was in connection with “claims against Donald Trump and or assisting client in negotiating a confidentiality agreement and/or life rights related to interactions with Donald Trump and/or negotiating assignment of exclusive press opportunities regarding same,” according to a copy of Mr. Davidson’s agreement to represent her, which was reviewed by the Journal.

The agreement between Ms. McDougal and AMI doesn’t mention Mr. Trump by name, but gives the publisher the rights to “any romantic, personal and/or physical relationship McDougal has ever had with any then-married man.” The document says AMI is entitled to damages of at least $150,000 if she discloses her story elsewhere on social media or gives interviews about it.

Ms. McDougal hasn't appeared in or written for any AMI publications since signing the agreement, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Mr. Trump’s relationship with Mr. Pecker, the chairman of American Media, is well-documented.

This isn't in keeping w the agreement. Since we clearly have some
leverage, would be good to flag this for him. I could send a signal via
Welch--or did you establish a direct line w him
?

Asked about the Clintons' wealth, Sanders responded: "Theoretically you can
be a multibillionaire and in fact be very concerned about the issues of
working people. Theoretically that's true. When you hustle money like that,
you don't sit in restaurants like this. You sit in restaurants where you
spend, I don't know what they spend, hundreds of dollars for dinner and so
forth. That's the world you are accustomed to. And that's the worldview
that you adopt. I'm not going to condemn Hillary and Bill Clinton because
they've made a lot of money. That type of wealth has the potential to
isolate you from the reality of the world."

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/11/16/5-most-absurd-ways-the-left-has-responded-to-the-2016-election/
1. Cry-Ins: They really did hold a “cry-in” at Cornell University. They got together and wept in the quad, sobbing about how “terrifying” Trump’s victory was.The Wall Street Journal said school staff were “providing tissues and hot chocolate” to the emotional exhibitionists. It’s not good at all when absurdly expensive institutions of higher learning churn out students who can’t deal with the results of an election, and it is very much the fault of liberal-dominated academia that it’s come to this. They did it on purpose, as part of the great liberal project to make childhood a permanent condition.

2. Therapy Dogs: Therapy dogs weren’t just for small children. They were brought in to comfort university students and (more-or-less) grown-up Democratic staffers on Capitol Hill, too.

the next one has got to be the craziest use of a prop ever
3. Safety Pins:Safety pins are supposed to identify the wearer as an island of safety and tolerance for “women, LGBT people, immigrants, and people of color feeling frightened by Trump’s presidency and vitriol that some of his supporters display. The safety pin is perhaps the ultimate example of “virtue signaling,” the Left’s passive-agressive technique of adopting political postures to signal personal virtue, while accusing everyone else of moral inferiority. The safety pin is a shiny little incarnation of the Left’s ridiculous binary political argument—you either support them 100%, or you’re an intolerant monster who wants the oppressed to drop dead

4. Open Letters: The most infamous open letter was probably the one GrubHub CEO Matt Maloney wrote to his employees, demanding the resignation of anyone who agreed with the “nationalist, anti-immigrant and hateful politics of Donald Trump.”

5. Clinton Victory Fantasies:Wild fantasies of a dramatic eleventh-hour reversal that bars Trump from the White House have become op-ed safety blankets. The favored nook-nook of the hour for emotionally devastated liberals is a meaningless petition to sweep the Electoral College aside right now and install Hillary Clinton as President, based on popular vote totals.

Hillary Supporter Insults Ivanka Trump On At NY Airport !

Screaming lawyer chases down Ivanka Trump and yells at her as she sits with her kids on flight to Florida - and his Hillary supporter husband BOASTS about the verbal attack before they're kicked off

Ivanka Trump made it very clear on Thursday that she has no problem staying cool and calm under pressure.
The 35-year-old mother-of-three was travelling with her children to Palm Beach, Florida from New York City on a JetBlue flight when a man began to accost her. 'Your father is ruining the country,' said Dan Goldstein, a lawyer from Brooklyn, who had a child in his arms according to TMZ.
Goldstein then began screaming out: 'Why is she on our flight. She should be flying private.
Ivanka paid as little attention as possible and tried to preoccupy her children with some crayons to diffuse the situation until the crew escorted him off the plane.
Goldstein's husband, Matthew Lasner, said that was not what happened however on Twitter, writing: 'My husband expressed his displeasure in a calm tone, JetBlue staff overheard, and they kicked us off the plane.'However. just an hour prior to that Lasner wrote on Twitter: 'Ivanka and Jared at JFK T5, flying commercial. My husband chasing them down to harass them. #banalityofevil'Lassner also took a photo of Ivanka sitting on the plane writing that they were kicked off for 'expressing displeasure about flying w/ Trumps.'
The plane was still boarding when the incident occurred, so the crew was able to get the two men and their child off the flight and avoid any further incident.Goldstein began saying to the crew as they escorted him off the plane: 'You're kicking me off for expressing my opinion?!!'It was after they were off the plane that Lasner then posted his tweets defending his husband and the photo of Ivanka sitting in her seat. Those tweets were then deleted in less than an hour. An hour after that Lasner deleted his entire account.
And while Goldstein was happy to go after Ivanka and Lasner was eager to defend his actions, neither of the men confronted Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner, who was right next to her on the flight standing in the aisle the entire time.
JetBlue released a statement on Thursday morning saying: 'The decision to remove a customer from a flight is not taken lightly. If the crew determines that a customer is causing a conflict on the aircraft, the customer will be asked to deplane, especially if the crew feels the situation runs the risk of escalation during flight.'It was then noted that Lasner and Goldsten were placed on the next available flight. Members of Secret Service were on the flight with the family, but did not intervene and instead chose to let the airline handle the issue.
vanka had been seen leaving her Park Avenue apartment building early that morning dressed down in skinny jeans and a varsity jacket.
Due to the number of people who visit Palm Beach in the winter months and the small size of the airport, most individuals departing from New York City have to fly JetBlue out of JFK to get to the popular destination.Ivanka and her family will be spending the holiday with her father, the President-elect, at Mar-a-Lago.Lasner has been very vocal about his distaste for Trump on Twitter, writing shortly after the election about marching against the President-elect.He also posted a video when he marched in Chicago with the hashtags '#notmypresident' and '#weslay.' Lasner also retweeted a man who wrote on Twitter: 'Dear @IvankaTrump + @JaredKushner, there are swastikas being painted across America by people who support your father. PLEASE SAY SOMETHING.'He is also not a fan of Ronald Reagan or George Bush. Lasner posted a photo of a college student wearing an old Reagan / Bush shirt earlier this year without the young man's knowledge and then wrote: 'Seeing this walking out of @packercollegiate this morning made seriously ill. It's disgusting that teenagers might find this amusing. As far as I'm concerned it's hate speech. #idontheartthe80s' According to his biography on the Hunter College website, Lasner 'studies the history and theory of the U.S. built environment, with particular focus on housing, and the relationship between housing patterns and urban and suburban form.'He earned a PhD in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, a MS in urban and regional planning studies from the London School of Economics and his BA in urban studies at Columbia.
For a person who claims to have studied at LSE, Columbia and Havard , he sure did not behave like one !

I think the husband and secret service did the right thing and let the two yobs be deplaned by the airline. MSM is always looking for #blowtoDT type stories if any confrontation had escalated. playing victim is a old card of the MSM as in secret service manhandles and frog marches two innocent hillary supporters off the plane.

I believe it goes by who is on top and who is at the bottom. Yes, I'm talking about that. The dominant guy/ gal is the husband. In a few years' time (maybe even earlier), the liberal crowd will come to question why husband has to be equated with dominance (they question everything, don't they, like the old saying - the way to the truth is to start questioning everything). Isn't dominance==husband a remnant of medieval sexism, hein ji? So they will redefine dominance and husband and wife, and a few other terms as well. Just like they made "waiter" and "waitress" "waitperson" and "waitron." After that, nobody can tell anymore what is husband and what is wife - more importantly, nobody will have the guts to even use "husband and wife" terminology anymore, in case they're branded as medieval Nazi thugs. Then, they will all settle upon using the politically correct "comrade" instead.

Reminds me of the passage from Harold Robbins' - was it The Adventurers IIRC. This guy gets obstructed by the Bodyguard of this rich mohterma. He pulls out a gold cigarette case (this was in the days when it was 'cool' to be smoking cigarettes, the longer the better) and offers him a light. The inscription inside the case says:
To XXXXX, the greatest swordsman on the planet. From his admiring scabbard.
No more arrogance from the BodyGuard.
Its the sheer PCness of that article that stunned me. Totally 21st Mill-editing. Had to read it several times to figure out the cast of characters. In fact there was no real need to mention "husband" except to convey messages not directly relevant to the story. Which means the writer is also "happy".

To End Decades on Death Row, Inmate Makes an Agonizing Choice

After 25 years on death row for a killing he said he didn't do — and three years after a federal judge threw out his conviction — James Dennis was brought to a Philadelphia courtroom Thursday to make a harrowing choice: plead no contest to the crime and go home, or gamble on another trial.

He didn't want to admit to the 1991 shooting of 17-year-old Chedell Williams. A federal judge had already ruled he'd been condemned "for a crime in all probability he did not commit."

But that didn't guarantee that another jury wouldn't find him guilty.

So he took the only path he knew would keep him from execution.

December 27, 2016 "Information Clearing House" - "Consortium News" - America’s extended Christmas holiday season, stretching through much of November and all of December, has not been a happy time for Official Washington’s dominant neoconservatives and their liberal-interventionist sidekicks.
First, they had to lick their wounds over the defeat of their preferred U.S. presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton; then they had to watch as their “moderate” Syrian rebel proxies and their Al Qaeda allies were routed from east Aleppo; and finally they watched in disbelief as the Obama administration permitted passage of a United Nations Security Council resolution condemning Israel’s illegal settlements on Palestinian lands. To say that the neocons and liberal hawks have not taken these reversals well would be an understatement. They have pretty much blamed Clinton’s defeat on everyone but themselves and Clinton herself. They have been apoplectic over Aleppo and their lost dream of “regime change” in Syria. And they have sputtered in outrage over President Obama’s failure to veto the Israeli anti-settlement resolution.
Average Americans also could feel the contempt that these elites had for the rest of us. The neocons and liberal hawks had come to believe in the CIA’s concept of “perception management,” feeling that the American people were items to be controlled, not the nation’s sovereigns to be informed and respected. Instead of “We the People,” Official Washington’s elites treated us like “Us the Sheep.”

Instead of “We the People,” Official Washington’s elites treated us like “Us the Sheep.”
Yet, to me, the biggest head-scratcher about Clinton’s disastrous campaign was why – after she left the State Department in 2013 – did she jump into the sleazy business of collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars for brief speeches to Wall Street and other special interests. Her prospective presidency was crucial to the Clinton business model of soliciting huge donations and fees from corporations and foreign governments to the Clinton Foundation and to allied consulting firms, such as the Podesta Group. These corporate and foreign leaders were pre-paying for “access” to the future U.S. president. However, instead of shielding Clinton from the grubby business of collecting the money herself, she was dispatched to join in the money grabbing. This greed or hubris left millions of Americans troubled by what a restoration of Clinton control of the Executive Branch might mean. Whether Trump was sincere or not, he hit a nerve when he talked about “draining the swamp.”
Thus, 2016 is ending on a decidedly sour note for the neocons and liberal interventionists. They had high hopes that 2017 would mark the beginning of an escalated “regime change” adventure in Syria and the start of their “mother of all regime change” schemes for destabilizing nuclear-armed Russia and somehow staging a “color revolution” in Moscow, all while Hillary Clinton took the relationship with Israel “to the next level” as she promised in her speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Now, the neocons and liberal hawks find themselves on the outside looking in and one can expect their anger to be voiced at increasing decibels across the mainstream media. But whether anyone still takes them seriously is another question.

Will Hillary "retire" from politics , or she still in the game, that IMO, is a "big question"

It’s Bad

The first month of the Trump presidency has been more cruel and destructive than the majority of Americans feared. The worst is yet to come.

This is catchall thread for all "Bositive news" from USA. The thread was created with the specific purpose of spreading "Bositivity" about USA, I don't see why Admin. should have any problem at all.

This is obviously an apolitical thread .
Bringing in trump vs democrats here would be as blasphemous as doing ganja vs mushy arguments in benis thread. Please keep some respect to peeaareff traditions.

Narrowly defining thread's objective unnecessary leads to thread proliferation, as the name suggest we should treat this as catch all thread for all BOSITIVE NEWS about USA irrespective of the source of BOSITIVITY.
