Malaysian Airlines Flight MH-370 goes missing
Re: Malaysian Arilines Flight MH-370 goes missing
If the plane has crashed in rainforest nearby then it would be very difficult to locate. The trees are so tall and dense you can't see the land, and then there the rain literally pour all months so fire can get extinguished quickly, leaving no trace.

It may be prudent on our part to beef up AA coverage over Kudankulam and Kalpakkam. If the Pakis have any hand at this the Maldives islands should be scanned. A lot of them are uninhabited. Maldives is also conveniently close to Diego Garcia.

Doubtful. Not unless the plane somehow wound up in the Indian Ocean region. The US does have certain facilties in Singapore.matrimc wrote:The big known unknown is extent of Diego Garcia coverage. Re: Malaysian Arilines Flight MH-370 goes missing
What else can one do with a large airplane like that, which is worth the cost and complexity of such an operation? Something that cannot be achieved by cheaper/less spectacular means? Clearly it has not struck anything yet, so it has to be refuelled I think, and takeoff for sure, before any new mission.
I think the 9-mile oil slick was deliberate, for reasons explained b4. Detection by the Malaysian military radar was accidental and not part of the plan, most probably. All depends on where that 4-hour engine transmission occurred, and those who know that are not telling. So UB CTs has to close down operations: we don't speculate where someone other than the villains and victims KNOWS the answer.
I can think of a number of interesting missions, but none that I want to write down here.

Maybe the plane was carrying Ukraine's gold reserves, being transferred by POTUS BO to Beijing to pay off a small amount of WarMalt debt. Timing is right.
Nah! Scratch that. The plane probably sells for $120M. Which is >>> Ukraine gold reserves.

But that just needs a small bizjet that can be rented, hain? Payload of 5000 kg and intercontinental range.
I assume that anyone who could do this, also knows how to make any flight ID appear on a radar screen identifying the flight. So any flight could become, say Ulan Bator Airways Flight 666 from Frankfurt.
If a large airliner suddenly appears on ATC radar and requests emergency permission to land at a major airport of a major coastal city, what do u think Tower will do? Order it shot down?
I think I don't like the answer to that pooch.

Theo, now it is most definitely not UB's CT (although of course we were first by a loooong way). The Wall Street Journal has said it loud and clear.I cannot be blamed for anything here.
It's OK, now that gora log/massa have said it, "we" can all repeat it. Poor UB, no one believes our carefully-thought-out products, done without any ACRS data, no satellite data, just fine UB CT-cooking onlee.
Do u need further confirmation that they get all their good stuff from reading PeeAref?U.S. counterterrorism officials are pursuing the possibility that a pilot or someone else on board the plane may have diverted it toward an undisclosed location after intentionally turning off the jetliner’s transponders to avoid radar detection, according to one person tracking the probe. .. But the huge uncertainty about where the plane was headed, and why it continued flying so long without working transponders, has raised theories among investigators that the aircraft may have been commandeered for a reason that appears unclear to U.S. authorities. Some of those theories have been laid out to national security officials and senior personnel from various U.S. agencies, according to one person familiar with the matter.
At one briefing, according to this person, officials were told investigators are actively pursuing the notion that the plane was diverted “with the intention of using it later for another purpose.”

Malaysia kl is a major cargo hub...nd stolen product is always routed through many hops to hide trace of eventual
destination. Maybe the tsp has sold 5 jdam to the uighurs and other brothers and wanted to avoid any backtrace.
so everyone incl India has a stake in finding the truth.
a band of knife wielding uighurs killed some 32 ppl in a kunming railway stn two weeks back..so cheen knows what they will do if they lay hand on tsp jdam with made in china stamped discreetly under green paint

What if the plane/wreckage is now found with **most** of the original occupants on board? Most of the cargo not identifiable, so not possible to determine if everything is still there. Would u believe that it was an accident? I would not, unless it was directly on the original flight path. I still say that it may have crashed before it ever reached the east coast of Malaysia after takeoff from KL. Once it got over the sea, I can't see how it disappeared due to unintended causes.

^^ So that discount massa's role. There is something odd in this flight.
Who has not expressed any concern so far about the missing airliner?
Even Queendom piped up with engine telemetry after claiming it was only take off and climb out data they had. Now its four/five hours of flight past the last sighting by civil radar.
----
I find the Nightwatch report interesting as it points to malay role in AQK network.
Wht if singha's scenario is the root of this mystery?

Re: Malaysian Arilines Flight MH-370 goes missing
So why did they say that then? If RR is not empowered to comment, it's a Boeing/ Malaysian airplane, why did they even say that? So the selective release of info was deliberate disinformation.Even Queendom piped up with engine telemetry after claiming it was only take off and climb out data they had. Now its four/five hours of flight past the last sighting by civil radar.
The 4-5 hours comes from WSJ quoting counter-terrorism investigating panel, with access to Boeing and RR. So that's a staged, deliberate leak, or 2 "knowledgeable ppl" are in big trouble. Why leak that? (except, of course, they see that UBs have long-since arrived at the right answer). What does that do to relatives? Suddenly the "phone was ringing" story rings true, hain?
And if the plane was transmitting data for 4 hours beyond "crash", then why crash? A totally new set of problems? Someone who flew it with fine control for 4 hours then dived for the heck of it, leaving no trace?
So it has to be assumed that the plane is still very much alive, Theo. No one needs to say that in so many words for that to be obvious, sorry.
I guess Jim Bonda has run out of time, now the Big Guys have decided to smoke the perps out, as in "use it or lose it". With all planes at the ready to shoot it down.

BBC: Chinese sat pics leak was a mistak
Malayasia is denying both China sat pictures (which we on BRF already discounted) and US-UK engine reports.
Something is greviously wrong.Transport minister Hishammuddin Hussein : Chinese images "did not show any debris from MH370"
Chinese satellite images that were said to show debris from a missing Malaysian airliner were released by mistake, Malaysia's transport minister says.
Hishammuddin Hussein also denied a US report that the Boeing 777 might have flown for hours after contact with air traffic control was lost.
Flight MH370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing went missing late on Friday, with 239 passengers and crew on board.
The minister said the disappearance of the plane was unprecedented.
Mr Hussein told reporters at Kuala Lumpur International Airport that the Chinese embassy in the Malaysian capital had said the satellite images were released by mistake and "did not show any debris from MH370".
The three Chinese images appeared to show large, floating objects in the South China Sea
The grainy satellite images were released by China's State Administration of Science on Wednesday.
'Everything was normal'
Mr Hussein also denied a report in the Wall Street Journal that the plane had sent engine data to the ground for more than four hours after it lost contact with air traffic control.
He said that his team had spoken to Malaysian Airlines and Rolls-Royce, the engine's manufacturers, who both said the report was "inaccurate".
"The last transmission from the aircraft was at 01:07 which indicated that everything was normal," Mr Hussein said.
He added that the aircraft had been fully serviced, with the last maintenance conducted on 23 February 2014.
Mr Hussein said that efforts to locate the aircraft were ongoing, promising to "spare nothing in our efforts to find MH370".
"There are currently 43 ships and 40 aircraft searching the South China Sea and Straits of Malacca," he said.

Re: Malaysian Arilines Flight MH-370 goes missing
Aviation experts on CNN openly stating that he expects plane to be intact. On the RR comment, says the a/c sends out a burst of information every 30 minutes. This has information about engine performance. Using this data, one can fathom various aspects- like fuel consumption data would be different at 35K and 10K. The information can be shared by RR only with airline and ICAO.

Here is a link that replays the flight on FlightRadar (let it play after it loads), starting 17:11
http://www.flightradar24.com/2014-03-07 ... 70/2d81a27
You can interrogate other flights as well. There were flights sufficiently close that if there was a mayday call that Ho Chi Minh did not copy, it could be heard and relayed by others if the pilots went on 121.5 even if they were handed off to a different center. And they were not that far off radar and there were no reports of radars going offline along Narthiwat. No squawk 7500/7600, no 121.5, everything goes off. If the pilots were incapacitated and plane continued, it would be sending adsb tracked by fr, it's too late for that scenario anyway. If it blew something shows at IGARI-BITOD+drift. If it doesn't then it was switched off, and possibly someone helped them along. How did they cross west if radars were up and then spottily picked up reportedly at FL290?

The Guardian- ABC News is now providing information from the US Department of Defense that would seem to back up the WSJ's news from last night, and also contradict the most recent Malaysian press conference. ABC News’ Martha Raddatz is known for having well-cultivated sources inside the defense department. Earlier today she quoted an unnamed “senior Pentagon official” as saying the USS Kidd, a destroyer, was moving to the Indian Ocean to search for MH370.

Agree with GD the Malaysian need to shut up as they dont have any face left.U.S. officials have an "indication" the missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner may have crashed in the Indian Ocean and is moving the USS Kidd to the area to begin searching.
It will take another 24 hours to move the ship into position, a senior Pentagon official told ABC News.
"We have an indication the plane went down in the Indian Ocean," the senior official said.
The official said there were indications that the plane flew four or five hours after disappearing from radar and that they believe it went into the water.
The U.S. action came hours after Malaysian officials said they had extended their search into the Andaman Sea and had requested help from India in the search for the missing plane and its 239 passengers.
APMap shows search areas for missing Malaysia Airlines jet which has been expanded, March 13, 2014.
Investigators also said today that U.S. officials gave them reasons to keep searching the waters west of Malaysia, far from the flight path of the Malaysia Airlines plane.
Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said that the search’s “main focus has always been in the South China Sea,” which is east of Malaysia and along the plane’s route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
But the search was extended earlier this week to include water far to the west on the other side of Malaysia.
Just be honest and say you don't know.
UB what was it doing in the Ind Ocean? Heading to Diego Garcia?
