What a damper. Pakis have not lived up to the expectations of their arap birathers who wait with bated breath.

Yawn reports:

12:55am

DawnNews reported sources as having said that the Pakistan Army has taken charge of the Interior Ministry's control room.

Former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah however has rejected the reports, saying that the Interior Ministry is still in charge of the control room.

Rana sanullah got the army's permission before making that statement

Grapevine is that Shahbaz will take over for an interim period and constitute a supreme court commission to look into rigging charges. If proved they will call for fresh elections.

Master stroke by TFTAs. Deny PM ship to the hot head Im the Dim. Cut Nawaz to size. Keep ongoing threat of getting rid of civilian dispensation throughout the inquiry period so they can pull the rope and say "Dance Shahbaz dance" and the "nascent democracy" will dance in the presence of "vibrant media" in Pakistan.

It is clear that Imran Khans supporters and rest of Pakistan are culturally and traditionally different and constitute two distinct nations. Imran Khan should call for "direct action" to secure him the prime ministership that he has been denied.

The army hack called Sam manekshaw and Dalbir Singh as Gurkhas. Fellow doesn't know the difference between serving in the Gurkha regiment vs being a Gurkha. Or maybe he confused tenzing norgay with them.

By the way, how is the civil military balance coming along in Pakistan?

Resident Paki Agent in India Abhadra Kumar is proving what a great investment he is for the Lifafa he gets. - His Vomit: The real reason why India scuttled Pakistan talks.

He openly calls Nationalists of India as apologists for Modi, and says that since Pakistan is a nuclear power we no not have the capacity to make Pakistan change its behavior on the "core issue".

He says that India cannot start talking with Baluchistani nationalists as Baluchistan is internal issue of Pakistan while Kashmir is not a internal issue of India.(Guess who gave the same identical statements today ? Pakistani Foreign ministry and Geelani )

He writes that Pakistan is not to be faulted for what it always does (So wrong behavior done many times makes it acceptable), that the motives of the Narendra Modi government are highly suspect and he is following RSS diktat.

To think this asshole was an Ambassador!!! How did/does India survive such ba****ds? Wonder what kind of leverage/file the Paki Govt/ISI has on this abomination from Bharatvarsh?

I swear I am not making this up. Weren't you all wondering whatever happened to Ms. MarviJi? Well, here she is: Marvi!. She chimes in (finally) with this:

03:50AM: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marvi Memon...the Prime Minister would resign, at any cost...“We have super doper elasticity”...“The real issue was a desperate desire [of Imran Khan] to become prime minister.”
Memon elaborated that there was a difference between red zone and red line. “Though I couldn’t disclose the red line but it would not be let cross,” she maintained.

Blunt talk by India's Afghan envoy riles Pakistan - Indrani Bagchi, ToI
Pakistan's proxy war in India is well known, but for the first time, India is speaking out against Pakistan-sponsored violence in Afghanistan.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Pakistan of conducting a proxy war in India last week, the Indian ambassador to Afghanistan, Amar Sinha did some plain speaking to an Afghan TV channel: "The terrorists who come to Afghanistan, do they come from Africa? Do they come from Mali or Nigeria? No. We know what these elements are; thousands of books have been written on the sanctuaries of terrorism. Unfortunately, one particular area has become a nursery for training terrorists," Sinha said. "They are located in Pakistan and it is not a secret."

On Tuesday, Afghanistan president Hamid Karzai, presiding over his last Afghan independence day celebrations in Kabul, echoed Modi publicly asking Pakistan to stop its attacks inside Afghanistan. Afghan sources told TOI their security forces have been routinely arresting or killing Pakistani regulars who were attacking Afghan border provinces in tandem with the Taliban. In preparation for a territorial battle post the US withdrawal, the Taliban, with Pakistani help, is now active in almost 14 Afghan provinces, raising serious questions about the future of the country after NATO forces leave.

While the Pakistan government did not object to Modi's accusations, they protested against Sinha. In a statement, the Pakistan embassy in Kabul, dismissing the allegations as "baseless", said, "It is against diplomatic norms to use Afghan soil to speak against a third country and try to create a rift in Afghanistan's relations with its neighbours."

In his interview, Sinha was also clear when he stressed that Taliban was being used by the ISI for their old policy of gaining strategic depth in Afghanistan. "The definition of proxy war is when any nation or agencies or institutions of a nation, take or start fighting with the neighbours but without declaring a war," he explained. "Proxy war is also an undeclared war, so in this proxy war that we see in Afghanistan, we see that terrorists are being used as the proxy of a state."

Last month, in his first meeting with the new Chinese special envoy for Afghanistan, Sun Yuxi, Karzai admitted that the peace talks were essentially with Pakistan, not Taliban, because the latter were controlled by Pakistan. Our peace talks are in fact, with Pakistan and not with the Afghan Taliban," Karzai said.

That man (after 6:40) refers to "hathiyaron ka daud" which is a transliteration of "arms race"

Arms race is a term that has been introduced to us from the west and we love it. The west gives Pakistan arms, and India buys arms from the west. The west calls this an "arms race" and chides India and Pakistan for not doing enough about poverty, malnutrition open defecation etc. - all of which were first remedied in the west long before they fought any wars or had rivalries like IndiaPakistan

Yet another example of the pervasiveness of western universal values being given to turd world nations

http://www.dawn.com/news/1126365/islama ... steps-down

Islamabad march: Imran threatens to storm PM House unless Nawaz steps down
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's Azadi march and Pakistan Awami Tehreek's Inquilab march have entered into Islamabad's Red Zone.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that Nawaz Sharif will have to go.

“I have a new plan if Nawaz Sharif did not resign before the deadline,” he said while addressing to protesters, outside the parliament.

He said that they would not leave until Nawaz Sharif resigns. Khan appealed all Pakistanis to reach outside the Parliament House and asked police not to obey illegal orders.

All talk and no action so far. If Immy is a real Pathan, he would have ransacked Nawaz Sharif's house and kicked his musharraf. Instead he is issuing statement after statement.

Also the Marvi motorma who is acting as though she is a big supporter of democracy, used to be in PML-Q and was musharraf's protege (he is alleged to have bought her political support with generous amounts of money). She was a part of APML (Mushy's party which has 1.5 supporters now, including himself) and used to issue statements how Mushy will come back to Pakistan, fight elections and win. Now after she saw what is happening to Mushy, saw the writing on the wall and jumped back to PML-N.

In Pakistan it is all a question of who is renting who. Not a question of democracy vs anarchy vs military.

They always have been right from mahabharat times. It is indus and upper gangetic valley which has been subsidising them.

Whenever subsidies became difficult because of vaccuum in those valleys, they mostly got subjugated from the eastern side. Rarely during those times they directly tried to subjugate these valleys, but those efforts were always utter failures.

Coup but no Coup.... all maya
2:30pm | Army takes control of security

Below is a video showing soldiers of the Pakistan Army taking position outside state institutions. As the protesters marched on to the Constitution Avenue on Tuesday night, the army had urged both the government and the protesting political parties to exercise restraint and find a way out of the crisis through dialogue.

“Situation requires patience, wisdom and sagacity from all stakeholders to resolve prevailing impasse through meaningful dialogue in larger national and public interest,” military spokesman Maj Gen Asim Bajwa said in a late night statement.

Earlier
According to a government insider with a first-hand account of the meeting, Sharif's envoys returned with good news and bad: there will be no coup but if he wants his government to survive, from now on it will have to share space with the army.

US in touch with India & Pakistan over resumption of talks - PTI, ET
The US is engaging with the Indian and Pakistani governments on bilateral talks, which India called off while objecting to Pakistani envoy's meeting with Kashmiri separatist leaders ahead of the dialogue.

"We are engaging with the governments of both India and Pakistan directly through our embassies to talk about this issue, and again, would strongly support efforts by both countries to improve their bilateral relations," State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf told reporters.

"So it's really up to them to take steps to improve that relationship," Harf added.

From MK Bhadrakumar's article:
Paradoxically, this is an argument that ought to justify the raison d'etre for engaging Pakistan today. By refusing to engage the civilian government in Pakistan, Delhi is only playing into the hands of the hardliners in that country.
Spoken like a true Paki Ambassador.

But read the title again and look though the contents.
Title:The real reason why India scuttled Pakistan talks
Did MKB offer the real reason?
But a deeper question arises here. Did he duck on own accord or under the diktat from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Everything depends on an answer to that profound question and we may never really get an answer here, because these are highly secretive happenings in the sub-soil.

And, herein hangs the tale of the scuttled foreign secretary level talks. Both Delhi and Islamabad are anticipating gathering storms on the horizon. Modi's inaugural bash already looks a distant dream, as ancient passions take over.
So he starts off with claiming to know the real reason and all he has for arguments are these? These guys are silly.
"Highly secretive happenings/ancient passsions" - WTF is that? In Tamil, they say "Poochaandi kattran" ( An attempt to scare ) . Thats what MKB is doing.

These guys earn their living by claiming to be saner voices ( or Paki appeasement) and a lot of gora leftist magazines/newspapers employ them precisely for that. If he starts supporting INdia's position, he will be quickly cut off. And he knows that. He is a literary mercenary.

Oh and BTW, shouldn't it be "Former Ambassador" in the rediff article.

------
Modi called off the talks. It is entirely a coincidence that the US trip is a month away. ( If it were MMS, there would be no coincidence but cause and effect. ) Indian press (PTI, ET) can ask US ambassador, janitor at MAdras consulate, Schwarznegger and Samantha Fox for their views too. But the US spokesperson's words sums it up
"So it's really up to them to take steps to improve that relationship," Harf added.

Pakistan hopeful of stronger India ties despite talks row
NEW DELHI: Pakistan remains hopeful of strengthening ties with India despite an angry New Delhi last week cancelling scheduled talks between the two countries, Pakistan’s high commissioner to India said on Wednesday.

Abdul Basit said Pakistan was confident of “overcoming this setback” after Delhi called off the diplomatic talks in Islamabad in a blow to warmer ties between the new Indian government and Islamabad.

NYT : Prime Minister Modi Fumbles on Pakistan

There will always be political excuses not to take risks. Both leaders have challenges at home, but Mr. Modi, who won a huge victory in the May election, is in the strongest political position, while Mr. Sharif is facing street protests led by politicians seeking his ouster.

I mean how dumb are these idiots.
Pak. ambassador was told what the reasons were.
Yet, NYT claims there are political excuses for Modi to call talks off.

What’s needed is a meeting between the leaders to establish a continuing dialogue. Next month’s United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York offers a good venue. It would be foolish and dangerous to let this episode destroy the chance for a more stable relationship.

Not foolish or dangerous but it is insanity you retarded morons. It is insanity to continue talks with those who dont have guns in Pakistan.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Click on the NYT link, and follow the link at the bottom of the article which takes you to the editorial board. There is a familiar name there.
