In al Qaeda attack, lines between Pakistan military, militants blur

The early September dawn raid at a naval base in the southern city of Karachi...
the attack, claimed by al Qaeda's newly created South Asian wing, has highlighted the threat of militant infiltration into Pakistan's nuclear-armed military.
Most Pakistani military officials deny infiltration is a significant problem.
Imtiaz Gul, head of the Islamabad-based think-tank the Centre for Research and Security Studies, said senior generals were aware of a long-standing weakness in surveillance of military officials dismissed for extremism.

They have to start such monitoring from the likes of Aslam Beg, Hamid Gul, Mahmoud Ahmed, Ahmed Shuja Pasha, Kiyani et al. The list is very long even at top levels.

The reason for that is we were never allied with anyone to the extent Brishits and the Soviets were during Euro-Jap-WarII (known incorrectly as WW2).

We still are not "aligned" to anyone. The price we paid for that was huge, but I think I might have to hand it to Nehru on that one. His ideals were right on place, but implementation was screwed up. Bakis went the exact opposite way and now you can see where they are.

The Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding (IFGTB) here [Coimbatore] has made its own small contribution to help improve the country’s bi-lateral relations with Pakistan.

Lo and Behold, we are creating the next "Dr Aafia Siddiqui", this Aman ki Tamasha folks know no logic, they couldn't find an Indian for this cutting edge research? this lady could easily get roped into a bio-terror lab of the uniformed (or un-uniformed) Jihadis of Shitistan and target Desh. How on earth did this twat improce bi-lateral relations between Desh and Shitland other than by taking a seat in a research lab and sucking up resources.

Musharraf senses 'winds of change' in Pakistan :-?
Yeh Kahani Hai Mush orr Wind Dispersingstan Ki

KARACHI: Former president and military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf said Wednesday that he can sense ‘winds of change' blowing in Pakistan.Musharraf, appearing via video conference wearing a traditional Sindhi Ajrak shawl on his shoulders, was speaking to workers of his All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) in Karachi.“I can sense winds of change blowing in Pakistan. The demonstrators are within their right to protest; my sympathies are with them," he said. The PTI has been protesting against the government over allegations of rigging in the 2013 general elections, while Qadri has rallied supporters against what he calls Pakistan’s ‘flawed’ political system.
Speaking to supporters, Musharraf – who is also facing high treason charges and a number of other legal cases – said that he had returned to contest polls and bring political change to Pakistan.“Pakistan was in dire need of political change in the 2013 elections: a third force capable of good governance and able to steer the country to safer waters. This is why, despite all hurdles i decided to come back to Pakistan," he said. But he added that the legal and security threats he faced after his return were far greater than what he had anticipated. Musharraf said that even after five years since he stepped down, things had barely changed. The former military ruler said that he had ‘unconstitutionally’ been banned from contesting elections. He said that he would continue to defend himself in court against the treason charges and other legal cases until justice is served.

PAF fighter aircraft crashes near Quetta

QUETTA: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter aircraft crashed near Kuchlak, outskirt of Quetta, on Wednesday morning due to a technical fault. The pilot sustained minor injuries.

“The fighter aircraft on operational training mission crashed after it developed a fault. The pilot planned a successful ejection and was safely airlifted,” Air Commander Tariq Mehmood, spokesperson Pakistan Air Force, told The Express Tribune.

The Air Headquarter has ordered an inquiry into the incident to determine the exact cause of the crash.

“The aircraft crashed in a vacant area and there was no loss of life and property in the area,” he said.

So, no confirmation if it was a Bandar? Any sane nation would ground the entire fleet and conduct tests for airworthiness. Doubt if the pakis want to upset the chinibhais.

Some rona dhona from Pakis on India, ISRO, Mangalyaan

What became of Pakistan’s space programme?

...From being at the forefront of space exploration and development in Asia with the launch of Rehbar-I in the early 1960s, Pakistan today is far behind its neighbours including Iran, India and China....

:(( :((

Another one calling it Sputnik moment..some of the comments (as usual) and hilariously delusional.

http://tribune.com.pk/story/768827/rend ... h-the-red/

Samples these gems

Just because it is inconvenient for hindutava warriors, sensible people will not stop questioning this utterly shameful waste of aid money. I regularly donate to so many aid organizations working in Occupied Kashmir and elsewhere to help the pitiable plight of indian muslims, conveniently forgotten by their own government for 67 years. So I have every right to protest this wasteful trip to a dead lump of rock, millions of miles away.

**> Does it bother us when countries like

Iran or Algeria or Nigeria make
substantial investments in their space
programme?**

No it doesn’t – because these countries don’t invest at the cost of feeding there minorities, and no oppressed minorities from these countries try to flee to Pakistan as a result. In india’s case though, such systematic diversion of aid money meant for poor muslims will soon leave Pakistan with a refugee crisis a hundred times worse than the afghan refugee crisis – so we have every right to protest. Hope that clears it up for the learned professor.

More takleef from the Pakis after reading this piece..

http://tribune.com.pk/story/769310/dole ... -no-model/

“We as a nation have rejected poverty and the Indian nation seems to have embraced it.” This was how the late economic genius of Pakistan Dr Mahbubul Haq explained to a curios group of visiting Indian journalists, why as opposed to a seemingly ‘shining’ Pakistan, India looked so ‘drab’. ..
...

One way of overcoming these shortcomings is to go around the world with a hat in hand. This we have been doing since independence, but have done nothing with all the dole received so far, other than to create false affluence. More of the same is not going to make us behave differently.

One abdul comments

I have been observing over the days, ever since the so called success of “mars mission” of inidia, certain sections of our media is playing up and indirectly praising and all of a sudden highlighting positive news about india! Please stop doing this. it only discourage our children....we will regain very fast overtake india.

Regarding, the PAF fighter crash, are you sure it s a JF-17 and not the F-16 Pak taliban had claimed to have taken down?? I am suspicious since the ejection seat worked. There are public information regarding JF-17;s, they might be more or less hanger queens which are pulled out for public display purposes.

Before you Yindoos gloat.... Baki pilot had planned a successful ejection and engaged in a successful test of the ejection system. Hence this does not qualify as a crash! All mission objectives have been met - erection, ejaculation, ejection. Misfortunately, the pilot did not embrace shadat to enjoy his 72 virgins in paradise, but has to settle for the 4 goats in his home. However, he is now still available for jihad fistula - this is VICTORY! :D

Pakistan's water rights: Senate panel wants ex-Indus water commissioner arrested

By Zahid Gishkori

Published: October 1, 2014 ISLAMABAD:
Urging the government to discuss water rights issue with India, the Senate standing committee on Cabinet Secretariat has sought the immediate arrest of former Indus water commissioner Jamaat Ali Shah for not protecting Pakistan’s water rights.

The Senate committee, while discussing issues relating to floods, and rehabilitation of earthquake victims on Wednesday, said Shah was reponsible for the country’s water woes.

“The government should have arrested Jamaat Ali Shah. He is the man behind Pakistan’s waters woes,” accused panel chairperson Kalsoom Parveen.

Parveen added that India was constructing more dams in Indian held Kashmir in violation of the Indus Water Treaty and other international agreements between the two countries.

Shah was removed from office in 2010 after being accused of not protecting the country’s water rights as he allegedly did not pursue the case put forward by Pakistan against the construction of the Kishenganga dam by India on the Neelam River.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had registered a case against Shah for allegedly acting as an agent of India by allowing it to build the Nimoo Bazgo Dam. However, he had left for Canada by then.

According to sources, the FIA and Pakistan’s intelligence agencies believed Shah acted maliciously to allow India a ‘free hand’ to build the 57-metre high hydropower project in Leh district, which some believe caused great damage to the water interests of the country.

The federal government is reportedly in contact with Interpol for repatriation of Shah from Canada. …………………….

I just posted my comment on his (f)article... please jump in guys...
This peace park plan is all humbug... India and Pakistan used to vacate their positions during Winter and return back to their respective positions along the LOC ONLY in mid spring... what happened, Kargil where Pakistani troops under the garb of mujahideen occupied Indian positions and inturded deep into India. They had to be vacated paying the price in blood. After this if the author is expecting India to trust Pakistan with Peace plan he needs to get his head checked. in 1948 Pakistan agreed (in the UN) to vacate all occupied territories upto pre Aug 1947 position in exchange for India to conduct a plebisite in the entire Jammu Kashmir State. Pakistan reneged on this... In 1971-72 in the Shimla agreement Pakistan made a dozen promises and not kept any... Musharaf made many, NS made many and all this had not produced any results...

Spelling mistakes are intentional

16 air hostesses, crew of Pakistan airline disappear in Canada

Karachi: At least 16 air hostesses and cabin crew members of Pakistan's national carrier have disappeared in the last five months in Canada after going there on international flights.

Four air hostesses of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) last month failed to show up for their return flights after disappearing from the hotel in which the flight crew members were staying, Ary News channel reported.

The channel said that a spokesman of the PIA had confirmed that in the last five months air hostesses and women cabin crew members had slipped away after flying to Canada on PIA flights.
.........
The cash-strapped airline has some 17,000 employees but just 36 aircraft, and 10 of them are grounded due to a lack of spare parts.

TV-Smashing Army Chief Seen Keeping Pakistan PM On Edge

Aboard a private bus heading to the funeral of a Pakistani army instructor, Raheel Sharif fumed as a small television set showed provocative dancers. Finally he took matters into his own hands.

He stood, smashed the screen with some object and shouted ‘Don’t you guys have any decency? Families are sitting here and you screened such rubbish,’” Simon Sharaf, a former roommate of Sharif who witnessed the exchange back in 1993, said in an interview in Rawalpindi, home to the military’s headquarters. “Nobody dared to move or say anything.”
Two decades later, Raheel Sharif is keeping Pakistan’s civilian leaders on edge as army chief even as he refrains from seizing power in a country with a long history of military rule.

Akula class, Kilo class, Brahmos, Su 30, Mirage 2000, etc.

Why do you think Indians like importing arms? Kill two birds with one, rather expensive, stone.

'US terror sanctions list not binding on Pakistan' says the motormama with a $150 hair cut.

The Foreign Office on Thursday termed the United States' decision to designate three Pakistan-based organisations as terror groups a 'unilateral move' that does not apply to Pakistan.
the US' decision to declare three Pakistani-based organisations [as terror groups] does not apply to Pakistan
On Wednesday, the US Treasury Department slapped sanctions on two Pakistan-based terrorist organisations — LeT and Harakat ul-Mujahidin (HuM) — and froze the assets of their leaders.
In addition, the treasury department also named Muhammad Naeem Sheikh and Umair Naeem, whose Lahore-based businesses Abdul Hameed Shahab-ud-Din (AHSD) and Nia International were designated for providing financial support to LeT.

And, for good measure, the hag added:

Responding to a question about the demilitarisation of Siachin, the Aslam on Thursday said, “India's response on this Pakistani proposal is still awaited.”

India win hockey gold medal at Asian Games by beating STFUP 4-2 in penalty shootout.

Strange, you'd think that the Pakis would be good at shootouts after all that Ak-phyrr practice all over the country...

anupmisraJi, reality is that the BS US put out is only symbolic and puts TSP on notice. And Uncle's usual gambit of playing TSP and India with each other as the situation demands. Uncle and TSP both know that the biggest reward TSP got post 9/11 for helping round up the mighty Al Queda is that its strategic position (meaning pigLeTs and nukes) will not be altered unequivocally in India's favor, and this is also in Uncle's interests. Thus, periodically, Uncle dangles this threat as way of throwing TSP off balance. So that chic is right, other than irritating TSP, there is no muscle in these sanctions. From India's PoV, well, I guess any dog bone that US throws India's way visa vi TSP terror is better than none.

Seven killed, 11 injured in Peshawar bus explosion
At least seven people were killed and eleven others were injured on Thursday due to an explosion in a passenger coach in Peshawar's Bazid Khel area on Kohat Road.

Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital's (LRH) media spokesperson Jamil Shah confirmed Dawn that seven people were killed and eleven others were injured in the explosion. Some of the injured were said to be in critical condition.

The casualties were immediately shifted to LRH while rescue workers and the fire brigade staff were trying to control the fire.

The driver of the vehicle Shahidur Rehman said that they were heading towards Upper Kurram Agency from Peshawar and a man with an old bag was sitting at the back seat.

"The man got off the vehicle at Bazid Khel stop to get his relatives and as he stepped out, the explosion occurred," he said.
