Admission of state sponsored terrorism by Pakistani authorities

see this Der Spigel Interview where Musharraf admits to that.

On 7th Nov in TimesNow Channel, Tasneem Noorani, a former Secretary of the Pakistani Interior Ministry, openly said that.

Kiyani called the Haqqanis as strategic assets.

In Dec. 2008, President Zardari himself admitted to ISI helping LeT. He said,"The links between the Inter-Services Intelligence Agency and the LeT were developed in the old days when dictators used to run the country. After the 9/11 terror attacks in the US, things have changed to a great extent"

In an address to bureaucrats in July 2009, President Zardari said: "Militants and extremists were deliberately created and nurtured as a policy to achieve some short-term tactical objectives. Let us be truthful to ourselves and make a candid admission of the realities. The terrorists of today were the heroes of yesteryears until 9/11 occurred and they began to haunt us as well"

In Nov. 2009, Prime Minister Gilani admitted to the support for terrorism by Musharraf as "running with the hares and hunting with the hounds".

When Bush warned the Pakistanis in August 2008 of their support to Al Qaeda, Afrasiab Khattak, President of Awami National Party (ANP) said this: "The question is why it has taken the Americans so long to see what the ISI is doing. We’ve been telling them for years but they wouldn’t buy it.". See here.

In an interview to the BBC as far back as on Feb. 13, 1994, Benazir Bhutto admitted how she handed over to Rajiv Gandhi the complete list of Sikh activists colluding with the ISI in terrorism in the Punjab. Later, Nawaz Sharif described this interview as a faux pas.

Apart from these, of course, numerous Pakistani commentators, analysts, and editors have openly admitted to terror as a state policy.

Why Did Pakistan's Spy Chief Make a Secret Trip to China?
Quote:
Pasha's China trip has been interpreted by some as a tacit act of defiance—a reminder to his American counterparts that the Pakistanis can always look east to their “all-weather” friend across the Himalayas rather than bend the knee to the will of the U.S.

But it also may be a sign of China's growing disquiet with Pakistan. Another top-ranking Pakistani military officer, Lt. Gen Wahid Arshad, had already conducted a considerable tour of China just weeks ago in a bid to improve ties. A few analysts have suggested that Pasha's trip — couched in vague terms about building a “broad-based strategic dialogue” — may have been less a visit and more of a summons.
Quote:
Chinese officials claimed the attacks in Kashgar were authored by the shadowy East Turkestan Islamic Movement, a jihadist organization of mostly ethnic Uighurs, a Turkic Muslim minority that comprises the majority in the far-western Chinese region of Xinjiang. China routinely invokes the specter of the terrorist threat when cracking down on dissent in the restive region. Yet disturbances there tend to be triggered more often by social discontent — many Uighurs chafe at state policies they deem discriminatory and marginalizing — than militant connivance. Pasha's presence in Beijing may mark Beijing's continued efforts to root out Uighur dissidents and sympathizers beyond China's borders, as it has already done in Kazakhstan.

He needs to first drain the swamp that feeds these mosquitos. He is already working on cutting the media down to size. If the industrialist class can be weaned away from the socialist cabal in the consensus that is built up by the congress that will take the funding away from this class.

The industrialist class has no dog in this Track II boondoggle except for a few like the Ambanis who wield oversized influence in the decesion making, they need to be leaned on to further isolate the culprits.

News of operation zombi-e-zamzam
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/worl ... 396668.cms
. Critics of the army action are now describing it as Pashtun genocide in the name of war on Taliban.

Unlike the Swat operation, which was planned well in advance and announced by then Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, the North Waziristan operation took place as a knee-jerk reaction to the militant assault on Karachi airport the 8th of June. Even Pakistan's civilian government was caught by surprise when the army unilaterally announced operation in North Waziristan on the evening of June 15. In the event, the wrath fell on poor tribesmen of the region who got virtually no time to leave their homes, leaving behind their little wealth and belongings.

"The government should have informed us before the operation as it did in South Waziristan and Swat. The treatment given to us is unparalleled in Pakistan's history.

Memorial parade on the anniversary of the day when Pakistan was let out of India's rectum now in doubt
Army reluctant to march on D-Chowk over security concerns

Top guns in the federal government have put their heads together after the military leadership expressed its reservations over holding a parade at D-Chowk on Independence Day, putting the government’s plans of holding a ‘grand show of unity’ in jeopardy, Pakistan Today has learnt.
...
A source in the PML-N government confided in Pakistan Today that the General Headquarters (GHQ) has conveyed to the government that the army is currently focused on the operation against terrorists in North Waziristan Agency and holding a parade at D-Chowk might be a serious security risk.

The source said that the military leadership’s reluctance to march on D-Chowk has left the government ‘high and dry’ and a two-pronged strategy is now being considered to convince the army leadership to participate in the event, and to thwart the PTI’s rally in the federal capital.

Team set to visit India for riverfront project study
LAHORE: On the direction of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, a four-member delegation is set to start a three-day official tour to India on Sunday (today) to visit Sabarmati Riverfront Development Project (SRDP).It is one of the major developmental initiatives Indian premier Narendra Modi had accomplished during his tenure as chief minister of Gujarat.Indian riverfront model ‘close to Nawaz’s heart’“Since the LDA has initiated work related to feasibility of the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (RRUDP) under technical assistance of a foreign consultancy firm, the core objective of the delegation is to study the SRDP and replicate it (if viable) in Lahore,” says an official of the Punjab government.“The PM during various briefings on the RRUDP held from time to time at his residence at Jati Umrah (Raiwind) in Lahore asked the officials to visit India. At a very recent meeting, he (PM) again pushed the officials to go to India immediately and visit the SRDP in Ahmadabad and brief him on the project in next meeting,” the official said.“At Wagah-Attari border, officials of the Pakistan High Commission will receive the delegation at 10:30am on Sunday (today). They will reach Amritsar to get a direct flight for Delhi, where they will have a night stay.” He said that on July 21, the delegation would reach Ahmadabad where the officials of Muncipal Corporation would give it a briefing on the SRDP. Later, the delegation would visit the SRDP and hold meetings with the AMC officials. They would return to Delhi on July 22 and return home the next day.

India, Pakistan working overtime on pipeline project: Pakistan envoy - The Hindu
Pakistan has responded positively to the Indian proposal for gas and product pipelines to the country.

“I can assure you both sides are working overtime to hasten the process,” Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit said in a conversation with The Hindu on Friday. He stressed that Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif — a guest during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inaugural — had stated his intention to import 500 megawatts of power from India.

Optimistic

The Pakistani diplomat was optimistic that one or two projects could materialise quickly. “We are working towards it… [the experts are] hammering out technical details… some private players are also interested in exporting energy to Pakistan,” he observed.

Official sources said the gas would be first imported to the LNG terminal at Dahej on the south-west coast of Gujarat.

From there, it will be transported along the existing pipeline network to Jalandhar, which would become the transit hub for Pakistan, connected by a new 103-km pipeline, which Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) plans to build.

Besides, the new products pipeline proposes to transport diesel and kerosene from the Bhatinda refinery in Punjab to Lahore.[/b]

By Prabhu Chawla.
Instead of working towards a single mission, there has been a serious dissimilitude between Track I and Track II over the past decade. If the official line is to demolish terror camps working within Pakistan, Track II interlocutors have been espousing liberalising the visa regime and to give Pakistan free access to Indian market. PM Narendra Modi has been hinting at possible military intervention if terror attacks don’t stop, but India’s peacenik perambulators have been pleading for restraint so that they can grab more airmiles to Lahore for red carpet welcomes followed by biryani and bootleg Scotch. In fact, the new government is now examining the number of visits made by members of various think tanks to Pakistan and other countries, as well as their presentations. The idea is to ascertain whether these self-appointed ambassadors have taken a stand at variance with official policy. An analysis reveals that at none of the conferences or seminars in Pakistan did any of the Indian participants raise the issue of closing down terror camps. Strangely, many of these talking heads have much in common—conflict resolution, peace initiatives, terror and unknown sources of funding. The NDA government has started the process of identifying their financing patterns and ensuring that government funds are not being diverted through devious methods. They acquire legitimacy because Indian missions are obliged to organise receptions in their honour and even facilitate meetings with kindred souls in Pakistan. What has baffled senior ministers is that even after the change of regime in New Delhi, none of these interlocutors make it a point to brief the government before or after their visits, unlike their Pakistani counterparts.
Good that GoI has finally woken up.
Another revelation is that the number of these think tanks rose during UPA regime. Though it was Brijesh Mishra, a former diplomat and Principal Secretary to Atal Bihari Vajpayee— one of the most powerful ever—who encouraged Track II, the UPA under Manmohan Singh patronised legions of the intransigent interlocutors. Most were promoted by former diplomats and military officials, since serving officers who worked under them make it a point to oblige their former bosses by creating opportunities to indulge in non-stage diplomacy. This has dangerous implications. These retired diplomats get informal access to sensitive information from their colleagues in the government. There are many examples of individuals working as go-betweens for decades after their retirement—even after governments changed. The Track II establishment is so powerful that it can influence any government to follow its advice and ignore views of its ministers. Surprisingly, the composition of Track II phalanx defies any logic. It consists of individuals from all parties who are known for defiance of party or government line. Their only virtue is their consistency in keeping their honeymoon with Pakistan alive. They are found haunting residences of the Pakistan and UK High Commissioners and ambassadors of the US and China. They include senior media personalities known for their soft approach to Pakistan. But it is not that these think tanks are working only for a dialogue with Pakistan. Some have taken upon the responsibility of disarming the world by fighting against nuclear proliferation. Their only mission is to discourage India from becoming a nuclear power so that Western nuclear equipment manufacturing companies can capture Indian market. No wonder, their membership comprises those who share the doctrine of ideological junketing.
Surprisingly, these intellectual itinerants of both India and Pakistan are like MACs ( Mutual Admiration Clubs). They invite only those from each other’s country who are ideologically, culturally and politically compatible. For them, any change of government hardly makes a difference. An analysis of their writings or presentations reveals that all of them follow the same line of argument even if they come from different parties or outfits. They are so organised that if any non-MAC member makes a contrarian move, they move heaven and hell to gag the disagreeable point of view using their connections. Modi’s challenge is finding the right formula to dismantle the monstrous machinery, which has destabilised and undermined South Block with fraternal finesse. He has to take a call to merge both Tracks so that national interest prevails over culinary and travel preferences of retired apparatchiks who try to transcend oblivion with undying ambition.
Good article by Prabhu Chawla on Track 2 nonsense. Quite rare to see articles like this on track 2/3/4/.. in Indian media.

Review of book by Arif Jamal.
Image
http://tns.thenews.com.pk/brewing-jihad ... al-irshad/
A brewing jihad
Wajid Ali Syed July 20, 2014

A jaw-dropping account of the missions, men and madness involved in the Markaz Dawat wal Irshad’s transformation into a powerful Islamist militant syndicate
The general perception is that the global Jihad phenomenon in the modern world started with US geopolitical interests and opportunism backed with financing from the House of Saud to various Islamist militant groups.
This conventional wisdom has permeated because many of the books published in the last few decades on this subject focused on the biographies of Osama bin Laden and his ilk, or discussed the background of al-Qaeda and its founding in relation to Afghan jihad and terrorist attacks in the West.
The modern grand jihad did not start with Afghanistan, nor was it initiated by al-Qaeda. The Meccan rebellion in late 1979 was the first jihadist operation launched by a truly international Islamist group, Juhayman’s Ikhwan. The attempt to take over Mecca failed, and the Saudis executed the rebel leader, Juhayman al-Utyabi, and the self-anointed Mahdi, Muhammad bin Abdallah al Qahtani. Their story did not end there. In fact, it was just the beginning of an endless clash between religious zealots and the rest of the world. Very few understood that the global jihad extends far beyond Afghan war.
The Juhayman’s Ikhwan was based in Mecca, and its Salafist members were spread all over the world, from the Middle East to South Asia and the West, tirelessly spreading its ideology via a 438-page book of Juhayman’s epistles and attached commentary. The scripture became increasingly popular, creating a huge following which later, coincidentally, merged with al-Qaeda in the mid 1980s. Historians and avid journalists like Yaroslav Trofimov, Thomas Hegghammer and Stephane Lacroix, and Pascal Menoret sketched the origins, concepts, case failures and history of the organisation. What they could not figure out, in their scholarly books, was what would — or in this case did — eventually become of the organisation.
The Juhayman’s Ikhwan jihadi ideology remains intact even though the organisation mutated into two equally lethal groups: al-Qaeda and Markaz Dawat wal Irshad (MDI). The al-Qaeda threat, which has manifested in headline-grabbing attacks worldwide, continues to pose a challenge, but what happened to MDI and its very existence remained unexplored. The fate of this dangerous group is what Arif Jamal successfully explains, in chilling detail, in his exceptionally well-researched book, Call for Transnational Jihad: Lashkar-e-Taiba 1985-2014.
In the new book, Jamal explains how the Kashmir conflict is just a fraction of what is happening behind the scenes.
The book can be called a sequel to his first publication: Shadow War: The Untold Story of Jihad in Kashmir, that profiled and analysed the history of jihad in Kashmir and the role of the Pakistan army in shaping it. In the new book, he explains how the Kashmir conflict is just a fraction of what is happening behind the scenes. He digs deeper and even names the names of organisations and their inner connections with other terrorist groups.
Arif Jamal has written more than 350 investigative articles focusing on subjects as diverse as Islamist politics in Pakistan, jihad driven agendas, and funding sources of madrassas; the jaw-dropping accounts he describes in the new book are firmly based on various official publications of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), as well as his personal correspondence with the JuD leadership during his journalistic work in Pakistan. This gives his facts more credibility.
Arif Jamal is known for telling such unpublished and unexplored stories of jihad. The cover of the book has been taken from a recruitment pamphlet designed by the organisation. In the twelve chapters of the book, he covers missions, men and madness involved in the MDI’s transformation into a powerful Islamist militant syndicate. While the world considers al-Qaeda as its enemy and tries to leave no stone unturned to eliminate the threat, the MDI goes unnoticed.
It is interesting to note that while the al-Qaeda leadership mainly consists of Arab jihadists forming local cells, the MDI is led by more domestic, familiar faces reaching out to Arab and Western like-minded jihadists.Arif jamal book
The book explores how the surviving members of the Juhayman’s Ikhwan founded the MDI in Lahore, Pakistan. The group was established in 1987 as an idara to unite Salafists and Ahl-e-Hadith worldwide, with Allama Badiuddin Shah Rashidi (aka Pir Jhanday Shah, or Allama Rashdi for short) as its first Ameer.
Palestinian preacher Isam al Barqawi (aka Abu Mohammad al Maqdisi) popularised Juhayman’s ideology in the mujahideen camps in Afghanistan. His book, The Clear Proofs that the Saudi State is infidel, was a popular read among the jihadists. At that time, Hafiz Saeed was just the public face and spokesman for Juhayman’s Ikhwan in Pakistan until 1994 when a report on the Jihad-e-Hind Conference in Mujallah ad-Dawa called him the chief of MDI for the first time. The MDI was renamed as the Jamaat-ud-Dawa in December 2001, and often erroneously referred to as the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Like most Ahl-e-Hadith ulema, Hafiz Saeed, his colleague Zafar Iqbal, and their small group of followers had given little or no attention to the Afghan jihad until 1985. Both were teaching Islamic Studies at the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, and organised religious sermons for larger audiences. They formed Salafiyya Rising Engineers and organised Ahl-e-Hadith students. Both Hafiz Saeed and Zafar Iqbal had been indoctrinated in jihad during their stay in Saudi Arabia in the early 1980s. Zafar Iqbal came from a Barelvi family and converted to Salafism under the influence of Hafiz Abdullah Bahawalpuri. Hafiz Saeed, on the other hand, came from a very religious Ahl-e-Hadith family, and later married the daughter of Bahawalpuri, his maternal uncle.
The ideology of the family strengthened JuD and ultimately linked it with dozens of other world militant organisations in different countries like Afghanistan’s Jamaat ud Dawa ilal Quran awl Sunnah (JDQS) and Ittehad Islami, Great Britain’s Jamiat Ahyaul Minhajul Sunnah (aka Tehreek Minhajul Sunnah) and Jamiat Ahle Hadith, India’s SIMI and IM, Burma’s RSO, Philippines’ Moro Islamic Liberation Front of Philippines or MILF, Thailand’s Patani Islamic Liberation Front or PILF, Sudan’s Jamaat Ansar al-Sunnah al-Muhammadiyya, then Egypt, Nigeria and more than 90 other countries.
Resultantly, JuD’s role can be easily connected to jihadi stints in Chechnya, Tajikistan and Bosnia.
Besides other eye-opening facts, it was also revealing that the Bosnia jihad in 1992-1996, which was until now attributed to al-Qaeda, was conceived and led by Mahmoud Bahaziq, who was a member of the Juhayman’s Ikhwan and then top founder of the MDI/JuD.
Such was the reason that decades after the Mecca siege, Prince Khalid al Faisal, Governor of the province of Asir, acknowledged the existing jihadi threat, saying: “We have eliminated the individuals who committed the Juhayman crime, but we have overlooked the ideology that was behind the crime. We’ve let it spread in the country, ignoring it as if it did not exist.”
The book also examines the JuD’s overpowering status because the West has overlooked the group’s open activities, categorising it — wrongly — as a mainly South Asian problem. The book concludes that it could take only 24 hours if the JuD wanted to take over Lahore. Unlike other religious militant organisations, the JuD members are not some madrassa trained young students. Most of them are trained professionals and come from all walks of life, and have the ability to run a shadow government.
It also suggests that one of the reasons why the JuD has not rebelled against the Pakistani state is that its functionaries have penetrated the state apparatus, including the nuclear establishment. The world needs to consider JuD a serious formidable threat of the level of al-Qaeda. Ignoring the danger could result in even more 9/11s on a global scale.
Call for Transnational Jihad… is all you want to know about jihad that is brewing and spilling out of Pakistan. The book’s paperback is much awaited, since it is well worth a read and will reach as wide an audience with a lower price tag

Here I have a quibble.

Pakistan's power was gained with US aid. The JuD is a state supported Islamist organization. The Pakistani state will lose power if the US stops funding the Paki army, and if the Paki army loses power the JuD too will lose military power.

Finally if the whole world stands up against Pakistan, the situation will be much worse - because nation states under threat will not look kindly on forces of jihad. They will simply and mercilessly kill.

What might happen in Pakistan is what I had hoped for - that is an Islamist government will eventually take over. Such a government will hate India like all previous governments. But they will find it difficult to get US military aid unless they water down their anti-west Islamist tendencies. That has not been possible because Islamism by definition is anti kafir and that's not just India.

Pakistan first needs to become fully Islamic to fulfill its destiny. It will be interesting to watch how this jihad state will ally with the west as the "secular" Paki army does.

According to National Institute of Health, five new cases of polio include: two-year old Jaul Haq from Tehsil Miranshah, North Waziristan; one-and-a-half-year old Mariam from the same place; Fayaz, aged 1.5 years, from Tehsil Wana, South Waziristan; Maira, 2, from Laki Marwat and; Hamza, 21-month old, from Gadap Town, Karachi.
What is disturbing to note here is the fact that these kids had not been administered even a single dose of polio vaccination since their birth.

The fountainhead of Juhayman was Syed Qutb. Anyway, I want to state that the two equal mutations were joined at the hip. Abdullah Azzam was the mentor of OBL and was also a close associate of Hafeez Saeed. Hafeez Saeed is also a significant beneficiary of OBL's largesse and a great friend of his.

A rare sensible piece of writing by a Pakistani.
I feel bad and a little guilty saying it, but I’m not interested in the Palestinian crisis. There, I said it. * Exhale *

I don’t understand this outpouring of emotions for Palestine on Facebook. How come there weren’t any well designed posters shared on Facebook when 10 people were shot by police forces in Model Town, Lahore?

Why wasn’t Facebook overwhelmed with emotional anti-Taliban visuals when they attacked Karachi airport? Were we sleeping earlier or are we just tuned to only hate Israel? Do things going kaboom in our backyard not make us flinch? Or are we afraid of criticising the Taliban because they might be next door (while the Israelis are a safe 4,000 kilometres away)?

Why is Palestine our problem when we have so many of our own? …………………………

About the Archives of 1971 Genocide

Out of curiosity, I went to internet archives archive.org and searched for Bangladesh Genocide and was rewarded with a ton of material that said that the Sheikh Hasina government is committing "genocide" of Muslims in Bangladesh, but nothing at all on the 1971 genocide.

The original June 13, 1971 London Sunday Times Anthony Mascarenhas article which broke the story of the genocide is still google-able but barely. Image scans of the Sunday Times article are available, as also text-scans. The redoubtable Tarek Fatah (tarekfatah.org) whose health I understand is not the best, is maintaining a copy on his site. But there are no archives that have some sort of official, authentic status. It won't be surprising that in a fairly short time from now, the world has no memory at all of the '71 Holocaust and Pakistan's unrequited crime.

The image scan of the Mascarenhas article and its text version are now uploaded to archive.org. I request shiv to please add these links to the STFUP first-post (after independently verifying that the links work):

Sensible? Maybe, but still very much paki:

From the article:
We too can conquer the world, including Israel, once our own house is on order. Until then, we need to stop shouting at the world and focus on Pakistan.

From page/n1/mode/2up:

1. According to Anthony Mascarenhas : "...Hindus of East Bengal - who constitute about 10 per cent of the 75 Million Population ….”

2. According to Statistical Yearbook of Bangladesh 2010 the Hindu Population content according to the 1961 Census 18.5%, 1974 Census 13.5%, 1981 Census 12.1%, 1991 Census 10.5% and finally the 2001 Census it is 09.3%.

You can draw your own conclusions!

Upward move: Pakistan’s ICT sector to cross $10b mark, says P@SHA.

The current growth rate and employment trend indicate that Pakistan’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) industry will exceed the $10-billion mark within the next five years, Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and IT-enabled services said on its website.Though some industry experts were sceptical of these estimates, the industry’s representative body is optimistic that the ICT sector would exceed $11 billion in the next five years, especially the employment growth rate, which is over 41%.

According to P@SHA, the industry is already grossing over $2 billion a year, up from less than a billion dollars a few years ago. With most tech companies’ growth exceeding 30% a year, the country’s ICT sector is growing significantly.

From its nascent beginnings in the late 1980s, the industry has come a long way to the point where its value proposition is validated over and over again. “The largest players – members of P@SHA – are grossing between $15 million and $25 million in revenues :rotfl: and receiving $100 million valuations,” it says.

The country’s technology sector is fast becoming a hub of high performance business. “What other sectors and countries achieved in 15 to 20 years, Pakistan’s technology scene is poised to achieve in less than a decade. (Take that you Yindoos)

“Putting it all together, the Pakistani technology industry is very different from what it was in the early 1990s,” P@SHA said. From four founding companies in 1994, P@SHA’s current membership exceeds 370. The industry had 4,200 employees in 2004 while current employment is at 12,000. The employers expect a rise in employment growth rate to 50% this year to meet the demand.(Grand increase of 8000 in 10 years )

The aforesaid estimates come exclusively from members of P@SHA and exclude the earnings of tens of thousands of freelancers working in individual capacities. According to Pakistan Startup report, there are about 1 million freelancers working from Pakistan mainly via elance, oDesk and freelancer – world’s famous online market places that count Pakistan among top 5 freelancing nations.

“It’s hard to get the exact idea of how big the industry’s actual size may be. Those who are earning high don’t disclose their revenues for two reasons: personal security and the Federal Board of Revenue. It is common for Pakistanis to hide their incomes because of threats from extortionists, particularly in Karachi,” said P@SHA President Jehan Ara.

A lot of Islamabad statistics in play here. 12,000 total ICT professionals are bringing in $2 Billion in revenue. Gives per hour revenue per person of $88. Really!!!

One comment, Somehow I suspect that this particular article has an Indian intelligence/Indian government stamp on it.

i say this in the light of facts that have been brought out in the book "The Blood Telegram" by Gary Bass. Bass writes that the genocide was mainly a Hindu genocide, but the Indian government under Indira Gandhi did not want that fact to be known to the Indian public - expecting massive civil retaliation against Muslims.

In the June 1971 article above Mascarenhas paints a "secular" picture of the genocide -"Hindus AND Muslims" which is what makes me suspect an Indian hand.

Pakistani elders forbid fleeing women from collecting food aid
Some tribal elders in a city in northwest Pakistan have decreed that families fleeing a military offensive should not allow women to collect food aid, an elder said on Monday after Reuters saw him attacking women
If any woman comes to the ration distribution area, she will be punished," said Malik Kaleemullah
On Monday, a Reuters journalist saw Kaleemullah slap several women queuing for food at the main stadium in Bannu
Hundreds of others saw him
Kaleemullah, therefore, performed yeoman services in the service of his god (punishing women as proscribed in al kitab) and his tribe (by providing a sporting spectacle in the stadium for the enjoyment of his people who have been deprived of entertainment). Next step - flogging!!

Hmm... I try to avoid re-reading this article for obvious reasons, but IIRC M was pretty clear that the agenda was genocide of Hindus; Muslims were killed for not going along with the agenda.

6. Raga Hamir was originally Rage of Hamid
7. Raga Kafi was originally Rage of Kafir

See what I mean...?
Ahem.. minor correction only:

7. Raga Kafi was originally Rage of Kafir -- Rage against the kafir onlee. Who cares about rages OF the kafir.

A lesser known fact is the so-call Raga Kambojhi (which appears in both hindustani and carnatic versions of the kafir mujras), was actually Raga Kum-Bhaji -- a beautiful lament on the lack of grass to eat while standing in the stadium-e-queue while being beaten by the tribal elder. It is still staged in bakistan in its original glory.

KLN Murthy, thanks for posting. I have now added the two URLs to the first post under a new caption 'Pakistan and Genocide'. We can add there references to Balochistan, Waziristan and other future genocides waiting to happen.

Chinese envoy lauds ISI's anti-terror role - ToI
China's newly-appointed special envoy to Afghanistan on Monday defended Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) as "responsible force battling terrorism'' and ruled out its involvement in the recent attack on the Indian consulate in Herat.

"I think as an agency for the government and military of Pakistan, the ISI has been effective in fighting against terrorism," Sun Yuxi said at a presser a day before his Kabul visit.

"As for the specific [Herat] case, I have not been following regional developments for some time. I do believe that the Pakistan government or any responsible agency of Pakistan will only fight against terrorism instead of being involved with any terrorist groups,'' said Sun, who would visit Islamabad after his return from Kabul.

Sun rejected concerns suggesting China will work closely with Pakistani agencies including the ISI in Afghanistan. His comments come even as President Hamid Karzai blamed the LeT for the Herat attack on May 23 and amid concerns over ISI's destabilizing role in Afghanistan ahead of the US pullout.

The special envoy said he would maintain close working relationship with his Indian and Pakistani counterparts to contribute to peace and fighting terrorism. He claimed Islamabad would "play an important and positive role in the peaceful reconstruction of Afghanistan and fight terrorism''.

Sun, who has served as Chinese ambassador in India and Afghanistan, hoped New Delhi and Pakistan would work closely in Afghanistan. "I want to tell my colleagues from India and Pakistan that I know that both countries are making efforts to safeguard peace and stability and helping Afghanistan with reconstruction.'' {Pakistan, working for peace & reconstruction of Afghanistan? }

The special envoy said China's main concern remained Xinjiang's separatist East Turkestan Islamic Movement's links with al Qaida and terrorists groups in Afghanistan {He avoided Pakistan}.
So, a clean chit to ISI and this tells India what to expect from China as it endeavours to fill in the vacuum to be left behind by the US & NATO withdrawal. China will work closely with the ISI in Afghanistan.
