From the link posted by Anindya, and this is a report from The Hindu -
The police resorted to lathicharge to drive the youth away before their provocative slogans resulted in angry reactions.
The police seized 26 motorcycles and 10 autorickshaws left behind by the youth and Id revellers at Badkal Galli and adjoining areas. The motorcycles seized included eight from Shivaji Nagar.

So when these Jehadi gang tried their tricks, the locals of the area had come up in resistance. "Resulted in angry reactions", pretty much means that others in that area put up some resistance. From what I read in other news papers is that the people started stone pelting the Jehadi gang. The police had chased away the Jehadi gang for a change. Earlier there were arguments between the Jehadi elements in the procession and the police, because the Jehadi youth were trying to take routes which the police had not permitted them to take. And this Shivaji Nagar area seems to be the base camp for the Jehadi youngsters, and looks like the police are already aware of it.

If you ask me all is not lost. Even a "non-secular" government can bring in subtle differences. It may enable people to form groups to counter the Jehadis. The Muzzafar Nagar riots also I feel were a real eye-opener for the Jehadi lumpen elements, that resistance against them can also be absolutely brutal.

Crosspost from STFU thread: #Terrorboat incident: Someone posted this with a lot of confidence:
Since when did an explosion have white smoke? Curious to know that? The explosion from forward to aft in that boat indicates a boat rigged with lethal quantities of explosives to either blow on contact or has a remote controlled device for ignition on command from a certain radius. A spectrographic analysis of the explosion will indicate exact composition. Having handled various types of explosives for underwater ops and at TBRL Chandigarh test facility for warheads for the IN , I can confirm it is a blast of powerful TNT origin mixture like TGAG5 produced overseas.
Another interesting aspect about the boat house, didn't notice a Boat house in the pics. Was it meant to be sleek, with quarters below decks? Definitely something really suspicious. But can any expert confirm from the above statements if by pics/videos and spectral analysis we can confirm the nature of the explosives/ explosion? Also certainly fuel on board must have ignited too, so it would have that spectral signature too IMO.

Seems to be a minor one, with Mumbai Pulis quickly taking the situation into control. But we must appreciate the idiotic qualities of the reporter - "youth of one community coming back from Eid-Milad celeberations..". Yeah, so it must be the Jains and Iyers who would be coming back after attending the event. And if I read it right, the "peaceful" have got hit this time. The police also seems to be focusing more on the bikers (stopping them, checking documents etc.).

Sachinji, these joy ride bikers around Id is a pretty recent phenomenon. Earlier it was more "secular" i.e. genuine thugs (akin to stupid smugglers). Nowadays it appears as a show of force statement by particular community.

^^^Saw multiple such gangs in Hyderabad on Sunday when I was near the Old City area. Stopping public/traffic and waving flags in front of them until they are satisfied that they have shown their strength. Traffic police was just waiting by the side and waving them to move on to no effect.

Very poor sense of journalism from goras. We need to educate goras about correct ways of journalism.

I don't know Japanese to to tell you what they are reporting in Japanese language sites.

Asahi Shimbun (leftist) doesn't seem to have reported it.

I haven't checked the other English sites like Nikkei, Japan Times, Yomiuri Shimbun etc.

A couple of Japanese including a woman have messaged me privately on Facebook thanking me for the clarification I provided on my wall about Muslim rape habits in India.

The sad thing is that Hindus are scared to talk about it but everyone knows that Muslims are more prone to criminal acts in India and the disproportion probably increases even more for violent crime. If this had happened in the UK the media would have headlined it as Asian (i.e. Muslim) rape gangs, Westerners are careful to disassociate themselves from the criminality of their Muslim citizens but not Hindus. The result of course is that in international media Hindus take the blame for Muslim crimes in India.

@Surasena-ji,
Thanks for the clarification. Sorry I asked you about Japanese sites - I always had the impression (wrong, it seems) that you could read Japanese. And you are absolutely right about Hindus getting the blame for acts committed by Muslims in India.

Nageshksji,
In an appropriate thread, can you please explain, how pointing out the perpetrators are muslims and not hindus reduces the problem? I am not asking this rhetorically. For most Americans or Europeans, there is no difference between any Indian. Does the differentiation of crime help manage the Anti-Hindu rhetoric in media?

Ex-Punjab CM Beant Singh's killer arrested in Thailand - ToI
Thai police have arrested a fugitive Sikh terrorist who was involved in the assassination of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh and several others in 1995.

Thai National police spokesman Lt Gen Prawut Thawornsiri said 37-year-old Gurmeet Singh entered Thailand in October and was arrested in the eastern province of Chon Buri on Monday.

A team of Chon Buri provincial police and soldiers raided a house on Soi Mabyailia in tambon Nong Phreu in Bang Lamung district and arrested Singh, one of six Sikh militants convicted for the 1995 blast which also killed several others.

Officers also arrested Pakistani national Ali Alat, 48, the owner of the house. Alat said that he was not aware about Singh's criminal background. {The Paki is probably an ISI h

The two men were taken to Nong Phreu police station for interrogation.

"We had been following him for a while, but at one point he slipped off the radar," Prawut said.

Sources here said that Singh could have been travelling on a fake passport as the police said the "Pakistani" terrorist faces extradition to India.

Singh escaped from a high-security prison in 2004. The swift action followed a recent request by minister of state for home Kiren Rijiju to Thai authorities to help capture the terrorist. Rijiju made the request when he visited Bangkok late last year for a UN meet.

Last week the national police chief had announced that a special unit would be set up to target transnational criminal gangs operating in Thailand or using the country as a shelter.

Some foreign criminals and gangs consider Thailand to be a haven, including paedophiles, financial con men, electronic card skimmers, robbers, drug traffickers and terrorists.

Pol Maj Gen Nitipong Niamnoi, head of Chon Buri police, said Indian authorities had sought cooperation from Thailand, to help apprehend the suspect.

The Indian government had been in touch with Thai authorities to nab Jagtar "Tara" Singh, who had been hiding in Thailand for months and probably under another identity.

Beant Singh, who came to power as chief minister in 1992 and began crushing the Sikh militancy, was killed in the blast in 1995 claimed by the Khalistani Sikh terrorists.
If Singh was travelling on a fake Pakistani passport supplied to him by the ISI, Pakistan will demand extradition to TSP, as they did in the case involving Saudi Arabia.

Sixth arrest made in Japanese gang rape case
KOLKATA: A sixth person, working as a cleaner with the Indian Museum here, was arrested today in the Japanese tourist gang rape case, a senior Kolkata Police official said.

Mohammed Wasim was arrested by the detective department of Kolkata Police early this morning in connection with the case, Special Commissioner (Crime) of Kolkata Police, Pallab Kanti Ghosh said here.

This is the sixth arrest in the case. Earlier five persons, including two from Bihar's Gaya district, were arrested by the Kolkata police.

First to be arrested after the woman filed a complaint with the police on December 26 was Wasim Khan, who was picked up from the city, Ghosh said while giving the details.

Wasim, who spoke Japanese fluently, allegedly befriended the Japanese woman on November 20 and accompanied her to Gaya.

In Gaya, Wasim allegedly molested her and took away Rs 76,000 from her bank account before handing her over to siblings Javed Khan and Sajid Khan, who raped her repeatedly since November 26 to the end of December, Ghosh said.

Later, they put the girl in a bus bound for Varanasi, where she got in touch with her friends and contacted the Japanese consulate in Kolkata, according to Ghosh.

Based on the information gathered from Wasim, a joint team of Kolkata Police and Gaya Police arrested the brother duo from Taro village under Fathepur police station in Gaya district on January 2 and brought them to Kolkata on a transit remand.

On January 3, a city court remanded the two to judicial custody till January 9.

Two more persons Md Sabbir Khan and Shahid Iqbal were also arrested by the police based on the information given by the brother duo.

Beant assassin arrested in Thailand - Sarabjit Pandher, The Hindu

More info on the arrest posted earlier.
Jagtar Singh Tara, the Khalistani militant arrested in Thailand on Tuesday morning, will shortly be extradited to India and handed over to the Punjab police.

The top strategist of Babbar Khalsa International, convicted for his involvement in the assassination of then Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, was among the four persons who escaped from the high-security Burail Jail in Chandigarh by digging a tunnel in 2004.

Sources in the Punjab police said a special team that had gone to Thailand in September last to track down some terrorists spotted Tara.

However, he managed to escape the dragnet laid by Interpol and Thai and Malaysian agencies that worked on the leads from India, especially the Punjab police.

In November last, when another terrorist Ramandeep Singh alias Goldy was arrested and extradited to India from Malaysia, Inspector-General of Royal Malaysian Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar had said security forces would track down Tara too.

Tara was among the seven militants convicted for their involvement in the August 31, 1995 killing of Beant Singh in a suicide blast at the entrance of the Punjab and Haryana civil secretariat.

Tara was arrested a few days later.

Along with Jagtar Singh Hawara and Paramjit Singh Bheora, who were also convicted in the case, Tara and Dev Kumar carried out the sensational jail break. While Hawara and Bheora were nabbed, Tara remained at large.

NaMo sarkar (Modi-Doval-Rajnath trio) has had the opportunity to appoint New chiefs for CRPF, IB, RAW and ARC (Aviation Research Center - aerial wing of RAW). With this, we have an entirely new set of leaders for all central intelligence agencies and police force that are primarily responsible for internal security and counter terrorism. Also the 6 month honey moon period is over and the new sarkar is now comfortably settled in place with a new Raksha mantri as well. A new NSG chief is also set to assume power by May 2015. So everything has fallen into place for any major revamp in policy and/or procedure - strategic and/or tactical.

I don't think this is issue is connected with Internal Security in any manner, unless IT folks and their unions resort to rioting and terrorism which they have not done yet. There is a debate on this happening in the IT Industry thread in Economic forum (in BR only). The Indian laws and consituition etc. gives right for people to form unions or associations, and many other industries have done that. Whether that did good or bad is out of context for this thread any ways.

The union only helps political parties and the incompetents in most cases. But then as long as the competent ones refuse to join the union and are able to operate as free agents, it is all good, but all that the criminals needs is their foot in the union door to intimidate everyone to join the union. If law enforcement and justice systems improve to protect the odd individual that opts out, then unions are ok, but otherwise not. It is more a threat to the economy than internal security though.

As a sage wrote in the previous millenium...

This is a song about the union, friends
How they fu**ed you over and the way they bends
The rules to suit a special few
And you gets pooched every time the do

Once upon a time the idea was good
If only they'd a done what they said they would
It ain't no better, they's makin' it worse
The labor movement's got the mafia curse

Don't be no fool, don't be no dope
Common sense is your only hope
When the union tells you it's time to strike
Tell the mot*****cker to take a hike

Breakthrough in Bangalore blast case, 3 suspects have been arrested from Bhatkal.

Seems like areas like Bhatkal in karnataka, Azamgarh in UP, Darbhanga in Bihar & Burdwan in WB are terror hotspots. I hope Indian intelligence has a constant vigil on these 'known' terror hubs

Mean while, Bengaluru saw another riot two days back. A kid complained that her PT instructor at school had sexually abused her. The parents went to complain, and what happened next was that a large number of "locals" landed up on the scene, thrashed the PT instructor (who the police was desperately trying to put in their Hoysala Patrol vehicle) and destroyed the school property. The Hindu's reporting style immediately gave me indications on who the "locals" were. A couple of photographs also gave me further clues.
Girl child allegedly sexually assaulted
Bengaluru sexual assault case: JJ Nagar tense; uneasy calm
20 detained in connection with rioting at Hosa Guddadahalli, J.J. Nagar

PS: There are some rumours that the riot was stage-managed. The school building had been in litigation for quite some time, and there were people who wanted that property. What is a better way than to terrorise the school management through riots and force them to sell it off?

Terror in the Name of Christ in Northeast

Terror in the Name of Christ in Northeast

A list of the terror outfits in the North East that have found support from missionary groups or perpetrate terror in the name of Christianity.

A few years ago, the terms “Saffron terror” and “Hindu terror” were constructed. The media relentlessly excoriated Hindus and Hindutva outfits as being terrorists. Rahul Gandhi told a diplomat that he was more worried about Hindu terrorism than Islamic terrorism even though it was clearly proven that a huge amount of terrorism had been directed towards Hindus and Hinduism, both within India and without, to the extent that their demographics are changing with the media stubbornly refusing to take a note of it.

While there have been vociferous denials by the ‘secular’ media that Islam and terrorism are in anyway related, and there has been only a grudging admission that some Muslims have indeed committed terrorist activities, there has never been a clear focus on the terrorism by adherents of Christianity.

Indeed, there is almost a clear all-encompassing silence about terrorism perpetrated in the name of Christianity or terrorist outfits that have found support from Christian groups. Whether it is due to the alleged closeness between Church groups and our mainstream media or it is due to other reasons is a point for people to ponder over.

Indeed, the most telling statement in the above link is the remark of the Archbishop of Delhi in a church event, which we reproduce verbatim here:

“Inaugurating the two-day event, Most Rev Anil Couto, Archbishop of Delhi, spoke of the indispensability of the media in our evangelizing mission, for carrying out the command of the Lord to proclaim the good news to the ends of the earth in season and out of season. He said the committed leaders in this apostolate are the members of the Society of St Paul, carrying on the charisma given to them by Blessed James Alberione.”

The event was attended by former election commissioner Navin Chawla and journalist Anna Vetticad.

This article will give a brief overview of the various terrorist organisations in the Northeast that profess a Christian ideology and are claiming to work for Christians or have received support from organised Christian groups. The article is not exhaustive in its list of support; it is beyond the scope of an article.

Some of the groups have reasons not related to Christianity but they support these nefarious activities. I have focussed only on those acts that seem to have acquired a religious motivation.

The article took two baseline criteria for determining organised Christian support to terrorist organisations. The first is that the organisation must have been deemed a terrorist organisation by the Government of India and banned for more than five years continuously.Knee-jerk bans under political pressure or events have not been considered here.

Further, it must have documented funding from organised Christian groups, and/or must have expressed a Christian ideology and/or must profess to be working for Christians as reason for its terrorism.

With those two baseline criteria, the article starts from those that are currently banned and goes back to those that have been banned in the past, since 1947.

To begin with outfits currently banned by the government, one that has been in the news recently for the wrong reasons – the National Democratic Front for Bodoland (NDFB) was originally formed as the Bodo Security Force (BSF) in 1986, its goal was to resist the influx of immigrants into what it terms as Bodoland and expel all those it deems not native to Bodoland.

Among those it has attacked in the past include ‘tea tribes’ (the Santhals, Mundas and Oraons, who arrived from Jharkhand and (today’s) West Bengal during the British times), Bengali Muslims (and Bangladeshi Muslims too), Koch Rajbanshis and other Bodos (particularly those belonging to the surrendered, Hindu dominated Bodo Liberation Tigers Front). The full list of atrocities by the various factions of the NDFB can be found here.

The South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP) records the terrorist activities of all the South Asian terrorist organisations using information available in the public domain.

Even the Global Security website concedes that the NDFB is mostly Christian. NDFB, being strongly backed by Christian missionaries of the West, carried out large-scale religious conversion of the Bodos, to the extent that the rich culture of the Bodos was threatened.

The Hindu Bodos were isolated and some even forcefully converted under the influence of the missionaries-backed NDFB. Due to such activities, NDFB was able to attract significant funds from the west and pleased missionaries that they had M-16 guns with them. Even the ULFA who raised much more funds from Assam never had M-16 guns till very recent days.

The Bodoland struggle has also become polarised along religious lines, with the Hindu dominated, Bodo Liberation Tigers Force (BLTF) supporting the security forces against the Christian dominated NDFB[1].

Under influence of the Christian West, they have tried to de-Indianise their language by forcing people to adopt the Roman script for their language. On 19 August 2000, NDFB killed Bineshwar Brahma, the president of the Bodo Sahitya Academy, for using Devanagari script and refusing to adopt the Roman script for the Bodo language.

The NDFB charged that Bineshwar Brahma was an agent of the (then) Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at the Centre.
NDFB(S)

NDFB(S) cadre

Another prominent murder for the same reasons was the killing of Mohini Basumatary, the People’s Democratic Front MLA from Bijni in Bongaigaon district. The latest massacre on 23 December 2014 is also reported to have religious motives.

The tribal people were on the target of the NDFB(S) since the moment they started praising the RSS and tried to come into the Hindu fold. The Hindu nationalists were gaining hold on the North-East and a few days back the tribal children were seen praying under saffron flag. The NDFB(S) and other Christian outfits issued warning against them not to participate in such Hindu programmes[2].

Another terror outfit, the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), is a Tripuri nationalist organisation, which aims to liberate the state of Tripura from India.

Its claim is to represent all the native Tripuri tribes from ‘imperialism’ of Hindustan (in its constitution). It has carried out numerous attacks on non-Christian tribals, Hindu spiritual leaders, and Bengali Hindus.

The NLFT is accused of forcing Tripura’s indigenous tribes to become Christians and give up Hindu forms of worship in areas under their control.

In 1999, they issued a ban on the Hindu festivals of Durga Puja and Saraswati Puja. The NLFT manifesto says that they want to expand what they describe as the kingdom of God and Christ in Tripura.

The NLFT is accused of forcing Tripura’s indigenous tribes to become Christians and give up Hindu forms of worship in areas under their control and forcing indigenous tribes to give up their native forms of worship and convert to Christianity.

In 1999, the NLFT forbade the celebration of Saraswati Pooja and Durga Puja. The call to ban the Hindu festivals was repeated a year later, in 2000, too.

The government in Tripura says it has evidence that the state’s Baptist Church is involved in backing separatist rebels. Chief Minister Manik Sarkar of Tripura, who is from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)], said the state police had uncovered details of the alleged link after questioning a church leader. Nagmanlal Halam, secretary of the Noapara Baptist Church in Tripura, was arrested with a large quantity of explosives. In August 1999, they kidnapped 4 RSS pracharaks, held them for ransom, and later, murdered them.

At least 20 Hindu tribals, including a senior priest of the Jirania Ashram, Santi Kali Maharaj, have been killed by NLFT rebels in the past two years for disobeying orders.

A tribal Hindu spiritual leader has been killed by separatist rebels in Tripura. Police say about ten guerrillas belonging to the outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura, the NLFT, broke into a temple near the town of Jirania on Sunday night and shot dead Shanti Tripura, a popular Hindu preacher popularly known as Shanti Kali. The separatist group says it wants to convert all tribespeople in the state to Christianity.

They also butchered Hindu Bengali refugees in cold blood in the Bagber Refugee camp at Bagber in August 2001.

Then there is the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN). It was formed in 1980 opposing the Shillong accord with the Government of India. Due to internecine warfare, the NSCN has split into multiple factions. One such faction of the NSCN is led by Isak Swu and Thuingaleng Muivah. According to the SATP, the goal of the outfit is “The outfit aims to establish a ‘Greater Nagaland’ (‘Nagalim’ or the People’s Republic of Nagaland) based on Mao Tse Tung’s ideology. Its manifesto is based on the principle of Socialism for economic development and a spiritual outlook — ‘Nagaland for Christ’. The organisation has a long history of attacks against all non-Nagas (and a huge number of internal factional battles) in Nagaland too.

Some factions of the NSCN have declared a ceasefire with the government and have now been unbanned. Nevertheless, for a long time, the NSCN factions and their parent organisation, the NNC have been banned by the government, and have indulged in large scale terror. Indeed, none of the other groups come anywhere close to the kind of terror unleashed by the NNC and the NSCN groups.

The professed goal of wanting to create a Nagaland for Christ should be sufficient to establish the connection to the church. However, I adduce more evidence. The original NNC (Naga Nationalist Council) recognised two religions — Christianity and Naga religions. However, the NSCN (IM) faction dropped the Naga religion from the list of its recognised religions[3].

The very first mission maintained an adversarial relationship with the native Naga faith and when the Christians had increased in sufficient numbers, imposed a no observance of tribal customs and festivals[4]. Missionaries forbade consumption of indigenous wine (zam), which according to Vashum was a vital component of their native culture[5], thus imposing their own version of prohibition.

The NSCN-K official Wangdong Chaktey has ordered that no Rangsomhum could be constructed in any village of that area. Neither, the followers of Rangfra faith can take any religious and cultural activity anywhere. Shri Jamatia says further that when Wangjam Chaktey and Kamjam Hangphuk, the priest and secretary respectively of Rangfra Administrative Council (RAC) of Kothung village could not comply with orders of NSCN-K, they were summoned to their designated camp located in nearby jungle. There, the priest Wangjam Chaktey, 75, was tied in a post and tortured for four hours from 11 am to 3 pm on 11 January. Earlier, the same militant official of NSCN-K had issued similar threat letter on 30 October 2010 to stop all the religious activities of Rangfra religion.

Again on 1 February that year, Kamjam Hangphuk was kidnapped and retained in their designated camp for six days till 6 February. He was thoroughly beaten there and was released only when Rs 65,000 in cash was paid and a pig worth Rs 10,000 was given to him. This is with an intention of converting the followers of Rangfra religion into Christianity and integrating Changlang and Tirap districts of Arunachal Pradesh into their proposed “Greater Nagaland”.

British reverend Michael Scott supplied lethal weapons packed in Red Cross boxes to NNC militants. This politically motivated Reverend was later expelled from the country because of his anti-India activities by then Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. With the help of international Church organisations and foreign NGOs, NSCN (IM) has several support centres in the Netherlands, Thailand, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, South Korea, Australia, England, Philippines, Sweden, Belgium and the US.

NSCN factions get financial support from churches. An article written by JP Rajkhowa, a former Chief Secretary of Assam, appeared in The Sentinel on 12 May 2008 spoke of its links with the World Council of Churches. More link of churches with terror outfits can be found in “Baptist Agenda for Peace in Nagalim, India,” an exposition by George Conklin.

Tikhak Buddhists of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday observed Buddha Purnima under the vigil of security forces. An armed group, said to belong to the NSCN-IM, has allegedly threatened them to convert to Christianity or face dire consequences. “The people in Wangnong and nearby villages have been passing sleepless nights. They are all Buddhists. An armed militant group belonging to the NSCN(IM) has ordered them to convert to Christianity,” said Ven Aggadhamma, the highest religious leader of the Buddhists in Changlang and Tirap districts.

The Mizo National Front (MNF) is not a terrorist organisation now. It is very much a political force. However, we have included it here, since it was a terrorist organisation for a long time, from the 1960s to early 1980s. The MNF, which evolved out of the problems associated with a famine, “aimed at establishing a sovereign Christian nation for the Mizos”.

An explosion ripped through a temple, on the premises of the 26th battalion of Assam Rifles here on Thursday (23 May 2013), when the opposition Mizo National Front organised `Milem Biak Duhloh Kawngzawh’ or `anti-idol worshipping rally.’ The MNF was also instrumental in the expulsion of the mostly Hindu-animist Bru (Reang) tribe. About 29,000 Bru tribals were expelled from Mizoram. No steps have been taken to rehabilitate them in the state of Mizoram.

The series of “Quit Mizoram” notices served by the MNF to non-Mizos since the 70s started including relaxations from May 1982 onwards. Those who went to church, and were Mongoloids were allowed to stay back in Mizoram.

There are several other terrorist groups of the NE that are (or have been) on more than nodding terms with the Christian organisations. We list some others in this section.

The Bhuvan Pahar, one of the most holy places in Barak valley of Assam has come under the threat of miscreants for last two months… Gun totting members of a newly formed militant organization, namely, Manmasi National Christian Army (MNCA), comprising about fifteen rebels, has been forcing the Hindu residents of Bhuvan Pahar, under the threat of gun to convert to Christianity.

This came to the notice of Sonai police station, which along with the 5th Assam Rifles, conducted a search operation, which led to the arrest of 13 miscreants, including their commander-in-chief. Two SBBL guns and a country made pistol along with sufficient quantity of ammunition were seized from their possession. All the miscreants were handed over to Sonai police for further investigation. These groups of miscreants dressed in black with a red cross on their back along with arms enter from Tipaimukh area through Barak River by boat and mount over Bhuvan Pahar.

They threaten and ask the Hindu people of Tezpur village, including the priest of the Hindu temple to convert into Christianity. The problem began when Hmar miscreants stated themselves to be the members of Manmasi National Christian Army and had started putting pressure on the Hindu residents of Bhuvan Pahar to become Christian. The local residents informed that Manmasi National Christian Army cadres had painted Cross symbol on the wall of the temples with their blood.

The Hmar People’s Convention – Democracy (HPC-D) which purports to protect the rights of the Hmar Christians and is fighting the Hindu Dimasas, has inflicted numerous assaults on the Dimasas, including torching their homes, and executing them in cold blood. The HPC-D has also been collecting money from US based groups for protecting Hmar Christians. A bomb explosion in the ISKCON Krishna temple in Imphal, which killed 5, and injured over 50 others was attributed to Christian Kuki terror outfits.

More to the point, the North East of India is totally ignored by all outside it. Reams of paper and litres of ink have been expended on the terrorists professing to work in the name of Islam.

The heartbreaking experience of the Kashmiri Pandits, who were expelled from their homeland has received far more attention than the equally tragic expulsion of the Reangs from Mizoram, although the numbers of affected Reangs was not insubstantial. This article is intended to raise awareness on the various terror groups of the north east, their activities and what those portend in future.

Blast in Kolkata's Dumdum Cantt railway station, 2 children injured
Safiq and Saharukh were playing when they found the abandoned bag. As they unzipped the bag and found a tiffin box inside, they tried to open it but it exploded, injuring the duo, Superintendent of Railway Police (SRP) Debashis Baig said. The two injured children have been rushed to the R G Kar Medical College Hospital in Kolkata.

The blast took place near platform number 2, where a tiffin box with a circuit has been found. A bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot as there were two more bombs inside the bag found at gate number 2.

According to initial reports, the blast took place when a rag picker was sifting through the garbage dump just outside gate number 2 of the station. The security forces also found three more crude bombs lying in the heap of garbage.

Excellent article from swarajyamag

Religious Crusades of CIA
Earlier, in 1963-64, Wendy Doniger had also been sent to India for a year on a $6000 fellowship (this was thirty percent more than the median annual income in the US) to the American Institute of Indian Studies which would eventually come to be known as a CIA front. The US had set up many front organisations in the academia as part of the National Defense Education Act of 1958 and AIIS was one such institution.
Lots ofinteresting stuff.

Slow-ticking timebomb, not even 50 years left before a 5,000 year old civilization is gone.

Folks-looks like religious crusades of the CIA article has been removed. Page returns a 404 error.

This seems to be the reason, though there is no explanation for the behaviour.

may be that crusade article was too hot to handle.
It has spilled plenty of beans, and causing too much
heartburns in some quarters.
But thanks for the cached version. saved it now for wider dissemination.

That cached version is also now gone. So it is very clear that the article has ruffled some thick feathers.
Krishnan-ji, is it possible to post the pdf version at BRF site?
