Rohingya refugees making a beeline for Kerala; RPF on alert
Mark my words, if these folks manage to enter Kerala state borders, rest assured the current GoKL would ensure that they are allowed to camp where ever they want. Because the government gets another chance to "impress" the Kerala Muslim community.

This is a complete breakdown of internal security. This means that Islamic charities are smuggling in Rohingyas into India and settling them wherever Muslims have demographic clout and the political dispensation is favorable e.g. J&K, WB, KL. If the internal security was working I would expect a few arrests by now.

Railways alerts RPF over Rohingya exodus to Kerala.

Acting on intelligence inputs from the Railway Board, the Southern Railway has directed RPF units across all divisions to watch out for movement of huge number of Rohingyas travelling from northeastern states to Kerala, and hand them over to local police.

A letter has been sent by the chief security commissioner of Southern Railways to the divisional security commissioners of Chennai, Madurai, Salem, Trivandrum, Palaghat, and Tiruchirapalli on Wednesday. A RPF officer said the alert spoke exclusively about Rohingya movement from the northeast to Kerala.

The letter has given a [url]list of 14 trains originating from states such as West Bengal and Assam with destinations spread across Tamil Nadu and Kerala[/u].

All Rohingyas are travelling in groups along with their families,” the letter has stated. The list of trains include, the Santragachi-Chennai Central Antyodaya Express, Howrah-Kanyakumari Express, Howrah Mail, Guwahati-Trivandrum Superfast Express, and Shalimar-Trivandrum Express.

These are the trains preferred by skilled and unskilled labourers of northeastern states to travel to Kerala and Tamil Nadu all through the year. The letter, which wanted officers be sensitised to the issue, said: “If found in these trains, they may be handed over to the local police. An action taken report should be sent.”

A senior RPF officer confirmed that railway board had indicated a security risk over Rohingya after which the alert was sounded off.

Rohingyas are an ethnic Muslim minority group from Myanmar’s Rakhine province. Thousands fled Myanmar to take refuge in neighbouring countries such as India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday called all Rohingyas 'illegal immigrants' and directed the state governments to monitor their movements to enable their deportation to Myanmar. In August last year, junior home minister Kiren Rijju said the government wanted to deport 40,000 Rohingya Muslims from the country.

International agencies have requested India to adopt a more humane approach to the Rohingya.

‘Doomsday chemical’ seized, ‘US-hating’ scholar arrested.

In an operation spread over a week, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) with the help of a team of scientists from Defence Research & Development Establishment busted an illegal laboratory in Indore and recovered 9 kg of a deadly synthetic opioid, fentanyl, that could have potentially killed 4-5 million people.

Run by a local businessman and a “US-hating” PhD “scholar chemist”, the fentanyl seizure, first in India, has raised security concerns in Delhi as the chemical can cause large-scale casualties if used in chemical warfare, a scenario reminiscent of the plot in Alistair Maclean’s thriller “Satan Bug”. A Mexican national has also been arrested.

“Fentanyl is 50 times more potent than heroin and even inhaling its particles can be fatal. This is the first significant seizure of Fentanyl by any law enforcement agency in India. It is a landmark and unique seizure as DRI has been able to thwart first attempts to manufacture this toxic drug in India,” said D P Dash, DG, DRI.

The discovery has baffled scientists because manufacturing the drug requires the kind of expertise which is available only to trained scientists and high-end research laboratories. It is a controlled substance used with other medication for anaesthesia and pain relief.

The drug spreads easily. Absorbed through the skin or inhaled accidentally, just 2mg two milligrams of Fentanyl is enough to kill a person.

A team of experienced scientists dealing with protection against chemical and biological warfare were called from the DRDE, a defence laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), to confirm and authenticate the seizure of Fentanyl last week.

A 100 times stronger than morphine, the value of the narcotic seized is Rs 110 crore. Usually Fentanyl is trafficked by drug syndicates to US where it fetches a high street price and is sold as pills mixed with other chemicals.

Sources said, quoting estimates made by US authorities, that more than 20,000 people have died by overdose of Fentanyl in US in 2016. “The common street names of Fantanyl pills is Apache, China Girl, China Town,” said agency sources.

Recently, the Mexican drug cartels have started using India as a base to manufacture the lethal drug, shifting operations from China where a crackdown has begun.

Indian authorities are tracking the procurement of precursor chemical 4ANPP which is used to manufacture the deadly Fentanyl. Till recently it was smuggled from China but it is not known how this has infiltrated into the illegal Indian market. “If 4ANPP is not available, Fentanyl can be manufactured using another precursor chemical NPP but it requires advanced skills,” sources said.

This is serious. I hope the GOI would conducts a thorough investigation.I am sure if the US hating scholar is Malsic then there would be links to Paki/ISI/D Company in this drug operation.

The centre has done what it could do. That is collect the intelligence on the Rohingya movement and inform the agency under its control, the Railway Protection Force. Now the RPF has a major constraint; its charter is to protect railway assets and not law enforcement. For enforcing the other laws on trains state police details their own men; known as the Govt. Railway Police (GRP). The circular issued is detailed and clearly asks RPF to make sure that such people if identified can be detained and to be handed over to GRP.

There are few Islamic pockets in KL which is now known to all and sundry. And these people once they land up in KL would all land up there. These pockets are the same ones in which Bangladeshi Muslim illegals also manage to settle down. There has been at least two known brutal murders (one with rape) in this area all committed by Bangladeshi illegals. But if the state goverment (under whose perview is law enforcement) does not want to take a holistic approach only they can be blamed. People of KL deserve what ever the Bangladeshi illegals give to them.

Three including Mexican arrested with drugs worth over Rs 100 crore in MP
The accused, Jorge Solis (43), the Mexican national, and Mohammed Sadiq (59) and Manu Gupta (45), both residents of Indore
According to DRI sources fentanyl hydrochloride was being manufactured illicitly at a factory run Sadiq, which produces laboratory chemicals and scientific instruments.

There are a number of bulk drug manufacturing facilities that have little (legal) work. It is sort of known that many end up producing things like ICE, LSD etc. This could be similar, producing a highly controlled substance for sale in other countries...

The alert from IB on Rohingyas were 100% true..
Rohingya refugees taken into custody in T’vm. But there are also reports in local dailies that the Rohingyas have also changed their strategy. They are now de-training at either small way side stations, or de-training before the state border and then crossing over by foot. So the responsibility of kicking them out is now firmly with GoKL and Kerala Police (with inputs coming from central agencies).

SHOCKING. Original deposition before the US Court in the matter of Ghulam Nabi Fai, CONVICTED for running KAC, an NGO funded by the ISI.

"Gautam Navakhla was introduced to an ISI general for recruitment by Fai at the ISI’s direction."

Per twitter, this guy gautam navlakha is a colleague of the hizzonner's wife, a fellow traveller and also a regular visitor to the hizzonner's house.

How can a lower court over rule the orders of a superior court, no less than the SC itself.

The Mah govt has already filed an appeal in the SC.

Suspected spy for Pakistan's ISI arrested at BrahMos unit in Nagpur; accused charged for allegedly leaking missile secrets

Suspected spy for Pakistan's ISI arrested at BrahMos unit in Nagpur; accused charged for allegedly leaking missile secrets

India FP Staff Oct 08, 2018.

Teams of the Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squads (ATS) on Monday arrested a man on charges of spying at the BrahMos Aerospace unit in Maharashtra's Nagpur. The accused, identified as Nishant Agrawal, had been working at the BrahMos Aerospace unit for four years, News18 reported.

According to reports, Agrawal is a suspected agent for Pakistan's spy agency, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). He has been booked under the Official Secrets Act for allegedly leaking technical secrets to the neighbouring country. The accused was caught in a joint operation by the Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra ATS, Times Now reported.

The facility of the Defence Research and Development Organisation where Agrawal was caught manufactures propellents, or fuel, for BrahMos missiles, which are the fastest cruise missiles in the world. These are medium-range, supersonic missiles that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land.

Agarwal is believed to have got access to sensitive information on India's missile systems, according to the Times Now report. The two ATS units are looking into the details of the suspected spy's connections and modus operandi.

Aseem Arun, IG of Uttar Pradesh ATS, said that the police had found "very sensitive information" on Agarwal's computer, and had evidence of him chatting on Facebook with Pakistan-based accounts.

This comes less than a month after the Uttar Pradesh ATS, on 18 September, had arrested a soldier of the Border Security Force on charges of sharing vital information with Pakistan ISI agents. Achutanand Misra, hailing from Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district, was "honey-trapped" into sharing information about unit operational details, the police academy and training centre by a woman who claimed to be a defence reporter.

That German uni Rec. is classic massa modus operandi, with collaborators from pissfuls (joint operation) . Look at the Malsi influence in beard. Per TOilet he was working for brahmos from past 4 years .

This is chance caught as reaveled by other papers on isi agent caught and his investigation let to this traitor along with two other DRDO folks.

What is worrisome is name of DRDO folks kept secure. Looks like it was a big ring, hope to catch more traitors.

Added Later : According to times now the two scientists he was working with worked for the DMSRDE lab in Kanpur are under lens.

This from Mumbai

Bomb assembled in a shanty goes off in Antop Hill, two held

Two men were arrested Sunday afternoon from Antop Hill after a bomb they were assembling went off accidentally, injuring one of them.

Eye-witnesses said the explosion was so loud that it was heard in a radius of 1 km and it sent household articles tumbling down in the shanties in its vicinity.

The bomb was loaded with ballbearings, nails and glass shards, a typical terrorist hack to maximise fatalities.

One of the two arrested has been identified as Azrul Shaikh, 22, while the identity of the other has been withheld by the police because he is a minor. Preliminary investigations have revealed that both worked for BEST and MTNL as contract labourers, mainly involved in digging trenches for electric wires. The two — both natives of West Bengal — had moved in with Shaikh’s aunt at Noora Bazaar on Garib Nawaz Road in Antop Hill last week.

So Justice Sachar (of the Sachar committee) was part of the Fai-ISI events in the US? With Gautam Navlakha and Angana Chatterji.
This committee was asking even Indian army for "religious demography." #ISI would want to know. Setup by UPA soon after 2004.

The lot in DRDO would have been made public after making sure the entire ring is rounded up or their use was exhausted.

They would have been under surveillance, feed false info and their access reduced. As DRDO's role increases and we go local, it is given that it will be heavily targeted.

GoI needs to firm up security protocols in R&D & defence production units including private entities.

More spyware build into electronics from China..

Yet India is sourcing critical components for a ton of Telecom and telemetry equipment from China.

New Evidence Of Chinese Spy Hardware Found By Ex-Mossad Investigators; Super Micro Shares Plunge

A major US telecommunications company found "manipulated" hardware from Super Micro Computer Inc. in its network in August - bolstering claims in a Bloomberg report last week alleging that China installed bugging devices on hardware bought by Apple, Amazon and a host of other companies.

According to a new report by Bloomberg, the unnamed telecom company hired former Israeli Intelligence Corps security expert Yossi Appleboum, now of Maryland-based Sepio Systems, who provided "documents, analysis and other evidence of the discovery" following last week's report detailing how China's intelligence agencies had ordered subcontractors to install malicious chips in Super Micro motherboards between 2013 and 2015.

Bloomberg is not identifying the company due to Appleboum’s nondisclosure agreement with the client. Unusual communications from a Supermicro server and a subsequent physical inspection revealed an implant built into the server’s Ethernet connector, a component that's used to attach network cables to the computer, Appleboum said. -Bloomberg

A $30,000 IT job in Canada lured BrahMos engineer Nishant Aggarwal in ISI web.

For Nishant Aggarwal, the lure of a $30,000/month IT job in Canada was too much to resist. So, when as part of the offer, he was asked for “specimens” of his work at the BrahMos missile project, the young scientist immediately complied.

That proved to be the folly of Nishant, the engineer with BrahMos Aerospace Pvt Ltd who was arrested for sharing crucial details of the supersonic missile project with Pakistani agents.

I am sure that many would have been on FB from his workplace. Did not the lab or anyone think to take action?? His photos there were very suggestive and even a moron could see that it was highly inappropriate for a defence "scientist" to behave like that.

$30,000 IT job in Canada lured BrahMos engineer Nishant Aggarwal in ISI web.

This is the most obvious way to gathering information from someone working in a company of interest. You get the information from Linkedin, invite him for a interview for a overseas job. The guy has to answer the questions asked in the interview, else he is not going to get the overseas job he is after!

Once you get the basic information in the interview, the guy is trapped. You can then blackmail him for more information. You can gather phenomenal level of info about a org in a job interview.

The thing is people in such roles some times don't realize the sensitivity of their roles. Specially for India, where a culture of security clearance is not prevalent in the defence production industry.

In US or UK, anyone working for any project related to Government has to achieve a level of security clearance. This process drills in to them the sensitivity of their roles. And it is not a easy clearance to get.

The fault lies solely on Brahmos corporation. Atleast in services, the security aspect is drilled in the men & woman. Brahmos must be running the company like a usual government department. No security clearance process, recruit mamaji's beta or padoshi ki biwi etc.

Our defence r&d & production org, even in private sector needs to have security clearance & classification process defined.

How many of us can find someone working in Skunks works on Linkedin?

How many DRDO/HAL/CSIR scientists/engineers post on these kinds of boards? Very small number and even the folks who post, do it very rarely. Yes, the grasp of seriousness of sensitive info in India is probably not at the level it is desired but trust me, it is very hard to get info out of folks. The openness & willing to talk by engineers manning various booths in AI etc., AFAIK start & stop there. I've been told in some DRDO labs, even for folks working on projects (contract engineers) etc., info is compartmentalized. Many info is shared on need to know basis because the scientists are also aware that there is no scope for contract engineers to be absorbed and they will be looking out for opportunities outside by attending interviews which is an easy way for sensitive info to leak unintentionally.

Don't mean to offend you, saar.

This is just not true.

Open forum precludes my going any further on this topic.

Suffice it to say that many are purposely posting such provocative profiles in the hopes of snagging a "good" job and many retirees are walking away with highly classified info in the hopes of landing a "consultancy"

Industry guys are always on the lookout for such "knowledgeable" guys, hoping to parlay such finds into profits. Both sides hope to profit from such a deal. In fact, many industry guys pick and choose the "inputs" that they deem necessary to land contracts and many retirees "oblige" accordingly.

Don't get fooled by what happens at the AI. This is not the norm. The guys who have the knowledge to answer your questions are never at the stalls and nor will they ever be.

Is it any surprise that various countries are very active in such a "commercial" environment??

Good to see the Police were alert

Scottish national arrested for flying drone near Mumbai airport

A 30-year-old Scottish national was arrested by the Santa Cruz police on Friday for flying a drone without permission. The accused, Tom Jauncey, is co-founder of the creative agency 'Beautiful Destinations' and had come to Mumbai to videograph the inauguration ceremony of a basketball ground in Matunga.

A police officer from Santacruz police chowky saw a foreign national flying a drone nearby. The officer informed his seniors, who reached the spot and hauled Jauncey to the police station.

The cops have also seized his drone for further investigation. During interrogation, the cops learnt that Jauncey had planned to videograph important tourist destinations in Mumbai.

Unmanned aircraft operated in India require an Unique Identification Number (UIN) which is issued from the DGCA. This is granted only to citizens of India, or a company or body that is registered and has its principal place of business in India, its chairman and 2/3rds of directors are citizens of India and its ownership and effective control is in the hands of Indian nationals.

Something which seems to ignored, the Politicians who in India support the Bharat ko Tukde Tukde through Khalistan, Moaism, Dravida Nadu, Anti North Indian Riots, Various North East India Insurgencies all somehow seem connected to BIF forces including Pakistan's ISI yet a large section of Indians are aligned with them. It is this eco system which is India's greatest security challenge.
