Agree. But they have to to have strategies where the fight is taken into enemy camps even if it is not open.

Just like cleanliness, security is another idea that has to be drilled into people.

Just like Swatch Bharat, we also need Suraksh Bharat theme

Burdwan blast is strange. State and center polices are at variance. Must be political at root of the matter.

Police looking for 3 absconding persons.

State claims its a Bangladeshi outfit

NIA says its SIMI and Bangladeshi outfit.

I think its TMC sponsored Bangladeshi jihadis with Sarada chit fund scam

TMC upper echelons/just like their CPIM predecessors have not even a handle on this. They vaguely know whats going on, but cant do anything because anyone going against the mullah-network will immediately be targeted by everyone else seeking to gain politically, maintain their cadre out of the usual business proceeds of jihadi network-mafiosi.

Its done at grassroots/regional level although at a much higher level of organizational finesse and also transnational compared to localized TMC/CPIM even Congress.

BS about it being a BD outfit. Of course it is also BD, also WB, also Bihari, also Nepali, also Indian, also non-Indian. Its a part of the network. Burdwan links the frontier district of Murshidabad, touches on the Ganga, is a premier rice-producer, has old bases of Islam, has ancient further links to the west through to Jharkhand - manbhum/singhbhum/Bankura/purulia sector - eventually to south bihar/Mahadeo hills.

Hopefully folks taking potshots at my earlier comments on mullahfication and jihadi networks spanning the border, and the relative impunity with which they operate - should sit up and ponder.

And of course in one of the most productive (sometimes called the grain-basket of WB) districts, with large landholding Muslim landlords (yes in spite of so-called reforms), with almost 30 years of uninterrupted secular rule, and now Muslims enrolled in large numbers with ruling regime - no excuses can be constructed about "saffron terror/lack of development onlee/" for the urge to make IED's with women roped in into supportive roles.

Muslims have the same modus-operandi everywhere on the planet: Form a pack (at least 1,000 people) and then attack smaller groups of 10 or 20 people. (When alone, they don't confront directly. They hide and kill by bomb blasts, stabbing, etc. But it is important for them for the opponent to be in a weak position. They cower in front of strong opposition.)

Muslims always need overwhelming numbers to operate, that is why they remain in a concentrated mass by forming ghettos. Mosques are the command and control centers to coordinate and guide the actions of the Muslim mob. After studying the role of mosques in mobilization of Muslims, I realized how critical these buildings are in orientating them and keeping them focused. Remove the mosques and they become totally disoriented and dazed. They can't think for themselves -- they need an authority or person above them to issue commands that they can execute in the field.

We need to realize that there is a unique, age-old Military strategy that is in DNA of Muslim societies. If you study this strategy, you will find it easy to defeat them and preempt their moves in advance. You will also begun to understand why they (i) live in ghettos, (ii) try to build mosques everywhere and (iii) try to increase their population through over-breeding or mass migration to particular target areas.

Had a chat with Polish coworker and they have some situation there in Poland. Catholics form close to 95% of the population in Poland and Muslims maybe 1 to 2. Or less. He said Muslims are very peacefully going around suggesting that Muhammad and Jesus were eternal friends. I simply responded wait till you see their population cross 5% threshold and they will speak up and declare followers of Jesus as "Kafirs".

Burdwan Blast: CID lodges cases under UAPA
The CID, which is investigating the Burdwan blast that left two suspected terrorists dead, today lodged cases and accused under the UAPA Act, state Home Secretary Basudeb Banerjee said. "All the accused and the cases of the Burdwan blast have been lodged under the UAPA act. Apart from the cases lodged under UAPA, the cases which were lodged under IPC intially are also there," Banerjee told PTI. Four persons, including two women, have been arrested in connection with the October 2 blast at Khagragarh in Burdwan.

UAPA sections 16 (punishment for terrorist act), 18 (punishment for conspiracy), 18A (punishment for organising terrorist training camps), 19 (punishment for harbouring or concealing, or attempting to harbour or conceal any person knowing that such person is a terrorist) and 20 (punishment for being member of terrorist gang or organisation) have been slapped against them. IPC sections 121A (conspiracy to wage war, or attempting to wage war, or abetting waging of war, against the Government of India), 122 (collecting arms etc with intention of waging war against the Government of India) and 123 (concealing with intent to facilitate design to wage war) had been slapped against the four initially.

In that case the Central Govt. has to be formally notified of this incident. And Central Govt. can initiate an NIA or a CBI enquiry on this. The same Act was used when commies murdered an RSS activist in Kerala. Now that case is going to be investigated by CBI (though I see CBI is working on a snail's pace in the case).

Burdwan: Bibi & Bibi were part of female hit squad
KOLKATA: Rumi Bibi and Amina Bibi and the three yet-to-be-identified women who put up at the 'IED factory' at Burdwan's Khagragarh and Baburbagh were part of Jammat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh's female "hit squad" that was formed 10 years ago, say security sources.

The secretive squad has only 25 members and is trained to execute grenade attacks. However, their main duties involve religious teaching and indoctrination, say sources.

...
The women cell's existence was first known in 2009 when Bangladesh police arrested a number of alleged Jammat female terrorists. The outfit was involved in suicide attacks in 2005 when they triggered blasts in 63 of the 64 districts.

The Khagraghar squad members were initiated by Simi operative Haroon Rashid, who was arrested by STF in Sealdah towards end-2012, say the sources. The women were asked to recruit Indians as the Sheikh Hasina government was stepping up pressure in Bangladesh, the sources say. The women are tech-savvy, as is evident from a Skype ID found in Shakil's second hideout at Babubagh in Burdwan.

Interrogations of top Jammat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh operative Maulana Saidur last year revealed that in 2010 the outfit had managed to establish presence in three West Bengal districts-Malda, Nadia and Murshidabad-and had around 25 Indian and Bangladeshi members.

...
They chose Khagragarh in Burdwan although it is hundreds of miles from the border and Beldanga (85km from the border) because there are over 400 madrassas in these areas. Also, people here are well educated and the localities are thickly populated.

Beldanga a key transit point in terror route
KOLKATA/BELDANGA: Murshidabad, for long a hub of fake currency, is now on the terror map. Security agencies are focusing particularly on Beldanga — once a bastion of the banned SIMI.

CID says Shakil Ahmed, the Bangladeshi 'terrorist' killed in the Burdwan blast, and his wife Rumi Bibi lived here for two-and-a-half years during which they sent IEDs across the border.

That the terror tentacles are spread far and wide became apparent yet again on Wednesday when police arrested an imam — Maulana Anwar Khan alias Afsar — and six others for alleged involvement in an arms racket. Murshidabad SP Humayun Kabir said they seized 2 pistols of 7.62 caliber, 6 pipe guns, 2 muskets 17 bullets and fake currency.

Police don't rule out the possibility of these men being involved with a Bangladeshi terror group. "Maulana Anwar hails from Nadia's Chitkapota and moved to Rezinagar, Murshidabad, in 1998. He has been Saharanpur in UP, bordering Azamgarh, from where several terror sympathizers have been nabbed in the past six years. His role in the Kahgragarh blast is being probed since the distance from this place to Beldanga is barely 12 km," said an officer.

Why is Murshidabad — or Beldanga — so important in the terror axis? Lashkar-e-Toiba leader Abdul Karim Tunda, wanted in 26 bombings across India, has several relatives here. Every time Tunda sneaked into India, he put up in one of the "safe hideouts" here, say police. With links to HuJI-Bangladesh and Jamaat-e-Islami, Tunda is likely to be questioned at Tihar jail regarding the Burdwan blast.

Beldanga — about 85 km from the Bangladesh border — is teeming with unrecognized educational institutions, an ideal recruitment ground, say police. It came as no wonder that names of a couple of madrassas were found in the Beldanga residence of Shakil.

Shakil had a burqa shop in Beldanga. CID found jihadist literature here. This is where terror operative Haroon began his terror activities. It is also in the same locality where SIMI president Mohd Misba-ul-Islam Misba hails from.

Beldanga also pops up on the IB radar as a gateway for arms and ammunition for Assam insurgent outfits. This soon after Safdar Nagori, head of SIMI's armed wing, spent close to five years here. In fact, IB believes that grenades prepared at the Khagragarh house were sent to Assam. SIMI, security agencies believe, is presently most active in Bengal and Assam.

SIMI is also reportedly recruiting for HuJI-B in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur, Allahabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ambedkar Nagar, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Sonauli, Ferozabad and Hathras areas. All the recruits are brought to Murshidabad before being pushed across the border.

Even Indian Mujahideen uses Murshidabad as a transit route for its cadres. IM terrorist Zahid Hussain, arrested in Kolkata for the 2010 Pune German Bakery blast, is a Bangladeshi and used to travel via Murshidabad, say sources.

Beldanga residents wonder how Shakil could rent five houses there despite police being aware that the zone was on the terror map. What's more, Shakil managed to build high walls without attracting any curiosity from the SIB.

One of Shakil's immediate neighbours said: "When police came to our para asking about Shakil around 4pm on Friday, there were suspicious men inside his house. One of them scurried away with two loaded bags after he was alerted to the police presence." The neighbour said they often saw unfamiliar faces at the rented house. "They always kept the gate locked and even blocked the rear entrance with sacks so that no one could get inside."

Every field has its training and apprenticeship programs. A huge security bonus awaits if all media (reporters, copywriter, talk show hosts, anchors, clerks annd executives and so on have a conscription poeriod of one year -- deployment away from home -- before they can be accredited. The frog comes out of the well, and people talking reporting will not treat most of the country as liberia/somalia.

Burdwan blast: Six youths held in Assam http://ibnlive.in.com/news/burdwan-blas ... 3-231.html
The two women divulged names of six youths arrested Friday, said sources.

Assam Police are also probing possible links of the six youths with the Bangladesh-based Islamic terror network Jamat-ul-Mujahideen, a highly placed official of Assam Police said Friday.

"Based on specific information, we have arrested these six youths for their involvement in the Burdwan blast. They were presented in the court today and were remanded in 14-day police custody by the court here," said the official.

The central government has already handed over the probe into the Burdwan blast to the National Investigating Agency (NIA) which has registered a case in this regard.

Several organisations, including the All Assam Students' Union (AASU), have been alleging that at least 14 Islamic terrorist outfits which have links with international Islamic terror network are operating in Assam.

"We have started the investigation and efforts are on to get some vital clues regarding the presence of Islamic terror network in Assam," said the official.

Burdwan Blast, Another suspected terrorist hideout unearthed in Dewandighi (Burdwan): Sources
http://www.hindustantimes.com/india-new ... 74129.aspx

Burdwan blast: Man tells cops his house may have been used as hideout
Manowar Sheikh, the owner of the house, told the police four persons — apparently, two couples — disappeared just after the blast at the Khagragor house. He said they remained out of reach on phone.

Hatudewan Pirtala is just about a km away from Burdwan police station.

The death of two persons — both Bangladeshis — in the explosion at the Khagragor house has brought to fore the possible existence of a terror network with wide roots in this south Bengal town.

The house in Khagragor and two more were used by terror elements involved in subversive activities aimed at the Sheikh Hasina government in Bangladesh.

The police were reluctant to comment on the probe, but locals told HT on Saturday that one Sheikh Taleb took the Hetudewan house on rent about a month-and-a-half ago at a monthly payment of Rs. 5,000.

Much like those living in the Khagragor house, the four in Hetudewan too avoided people of the locality.

“Sheikh Taleb told us he was a resident of Kirnahar, Birbhum,” said a local who did not want to be named.

After Manowar Sheikh told locals about the disappearance of the four, they advised him to contact the police. On Friday, the criminal investigation department (CID) sealed the house.

Muzaffarnagar mahapanchayat confirms religious polarization
by mohammad ali, thehindu.com
October 10th 2014

Even as the Muzaffarnagar police made a breakthrough in the triple murder case by arresting four suspects on Friday, a mahapanchayat organized in a Muzaffarnagar village to discuss the case, confirmed the extreme religious polarization in the region that was rocked by communal violence last year.

Bahadurpur village and the villages in its vicinity in Muzaffarnagar turned tense last week after three of its residents were murdered when they were returning from work.

In an explicit religious tone, Virender Singh, the convenor of the mahapanchayat said, “Muslims who killed the three labourers be brought to book and the administration should not try to save any of them.”

“These three victims were killed in retaliation of the last year’s communal riots. The manner in which the three victims were killed, can be done only be a particular group. A Hindu cannot kill anybody like this.”

The mahapanchayat failed to attract a decent turnout apparently because the three murdered men belong to the Jatav, Valmiki (both Dalit) and Kashyap communities.

The allegations made by the participants of the mahapanchayat are contrary to the version of the local police. Moreover, the tense situation might further deteriorate as all the four arrested by the police, are Muslim residents of the neighbouring Bilaspur village.

The mahapanchayat on the murder of three labourers comes ahead of the by-polls in the nearby Assembly Constituency of Kairana on October 15.

Rohitas Singh, in-charge of the Sikhera police station under which Bahadurpur falls, however, disagreed with the views of the mahapanchayat.

“The suspects — Gulfam, Mohsin, Anees and Yunus — are plain criminals and they did not see if they were killing Hindu or Muslims,” he said.

“During our preliminary investigation we have found that they have also looted and harmed Muslims too in the past,” he emphasised.

“The suspects are professional junk dealers who have also been involved in some serious criminal activities in the past. They wanted to loot these labourers returning late from work. We have found the cycle of victims, stolen from them,” said Mr. Singh.

Bardhaman blast: NIA probe leads to J&K, Tamil Nadu, Kerala
NEW DELHI: The probe into the Bardhaman blast, now being handled by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), is pointing to a bigger plot extending not just to neighbouring Assam, but also to Jammu & Kashmir and the southern states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The NIA has, based on leads gathered from the three women arrested from the site of the October 2 blast, picked up a suspect from J&K — a construction worker belonging to West Bengal.

The J&K suspect, to whom calls were made from the SIM cards seized from Rajira Bibi, wife of militant Shakil Ahmed killed in the blast, was found to be in touch with two other suspects in Birbhum, West Bengal. The NIA is now on the lookout for the duo.

Meanwhile, some arrests were made in Barpeta, Assam, on Friday. The Assam Police claimed the arrested were linked to a module operating under the patronage of Jamatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).

Importantly, jihadist organization Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has also cropped up in the course of questioning of the suspects.

The agencies have found a picture of the ISIS flag downloaded a suspect's phones. Though the suspect claimed that the phone was being used by another person, who may have downloaded the flag, the NIA will be probing the angle further.

The discovery of grenades and bomb-making equipment from Bardhaman, as well as linkages across several states borne out by calls exchanged by suspects in Bardhaman with aides in far-off locations like J&K and even southern states, indicate elaborate planning and high level of preparations by JMB to carry out attacks in Bangladesh.

Intelligence agencies here believe that strikes were planned as retaliation against the Sheikh Hasina regime's crackdown on JMB elements.

NIA sleuths fear the suspects arrested so far and aides contacted across states by the militants are possibly foot soldiers. The probe will now focus on identifying the leaders of the module.

NIA begins blast probe by grilling Bardhman SP
BARDHMAN/ KOLKATA: In yet another blow for the Mamata Banerjee government, NIA began its Burdwan blast probe on Saturday by questioning the district SP for three hours over the state police's reluctance to allow NIA access to the Khagragarh blast site on the day of the incident.

A six-member NIA team, led by IGP Sanjeev Kumar Singh, asked SP SMH Meerza why he did not give NIA investigators access to the blast site even after getting calls from Singh and NIA SP Vikram Kharate. The questioning of Meerza comes a day after chief minister Mamata Banerjee vented her ire on the Centre's "unnecessary interference" in state issues.

Another NIA team inspected the Khagragarh blast site for 20 minutes in the evening where they video-graphed their initial findings. The investigators also stopped by Bardhman sadar police station because the blast site is within its jurisdiction. Local cops had destroyed the seized IEDs before central agencies could arrive, and blocked not only an NIA team but also Military Intelligence, triggering allegations of tampering with evidence.

While the NIA heat on Bardhman police is likely to heighten tension between the Centre and the state, the Bardhman blast probe took a new dimension on Saturday morning with the seizure of more than 1,000 detonators and 2,797 gelatin sticks in the former Maoist stronghold of Jangalmahal and the discovery of yet another terrorist hideout in Bardhman .

The explosives were found in a car intercepted near Sanka railway crossing in Raghunathpur. It had come from Odisha and was headed for Purulia's Burrabazar. Two carriers — Seikh Sahabul and Paresh Mudi — have been booked under Indian Explosives Act and police are investigating any possible links with the terror module. The duo claimed they had procured the consignment in Raghunathpur's Lidih village and were to deliver it to an illegal stone quarry.

Burdwan continues to be the focus of a multi-pronged investigation with more evidence emerging that it may be a major hub of the terror network. Police on Saturday identified a fourth possible terror den in Hatudewan area. NIA is trying to find out why the terror module chose hideouts far from the India-Bangladesh border.

Central agencies — IB in particular — believe that Jammat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) chose Bardhman because it gives easy access to explosives. "Bardhman district is close to collieries, many of which are illegal but use gelatin sticks. Procuring explosives thus became much easier for the module," said a source. This suspicion may have prompted Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) — the largest user of explosives in Bengal — to issue a statement that all their 100 magazine houses in the state and Jharkhand are safe and guarded by CISF and ECL's own security.

Second, since the area is far from the border, security is less strict and it is easier for a Bangladeshi to mingle with the population. "Here, distance from the border is not a disadvantage. Intelligence collection is less hectic in Burdwan than border districts like Murshidabad or Malda, where fake currency is a major concern," added the source.

Third, Burdwan offers excellent connectivity to south and North Bengal and the Northeast where the module was setting up a parallel base, say IB sources. " Bardhman is well connected by road and rail. It is also easy to enter Jharkhand from here in case the local police become active," said an officer.

Another reason for choosing Burdwan could be the fact that other districts on the Bengal terror map — Murshidabad, Nadia and Birbhum — are under the police scanner. JMB operative Maulana Saidur had confessed last year that the group had established a network in Murshidabad, Birbhum and Nadia. They were also aware that this information was exchanged by Bangladesh authorities with India so the new module was looking for a safe base to operate.

Finally, JMB's financial capabilities had shrunk after the Hasina government cracked down on the outfit last year. They needed to find "budget friendly" areas near towns where they could produce bombs and IEDs even as training and indoctrination continued in certain chosen educational institutes. The decision to stay with family — not seen in terror organizations like Indian Mujahideen — was a ruse to dodge scrutiny.

Sources say the module led by Shakil Ahmed Gazi had surveyed 15 locations before they selected the five found so far. "We won't be surprised if we discover more such hideouts around Burdwan town," said a source. NIA on Saturday got permission from a Burdwan court for custody of the suspects and to transfer the case to a Kolkata court.

Military Intelligence being involved with the probe is also significant. They are a very quiet service. No doubt that there is a Bangladesh connection then.

Bangladesh extremists finding shelter in W.B.? - Haroon Habib, The Hindu
Investigations of the October 2 explosion in Bardhaman have indicated that extremists may be taking shelter in West Bengal. One of those arrested — suspected of belonging to the banned Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh — allegedly confessed that bombs were being assembled for terror strikes across the border. {It may be that this was a common bomb factory supplying to both IM and the JMB}

Bangladesh’s elite anti-terror Rapid Action Battalion is currently verifying names and identities that have emerged from the Indian probe. Bangladesh Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said India had not yet officially provided the nationality of the two persons — suspected militants Shakil Ahmed and Sobhan Mandal — killed in the blast. “We are always against terrorism. We will not allow anyone to use our land to conduct militant or terrorist activities against our country or neighbouring India,” he said. Besides the two killed, one Hasan Saheb was injured in the blast; three persons — Rajira Bibi alias Rumi, Amina Bibi and Hafez Mollah alias Hasan — have been arrested. According to Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin, Indian investigating agencies have been asked to collate and tabulate information on the Bardhaman blast to be shared with Bangladesh.

The use of other foreign embassies by the West/US has been a long established practice.Indian security agencies must never forget that NATO nations are part of a mil. bloc and who share info. But the most clannish clique of all is the "5 eyes" clan of Anglo-Saxon nations, namely the US,UK,Canada,Oz and NZ.Norway also does a heap of dirty work for the same group. Here is a report how the NZ diplodocus establishments work for Uncle Sam as well.

NZ embassies involved in covert intelligence work for US - reports
Monday Oct 13, 2014
New Zealand's embassies have been involved in covert intelligence gathering work on behalf of the United States, a fresh batch of classified documents released by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden appear to show.

The 2003 list of "Exceptionally Controlled Information" which is itself classified top secret gives a brief rundown of various NSA intelligence gathering operations and their security codes and status.

Under the heading "Stateroom" the document describes the security classification that "restricts access to information about personnel involved in covert collection, processing and report of SIGINT [signals intelligence] from diplomatic missions abroad".

"This activity is conducted by USA, AUS, CAN, GBR and NZL", the document states.

Suspicions around New Zealand's involvement in signals intelligence gathering on behalf of the US National Security Agency were reinforced late last year when documents released by Mr Snowden revealed the existence of the Stateroom programme.

The documents showed the programme operated from sites at US embassies and consulates and from the diplomatic missions of intelligence partners in the so-called Five Eyes intelligence gathering and sharing network, including Australia, Britain and Canada.

It was reported at the time that activity linked to Stateroom saw Australian embassies in Jakarta, Bangkok, Hanoi, Beijing and Dili, and high commissions in Kuala Lumpur and Port Moresby operated surveillance collection facilities, in many cases with diplomats unaware of them.

The new documents leaked by Mr Snowden were published over the weekend on The Intercept website which is run partly by US journalist Glenn Greenwald.

Mr Greenwald promised to reveal details of New Zealand's involvement in spying on friendly countries and trade partners when he was in this country last month for Kim Dotcom's Moment of Truth.

THe center should dissolve WB assembly and declare governers rule. We look like the new "Bakis" for BD. Exporting terror from our soil using Didi's non-state actors. Officials destroying evidence and "hosing off" crime scene to maintain plausible deniability.

Why are "we" being blamed here? What's the fault of ordinary citizens? or even the Country? If you want to blame and demonize someone, demonize the terrorists and their dear didi for accomodating them.
