X posted from the political thread

this is where the "farmers" agitation is headed.

shaheenbagh-1 followed by shaheenbagh-2.

the next avatar, that one will be even worse.

the pakis and many gelf states were already into the hawala funding of shaheenbagh-1 and now additionally the chinese may have also entered the same hawala funding arena via shaheenbagh-2.

how do so many off shore supporters for some piddly half baked single state punjab "farmer's" agitation in India, including the govt in canada, and many MPs in the uk , australia, and spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, all supporting the so called "right" of the Indian "farmer" to protest. This is unheard of.

something evil is brewing and the BIF are orchestrating it from the shadows

within the week or two, these "farmer" protests will metastasize into a national security issue with violence and mayhem.
RVAIDYA2000@rvaidya2000·23h

Failure to recognize the so called farmer protest orchestrated by Naxals/Khalistanis is big for Govt--Let me repeat next is in TN with rump of LTTE/EVR virus jumping globally and then it will be RoP on a big scale supported by Turkey/Malaysia/Pak etc

Pre-emptive action needed

Delhi: SIMI terrorist absconding since 19 years nabbed, was radicalising and mobilising youth against CAA, NCR
As per police, Danish's parents were Hindus who had converted to Islam. He then converted to Islam and joined Jamia-Tul-Falah madarsa in Azamgarh and learned the Quran and Urdu.
OpIndia Staff, 7 December, 2020

58-year-old Abdullah Danish, a terrorist associated with the banned extremist organisation Students’ Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) was arrested by Delhi Police on Sunday. Danish, a native of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, was currently living in Zakir Nagar, Delhi. As per the police, he was one of the senior-most member of the banned outfit and had been involved in radicalising Muslim youth since past 25 years.
As per reports, police believes he radicalised two Muslim youths who carried out serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad in 2008. According to DCP (special cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah, Danish had also been involved in radicalising youth and mobilising them against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) which fast-tracks Indian citizenship for persecuted religious minorities from three neighbouring Islamic countries, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. He was also found using fake videos to falsely propagate that the Indian government is carrying out atrocities against Muslims.
Shortly after the 9/11 attack in New York, the Indian government had banned SIMI. Following the ban, the organisation had held a press conference in Delhi’s Jamia Nagar. Many members were arrested. However, Abdullah Danish had managed to flee. A case was registered against him in 2001 at New Friends Colony police station in Delhi when SIMI was banned. The Delhi Police, acting on specific input, laid a trap to arrest Danish at Zakir Nagar. Subsequently, he was arrested on Sunday night.

Frustration mounting on central govt paying a deaf ear to the torture of republic TV folks, and recent arrest of their CEO.

Its really frustrating to see Home ministry allowing redux of another Sadhvi/Purohit style torture of Hindu nationalists. Whether its asking Owaisi to give written permission to track Rohingyas in Hyderabad or paying a blind eye to the torture of Republic TV officials, Amit Shah & MoS Kishen Reddy are proving ineffective in supporting RW causes.

History of Sikh Separatism
Sikhs have always been honoured members of the Hindu society. The difference between Hindus and Sikhs has always been functional and never fundamental. But various secessionist and divisive forces have continuously tried to fuel the flames of Sikh separatism much before independence and their relentless efforts have started to bear fruits especially in the post-independence period. This article is an attempt to take a look at the elements that sowed the seeds of Sikh separatism and the various factors responsible for nurturing and nourishing it.

The British adopted the “Divide and rule” policy as they realized that their military power was insufficient to establish their rule in India. So they tried to create pockets of solid support for their regime and the Muslims were their favorites. One such pocket was provided by the Sikhs. They gave Sikhs the “minority status” like the Muslims and Christians and tried to separate Sikhs from the parent Hindu society by pronouncing Sikhism as a departure from Hinduism, just like Christianity from Judaism. Thus, it became easier for some Sikh theologians and scholars to proclaim that Sikhism was closer to the Abrahamic faiths than Hinduism. Some of the British even projected Sikhism as a sect of Islam.

These manipulative attempts resulted in subversion of Sikhism in the mould of monotheism and drawing a false equivalence with the Abrahamic faiths by equating the Adi Granth with the Koran and the Bible and the Sikh Gurus with prophets along with espousing of contempt for idolatry. The British said that Hinduism posed a danger to Sikhism and hence, the external marks of difference must be preserved at all costs. Sikhs who considered them as Hindus were fooled into believing that their behaviour was in direct opposition to the teachings of their Gurus. Many books were written and literature published which propounded this narrative. No wonder, Sikhism gradually started showing the same fanaticism and bigotry as Islam and Christianity. This scholarship had a silent, subtle and long-range influence which took some time to be propagated and served as the inspiration of subsequent Sikh intellectuals.

But the British government did not neglect the quicker administrative and political measures either. It developed a special Army policy which gave immediate results. The British had conquered Punjab with the help of Poorabiya soldiers. Many of them were Brahmins who turned rebellious in 1857. So the Sikhs were chosen in their place. In 1855, there were only 1500 Sikh soldiers but by 1910, the numbers had increased steeply and Sikhs constituted almost one-fifth of the total army strength. This was done to give them a sense of exclusiveness and they were encouraged to regard themselves as a totally distinct and separate nation. The British even congratulated themselves for preserving Sikhism as a separate religion.

Political organizations like Singh Sabhas and Chief Khalsa Diwan were established to provide political leadership to Sikhs while remaining loyal to the British. They spearheaded the movement of de-Hinduization of Sikhs and demanded recognition as a separate community. Earlier, Brahmins were working as priests and presiding over Sikh ceremonies. But they were expelled and a demand for separate rituals was made. In spite of all these efforts, only a small section of Sikhs believed that there was a distinct line of cleavage between Sikhism and Hinduism.

In the post-independence period, this movement saw greater success as the divisive forces which had laid low for some time reappeared. Minorities were encouraged to feel insecure and aggrieved. The minority stick came very handy in beating the majority Hindu community into shame. The works of the British which de-Hinduized the Sikhs were republished in the 1960s. The success of the Green revolution and various other factors ensured that the Sikhs became rich and prosperous. They no longer found the Hindu bond good enough for them and started seeking a new identity which was readily available to them in their names and outer symbols.

According to Shri Ram Swarup, when the Hindus tell the Sikhs “You have been our defenders”, it earns contempt in the present psychology because self-despisement and inferiority complex is the surest way of losing a friend or even a brother. It also gives the Sikhs an exaggerated sense of self-assessment. Also, the Islamic imperialists and Christian missionaries are looking at the Sikhs hopefully for support in order to mount a combined attack on Hindu society at present. This was also evident during the recent anti-CAA protests when some Sikhs fed langars to the jihadis of Shaheen Bagh and even opposed the implementation of CAA.

Inspite of many recent provocations, lapse and misunderstandings, Hindus and Sikhs have shown that they are one in blood, history, aspiration and interest. This age-old unity has proved to be the most solid support. But considering the separatist and divisive forces at work, this unity should not be taken for granted. It should be cherished, cultivated and re-emphasised.

In the words of Shri Ram Swarup, “We can grow great together; in separation, we can only hurt each other.”

SFI connection to Wistron iPhone factory violence; Police make arrests
https://www.ibtimes.co.in/sfi-connectio ... ils-831256
The vandalism that occurred at iPhone manufacturer Wistron's facility in Karnataka Kolar last week has been traced to the Students' Federation of India (SFI), an affiliate of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the police have arrested local SFI activist.

Kolar Rural Police on Thursday formally arrested SFI's Kolar taluk president Srikanth for allegedly instigating and the employees of Wistron, who were angry over non-payment of salaries, for the attck. Srikanth was detained earlier on Wednesday by the police.

Why SFI taluk president held?

The Kolar Rural Police officials, who are investigating the case, said Srikanth mobilised the employees, instigated them for protest and brought outsiders into the Wistron factory for the protest which turned violent.

Disgruntled over non-payment of salaries and payment of overtime work, employees of Wistron had approached Srikanth, seeking help to organise a protest. Srikanth curated a WhatsApp message that was circulated among the employees, according to local reports.

The police also said Srikanth and several other SFI activists allegedly entered the premises of Wistron on the morning of December 12 and were involved in organised violence and vandalism.

What happened on Dec 12?

On the morning of December 12, over 1,000 employees gathered outside the manufacturing unit of Wistron Pvt Ltd, a Taiwanese firm contracted by Apple for making iPhones in Karnataka's Kolar district, demanding outstanding salaries and overtime payment.

First, they met the HR Department and senior officials of the company with their demands. They staged a protest after the talks with the management failed and started pelting stones at the building, ransacking furniture and torching cars at the premises.

Over 150 people including employees and SFI workers have been arrested for the rioting. The police have registered an FIR against 7,000 unknown people, including 2,000 contract workers of the company. In the FIR, the company said it suffered losses and damages worth over Rs 437 crore.

What is SFI?

Students' Federation of India is the student wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) that is active on many campuses. SFI has won many elections of students' unions in several universities across the country. SFI's Aishe Ghosh is the current president of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) and another student leader Abhishek Nandan is currently the president of Hyderabad University Students' Union.

It's time to ban communists in India, just like in the US. They are harming our country and there is no benefit to our civilization for having them in our midst. They are nothing but subversion embedded into our system. Americans recognized this early and came down heavily to prevent this pernicious ideology from spreading in their country

Threema, A Much More Secure Messaging Platform Than Telegram And Signal, Being Used By IS Terrorists, Reveals NIA Probe

https://swarajyamag.com/insta/threema-a ... -nia-probe
...
The NIA during its probe into the Islamic State Iraq and Syria Khorasan Province (ISIS-KP) case has found that arrested accused Jahanzaib Sami Wani and his wife Hina Bashir Beigh and Bengaluru-based doctor Abdur Rahman aka 'Dr Brave' were using Threema, a secure messaging platform.

Wani and Beigh were arrested in March 2020, while Rahman in August.

In a statement on 12 January, an NIA spokesperson had said: "Till recently Rahman was in regular communication with ISIS terrorists located abroad as well as in India, including Sami on 'Threema', a secure messaging platform."

The revelations were made on Tuesday (12 January) when the anti-terror-probe agency filed a chargesheet against Rahman, who had returned from Syria in December 2013 and was misusing his medical knowledge to develop laser-guided missile system for the banned terror group.

According to NIA officials related to probe, who wished ro remain anonymous, said that Rahman was using his knowledge of ophthalmic lasers for developing a project on laser-guided system through which the trajectory of an unguided missiles can be changed with laser technology for the benefit of ISIS.

The official said that the "basic components" for such system are pulse transmitters and receivers, which are same or almost similar in flight circuits or ophthamology nanosecond lasers and could be used to guide missiles or rockets or payloads towards intended targets..

The NIA ISKP case is based on the one registered by Delhi Police's Special Cell in March 2020 after the arrest of Wani and his wife from Okhla Vihar in Jamia Nagar area here for alleged links with the the terror group.

The NIA had taken over the probe on 20 March 2020.

However, this is not the first time that the NIA has come across the secure messaging platform used by the IS terrorists as well as Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Toiba and Al Qaeda terrorists.

Earlier, the NIA has taken the help of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to crack the messages of the terrorists in connection with its probe into the February 2019 Pulawama terror attack case, in which 40 CRPF troopers were killed.

The NIA and the Intelligence Agencies in its probe had earlier found that Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist were using peer-to-peer software service -- YSMS -- or a similar mobile application to communicate with their counterparts in India and abroad.

An NIA source related to probe told IANS: "The terrorists are using Threema application as well as its desktop version as it leaves minimal digital footprint making it almost impossible to be traced back.

"Tracing of the message or call generated from the Threema are tough to locate."

According to NIA officials, Threema is a secure messaging platform which has been developed in Switzerland and is a paid open-source end-to-end encrypted instant messaging application for iPhone and Android smartphones.

The source said that on Threema like so many other secure applications, a user does not require to enter an email address or phone number to create an account, thus allowing the user to use the service with a very high level of anonymity.

The source said that Threema also hides all the tracks of the user as it minimises the footprint on servers that route traffic.

The source claimed that on Threema the contacts and messages are stored on user's device, instead of on the server.

He said that Threema offers text and voice messages, voice and video calls, groups and distribution lists as features in the application, thus allowing the terrorists to remain "untraced".

It seems like the traditional crowd control measures of barricades, tear gases etc., aren't very effective. These were witnessed in recent protests @ Hong Kong, last year Delhi Shaheenbagh, BLM & today...its time for law enforcement agencies to investigate on newer additional non-lethal measures which can have a much more promising outcome.

The current cement barricades (K rails) are a step up from traditional metal grid ones (which are more useful when throngs of crowds are involved) but what prevented Delhi Police to have a few bulldozers or heavy construction vehicles act as barricades? They are tall & strong enough to be prevented from tipping over (if needed use K-rails to act as a bolster on the opposing side) and can't be climbed over.

Dozens of sikh veterans on Twitter were showing full support to protesters since last few weeks, some were trying to justify the events even today. Few are conspicuous by their absence today while a few like that foul mouth Rupinder Dhillon are still supporting it.

They also did after bluestar when thousands of sikh armymen them were arrested and removed from army for mutiny. Hundreds were killed in pitched battles in many parts of north India and a lot of them crossed over to Pakistan from their posts on border. I know a few ex-servicemen who were part of units who faced the mutineers. Most of the information was suppressed at the time. A fairly large number of sikhs living in border area of Jammu, Rjauri and Poonch are shameless khalistanis. You'll see pictures of sikh terrorists in their houses, charity events and gurudwaras. One of biggest gurudwaras in Jammu city put up a poster of Bhindrawla only a few days back.

Fault lies with Hindus who put these idiot supremacists on a pedestal, visits their places of worship or donate to their organisations.

Reorganization along Zonal basis is far better than trying to muck around with quotas and other political bull$#!+.

Zonal basis works for Madras Regiment and MEG -- if Tamil Christian, Kerala Muslim and Telugu Hindu can live, work and fight as a cohesive unit, why can't Punjabi Sikh, Jammu Dogra, Haryanvi Jat and Kashmiri Muslim? Time to amalgamate J&K LI, J&K Rif, Punjab, Sikh, Sikh LI, Dogra, Ladakh Scouts and some Jat units into one "Northern Rifles". Simplify, streamline and strengthen all other units into similar five zonal-basis Rifles regiments: North, South, East, West and Central... and be done with it.

Zone basis reorg is workable.

The Infantry in particular has ethnic bias. Given the community behavior, disproportionate representation is a problem. The whole "martial race" crap has gone too far. The community comes with a sense of entitlement. That needs to be cut down.

Zonal basis reorg need to be there in every arm and service. It will do wonder for feeling on nationalism among other marginalized groups.

Actually, the stories of sikhs protecting India from invasions is a fable created by Hindus themselves for their own benefit and sikhs fell for those complements.

All said and done, the behavior of the Sikh community at present me has left me disillusioned.

My childhood friends from Air Force schools and KV's, the best and closest ones have been Sikhs. Two of my maternal aunts are from that community.
Won't post on BRF the color of the uniform I wore once. My best buddy from the course was a Sikh.

Always felt a certain kinship with them beyond family and friendly ties, as mine and theirs have been the communities that bled during the Pattition.

Today that sense of kinship and comradeship stands shattered.

Sikhs protecting Hindus from invasions is over exaggerated.
Sikhism grew only after Marathas started hammering Mughals. And it was the Marathas who fought Abdali in Panipat in 1761, not Sikhs.
Not to undermine what Sikhs did, but lets have factual perspective.

We must understand that the valiant Sikh community ,please do not denigrate the entire community, make a distinction between the agitators and the rest. The Sikhs have centuries of history and battles against many invaders,etcc.,incl. the British. They have been v.loyal and have excelled in every sphere of Indian history post- Independence.Milkha Singh, armed forces, etc., etc.
Most soldiers come from villages, have humble backgrounds and rise to eminence. Why veterans may support the farmers. This is what the babus sitting on their precious backsides fail to acknowledge or understand and not convey to their political masters.. The vast majority of Indians have their roots from rural areas and rural sentiment, family ties run v.deep and strong. The farmers life is blood, sweat, toil and tears.Look at the number of farmer suicides especially in M' rashtra, etc. The Sikhs by nature too are earthy, simple, very hospitable and make fantastic friends.
The myriad contours of political shennanigans aren't the strong pointof the rural folk.

The security authorities have failed in their anti-riot planning miserably. I tel. too. Thousands of tractors would simply storm through the makeshift barricades.Containers should've been filled with sandbags,no water cannons, no chains with spikes, etc. There was plenty of time to have organised effective defences at critical points. Atleast they were stopped at the IPO point. Good work there. However the storming of the Red Fort, raising of the non-national flags, perhaps by pro-Khalistani elements, condemnable, is an acute embarrassment to the govt. and authorities who should've anticipated the importance and symbolism of the day and a worst case scenario.

Time to say it.

This romanticisation of farmers is utterly brainless.

They do no favour to anyone by farming.

No one owes them anything.

They farm because thats what they do.

Others are tailors, barbers, industrialists, doctors, engineers, shopkeepers, labourers, builders etc

The concept of protecting more hyped up by the leftist historians.
The only protecting following Panipat if I am correct was saving the womenfolk from certain servitude and sex-slavery.
That is still remembered in folklore both in Punjab and in Maharashtra

Chetak, remember India's humiliation in the '60s,PL-480 shipments from the US, LBJ blackmailing us? The Bengal famine, millions died? We owe a monumental debt to those who brought about the green revolution, whilte revolution, etc., and provide the manpower with their sons and daughters ,labour for industry, the armed forces ,construction industry- the back-breaking dirty jobs that city slickers refuse to do. As I said,a distinction must be made between the agitators, fifth columnists, infiltrators,Khalistanis and and ant entire community and the nation's agrarian community.

Also take into perspective what was left by the Brits in the regions you refer to.
Punjab all the swamps drained and the Brits left the locals with two options Kheti or Soldiery!!
Look at the South where they created an army of clerks and primary school teachers to keep that supply chain.
Also the local rulers had a say in these matters as well.
Just for comparison check out life of Maharaja Duleep Singhji and Krishna Raja Wodiyar IV
Part of the problem is you reap what you sow.
With hardly any other infras in Punjab Agri/Soldiery/Cottage industry like sports goods etc became the backbone
And nobody wanted to upset the apple-cart!
Look what that brought them to now!!
So agree with Skumar that the Sikhs have to make that distinction

I know, but village sentiments run deep. It's true for most parts of the country. After the Kerala floods not too long ago, the Mallu relief from the "Gelf" and diaspora was immense. Natives still relate to their village with pride. In India where we are so sentimental and melodramatic, look at our local films, the heart rules the head. Not like Deutschland where discipline and order are paramount! I was sent a tribute to Angela Merkel, who lives and does household chores herself,no army of servants like our VIPs and VVIPs with their " cats" of every colour swarming to protect them. The lifestyles and perks today of our governors exceeds even that of our erstwhile British or firang rulers. In fact the post of state Governors should be abolished,an unneccessary collossal expenditure to the nation. The vast gubernatorial Raj Bhavans would make fantastic heritage hotels, where firang tourists and our zillionaire nouveau riche could be charged the earth.

What does this have to do with farmers running amok and scaling the ramparts of the all qila?

As I said,a distinction must be made between the agitators, fifth columnists, infiltrators,Khalistanis and and ant entire community and the nation's agrarian community.

if we are turning against sikhs then the BIF have won. dont equate a few thousand protestors with entire community. I dont see anyone painting entire sikh community with these. it looks more like everyone I spoken to (my co-workers in India) all agree - these are not farmers, not sikhs and mostly supported by non-indians. no Indian will want whatever these folks did. heck no even kanhaiya kumar has balls to remove tricolor and hand some other flag.

Ah yes. These are not true Sikhs. Just like those jat guru posters in not Sikh gurdwaras.

Funny it’s only Hindus who can say these are not Muslims. These are not Sikhs. These are not true Martians.

See that turbaned man shooting his semiautomatic from the golden temple, he is not a Sikh.

Multiple clips and pictures of sikh "farmers" blocking roads for months, vilely abusing Hindus, India, Modi, desecrating Indian flag and displaying posters of khalistani terrorists in last few months exist. I have atleast 80-90 sikhs in my list on FB. Almost all of them were vocal in their support for agitation. Today, most of them are justifying what happened today by posting photoshopped images and whataboutery about random Hindu organisations.

Good to know that there are still some NRIs who can judge all this while talking to some folks from 1000s of kms away. Hum to yanhaa Dilli mein ch00t*** baithe hain.

Sanjay ji
There was a picture of some Sehajdari or Radha Swami people donating for construction of Ayodhya Ram temple. When I saw it, it had multiple comments from random sikhs, all saying same thing, "They are not true sikhs, just some radha swami sect people."
Jammu's bigges gurudwara put up a picture of Bhindrawala last week. When Hindus protested ,sikhs abused them and asked them to stay away from gurudwaras. Maybe they are not sikhs too. Only people like a few posting here have the authority to issue certificates to this effect.

@jamwal @sanjayji
apologies if it sounded like rolers trying to justify semi terrorist types. My point was, to not abandon folks (sikhs) who have many of their kids in the army/airforce. I want to be caeful not to alieanate true Indian supporters (who also support the current dispensation). whoever does has been part of the riots and their supporters -both open and tacit -need to be hunted down.
