Just to give you an example, if govt starts to withdraw paper currency from circulation and decides that over the next 4 years, transactions must take place using cell phones as in China, how does an illegal pay or receive payment.

If they cannot make a living or get a phone linked to a bank account activated, they will leave for the same reason they came.

The net is closing on all of us, just that most don't know it yet.

Hopeful of using its Commonwealth membership to pursue the extradition of Mehul Choksi from Antigua, the government has issued a Gazette notification extending extradition rights to the Caribbean country as part of the Commonwealth procedure. Mr. Choksi, a jeweller and uncle of fugitive Nirav Modi, both of whom are wanted for loan defaults in India, has reportedly been residing in the islands of Antigua and Barbuda. He was granted a “Citizenship by Investment” there in November 2017.

According to the Gazette notification (F.No. T-413/35/2018 dated August 3,2018), made public on Monday, the government directed “that the provisions of the Extradition Act, 1962, shall apply with respect to Antigua and Barbuda.” India has no extradition treaty with Antigua, but has discussed with officials in Antigua the possibility of using a clause in the Extradition Act (1993) of Antigua and Barbuda that extends similar procedures to all 53 countries of the Commonwealth that former colonies of the United Kingdom are part of.

“These notifications constitute an extradition arrangement between India and Antigua and Barbuda under their Extradition Act of 1993 and provide the legal basis for extraditing offenders from each other’s jurisdiction,” government sources said on Monday, stressing that the countries only have an “arrangement” but not an “extradition treaty.”
In the past week, a series of Indian officials have made a beeline for the small island of Antigua, as the controversy over how Mr. Choksi was allowed to escape charges of banking fraud and violation of capital market regulations in the Punjab National Bank case worth more than ₹ 13,500 crores, grew. On July 31, India’s Ambassador to Guyana, V. Mahalingham, who is also accredited to Antigua and Barbuda, flew there to meet Antiguan Prime Minister Gaston Browne and personally make the case for Mr. Choksi’s extradition to India.

According to a press release from PM Browne’s office, published in the Antigua Chronicle, Mr. Browne “explained that the citizenship of Mr. Choksi could only be revoked with cause, based on whether or not Mr. Choksi had made false assertions or made omissions of facts during the citizenship application process.”

Mr. Browne had also pointed to difficulties with the lack of an extradition treaty with India and the fact that India had not invoked the Commonwealth Extradition Act yet, which has now been fixed by the August 3 gazette notification. A team of External Affairs Ministry officials, led by the Additional Secretary for Consular, Passport and Visa issues Manpreet Vohra met with their Antiguan counterparts soon after Mr. Mahalingam’s visit and handed over a formal request for extradition. “[Antiguan officials] assured [India of] cooperation and due process,” an official told The Hindu.

1.College girl murdered at Perumbavoor, Ernakulam Rural Dt., Kerala. Accused his Bija (his original name hidden so that religion cannot be ascertained), a labourer said to be from West Bengal.
2.Kerala Becoming A Terror Haven? NIA’s Latest Arrests In Bodh Gaya Blast Case Confirms Agency’s Worry. The Kerala based MSM has downplayed the arrest, which is quite natural considering "secular" ethos.
3. Man picked up in Ramanagaram over Maoist, terror links. The man picked up is one Muneer native of Jharkhand. The arrest again is done by NIA, so don't know if they have found a Maoist-Jehadi link as well.

To add to the above arrests,

Top JMB militant held in Bengaluru - PTI
A top India operative of Jamaat-ul-Mujhahiddin Bangladesh (JMB), Bangladesh-based militant outfit, has been arrested near here [Bengaluru] by the National Investigation Agency in connection with recovery of two bombs in Bodh Gaya in Bihar in January this year, the agency said on Tuesday.

Mohammed Jahidul Islam alias Kausar of was picked up from his rented house near Ramanagara area on Monday, by an NIA team, the agency said.

Some electronic devices, besides “traces” of explosives, were recovered during a search of the house.

According to a release by the NIA, 38-year old Islam was the mastermind in the Bodh Gaya explosives case and on his directions, his close associate Mustafizur Rehman alias Shahin had arranged and assembled the bombs, which were found on January 20 when the Dalai Lama was on a visit to the pilgrimage town. The bombs were later deactivated.

“He is the top leader of JMB (Jamaat-ul-Mujhahiddin Bangladesh) in India and is wanted in Burdwan blast case and in many other cases in Bangladesh also,” the release said.

Islam was produced before the Special Court for NIA cases here, which granted five days of transit remand. He would now be produced before the Special NIA Court in Patna, the release said.

Local police said Islam was living with his two wives at Ramanagara.

After the Bodh Gaya incident, he was in hiding somewhere in Jharkhand and later moved to Ramanagara.

“He was staying here as a tenant for the past two months,” the police said.

The NIA had registered an FIR in February last under IPC sections, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosives Act.

The world-renowned Buddhist pilgrimage town of Bodh Gaya was earlier rocked by a series of blasts on July 7, 2013. Though there were no casualties, several people, including some monks, were injured.

SS, Aren't the landlords supposed to turn over tenant information to the local police stations just like hotel registers keep track of guests?

No, this is not mandatory. The police can ask the land lord for information if they find a need for it. The landlord is not legally required to share any information with the local PS on a regular basis.

Too bad. There should be a rule that landlords need to report suspicious tenants.

In Delhi, it is mandatory to get tenant/domestic servant verified by Police. Cops file FIRs against landlords who don't do so.

May be Delhi's local acts/laws does have such provisions. BTW, looks like Karnataka Police also listened to Ramana's request :). Report foreign tenants within 3 days, owners told by the Bengaluru Polizei. And after complaints from the local MLA - Arvind Limbavali - the city police also seems to be conducting a mass checking on illegal Bangladeshi colonies.

Bangladeshi national caught with valid Indian passport. 2nd case in rapid succession. One such proxy Indian was picked up at the airport last week as well. Looks like there is also a well oiled machinery (most likely in West bengal) who gives all help for Bangladeshi illegals to get Indian documents.

It is time to increase punishments for government officials who connive in providing identity documents to illegals. Minimum jail time should be five years.

I would not be surprised in Mamta Banerjee was facilitating the entry of illegals as she was (and still is) with the Rohingyas.

Why our cops are not armed even when going to areas or issues wherein the criminals can attack them? For instance, seems when police went to investigate illegal slaughterhouse in Jharkhand, the criminals threw bombs at the cops. Had it been US, entire town would have been bristling with cop cars and heavily armed cops.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey: I 'fully admit' our bias is 'more left-leaning'
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said on Saturday that he "fully admit[s]" Twitter employees share a largely left-leaning bias after facing accusations that conservatives are discriminated against on the social media platform.

In an interview that aired Saturday on CNN, Dorsey said his company has a responsibility to be open about its political viewpoints, but to operate without bias when applying content policies to users.

"We need to constantly show that we are not adding our own bias, which I fully admit is ... is more left-leaning," Dorsey says.

"But the real question behind the question is, are we doing something according to political ideology or viewpoints? And we are not. Period," he added.

Dorsey went on to insist that his company only polices behavior on the platform, not content.

Dorsey's remarks follow criticism from the right over supposed "shadow-banning" of conservative users. The platform and Dorsey have also faced questions over the decision not to remove far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones from the platform, despite other social media platforms choosing to do so.

Yes Gus. You recall right.

Now the follow-up is complete and some who were involved are arrested.
The leftist cabal is going berserk.

https://www.oneindia.com/amphtml/india/ ... ssion=true
On June 6, the police had arrested Sudhir Dhawale, leader of Mumbai-based Republican Panthers Jati Antachi Chalwal, Delhi-based activist Rona Wilson of Committee of Release of Political Prisoners, Nagpur lawyer Surendra Gadling of Indian Association of People's Lawyers, Nagpur University professor Shoma Sen, and Mahesh Raut.

The name of Rao had come up when the Pune police arrested, Surendra Gadling from Nagpur in June in connection with the Elgaar Parishad case. A letter was recovered from Gadling in which Rao had complimented him for the success of the attack launched by naxalites in Gadchiroli.

There were also letters discussing the assassination of Modi which were recovered from Rona Wilson, also an accused in the case. In addition to this the police also raided Fereira's house in Thane. The police say that he is an alleged sympathiser of naxalites and had been arrested in the past as well. He was however discharged in all the cases.

"Sympathisers" and similar sentiments could be expressed by millions of Indians towards the poor and underpriviliged. However, " activisits" come under a different category .These " activities" could be legal or illegal.Should they be suspected of being illegal, like giving more than moral support to any anti- national group like the Naxals , facilitating in some way their illegal acts , will run the risk of being investigated. Flirting with anti- nationals engaged in terror acts is extremely dangerous. Those who play with fire will get burnt.

Now in this, case of the "Urban Naxals",the evidence of their alleged activities will determine their fate by the courts. The authorities would not have carried out these investigations without some hard evidence.Nevertheless, in the past, our top investigating agencies in some cases have blotted their copybook by poor casework. This should not happen.

1.Despite Outrage, Supreme Court Puts ‘Urban Naxals’ Under House Arrest, Refuses To Set Them Free. A house arrest? How good it would be for interrogations? But yes, at least they are in custody and may not be in a position to block sources etc. etc.

In this case, watch out for those outraging, filing PILs etc. The whole ecosystem of Urban Naxals are crawling out from the woodwork. Matriarchs and Patriarchs of the Naxal herd are being arrested.

I think the GOI for-sees the disruptive power these forces can unleash in the run up to 2019 elections. Action had to be taken with whatever they had. Even if the cases were not water tight.

The thing is as you pointed out, these are very well connected people with immense disruptive influence that GoI is well aware of, then why would they pull the trigger with whatever they had, when there's a possibility that the ecosystem will exploit any loophole to bail them out?

I suspect GoI are of the view that they indeed have a water tight case and that they have plugged most of not all the loop holes. This is why probably it took this long to bring them to the book. Much like the NRC.

^^^ Possible. My gut feel is that this case does not capture the entire spectrum of the people behind the scenes. There are more. They could not wait to get till they had all in the net.

Those filing PILs, like Romilla Thappar have a direct link into Nehru-Gandhi clan. The C-System has become active in this case. Hence, my doubts as to whether these were the only ones.

I believe this is about tradeoffs, high profile people often have minions to do their dirty work and plenty others that are nondescript, yet vital cogs in the wheel. I suspect those picked up may well belong to the latter category. Not low enough to be shovelling the dirt, but not high enough to be unreachable. But they may well be one of the key elements linking the top to the bottom.

What will now happen is that like any self-respecting network, there will be extensive rewiring of the communications, new conduits will emerge to keep the system working. I also believe that GoI and others will be carefully watching these new developments.

One thing which is an advantage for the urban naxal supporters is that they have managed to suppress what ever information the police has given in the court. A "remand report" filed by the police generally would give out the reason on why the arrested persons have to be given in police custody or should go to judicial custody (i.e in sub jail, as a remand prisoner). But all this information is deliberately kept hidden; so that the label of "right activists" can be fixed more quickly.

I too would like to believe that these arrests have been made after a lot of due diligence and planning. MH government for sure would know the political backing the "urban naxals" would have. I don't think Fadnavis is such a clue less individual, and the MH Police is just working on its own whims & fancies. So I think these arrests are just a minor step in the war against Naxal gangs. Bhima-Koregaon riots was an attempt to cause much problems in MH, and looks like the GoMH has clearly identified the threat. We also must know that even after the much acclaimed "farmer's long march" (which CPI(M) says they organised), the commies have not even one a single seat in all the MH elections which happened after that.

Also note that even after the entire pro-Naxal "liberal, intellectual, secular" brigade landing up at the Supreme Court, the accused were all sent for judicial remand. They were not let out on bail. Mind you, the policy of Indian courts have been "Bail is a right, Remand is an exception". Now if these folks were NOT let on bail, it means the SC was provided with some additional information as well.

Again; this move against the Naxals is only going to cause manufactured outrage and uproar in very limited circle. GoI and GoMH by now would have easily realised which groups, which media sources & which individuals would do the usual dance drama. For the common man/voter out there, these people really don't matter.

The arrested....oops! Remanded "UN" members are now in a pretty pickle with the release of their letters by the cops, found after examining their computers, etc.If these are found to be genuine, then no court in the land will not send these would-be assassins to lengthy periods of stay at state " resorts" for them to reflect upon their failed armed escapades.

Entities like the Naxals, ISIS, Al Q,etc. are heavy with extreme fundamentalism and cult-like figures , leaders of the movement. Those of the Marxist persuasion can be found in the halls of universities, seducing young minds with an overdose of an old decaying ideology of armed revolution.Of course the lingering feudalalism and caste conciousness and inequalities found in the interiors of our country are fertile breeding grounds for truly desperate peasantry to join such ideological outfits. These outfits however have ceased to be pure, allegedly conspiring with land mafias for mercenary gain and to further fund their attacks against the state.

The so- called " intellectuals" under remand by the courts will have to explain away the evidence mounting against them of their plots to acquire a large quantity of lethal arms , with the help of our mortal enemies too and carry out diabolic attacks RG style including the alleged planned assassination of the PM. The network of UNs across the country who are allegedly the key providers of the grass- root insurgents of ideology, finance and arms procurement, must be identified, monitored and when enough evifence has been obtained picked up asap, as the 2019 electionx atd getting neater by the day and these anti- nationals have obvious plans of creating mayhem in the run- up to the polls to destabilise the nation and throw it into chaos.

Saar,

Remember what happened in binayak sen's case??

creepy crawly greasy commie "intellectuals" from the EU/US etc will emerge from under various dark, dank, reptilian NGO and university hidey holes and from under moss overrun rocks to converge on India to protect their slimy brethren.

I would love to know who exactly in India gave the orders to protect and rehabilitate this UN binayak sen creature.

Big crackdown against ‘overground’ Maoists supporters planned, says CRPF DG
CRPF Director General R.R. Bhatnagar told PTI in an interview that this fresh action is being undertaken by them in coordination with State police forces with an aim to deny ‘space’ to the Left Wing Extremists and to counter them beyond the field operations.
.....
“We are now going to the villages and we are trying to see that action is taken against their (Maoists) overground supporters and workers, ‘jan militia’ and other people who give them the intelligence and local support.
