Re: Internal Security Watch
He was in my collage. I was not friends with him nor i ever suspected anything. A couple of other guys who were closer to him are shocked to know this. They too never suspected. It's been long time though.
Few things I want to highlight here.
1. There can't be comunally more peaceful city than Rajkot in India. Ms are 3-4%. No communal history. Even at the time of Godhra riots, this place remained largely calm. There is no chance that this chap faced any discrimination here. There should be no reason for him to hate kafirs.
2. He is highly educated.
3. During my collage days his financial condition was better than at least mine.
Where is burkha now?

^^ Sir, by that logic, Kerala shouldnt be churning out 100s of ISIS wannabes every hear. Yet they do and we never heard any of the secular junta try to explain that other than "isolated misguided case"
All these older formulae of evil communal RSS casusing riots and causing the poor uneducated minority to turn to arms are long gone and the fact is no one wants to talk about the giant malsi elephant in the room

Also, the terrorist brothers carry the surname "ramodiya". It's a very hindu surname which is common in Gujarat.
And oh, their father wasn't exactly a headmaster but was a clerk in university (now retired). A govt employee nonetheless. He does cricket umpiring at district level as well. Who would have thunk!

It shows that the basic reason is the ideology and not anything else. Unfortunately, we allowed a large number of Saudi-funded madrassas to flourish. There is no opposition to any burkhas, talak-talak-talaks, opposition to CCC, SIMI, IM and others. So the signs were there all along and we allowed it to happen.

I 400% agreed with your post and was just saying that trying to even find reasons like unemployed/riot affected etc is useless and is just a fig-leaf for the seculars to talk about the giant Malsi problem in the room
Re: Internal Security Watch
bengaluru, chennai and hyd have their covens of well off techie jihadis too. daesh has truly managed to catch the imagination via social media in a manner that AQ could not scale up. perhaps their control of territory and elements of a formal state gave them the aura vs AQ who was always perceived to be on the run from khans drones and hounds after 911. so AQ had no marketable face and a safe place to call the faithful to gather.

infact if we look deeper into the social background of AQ/IS emigres, the really poor, those with nothing but a little bit of land or landless sharecroppers will be a small minority. its urban ghetto dwellers engaged in some small scale trade or business, urban dropouts from the mainstream into the clutches of jihadi preachers and unemployable young lads who know nothing outside the holy book who form a good chunk, bolstered by the well educated covens of resident india and gulf returned workers and techies.

Retired IAS Officer Narendra Luther has a beautiful passage in his book "Hyderabad" where he describes the transformation of a London educated Hyderabad Muslim lawyer into a red fez sporting jihadi in the blink of a second in the 1920s. Khilafat was the rage of that era. Osman Ali Khan got himself two Turkish princesses as daughters-in-law.

Enforcement Directorate issues fourth summon to Zakir Naik
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued fresh summons, also possibly the last, to controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik in connection with its money laundering probe case against him and others.Officials said the agency issued the fourth summons to Dr. Naik, via his lawyer and through e-mail, to join the probe even as it rejected his plea to depose before investigators via an Internet-based video link from abroad.
Moreover, they said, the agency wants to question Dr. Naik “in person” given the serious charges of money laundering being investigated against him and others.
Dr. Naik, through his lawyer, had made a proposal to depose via video link some days back even as he apprehended that he could be arrested by the agency like his aide Aamir Gazdar. This "preacher of piss" has always claimed that he has nothing to hide from the law, therefore he should have no fear in appearing before the law.
“My client is willing and ready to give any statement before you via Skype or any other mode of electronic media to assist you in your investigation,” a letter sent by Dr. Naik, also the founder of NGO Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), through his lawyer Mahesh Mule had said. He should be better off claiming "political assylum" in Saudia ; after all, they conferred on him the "highest civilian award, given to a foreigner !

3 Hindu women raped in Karimganj, Assam, by Bangladeshis. Our years of hold on the NE are numbered, with the Hindus & tribals of the region converted or killed. This will be 10 times worse than Kashmir. When people forget that demography is destiny, such things follow.

Don't think it such a good idea any longer.. the Nambi Narayan ISRO spy allegations that throttled the nascent Indian rocket efforts point to some corrupt kerala police officers who underwent training in the USA and actively recruited by the CIA.

One such officer was the hero of Gujrath . Did not think he ever went to the USA for any training. The Kerala cadre IPS officer who investigated the case was Sibi Mathews, and his assistants were K.K Joshua (a Dy.SP then) and Smart Vijayan (SI or Insp. then).kit wrote:Don't think it such a good idea any longer.. the Nambi Narayan ISRO spy allegations that throttled the nascent Indian rocket efforts point to some corrupt kerala police officers who underwent training in the USA and actively recruited by the CIA.

If SP is voted out, the true extent of sekoolarism in UP will be known to outside world. UP should be den of all IS modules in India, just that they don't want to "embarrass" Islam-pasand netas of SP as long as MSY is in power

Re: Internal Security Watch
Uttar Pradesh so strategically located and with somewhat higher corruption has always been a support bed for terrorists. North West UP mostly Khiri and Pilibhit provided shelter and escape routes for Punjab terrorists. Areas like Lucknow, Kanpur, Rampur, Azamgarh because of its demography has become hotbed for Islamists. Problem is severe in UP because of their Mafia connections.

I think it's the political leadership since the 1990s that created a terrorist friendly environment. Add Bihar under Nitish.

Indian facing prison in U.S. in terror case - AP, The Hindu
He must be deported to India after serving his US prison term to stand trial in the terror cases pending against him.An Indian citizen who received asylum in the U.S. and lived in northern Nevada is facing up to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiring to plot terror strikes in his home country on the border with Pakistan.
Balwinder Singh’s sentencing is scheduled in the federal court in Reno.
Prosecutors say he worked with two terrorist organisations to try to establish an independent Sikh state in the Punjab region.
They say he sought asylum in San Francisco using a false identity to elude Indian authorities when travelling back to his home country. The government is seeking the maximum penalty of 15 years in prison with a possibility of lifetime supervision upon his release.

SC Orders Centre To Seal Bangladesh Border And Deport Illegal Immigrants
Swarajya Staff - Mar 09,
The Supreme Court Of India today ordered the central government to deport illegal Bangladeshi aliens in the country and seal the border to stop their influx, Defence News (DN) reported.
The Court had earlier asked the government to prepare a status report on the progress in fencing the international border with Bangladesh. According to the news portal, a bench of Justices Ranjan Gogoi and R F Nariman examined the status report and said that Madhukar Gupta committee would supervise it. This committee was setup after the Pathankot airbase attack to suggest ways to strengthen vigil and security on the border.
Tomorrow, Expenditure and Finance Committee will meet to decide on Assam government’s request of grant of about Rs 3 crore for ramping up border infrastructure in the state, the DN reported.
Postponing the matter for next hearing on 29 April, the bench impressed on the government that it wants this work of border fencing to be done quickly as the integrity and sovereignty of the nation was at stake.
Earlier, the apex court had ordered the Centre “to detect and deport all illegal migrants who have come to Assam after March 25, 1971 and hold discussions with the Bangladesh government to ensure that illegal migrants are sent back.”

Is this news true?
Delhi High Court ratifies Income Tax fine of Rs.525 cr ($80 M) on NDTV. Quashes Stay Order of Tribunal
n a big setback to New Delhi Television (NDTV), Delhi High Court (HC) on Tuesday quashed the stay order given by Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) stopping the Income Tax Department from levying a fine of Rs.525 crores ($80 million). The Division Bench comprising of Justice Ravindra Bhat and Justice Najmi Waziri upheld the Income Tax decision to fine Rs.525 crores on NDTV for tax evasion in 2008. The HC also said that the stay order given by ITAT was totally wrong and the Tribunal had exceeded its powers.
https://www.pgurus.com/delhi-high-court ... -tribunal/NDTV obtained a stay from ITAT on September 2016, when Income Tax found that the TV channel had illegally routed money through Bermuda. Around Rs.642 crores ($98 million – $150 million in 2008) was routed in 2008 through US giant General Electrical (GE) subsidiary in USA via Bermuda and NDTV received this money through its shell company registered in Netherlands. This dubious deal took place when P Chidambaram was the Finance Minister and many Income Tax officers who challenged this deal were punished by the Congress regime.

There are about 10,000 Rohingya and bangladeshi refugees in Jammu. Rajnath Singh has sought report from the state govt regarding this.Acting tough, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today sought report from Jammu and Kashmir Government on illegal settlement of Rohingyas and Burmese in Jammu region, an issue which was being raised vociferously by some BJP leaders as well as Opposition parties as they felt that they could become security threat in the State and also lead to change of demographic character in the region.
Top official sources told the Excelsior that at a high level security review meeting at North Block in New Delhi today, Rajnath has sought a detailed report from Jammu and Kashmir Government, where BJP is partner with the PDP, on the number of Rohingyas and Burmese nationals settled in Jammu, the time period from which they were living here, reasons for their settlement and all other related issues.
