The problem is 2019 election campaigning will begin soon. On the campaign trail there might be several such instances of the PM being in a narrow street with hundreds of supporters surrounding him trying to catch a glimpse. A scary thought in light of this news about an assassination plot.

Yeah, I would say it is still pretty tough. Most of the countermeasures are offensive and classified. There are also UAVs overhead usually which scan the crowds. There is special software that flag people based on movement patterns and the info gets relayed back to spg command center. They would have to get through all that on top of spg in crowd, nsg/spg snipers on rooftops, and then finally his personal spg detail who train most days of the year to discharge their weapons before the threat, make head shots, and get PM out in less than 3 sec. Also, once the threat crosses the first run of the security cordon, they have to stay off the airwaves which makes it harder to coordinate with accomplices in the field.

IMO, the biggest headache are these suicide bombers. The blast radius coupled with shrapnel could impart an advantage but even then, to get into the venue you have to go through checkpoints, patted down, etc. under state police, spg, and nsg supervision. The pressure is going to be immense for this one but I trust they have all of it under control. Multiple layers have to fail in order for someone to pass through. The PM will proly restrict his exposure somewhat as well so that minimizes the chances.

The point to note is that inimical forces like the ltte and it's evil backers are still very active, acting in concert with the commies and naxals as part of the larger BIF.

We missed the point of the evil backers of the ltte then and now we miss the existence of the ltte at the subterranean level in dravidian politics.

The evil backers of the ltte have come a very long way since the days of their failure to break the SL homeland. They are now trying the same thing, using lessons learned from that failure to implement a similar agenda from the Indian side.

Like an iceberg, only the very top of their disguised, innocent appearing and "social minded" snowy white presence is visible to fool the rest of the country.

TN dravidians are fully aware of what's going on.

Maoists were involved in Sterlite protests. Their posters and banners used in that protest were found in Chattisgarh. It shows "Anti-social elements" had infiltrated Thoothukudi protest. #Rajinikanth's gut instinct was right.

VSRC interim report on Thoothukudi riots in Tamil Nadu establishes a clear nexus between the Church and the rioters

By Team PGurus - June 16, 2018

VSRC interim report on Thoothukudi riots in Tamil Nadu establishes a clear nexus between the Church and the rioters

If the findings by a group of professionals drawn out from fields like internal security, defence forces, judiciary and political observers are any indication, Tamil Nadu has almost become a testing laboratory for the Church-Islamist-Lefts-Maoist-Periyarites axis which want the State to break away from Indian union and form a separate Christian Republic a la the Tamil Eelam visualised by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

Two prominent figures quoted by the VSRC team are Gaspar and Mohan Lazarus, the former a Catholic priest while the latter is an evangelist.

Vedic Science Research Centre (VSRC), a Chennai based think tank, in a detailed study held all over the State has found that Tamil Nadu is boiling, in a subtle manner, fuelled by the Periarites, Marxists, Church, Maoists and Islamic Terrorists. The riots at Thoothukudy in the month of May 2018 that claimed the lives of 15 persons were fomented by this anti-national axis, the VSRC team found out. The role of international agencies in augmenting the riots has to be probed, said the VSRC report which has been accessed by Team PGurus.

An immaculate investigation by this team brought out the link between the Church and the rioters. “The various factions of the Church are behind the agitation against Sterlite Copper unit at Thoothukudy. Their allegation that the Thoothukudy region is polluted only because of the Sterlite Copper Unit is questionable. There are hundreds of chemical industries in the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Industrial Estate. The question is why Sterlite Copper is being singled out?” asked one of the team members who probed the Thoothukudy riots. He spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal from the private army funded by the Church.

The VSRC team also found that the Anti-Sterlite Movement is the continuation of many such agitations and arsons against development initiatives in Tamil Nadu. The VSRC investigators have concluded that police resorted to firing only as a last measure and that too to save more than 200 innocent lives who had to bear the brunt of the rioters.

“The agitation against Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project, the Marina Beach sit-in demanding the removal of the Supreme Court ban on Jallikkattu, the demonstrations against the government of India to set up hydrocarbon plants in Cauvery Delta Region, the ONGC mission to extract shale gas from the Cauvery districts, the agitation demanding the shutting down of the Indian Neutrino Observatory at Theni, and the agitation against the setting up of the world-class InterContinental Container Shipment Terminal in Kanyakumari district are all interconnected. The ultimate idea is to block and prevent all kind of development works in this part of the country and to condition the region for a secessionist movement, which has already taken shape in the area,” said Ramakrishnan Gauthaman, director, VSRC.

The report quotes even former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who told an international publication that the agitators at Kudankulam in Tirunelveli district were being funded by agencies from foreign countries[1]. “Dr. Manmohan Singh had said that the NGOs in Tirunelveli and Thoothukudy Districts were receiving funds from Organisations based in the United States of America and Scandinavian countries. The money was channeled mainly through the church-based NGOs namely Tuticorin Diocese Association and Tuticorin Multipurpose Social Service Society,” the report quotes.

The report submitted by the VSRC to the Home Ministry is a work done painstakingly. Each point mentioned in the report has been substantiated by documentary evidence, pictures, audio/ video clippings and inputs provided by the residents of the local community. “This controversial plant has been a money spinner for many politicians, bureaucrats, civil society groups and Church priests for long. The current bout of the strike is to oppose the expansion of this plant. The protests against this plant were peaceful throughout and whatever legal or departmental action against the wrongdoings of this plant was the result of this peaceful protest,” said Gauthaman.

The report has also pointed out the abnormal interest shown by certain political groups and religious groups in retaining the services of an official of the Archaeological Survey of India at Keezhadi in Sivaganga District for an ongoing excavation work and also the attempts by most of the Dravidian and Left parties in charging the Centre for alleged attempt to impose Hindi and Sanskrit over Tamil Nadu while there was no such move. The Church-sponsored agitations held in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli districts in the aftermath of the Okhi cyclones have been listed in the report as part of anti-national initiatives. “The rescue and relief operations held by the Union Government post-Okhi cyclone has been of an exemplary standard but the dominant religious community in the region waged an undeclared war against the government by spreading falsehoods,” says the report which also lists the names of NGOs, individuals, and organisations which are working round-the-clock promoting separatism and Tamil Nation cause.

Two prominent figures quoted by the VSRC team are Gaspar and Mohan Lazarus, the former a Catholic priest while the latter is an evangelist. While Gaspar is a close associate of DMK’s K Kanimozhi, party chief M Karunanidhi’s daughter, Lazarus is the one credited with evangelising hundreds of thousands of people across Tamil Nadu including MDMK leader Vaiko (Y Gopalaswamy). Lazarus said in a TV interview that it was he who brought Vaiko to the path of Jesus[2]. But Vaiko, with his friends in the media like B Kolappan of The Hindu got a news published that he does not discriminate between religions[3]. He has been quoted as saying that the news that he had been converted to Christianity has the potential to harm his political career as he fears that Hindus would not vote for him if they come to know his defection to Christianity. Rationalist Vaiko’s wife Renuka is praying in all Churches and telling special novenas for the election of her husband from one of the constituencies in the State.

The team has found that three churches in the districts of Thoothukudy, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari are the hubs of all secessionist and anti-national operations in Tamil Nadu. “What is disturbing is that majority of the MLAs from these three districts are Christians because the Christian community would vote only for candidates propped up by the Church,” said one of the team members.

The full VSRC report accessed by Team PGurus is included as an enclosure. Taken aback by the findings of the VSRC, a self-styled group constituted by the Church by including a group of proactive Christians like M G Devasahayam (former IAS officer), Jacob Punnoose (former IPS officer), R T Sreekumar (former IPS officer who is credited with sabotaging India’s space research programme by cooking up the spy scandal of 1995), Kalpana Kannabeeran (Maoist), Hari Paranthaman (former judge of Madras High Court and a known Periyariite) and a slew of fishermen leaders (all belonging to the Christian community), has blamed the police and the Tamil Nadu administration for the rioting and police firing[4]. The report named People’s Inquest, says that public testimonial states that the district administration and police attacked and molested the rioters at the instance of the Sterlite Copper Management. Devasahayam, a known Hindu baiter is trying to put the entire blame on the Narendra Modi government for every mishap that has happened in the country since 1947. As expected the report prepared under the tagline People’s Inquest has come a cropper.

Security abroad

The Director of the SPG (Special Protection Group) has brought to the attention of the Secretary, Security, in the Cabinet Secretariat that during most of Narendra Modi’s regime, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul have not permitted their security personnel to accompany them when they are travelling abroad, even though the SPG has repeatedly pointed out the security threat. The government has now decided that each time the Gandhis leave the country they will have to give an undertaking that they are traveling unaccompanied at their own risk and responsibility. Recently, the SPG dropped Rahul and Sonia at the international airport. Sonia was leaving for her health check-up but the SPG had no clue about her destination.

How did 40000+ even manage to enter India and travel around thousands of kilometers.

Totally inept border security and internal security.

A waste of money purchasing fighter planes costing tens of billions when an army of foreigners can literally cross right over and inhabit any place they wish.

They conduct their affairs outside of the country in banks and other places free of gov surveillance. Everything is bugged within the country and you can't use the phones or internet. No doubt MI5 and other agencies have access to their communications tho.

I have always thought that state governments, especially non-BJP ones, cannot be trusted to maintain sanctity of the land border. They are too parochial, do not have a national outlook, and solely focused on developing Muslim vote banks. The union government needs to declare one kilometer wide strip all along India's land border as union territory. The state government's writ won't run there, and no human habitation will be allowed. It will be governed directly by the home / defence ministry. This is the only solution.

Also, I am astounded how easily infiltrators manage to obtain government identity cards like voter Id cards, Aadhar, etc. We need a strong law to jail government officials and others (NGOs, etc.) who help infiltrators obtain such documents fraudulently. A jail term of five years for this will set a lot of touts and petty bureaucrats right.

Compulsorily linking all national identification documents with Aadhar card will be a good idea, to avoid situations like this:

I am currently reading "The Darkening Age: The Christian Destruction of the Classical World"
https://www.amazon.in/dp/B06XCHMZTK/ref ... TF8&btkr=1

(BTW, the entire book is available on Scribd, if you want to read: https://www.scribd.com/document/3632383 ... rine-Nixey

The similarities with how Christians captured Roman Empire are uncanny with what is happening in TN. It was the private army of the Bishop, called Parabalani, which surrounded and skinned alive Hypatia, the most famous Greek philosopher of the time in Alexandria. When church begins to assemble a private army of hoodlooms controlled by the Bishops, that means they are moving for the kill over the heathens.
They called them the ‘parabalani’ – ‘the reckless ones’.¹ At first, the name had been a compliment. Under the scorching heat of the Alexandrian sun, in this city at the crossroads of busy trading routes, someone needed to carry away the bodies of the sick and the weak – not to mention the merely unsavoury poor – and do so swiftly, to protect everyone else.

This was a city that knew how devastating a plague could be. A hundred and fifty years before, a new disease had arrived in Alexandria, then fanned out into the rest of the empire, killing millions. Then, a hundred or so years later, the Plague of Justinian struck. Its symptoms were even more abhorrent: buboes appeared, followed variously by coma, delirium, agonizing pain, ‘black pustules about as large as a lentil’, the vomiting of blood and, finally, death.² The plague was more devastating than the last: 25 million people died.

To deal with the dead and the dying in an ancient city was therefore an essential job and, like most essential jobs, a despised one. In fifth-century Alexandria, the men who stepped forward to do this work were the parabalani, the ‘reckless’ young Christians brave enough to act as stretcher bearers in this medicine-free world.³

These men were in many ways at the bottom of society: they were not wealthy, or educated, or even literate, but they had muscle, they had faith – and they had strength in numbers.⁴ By the beginning of the fifth century there were an estimated 800 members of the parabalani in Alexandria alone: an army – and the word is used advisedly – of young men, devoted to the service of God.⁵ Or more precisely, to the service of His representatives on earth: the bishops. As the scholar Peter Brown has pointed out, in cities across the empire at this time, powerful clerics were beginning to marshal huge followings of young men; strong believers, in both senses of the word. In Rome, those who flocked behind the bish-
op were the ‘fossores’, the diggers who mined out the city’s famous catacombs. In Antioch, it was the pallbearers who surrounded their patriarch.

These men had all initially been gathered to do good Christian deeds – but they could and would be deployed to do terrible ones. The control that many bishops had over their flocks was firm to the point of unyielding. They were the gatekeepers of heaven and could shut those gates in the faces of those who displeased them. In the fourth and fifth centuries, bishops controlled de facto militaries of the faithful – and they were not afraid to use them. In Rome, the diggers upset an episcopal election with the use of ‘alarming’ violence.

As one bishop somewhat smugly observed, bishops were ‘the calmers of disturbances, and anxious for peace, except when even they are moved by some offence against God, or insult to the Church’, as Brown has observed.⁶ Except. Brown has rightly drawn attention to that word. Peace could only be had at the Church’s say-so. The Lamb of God was now flanked by lions. The diggers in Rome were fearsome enough, but it was the parabalani in Alexandria who became infamous. Cross the bishop of Alexandria and, as locals knew to their cost, he might send some of the 800 parabalani to visit you.

Argument incarnate, they massed outside the town hall, the theatre and the law courts. Their mere presence was enough to bully opponents into submission. They have been described as a ‘terrorist charity’ – a strange oxymoron, but a good one. These men did, at times, do good deeds but they also sowed fear. ‘Terror’ is the word used in Roman legal documents about them.⁷

One spring day in AD 415, the parabalani would go much further than merely threatening violence. On that day, they committed one of the most infamous murders in early Christianity.⁸

There are some banks in England, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, etc which are very powerful and have a reputation of maintaining privacy of their clients. For clients depositing over a given amount, they provide facilities within the banks with the highest grade encryption, sound proofing, etc to thwart foreign intelligence. In Switzerland itself, its a well known fact that several banks have created additional facilities just to house gold bars held by Indian depositors.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cong leadership is permanently renting out one of these secure rooms within a particular bank to conduct their affairs within India. They could meet folks from Cambrige Analytica in there without pesky reporters, thwart foreign intelligence, and secure for themselves a fair degree of autonomy due to client privilege. It's far easier to mobilize financial assets without financial intelligence unit/SEBI/CBI eavesdropping on their transactions within India.

May also explain why Modi is trying to destroy whatever little presence they have within India. They must be burning through $ to keep running their operations out of Europe. It's imperative that they keep the money flowing by winning state elections.

Not sure about the full extent of what the article claims as it sounds alarmist.
But it was utter lunacy when the govt was contemplating sub-contracting the development of the biometric identification card (Aadhaar) to Microsoft !

Might as well be handing over the entire biometric database to the NSA in that case - if it hasn't already been stolen that is.

What most Indians don’t know is that the extent of NSA’s surveillance of Indian communication traffic is greater than its electronic snooping in China, Russia, Iran and Saudi Arabia combined.

This is the future that the Indian policymakers have envisioned for you in the name of Digital India built on borrowed technology from spy agencies compromising our national sovereignty.

Tanvi Seth Aka Sadia Anas Fails Address Check; Passport May Be Blocked If Police Verification Turns Inconclusive
As per a fresh report by Hindi daily Amar Ujala, it has emerged that when the police went to Tanvi’s in-laws’ house in Qaiserbagh, Lucknow, they did not find any proof that Tanvi had been residing there. As per rules, a person needs to be living at the mentioned place for at least a year, the report said. The police have not concluded their verification yet but told the newspaper that Tanvi’s location till 14 June is traced to Noida based on her call records.

Another report by Hindi daily Dainik Jagran elaborates on how the due process was ignored while issuing Tanvi a passport. The report says while she was handed the passport on the evening of 21 June, it was only on a day later on 22 June that the office got the documents of her details. The report says that the officials simply made Tanvi write on a paper that she was working for a Noida company under a work-from-home arrangement.

The report also said the office’s head V P Singh is on leave and is not clued in on the matter.

Reports are speculating that Tanvi’s passport may be rejected if details provided by her are found to be incorrect. Meanwhile, passport officer Vikas Mishra has an inquiry set up against him based on Tanvi’s allegations and he continues to remain posted in Gorakhpur where he was immediately transferred after the controversy.

India migrants face judgment day with border state's census
Assam on edge as Modi's 2014 vow to eject 'Bangladeshi infiltrators' echoes

https://asia.nikkei.com/Politics/India- ... e-s-census
An army of 40,000 NRC officials and 10,000 data operators has sifted through more than 70 million documents, many of them yellowing and crumbling with age. They have recorded and digitized the papers, and painstakingly constructed "family trees" for 900,000 "legacy" immigrants who entered the state legally before March 1971.

Since January, about 10 million people traveled across Assam and from elsewhere in India to present themselves for hearings. All the descendants of the legacy immigrants had to appear together before NRC officials at 5,000 locations to prove their identities.

"People had to go through various stages in verification of documents and then family trees," Hajela said. "We also had to look at consistency in dates, age gaps between parents and children." He said the hearings were held in open sessions, and on time.

Aided by technology and rigorous cross-checking, the numbers from the NRC will be very accurate, Hajela said. "It has been a long wait, and I can say it will be a fruitful exercise."

As the date of the NRC's publication nears, tensions and tempers are rising across Assam. Hajela said any estimate of the number of foreigners, and fears that they will be forced to leave Assam, are speculative. "A number of organizations are trying to scuttle the process because we are coming to the end ... some organizations, some political parties are trying to instill fear in the minds of the public."

China Mobile, owned by China Mobile Communications Corp., “is wholly owned by a sovereign state, the People’s Republic of China,” the agency said in the filing.

And now according to Bloomberg, on Monday Trump is going back to the Huawei/ZTE playbook, after on the Trump administration moved against letting another Chinese telecom giant, China Mobile, enter the U.S. telecommunications market, saying the state-owned enterprise would pose national security risks.

China Mobile, owned by China Mobile Communications Corp., “is wholly owned by a sovereign state, the People’s Republic of China,” the agency said in the filing.

Kerala: CPI(M) describes attack on SFI members as ‘Taliban model’

Terming the recent attack on SFI members in a college here as “Taliban Model,” the CPI(M) today said it would carry out an extensive campaign to “expose” the activities of radical Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) and its allied organisations in Kerala. The CPI(M), shocked by the “brutal killing” of SFI leader Abhimanyu in the attack allegedly by activists of PFI, its student outfit Campus Front and political offshoot Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), said they organise such “planned killings” to disturb peace in the state.

“SDPI is carrying out Taliban model attacks,” said an official statement of CPI(M) carried by party mouthpiece Deshabhimani.

It said the party has lost nine workers so far in such “brutal attacks” carried out by activists of PFI, Campus Front and SDPI in the state. The CPI(M) said statewide campaigns will be organised to “expose” their activities in the state.

The first such campaign will be organised across the state on July 10, it added. Meanwhile, SDPI has justified the killing of 20-year-old student from a poor Tamil tribal hamlet from backward hill region of Idukki district, saying the attack was not one-sided and the death of Abhimanyu happened when the activists of Campus Front defended themselves.

The statement of SDPI state president Abdul Majeed Faizy came yesterday as the police carried out raids in its offices in many parts of the state to nab the culprits allegedly involved in the killing of the student. The arrest of only three persons were recorded so far in connection with the incident.

Police has said only two or three students belonging to the Campus Front were part of the gang of around 15 persons allegedly involved in violent attack on SFI workers over a minor issue of graffitti on the college wall.

The CPI(M) has alleged that rest of the attackers were either worker of the PFI or SDPI.

CPI(M) state secretariat member and former Rajya Sabha MP K N Balagopal said the nature of wounds afflicted on Abhimanyu and two other students reveals that the attack was carried out by trained, professional killers.

“This itself reveals that they were trained professional killers and their intention was to establish their base in the campuses in the state by terrorising students,” Balagopal told PTI.

Political analysts say that the killing of Abhimanyu, a second year degree student of Maharajas College, will force the CPI(M), which has been fighting against right wing Hindu outfits for the last four decades, to fight growing Islamic fundamentalism with equal measure.

Political parties including BJP in the state have several times accused the CPI(M) of adopting a ‘soft approach’ towards the “growing” activities of PFI and its allied outfits in the state. BJP’s former state president and Rajya Sabha MP V Muraleedharan alleged that the CPI(M) was playing a ‘hide and seek’ on the killing. “The CPI(M) is still reluctant to clarify their stand on jihadi outfits which executed the killing of Abhimanyu.

His killing is a clear indication of growing jihadi terrorism on the soil of Kerala,” Muraleedharan said. Muraleedharan urged Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to end the hide and seek game on the issue and curb activities of ‘jihadi elements’ in the state.

Rejecting the BJP allegations, Balagopal said CPI(M) and the government headed by it would continue its fight against the menace of communalism irrespective of colours–whether it is majority or minority. “Both the communalism are a threat to progressive Kerala society.

The CPI(M) and other progressive forces will continue their fight against them and eliminate their ideologies from the minds of the people of the state,” said Balagopal, who is also a former leader of SFI.

A 20-year-old SFI leader was stabbed to death and two others were injured in an attack allegedly by members of a pro-Islamic outfit at the Maharaja’s College in Ernakulam on July 1 night.

The ruling Communist party had a tacit understanding and collaborated with Malsic parties in the targeted killings of RSS/BJP workers in Kerala and now it is crying when its cadres are getting eliminated.

How Urban naxals, Khalistanis and ISI came together to break India.

Fake handles on the social media, a huge plot to revive the Khalistan movement and funding the naxalites. This is a deadly cocktail that has been unearthed by the Indian security agencies who say that there is a big foreign hand in creating unrest in India. It began with the National Investigation Agency unearthing a major plot hatched in the UK, Canada and Italy to revive the Khalistan movement.

It was a plot known as Referendum 2020 and was aimed at bringing Sikh youth into the fold and reviving terrorism in Punjab. Representational Image

The NIA learnt that one of the chief plotters, Harmeet Singh alias PHD had moved from Dubai to Pakistan to hatch this plot. The plot was to target the Hindu leaders in Punjab. It was working as a double edged sword for the ISI. Not only would this help revive terrorism in Punjab but also result in communal tension in other parts of the country.

The next plot to be unearthed was on the social media. Several fake handles were set up by Pakistan and the discourse on these accounts were largely political. The intention was again to create communal unrest and ensure that it became part of the political discourse in India.

Time Now had recently reported that there was a sudden spurt in anti Modi activism. A direct link was established between political unrest in India and a foreign hand, the report stated. It also said that the ISI was boosting such handles in a bid to spread fake propaganda against the Modi sarkar.

Intelligence Bureau officials say that such handles are created in Pakistan and often speak about intolerance in India and also the situation in Kashmir.

This is clearly being done with an intention of changing the political discourse in the country, the officer with the IB tells OneIndia. It has always been a part of the strategy by the ISI, but over the past year it has only increased.

Former officer with the Research and Analysis Wing, Amar Bhushan says that this is an old time strategy by the ISI to break India. He also adds that there are journalists in India too who are on the payrolls of the ISI who write propaganda material in a bid to debunk everything that the government does.

However the Intelligence points out that the most serious threat is from within. These are the naxalites and their city based friends. They have been the most vocal supporters of the naxal cause and would go to any lengths to spread a false propaganda. While this is a completely internal threat, the Intelligence also says that it is the most dangerous as it is heavily funded from outside.

The urban naxals in particular spread havoc in terms of propaganda. They are part of NGOs whose specific brief is to suggest that everything is wrong in the country. There are also persons part of this group who put out papers and circulate it internationally in a bid to give India a poor image.

Dr Zakir Naik likely to be extradited to India soon
July 4, 2018
KUALA LUMPUR – Televangelist and Islamic preacher Dr Zakir Naik is expected to return to India tonight after the extradition request forwarded to the Malaysian government was approved on Wednesday.“He is out of the country tonight. He will be taking a flight to India today I believe,” Malaysian government sources told Indian media outlets.Zakir had dashed to Malaysia in 2016; he was residing in Putrajaya after the Modi regime ramped up pressure on him for his alleged hate speeches.
To avoid the Indian Dragnet , this "modern mullah" has been commuting between Malaysia and Saudia ! It now seems that his time is up !
The ‘Peace TV’ scholar was accused of inciting ISIS militants who then carried out the 2016 Dhaka attack – a claim vehemently denied by Zakir Naik.

Abhimanyu case: Police tightens grip on SDPI, PF workers.
Abhimanyu murder: DGP questions accused, NIA probes terrorist links.
The case is that Abhimanyu an SFI worker was stabbed to death in college campus in Kerala. It has now been confirmed that Islamic radical outfits have been behind the murder. The CPI(M) led GoKe always insisted that RSS is the only terorrist organisation around and its presence in Hindu temple grounds is the biggest threat . The Communist parties have been supporting radical Islamic outfits for quite some time due to the vote bank politics.

The present DGP of Kerala Police, Loknath Behra was also the officer who was deputed to US to question David Coleman Headley when he was part of the NIA. Many other former senior police officials in Kerala had warned about the rising Islamic terrorism in the state, but the "secular" parties always tried to push it under the carpet.

Setback for India; Malaysia refuses to extradite Zakir Naik as long as he does not cause any problems. India Today's @Geeta_Mohan and Malaysian journalist Minderjeet Kaur share more details.

Islamic preacher Zakir Naik will not be deported, has permanent residency, says Malaysia PM
Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said on Friday controversial Indian Islamic preacher allegedly wanted in his home country for terror-related activities and hate speech will not be sent back.Zakir Naik, a radical television preacher, reportedly left India in 2016 and subsequently moved to largely Muslim Malaysia, where he was granted permanent residency.According to Indian media reports, New Delhi asked for him to be extradited in January. The two countries have an extradition treaty.
As long as he is not creating any problem, we will not deport him because he has been given permanent residency status,” Mahathir said at a news conference in administrative capital Putrajaya outside Kuala Lumpur, when asked about the reports. The reports say India had asked for Naik to be sent back for allegedly inciting youth to engage in terror activities via his hate speeches.
Naik, 52, has described the media reports as “totally baseless and false”, adding that he has no plans to return to India until he felt “safe from unfair prosecution”.In 2010, Naik was reportedly barred from entering Britain after the Home Secretary cited “numerous comments” which showed his “unacceptable behaviour”.In a July 2008 TV broadcast Naik suggested that Al-Qaeda was not responsible for flying hijacked airliners into New York’s World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, killing almost 3,000 people.Neither Indian nor Malay officials have confirmed the extradition request or the existence of any charges again Naik.
If things become too hot for him in Malaysia, he will be welcomed with open arms in Saudia . As a last resort, Pakistan is always there to give him refuge, although this option is not "palatable" Naik, who still thinks that he is an "Indian Patriot"

Seychelles, Maldives, Nepal, UK, Malayasia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan - the list of countries mocking India is long. They don't fear us, as they fear US or China. The solution is to become (i) rich and (ii) militarily powerful, and the develop the will to use our military (like the US does).

But to be militarily powerful, we need to have our own military industrial complex, which in turn cannot happen till we have (i) Govt. monopoly over defence manufacturing and (ii) generals deliberately looking to run indigenous products through whoops, so that the gravy train of imports continues.

It is the Ummah talking. To be fair there is no judgement of criminality that has been passed on him by any Indian court. No act of terrorism. Just saying incitement to terrorism and hate speech may not be enough for Ummah brother. Also cutting palm oil import is not going to help. Malaysia has 1 million Indians working there. They could hit back. Best to resolve diplomatically. But I say leave the snake there. He is far more dangerous back in India where he will get at best some light punishment and will be set free to run his business.

Huge number of Indians working in every country in the world to earn decent money is also a national weakness. America, Singapore, entire Middle East, UK - name any country and we find an army of workers from India working there, which severely restricts our options. How many Malaysians are working in India? This again goes back to building economic strength, so that citizens are not desperate to leave the shores to become rich. They should be able to become rich in India itself. But as long as Congress exists, it won't allow that to happen. Things are changing, however, with the rise of BJP.

Poverty figures drop by 50 million, India on way to become middle-income nation: Study
Study based on World Bank data says the drop has happened in the past two years, but Congress govt’s NREGA scheme also played its part.

Modi govt’s Bastar 'development offensive' showing results, tribals getting first taste of freedom (first post)

Very heartening read. Mucho recommended. And that too in First Post, must wonder whats going on only.
Debobrat Ghose of Firstpost takes a trip through the Dandakaranya forests in the Maoist-hotbed of Bastar division of Chhattisgarh — one of the most badly affected regions by LWE and site of some of the deadliest attacks on the state by Maoists — to see the changes that have reached some villages, how willing are the villagers in embracing those changes, the immense risk state administration and security forces personnel undertake daily to effect those changes, all in the shadow of the Maoists who are far from finished.
Some juicy excerpts.
Since my last visit to Bastar in 2013, both the Bastar division and the district have undergone a paradigm change. We reached Jagdalpur within the hour, without incident and here a bigger surprise was waiting for me. Jagdalpur town — the district headquarters of Bastar — was alive and bustling well past 8 pm as we drove in. Food joints, ice cream parlours, tea stalls and departmental stores were buzzing with people and, I was told, remain open till 11 pm.

This was unimaginable a few years ago.

Of course, the evening humdrum in no way suggests the eradication of Maoism in Bastar. What it does indicate is that despite the threat, people have lives to live and they have started to do so at least in some parts of Bastar.

It indicates that the "development offensive" of the central and state governments — wherein security forces cordon off an area to allow the civic administration to double down on creating public infrastructure while keeping the Maoists at bay — is at last beginning to pay off.

And consequently, the area of influence of Maoists is shrinking, slowly but surely.
More here
The roads have even boosted the confidence of people attempting to visit any of these villages in the Maoist territory.

No wonder, the biggest threat to the Maoists is not only the rifle-toting security personnel but roads that are sneaking up around them and opening up options to the tribals of a more permanent nature.

However, the nation had to pay a heavy price to build these roads in this hostile territory. A large number of Central Reserve Paramilitary Force (CRPF) jawans, policemen and construction workers were killed by Maoists during the building of these roads. A memorial arch – the ‘Shaheed Smriti Dwar’ — on the Bijapur-Basaguda road in Bijapur district to commemorate the CRPF jawans who laid their lives protecting this road from the Maoists is a reminder of the grim realities of road-building activity in Bastar.

"There has been a rapid overall development across Bastar division in the last five years and as a result, the Maoists have been pushed back considerably. You’ll find even roadside dhabhas (eateries) operating at night without any fear. Our children are now able to crack Civil Services examination and IIT entrance test. Now Bastar has rail connectivity and an airport," Dilip Wasnikar, Bastar commissioner, told Firstpost.
On my drive through the area, besides good roads, newly constructed educational institutions, hospitals, primary health centres, etc. were visible as telltale signs of efforts being made by the government. Besides central government schemes, the Chhattisgarh government as part of its development agenda in the last five years has set up nine additional government colleges including those for engineering and medical studies, two civil hospitals, 101 Ayurvedic hospitals, 140 AYUSH centres, eight primary health centres, 13 sub-health centres, 41 higher secondary schools and 58 high schools in Bastar division. Skill-development hubs, a nursing training college and free coaching institutes for civil services, IIT joint entrance and other competitive examinations have also come up.
Both rail and air route will act complementary to the upcoming 3-mpta capacity steel manufacturing project at Nagarnar, 20-km from Jagdalpur. It is not only the first greenfield integrated steel plant in this Maoist-infested tribal belt but also the National Mineral Development Corporation’s (NMDC) first steel plant as part of its diversification, value addition and forward integration programme. Till date, NMDC has been involved in the mining of iron ore at Bailadila in Bastar. It is expected to go on stream in December.
Yes, Bastar is changing. For the first time, the Maoists are being firmly pushed back, security forces are tasting more successes and the administration is making inroads into villages and tribals are getting their first taste of basic needs. In the rest of my despatches in this series of ground reports from Bastar, I will examine how this brush with the world outside is changing the tribals and their lives.

First up will be a close-up of Palnar, a small hamlet in Dantewada, one of the most volatile districts in Bastar division. Not too long ago, a villager needed permission from Maoist cadre to leave the village, and no outsider was allowed without their permission.

No longer.

When I reached Palnar, I found young boys of the village enjoying a show on Nat Geo channel on big screen, public LED. The village is changing, and how...
Jai ho, jai ho. only!
