Apparently, a call was made from this SHO's police station to local power house to cutoff power to village. This further disjointed the police that night.

This particular incident seems to show much deeper issues that training and equipment cannot solve. It seems at least some local cops there were in cahoots with the gangster. No amount of training and equipment will save you if you are betrayed by your own like this.

Anti Hindu riots
Delhi Riots: Funds received from the UK, Oman and UAE in January, Police continues to probe foreign funding link
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/delhi-a ... -oman-uae/
In a significant development, sleuths of Delhi Police have made a major revelation about the alleged foreign funding into the violent anti-Hindu riots that rocked the national capital in the last week of February. The Delhi Police in its investigation into the Delhi riots found that funds were received from the United Kingdom, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) just before the flare-up in the northeast Delhi.

According to the sources, the Delhi police personnel are in possession of a register that bears that secrets of Delhi riots funding. The register was made ahead of the violent riots and has the complete bookkeeping of how the funds were utilised and distributed with the aim to gin up the riots in Delhi, the sources and the beneficiaries of the funds, a senior officer privy to details said.

UP gangster Vikas Dubey, accused in the killing of 8 cops, shot dead while attempting to flee
Good riddance. But hope that UP Govt. has managed to get maximum information from him. And to be read with this is the fact that five of is aides have also been shot dead in different places in UP.

I am conflicted about this news.

I would have wished that he received the death penelty from the judiciary and was hanged for justice.

The death will just satisfy the call for revenge.

THey probably knew his story even when they came for him, so maybe he did not have much to share, other than maybe his bank accounts. This sends a message (i) to the rest of the gangsta's cronies that they better behave, and (ii) the judiciary has become irrelevant (Per regular procedure, he would be eating chana batura in jail for 20 years while his case got due process)- same story as the encounter in Hyderabad on the rape case where they kidnapped the lady, raped and burnt her. The judiciary has become irrelevant for most of the citizens as far as criminal (and civil) cases are concerned. (Also, this just shows how bad UP was before Yogi came on board- the gangsters were running the place. This guy was a (ex) BSP functionary too).

The guy surrendered after his nephew was shot dead and his son was taken in custody- it was him or his son and he chose his death. It sends a message- these are ones that kept the Mafia ecosystem flowing, you remove the ground level workers, then there is no one to implement unwritten policies.

The irony is that the Supreme Court had ruled that the police cannot handcuff an accused. So if the police claim that the prisoner snatched a rifle or simply tried to run away and was killed while fleeing, the Courts can't turn around and ask the police, "why didn't you handcuff him?

as a general rule, there are very few places in the world where you can kill cops and get away with it.

Sir, you seem to have high hopes on the justice system in India. From another comment I read; this chap had 62 cases in 30 years (i.e a hit rate of two cases/year). And he still was out in his bungalow and went ahead and killed 8 police officers. If any thing which gets proven here is the absolute uselessness of the Indian judicial system when it comes to speedy delivery of justice. By the way there was a case of a nun found dead in a well which happened ages back and is still being heard in the court of law. The nun if alive most likely would be in her 50s by now.

And on judicial executions. I do feel that even the Nirbhaya rapists hung mainly because; their overall poor status, their religion and then the gravity of their crime.

Hours before Vikas Dubey was killed in encounter, a petition was filed in Supreme Court seeking protection for the gangster
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/vikas-d ... ssion=true
According to the reports, the Mumbai-based petitioner Ghanshyam Upadhyay had stated that there was a high possibility that Vikas Dubey might be killed in an encounter like his aides. Citing the encounters of several of Dubey’s aides, the petitioner demanded protection for gangster Vikas Dubey.

The petitioner had also urged the Supreme Court to transfer Vikas Dubey’s case from Uttar Pradesh police to CBI. The petitioner also asked for the registration of an FIR for the demolition of Vikas Dubey’s house and other properties by the UP Police along with the killings of his associates.

The lawyer from Mumbai also stated that he had no sympathy for Dubey but maintained that in a country where even Afzal Guru and Ajmal Kasab had been given a fair trial, “Dubey cannot be simply killed by UP police officials who have become a law unto themselves”.

Unbelievable. In the pictures of the arrest near the temple, I Was wondering why he was not hand-cuffed, one policeman was holding Dubey by his pants (from the back). Did not know this was a SC ruling.

There are Supreme Court directives on hand-cuffing the prisoners. It is to be used only in the extreme cases where restraint of the arrested man would be other wise difficult. These guide lines came in with a good intention; that is to stop the practise of putting hand cuffs to humiliate the arrested person. And there was also a guide line that hand cuffs are to be avoided when travelling. Again the intention being that the arrested person's chance to escape if the vehicle meets with an accident is NOT restricted because he was hand cuffed. I have seen in states like KL, where the police men actually put two cuffs on the same hands when the accused are brought for court hearings :).

Now why does NOT the person try to escape? As per many police men it is only due to a tacit understanding between the remand prisoner and the police man on escort duty. And a slight fear that if they make an attempt and get caught; then the treatment they would be getting would not very good for their health. Again, if you notice it is the threat of physical pain which is at play here not any great fear of the juidicial system. :rotfl:

Another bizarre outcome of the Supreme Court directions is that two policemen on either side of the accused lock their hands with him as though they are some bosom buddies while he is escorted to and from the Court.

Intel warns of possible Pakistani BAT 'action' on Indian security forces in J&K
Security forces at India-Pakistan border have been put on high alert after an intelligence input revealed that terrorists are trying to sneak into Jammu and Kashmir. Sources in intelligence agencies have told ANI that input has been shared with the forces and they have been asked to keep a close watch on activities in these areas. Forces suspect that the BAT of Pakistan army is facilitating terrorists to carry out an action soon. There have been movements of terrorists towards the Indian side. Pakistan's BAT consists of its army commandos and terrorists belonging to various terror outfits. BAT has started targeting civilians as well.

Interesting, clearly points to the Ecosystem protecting itself, there were definately some elements in India involved in IC-814 hijacking

https://indianexpress.com/article/expla ... l-6504277/
The Mumbai case
In the Mumbai case, Momin was booked for obtaining forged documents to procure passports for the five Pakistani hijackers. He was booked along with 22 others in a separate case filed in Mumbai on charges including forgery, forgery of a passport, cheating and relevant sections of the Indian Passport Act. It was claimed that Momin had paid between Rs 300 and Rs 2500 to a passport agent, his employees, passport office clerks, employees of motor driving schools from where false documents were given to procure driving licences in names of the hijackers.

Updates on the Gold smuggling via the consulate baggage case in Kerala. If what is reported in Malayalam news channels are true, NIA has just seen the tip of the ice berg. The smuggling system in Kerala seems to be heavily focusing on anti-national activities. May be it was the IB findings that Delhi riots was financially sponsored by KL based organisations which got NIA involved in this case. Kerala requires a very good clean up and hope it gets done.

the fall out of the dilli investigations has led to the unearthing of a vast money trail that is operating through hawala channels and a lot of these hawala guys are non muslim.

if covid and the markaz fiasco had not intervened, there is no telling where this shaheen bagh narrative would have ended.

there were a lot of foreign players who got exposed during this well planned and well executed agitation.

their end game is not clear yet.

what was their immediate objective and how were they going to achieve tangible results to consolidate their position is not out in the public domain yet.

India is too big a country to achieve or enforce a regime change in the manner of some stupid arab spring sort of way.

IMHO, had shaheen bagh continued along its chosen flightpath, a massive godhra type of reaction would have engulfed the momin.

having exposed their jehadi hand, phase two of this project would be that much more difficult to carry our because the affected guys who were caught flatfooted earlier now know clearly what signs to watch out for.

the home ministry, as well as the intelligence agencies, would by now have infiltrated the faithfools, a point that was grossly neglected the first time around.

This was like the civilian version of kargil.

the systematic spread of the covid virus was a quickly improvised gameplan and shows their ability to think quickly and move rapidly, tactically speaking.

there is more to the cheeni app ban than meets the eye.

I strongly suspect that the GoI has quietly acquired the ability to decrypt and read whatsapp, facebook and other social media mass communication channels.

now that India has demonstrated its seriousness in the app banning business, I don't think that ameriki objections would hold much water because some of these apps have publicly gone against trump as well and trump may not be so keen to bail them out.

the mere threat of a whatsapp, facebook, etc ban would would easily make dirty jack to crack and agree to the GoI set conditions. After all, it becomes a NATSEC issue for us.

much more than financials, its the loss of their ability to weaponize their apps to influence elections, shape and slant narratives, and mold public opinion for their conversion mafia, as well as their BIF clients' nefarious agendas.

This is what brings in the very big bucks for such weaponized platforms.
