Need to station an army detachment at Lakshadweep (as a scenic peace station). This crucial piece of real estate cannot be allowed to turn into another kashmir. Lakshadweep's population is only 64,000. They can all be resettled in kerala and the islands depopulated.

Lakshadweep Jehadis actually flew under the radar because perhaps India was more concerned about Kashmir. And the islamic cultural impact at Lakshadweep need to be made by people from Maldives. The Kerala Islamist organisations themselves can take care of that aspect. There have been a steady influx of young men from Lakshwadeep to the various Muslim seminaries/religious establishments in Kerala. The current outrage of the 'seculars' in Kerala is mainly because of the concern that their Islamist/Shariah compliant out-post in Lakshwadeep is now getting hit.

The desperation amongst KL 'seculars' needs to be seen to be believed. Every day they rope in some actor or actress (most of them now sitting jobless) to show their love & concern for Lakshadweep. Today's number is from a jobless movie director who promised to commit suicide if Modi wins election a 2nd time (Shri. 'Late' Madhupal). As a show case of religious harmony they also said there is a Shiva Temple in Lakshadweep which has not been targetted by Islamists. Soon it was revealed that this temple is inside the camp of the India Reserve Battalion (currently from M.P state) stationed there. Fat chance the Islamists will dare to attack an armed police camp. And now even official commitments given by Lakshadweep MPs that temples in the islands would not be moved/desecrated is also doing its round. The assurance came after a [url=written submission made by O. Rajagopal when he was an MP.
sanjayc wrote:Need to station an army detachment at Lakshadweep (as a scenic peace station).
There is already an India Reserve Battalion (I.R Bn.) stationed there, and the personnal are from Madhya Pradesh. Perhaps more such units should be established. And there seems to be Navy and Coast Guard deployments as well. What perhaps would be required more would be to strengthen the intelligence units (outside Lakshadweep police S.B). Also there are very many islands which are not populated at all. Efforts should be made to improve these islands, and station more people there. Tourism etc can be encouraged in these islands. This would also reduce smuggling etc as it is the unpopulated islands which are becoming the holding points etc.

A Royal Past & Islamic Matrilineal Kinship: Lakshadweep's Rich History Has Always Left Chroniclers At Sea

What is the Royal Family connection?

The Arakkal family of Cannanore controlled the Lakshadweep islands from 1545 to 1819, which included the islands of Androth, Kavaratti, Agathi, Minicoy and Kalpeni. In 1789, the “Queen of Malabar" Junumabe II lost her fort to the British.

In 1908, Imbichi Ali Raja, the then Arakkal ruler of Lakshadweep, agreed to surrender sovereignty over the islands in return for an annual malikhana (pension) of Rs 23,000—an amount that is still paid to the family, which a few years ago petitioned for a raise.

Traditionally, female heads of the Arakkal house are known as Arakkal Beevis, while male heads are called Ali Rajas.

Where is the Royal Family now?

Eighty-five-year-old Adiraja Mariyumma, alias Cheriya Bikkunhu Beevi, became the new head of the Arakkal family in May 2019.

Beevi resides at her residence at Arakkal Kettu in Kerala’s Talassery, a town 20 km away from Kannur. She has been residing at Almar Mahal ever since she returned from Chennai 19 years ago.

She assumed charge as the new head of the family following the death of her predecessor and cousin, 86-year-old Sulthan Arakkal Adiraja Fathima Muthu Beevi.

What was the pension controversy?

In July 2013, the Arakkal family demanded a higher compensation from the government, if not the islands themselves.

In 1908, when the family signed the final deal with the British, the price of gold was Rs 3.30 per sovereign, says the current generation. “If you look at the present gold prices, we are entitled to Rs 13 crore a year as compensation. The royal family feels insulted at the pittance being paid," Adi Raja Muhammed Rafi, son of the then royal head Sainaba Aysha Beevi had told Indian Express.

The cow slaughter ban can be done away with as a compromise if required. All the other reforms are much needed. Cows should anyways be hard to come by in Lakshadweep and in the future, the price for transportation of live cattle and livestock, from the mainland can be increased exponentially.
Hence, what would come to the Islands would be mainly packaged meat, which in India is overwhelmingly chicken and goat/sheep etc.
Import of packaged meat should be made cheaper as compared to import of livestock and fodder etc. The pure economics itself would take care of this issue.

Developing tourism on multiple islands is a must and all the necessary infrastructure for the same should be set up as soon as possible.
Also developing prawn/shrimp and other sea food farming and packaging units for the same on a co-operative basis.

We need not settle more people in Lakshaweep. It is already overpopulated. Most of the islands are unpopulated, these should be handed over to Navy and coast guard. One or two islands can be kept for tourism.

Cows any ways are not in large number in the islands. The govt managed animal farms had less than 80 cows, and the milk they gave could not be even supplied to 5% of the population. And the expenses to maintain them was very high. The decision to sell Amul's milk products was taken after knowing that even with all the cows in the islands the milk products cannot be delivered at a good price to the population.
vijayk wrote:We need to settle 2 lakh people there
All islands in Lakshadweep are NOT populated. The population is all in few islands, and in these islands the population density is already high. What is needed is to develop a few islands for tourism and also ensure that unpopulated islands are not used for criminal & anti-national activities.

why

The standard sharia game is religious laws and practices should be followed, when in the majority. culture and religious practices must be protected, when in the minority.

So, when the "minority" community in Lakshadweep demands that the alcohol ban remains in place to protect their religious sentiments, woke liberandus will provide full support.

But, at the same time, when the Hindus ask for a beef ban in the country out of respect for their religious beliefs, they immediately get labeled as fascist and intolerant

even in 2021, why is this blind, habitual, and reflex action appeasement so desirable, especially, when it has proved to be detrimental to the country since much before independence, when the britshits wilfully divided and ruled, using this very colonial tactic to keep us subjugated and more so when such appeasement and accommodation, at the cost of the majority, was the root cause of the partition itself.

BTW, (via opIndia)

Kerala HC refuses to stay reforms initiated by Lakshadweep administration, the plea was filed by Congress leader KP Noushad Ali.

Let libtards burn in there own hypocritic stand. 1000 years of Phoren rule has made this Island someone else majority like in many parts of the country. only thing Indian that remain is Sanskrit word for the Island (Lakshadweep - 1 lakh Island group.)

Govt should initiate law reforms to allow infra development like wider and longer run way to accommodate bigger air craft, do away with permit for travel from main land, more air services from metro cities, promote tourism through Hotel infrastructure etc.
in 10 years Lakshadweep will become next Maldives. this should be done because Tourism is one industry which can generate max employment.

Attaché, consul general to be made accused in gold smuggling case: show cause notice sent.
The summary of the case is that gold was repeatedly smuggled via Thiruvananthapuram Airport packed inside 'diplomatic baggage' meant for the UAE consulate. After receiving credible tip off, the Customs took approvals and opened this bag. Gold bars were seized. Malayalis who worked closely with UAE consulate was arrested, and senior consulate officials escaped using the cover of the 'diplomatic immunity'.

There were lot of political intrigues in this episode with the arrested Malayalis have close connection with the chief minister's key staff officers. Ultimately all the political aspects remained inconclusive all politicians in the radar soon got cleared. There is also not much hope on UAE allowing their diplomatic staff to face enquiry and trial in India.

Asking for central govt intervention is like crying for band-aid. Sure take it, but don’t depend on it. We live in a country where the police dances on the beats played by the neta (not by the janta) & where the judges don’t care about the janta (because why should they?). So it is generally hard/impossible to get justice.

Have you looked into how we can improve the laws which have created this system so that we can reduce this mess and don’t have to cry for band-aids?

I had lately heard that some institution in India who isn't elected by the people of India is concerned about citizens of India. Hopefully, this institution should worry about incidents like this. Radioactive material kills the same as virus.
Bokaro: Police recover 6 kgs of Uranium from a smuggling gang, 7 smugglers arrested
https://www.opindia.com/2021/06/police- ... in-bokaro/
....
It is still unclear how the accused got hold of such a huge quantity of highly radioactive substance such as uranium. In their interrogation, the accused have been giving evasive answers when asked about how they procured uranium. At times, they claim they got it from a man from West Bengal and sometimes they claim they got it from Giridih and other places.

What’s the status of the 400,000 Bodos who were displaced due to the attack by Bangladeshi infiltrators in 2012? I think they were given shelter in govt relief camps back then. Were they sent back to their homes later, or are they still in those relief camps?

One person I know said that their homes were taken over by the attackers. Is that true? Because I haven’t read anything like this elsewhere

Here's the interview of the above four women mentioned in Sachin's post who went to Syria and Afghanistan to join ISIS. The level of brainwashing these women have been through at such a young age is shocking. One of the women says "Life in the caliphate was not upto our expectation", almost makes it sound like she order paneer tikka masala in a restaurant and it wasn't up to her standards ! It also goes to show what's in store for the christians once Hindus are out of the way.

More on the dance drama in KL by the mother of the ISIS fan Nimisha Fathima
'Want my daughter and baby back': Mother of convert woman who joined ISIS tells court.
The Kerala High Court has asked the state government and the NIA to submit a report within ten days' time. The court has also asked the Centre, Ministry of External Affairs, the NIA and the DGP to initiate proceedings to repatriate them to India.
Long legal battle awaits four Kerala women who joined ISIS
There will be no homecoming for the four Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISKP) brides from Kerala who are lodged in a prison in Afghanistan. But India will not be the first country to refuse entry to women who married ISIS fighters. Britain and France have both taken a strong stand to prevent these women from coming home.

The two reports are contradicting each other. Examples from France & Britain shows that those countries' executive and judiciary was very particular that such women did not come back to the respective countries. How ever India, is India. In Kerala at least the communist government may be in favour of them being allowed back if it can get some more minority votes .

Note: What is interesting is that it is only Bindu the mother of Nimisha Fathima who is adamant on getting her wayward daughter back in India. The families of other girls (including two X'ian families) are silent and never demanding that their daughters have to be brought back.

In the NIA interrogation video that i posted above one of the ISIS brides Sonia Sebastian constantly makes a reference to returning to her "husband's family". It is likely that their families have disowned them and they think their husband's family is their only refuge. Ofcourse once they return they'll probably immediately go through a halala and become the 2nd or 3rd wives to their dead husband's brothers or cousins. Bindu too is most likely is a xtian.

Neither KL govt nor KL HC should have any say in the matters of national security. Reminds me of the infamous doctor from Bangalore who was arrested in Australia back in 2005 or 2006 for having links with Al Qaeda. After he was deported he was given a hero;s welcome in Bangalore with the secular CM Kumaraswamy promising him a state government job ! Our love of self-inflicted wounds have no limits.

Rohingyas settled all over UP with forged Aadhaar, voter IDs, fresh arrests reveal they are getting financial aid too: Report

It has come to light that a vendor operating from the Khajuri Khas area in Delhi had facilitated the illegal immigration of Rohingyas and settled them in Uttar Pradesh.

14 June, 2021
OpIndia Staff

UP Police has revealed that the recently arrested Rohingyas have revealed how they have got forged documents

The Uttar Pradesh ATS had arrested two Rohingyas named Noor Alam and Amir Husain living in Ghaziabad with forged papers last week. The duo was sent to a five-day remand to Lucknow where they made startling revelations during the interrogation.

It has come to light that a vendor operating from the Khajuri Khas area in Delhi had facilitated the illegal immigration of Rohingyas and settled them in Uttar Pradesh, as per the reports.

Hideouts in UP
ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar revealed that the Rohingyas have begun to settle in various parts of Uttar Pradesh with forged ration cards, PAN cards and voter ID cards. As per the Aaj Tak report, the illegal migrants are being used as vote banks for which they are receiving financial aid too.

Kumar added that the Rohingyas have settled in every assembly constituency. With them having Aadhar cards, voter ID and other identity cards it is difficult to differentiate them from the local population, said Kumar.

Calling their counterparts to India
GK Goswamy, the IG of Uttar Pradesh ATS who led the operation of the arrest of Noor Alam and Hussain informed that the ATS team recovered Rs 70,000, PAN, Aadhaar and UNHCR cards from the accused.

The operation was initiated after the investigators gathered leads that suggested the duo was also involved in a racket of assisting other Rohingyas to sneak into India through different channels.

Goswamy in a statement to The Times of India informed, “Initial interrogation revealed that Noor Alam and Amir Hussain were calling their counterparts to India. They used to extort money from Rohingyas on the pretext of helping them in getting jobs and documents made. The duo were bringing Rohingyas to India via Bangladesh.”

Rohingyas caught in 2021
Reportedly Noor Alam was the brother-in-law of Azizul Haq, also a Rohingya, who was arrested by the ATS in January this year from Sant Kabir Nagar district. Haq had been living in India for 20 years on forged documents.

On February 28, Mohammad Farooq and Hasan were arrested from Aligarh following which Farooq’s brother was also nabbed from Unnao on March 01. Shahid was caught with fake Indian identity documents and 5 lakhs.

It is during this interrogation it was revealed that the Rohingyas have settled in thousands all across the state with the help of their relatives.

Most Rohingyas have been employed at slaughterhouses in Aligarh, Agra and Unnao as per the reports.

I'm not sure that it's that covert. It's pretty overt even in places like GJ. Just recently there was a case of Bengali Muslim flying back a minor Hindu girl to Bengal from GJ. In GJ, everyone knows where to head to get fake documents to get their financial dealings going.

Various buffer zones have collapsed and anyone willing to venture into green zones can clearly see what's going on in GJ.

The biggest threat to India will come from china and pak from the south.

That is why lakshadweep has become a serious bone of contention because the process has already been kick-started from here.

Kerala is the biggest human resource supplier to the ISIS and Tamil Nadu is the biggest human resource supplier to the LTTE, and the citizens of both these states are happy to call themselves secular.

Mean while on the "secular" front...
1. It all began with U.P. Police arrest two Kerala PFI men on terror charge
2. The interrogation by UP police and tip-off by the Tamil Nadu Police Q Branch led to 96 gelatin sticks seized from Konni (Pathanamthitta Dt., Kerala). Looks like there was a terror camp conducted by PFI following the Vagamon model arms training camp held in Kollam. There were reports in the Malayalam news channels that a Dy. SP who was part of the State Special Branch who was to have reported such events was actually working hand in glove with the Islamists  .
3. And NIA is doing its work silently and diligenty. NIA files chargesheet against ISIS terrorist in Chennai. It may not be a coincidence that there is a game plan to push the ISIS-brides from Kerala now detained in Afghanistan back to South India .

The law didn't require a dashboard to track. Let's see how far it goes. The credit goes to Yogi and his increasing popularity within GJ. The competition is always good.

To Republic TV, Sudarshan, etc., If you mean business then you would be tracking all FIRs across India and having a dashboard.
Vadodara Police registers first offence under anti Love Jihad law in Gujarat -

Vadodara: Gotri Police has here registered first offence under recently amended Religious Freedom Act, popularly known as anti – Love Jihad act. Samir Abdul Kureshi, a mutton shop owner who allegedly identified and presented himself with different name and faith to a victim Hindu girl over social media in 2019, made victim girl pregnant twice, forced her to abort on two occasions, forcibly married and converted her to Islamic faith, changed her name to Muslim name after wedding, refused her to follow Hindu faith any more, disallowed her to wear bindi and Hindu symbols has been arrested by Vadodara Police under amended Religious Freedom act according to DCP Zone 2 Jayraj Sinh Vala. According to police, a victim girl, who was unaware about Qureshi’s actual religion, learnt about the accused and his faith around a year ago when a “nikah” ceremony was organised after she agreed to marry him. The accused also verbally abused the victim using casteist slurs, police said.

UP: ATS claims to have busted religious conversion racket
UCKNOW: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday claimed to have busted a racket involving illegal conversion of poor individuals and children with speech and hearing disabilities belonging to other religions to Islam.

The accused - identified as Mohammed Umar Gautam, who himself is a convert and a resident of Batla House area and Mufti Kazi Jahangir Qasmi, the chairman of Islamic Dawah Center (IDC) In Jamia Nagar in Delhi -- are allegedly involved in religious conversion of around 1,000 people, the ATS said.

ADG (law and order) Prashant Kumar said that the names Umar and Jahangir had cropped up during the interrogation of Kashif and Vipul Vijayvargiya who were arrested in connection with a conspiracy to attack Guru Yati Narshighanand Saraswati of Ghaziabad on June 2. During the interrogation, it was revealed that Vipul’s real name was Ramzan and he had adopted a Hindu name merely to avoid suspicion and enter Guru Yati’s temple complex in Dasna area of Ghaziabad.

Ah the irony

Invisible killer stalking Maoists, several top guns fall to Covid-19
Booming guns and skirmishes with the security forces in deep jungles are not the main sources of worry for Maoists at present. It is the dreaded coronavirus that hangs over their heads like a sword of Damocles in the red corridor spread across Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha.

Bhadradri Kothagudem district SP Sunil Dutt told TOI, “At least eight Maoist leaders and cadres have died of Covid-19 in the second wave,” he said.
Police said around 15-20 others have severe Covid-19 infections, while some Maoists left the cadre due to fear of contracting the virus.

UN report on IS in Kerala not alarming, but matter of concern
The Anti Terrorist Squad of K.P itself became laughing stock last month. An officer from this squad was actually supporting the Jehadis. Tip off of his activities came from Tamil Nadu Police Q Branch and UP Police (after a couple of peacefuls from K.L was arrested in UP). The state DGP is about to superannuate from service, so now he has 'realised' the real terror threats for the state.

displeasure over recent cashmere developments where the pakis expected a redux because they thought that their international pressure tactics had worked.

a message is being sent to Modi.
